A weary hand ran through midnight locks, a flash of silver deepening in his midnight eyes the only outward sign of Kayan’s true distress. He was used to this. It didn’t mean anything to him, didn’t affect him in the slightest. Not anymore. It was like breathing. Or at least that was as much as Kayan would allow himself to believe as he approached a familiar corner. An innocent appearing corner. What could possibly be so threatening about one corner. But it wasn’t the corner as such that brought the deep inner dread that Kayan forced back and ignored the existence of. No, it was not the corner itself but what the corner represented… the fact that it was this particular corner and the nightlife that came to haunt it when all decent folks were asleep.
Kayan paused in the shadows, weary to step into the dull flicker of artificial light, running sweaty palms across his leather pants. Pants that clung to him like a second skin, riding low on his slender hips and revealing the edge of an intricate tattoo only hinting at the pattern that lay beneath the silver shirt the slight figure wore affording him about as much modesty as the leather pants did which was barely any at all. He couldn’t afford modesty in his line of business. Not of he wanted to entice some of the higher paying clientele.
Deciding he had procrastinated enough Kayan changed his usually awkward and shy way of moving and sauntered up to his place next to the light, exuding pure animal magnetism and sexuality, every movement calculated to seduce. It had taken him years to perfect. He still disliked it and felt alien doing it but he had mastered the movement and would fulfil his task to the utmost as he needed the skill to survive. It was almost as if he became a different person when he was on the job… which was not too far from the truth he guessed. He WAS a whole entirely different person, not allowing himself to even think upon what he was actually doing and what it was doing to both his body and soul.

Light stepped out of his ship, frowning up at the hunk of metal that had decided to stall on him. It had landed here of all places, on Earth. The Sensaforian half breed was confused and lost. He brushed light blue fingers through his short hair, refraining from cursing. His mother often told him that after the accident, he'd leaned towards the tendency of swearing outright. Empaths were supposed to be gentle creatures, eager to please. The night of his accident, the one that had stolen a larger part of his memory, he had changed. No longer was he so sweet and innocent. He was confused, and now-because of his ship, more than angry.
When he'd left for a vacation, a cleansing of his still healing body, he hadn't even thought of coming to Earth. The planet was full of close minded people and he didn't really feel like explaining why his skin was the palest blue, why his hair was unnaturally silverish. He'd tried dying it, so he didn't look so pale, but it had hardly worked. He was left still looking like a half dead boy, dark emerald eyes set in his thin face. Growling, putting up the cloak on his ship he made his way out of......well he supposed it was a small forest. It bordered the street of some sort of settlement, a city by the looks of the lights. Just great. More humans than he knew what to do with. As he moved the chain-expensive chains, ones his life bearer had given him when he'd come of age, clinked around his neck. Three golden loops swayed in his ear and and he was adorned in the finest of robes. They didn't aggravate his sensitive skin.
The young boy blocked out the feeling of too many humans shoved into one place, putting up walls. He dind't want to find himself falling under someones spell, feeling what he shouldn't. The empath let out a yawn and moved gracefully down the street. There had to be some place to get food and a nice bed around here. Just for the night, mind you. He would be gone tomorrow. Emerald eyes snapped to a firgure standing on the sidewalk. He looked the other over, trying to make out in the dark if it was a boy or...dind't they have females around here? No matter. He stopped a few feet away, trying to decide if he could walk by without going into the streetlight. That would most definately give away the color of his skin.

A vehicle pulled up. One, Kayan realised with a chill of dread crawling though his spine, he recognised. It was one of his more... how should he phrase it... 'aggressive' customers. But aggresive or not, he paid well and if Kayan wanted to survive he could not afford to be choosy. Hiding his disgust from the client and his faint trace of terror from even himself he sauntered over towards the vehicle and leaned forward, casually leaning against the door as the window was open. He slid on a hauty seductive smile, falling into a practiced role. As long as he was acting a different person, he could pretend it was not him doing these awful things... enduring... being violated. As long as he was acting, it was happening to someone else and it ensured his next meal ticket. "What would be your pleasure." He pratically purred, pure seduction dripping from his lips, his eyes raking over the customer in a way he knew would turn the big man on. This customer liked it when he was hauty and cheeky... it made... punishment... more fun.
The man grinned at him trailing a finger across Kayan's face, sending a sudder of disgust through Kayan, a shudder of disgust carefully disguised as an erotic ploy at pleasure and ecstacy. Suddenly the man snatched Kayan's fragile wrist roughly pulling the boy against the car, using all his force, Reaching up he dragged Kayan's head into the car and bit his ear before whispering. "Just a litte fun bouya." He stated in what he considered to be a seductive tone... A tone that only brought cold shivers to Kayan. Shivers again misinterpreted as lust. "You really are one sick slut." He licked at the edge of Kayan's ear. "Never getting enough of me."
Kayan bit his lip, knowing the man required no response, regulating his breath in order to ignore the door digging into his ribs knowing the man did that deliberatly... to cause him place, show him his place but most of all to establish his dominancy over Kayan. Kayan waited it out, knowing the man would soon release him, whereupo he would enter the car and bruised ribs would become the least of his problems.

Light didn't know what was going on. What was that strange contraption that had pulled up? It's lights beamed onto him, blinding him. He flinched, unsure what to do. They would be able to see his skin, everything about him. The boy tried to move but no matter where he turned he was blinded and he wasn't used to it. He didn't know that if he disappeared into the shadows he would be safe from the headlights reach. The empath hadn't bothered reading up on this planet. Numbly he stood, emerald eyes closed against the glare, trying to find out what was happening. He opened up his walls just a bit, only to be floored by a wave of disgust and one, even larger, of lust. The sensaforian bit back a cry, quickly building the walls back up. there was only one way to get the dastardly light out of his eyes.
"Excuse me!" He yelled, standing tall, chin tilted. "Would you mind turning off your lights? There are other people walking here who don't want to be disturbed by...whatever it is you're doing." He glared liquid green fire at the person in the car. He could see that the other was a boy now, despite the dots dancing in his eyes. Quite slender, dressed in so many tight clothes it would've had Light blushing if he hadn't already travelled to Jeskara. He was very pretty and Light felt a tiny tug. The man in the car had to be the one from whence he got the lust. The boy didn't look to be too consumed by passion. In fact, he looked in pain and all too reluctant to be having any sort of coversation with the other.
Light folded his slender arms, his robe sleeves falling back to his forearms, revealing his cache of golden bracelets. If he had been more self-concious, let alone a life-bearer he would bow his head and continue on his way. Although Light was gentle by nature and very understanding, he angered easily-as usual among Sensaforians, and he wasn't very patient when others didn't listen. He had a right mind to tell someone off-for his ship breaking down, for being stuck on this backwater planet with no food, and for the strange human blocking his path.

Both Kayan's and his customers attention were caught by the figure standing in the car's headlights. The man leant out the window to glare at the stranger, his lights giving the stranger a strange green sheen. "If you are displeased with what we are doing here, take yourself elsewhere." The man spat out. "Though..." the man's face took on an unpleasant sneer. "I suspect that you are simply ashamed of your own pervertion. If the lights bother you so much, step to the side into the shadows and go find your own whore!"
"Now..." The man's tone once again turned sulty. "Where were we?" His eyes narrowed in displeasure when he realised that he did not have Kayan's complete and utter attention. In fact it seemed that the stranger seemed to still hold 'his' whores attention. And that... was unacceptable to him. Reaching out, he grabbed Kayan's hair, visciously pulling Kayan's face around, uncaring of the pain he was more than likely inflicting. Revelling in it in fact.
Kayan's midnight eyes widened in sudden realisation of what he had done. The man did not look pleased and well he knew what that meant. He ruthlessly stamped down the sheer terror he felt, silently watching the man. A cruel smile touched the man's lips. He would have to punish his whore. Punish him for his lack of attention. Pulling on the long strands, holding Kayan's head in an extreamly uncomfortable and painful position, he leant forward, to whisper into Kayan's ear. "Walk around, enter and we will leave to a place where there are less... distractions." The last word held a world of mingled meanings and threats. When Kayan nodded his understanding, ignoring the increase in pain, the man released him, knowing he had won.
Kayan refrained from rubbing the spot where his hair had been pulled and slowly made his way around the car, his gaze once more drawn to the stranger that had interupted in. He slowed as he walked past the stranger, almost within touching distance, confused silver flecked midnight eyes, meeting deep emerald. When he reached the other side of the car, he turned his body as to still keep his gaze on the stranger, making the mistake of further displeasing his customer.
The man in the car felt his rage rise reaching across and snatching Kayan be the wrist even before the boy had managed to open the car door properly, pulling the boy violently in, causing Kayan to bump painfully against the dashboard, door and gears. The moment Kayan was in and ignoring the fact that he was sprawled awkwardly, the man reached over again to close the door and hastily drove away, sneering at Light as he drove past, obvious malice apparent in his features. A short distance down, Kayan's face could be seen, peering back at Light, pale in the darkness of the night.

Light felt like something was being ripped away from his when the car disappeared. The boy had been so focused on him and when he'd passed-just in front of him, Light had felt the unearthy urge to reach out and drag him close. Confused emerald eyes glanced back over his shoulder, unsure of what to do now. It was such a large city, he'd probably never see the boy again. That thought depressed him more than it should. Those midnight eyes had looked so haunted-defeated and Light wanted to make it better. Shaking himself, the sensaforian turned, continuing to walk on. He could still catch scent of the boy on the almost non-existant breeze. And the stale scent of the man in the car. He didn't know what a whore was but he had a pretty good idea that it was a bad thing. It had been said with so much anger and Light hoped he hadn't opened up the opportunity for the other ot get hurt.
He continued down the street, feeling oddly sick and confused. Something was telling him to go after the car, but he could hardly catch up now, let alone know where it was. He had no Ai in his ship to keep track and he was already so confused on this planet as it was. He hunched his shoulders and cut through some small side streets, getting furthur from the corner. He caught sight of a glowing sign ahead and read the words hotel on it. The hotel in question looked racy. Couples were disappearing into it and the lights glowed an abnoxious shade of yellow. Light shook his head and continued on. There was no way in Zerca he was going there. He'd wander all night if he had too.

It was early… very early morning by the time Kayan was dropped off at the corner once more. The man had taken him to some kind of ‘posh’ establishment on the other side of town. Posh but hardly legal. Kayan shuddered in remembrance. He never wanted to go through that again. Maybe he should go find another corner. Worst of all, the damn bastard had neglected to pay him, claiming it was only fair punishment for Kayan’s blatant slight upon him earlier.
Kayan ran a hand through midnight hair, revealed to be deep blue by the faint rays of sunlight peering beyond the horizon, face drawn. For some strange indiscernible reason, he suddenly remembered a pair of emerald eyes. A pair of emerald eyes and a slight, rather strangely clothed figure. The reason for his harsh punishment, he knew but could not find it within him to blame the stranger or even be mad at him. It was his own fault, though he could not, for the life of him figure out, what about the stranger had him so enthralled. Worse yet... the stranger 'still' dominated his thoughts.
Kayan growled in frustration, tugging on his own strands to bring to task his own wandering mind. He had a long day ahead of him and an even longer night. Because he had been unpaid, he had to come out again. He only hoped he managed to patch up the damage ‘he’ (another shiver) had done. Fortunately, most remained hidden behind his clothes. Another fortunate fact was the fact that his pants were black, concealing the traces of blood that had seeped through.
A surge of emotion coursed through. Deep sated anger at the ‘man’ momentarily overrode Kayan’s normally calm demeanour, causing him to swear violently and angrily lash out at the pole hissing at the pain the movement and the immovable object had caused. Kayan grabbed hold of the pole using it as support while he regained his equilibrium, then pushing himself away from it he glared at it, as if blaming the inanimate object for everything that had happened to him and existence itself. Knowing that he couldn’t risk remaining there any longer, Kayan turned and began to carefully make his way home, pride demanding that he show no weakness, tired eyes gazing down the suddenly all too long road. Emerald eyes haunting him every step of the way.

Walk all night he had. Light winced at his feet, aching as the sun started coming up. He knew he shouldn't be out when the earth dwellers starting waking but he couldn't find his way back. And he was beyond tired. The empath found himself collapsing onto a bench. A park bench, he supposed, seeing as how he was surrounded in well manicured lawns and flowerbeds. Light slumped over his knees, the muscles quivering from actually being allowed to rest. He slipped his shoes off and inspected the tender bottoms of his feet, glaring at deep blue marks rubbed on the bottoms, that would, inevitably, turn into blisters. Just great. He'd seen half of the city, including a very worn down part of it where people stared at him and walked by with hardly concealing clothes. He'd seen everything and through it all he'd remembered those deep midnight eyes.
Eyes that haunted him with their ancient look, a look of deep hurt and longing...longing for what? He wasn't sure, but he was sure the man that had taken the boy away was mean. He'd hurt him when he'd pulled him into the car.....Light tried to get the other out of his mind, pulling at light silver locks, scrunching his eyes closed against a headache. His eyes hurt and all he wanted to do was sleep......curl into his robes and sleep. The bench was more than uncomfortable, not something he wanted to stay on. He leaned back, a thin light blue hand running down his face, trying to drag with it all of his sleepiness. "Zerca help me...." his stomach let out a long, low growl furthur aggravating his situation. He closed his eyes for a minute...just a minute......
The Sensaforians face fell, silver hair covering his face as he fell asleep, a black void of exhaution covering him.

Kayan wandered down the street his mind wandering into thoughts he himself would not be able to remember once he realized. Thus, Kayan wasn’t really paying attention to his surroundings and before he knew it he had wandered down a street he didn’t usually use on his way home. His gaze sharpened in sudden realization, a small crease forming in the furrow of his brow. He groaned in pain naming himself all kinds of fool. Now his route home would be longer and his dull aching body protested the fact.
Sighing in defeat, knowing there was no changing the fact he turned towards the park, knowing the road he wanted to be on was on the other side and deciding to cut through the park, hopefully cutting his journey home. Kayan didn’t know the park. He didn’t go there. It symbolized too much innocence and cleanness for someone like him. Too much beauty and a faint tempting peace that tantalized him with its intangibility.
Half way through the park, or at least by his own reckoning, Kayan paused, a faint shimmer of blue drawing his attention to the right. His eyes widened in sudden recognition. On the park bench, apparently asleep was a faint blue figure. So his skin really was a faint blue… This was the first thought to rush through Kayan’s mind, his gaze then drawn to the beautiful faint silver hair. Silver that reminded him of the distant beauty and peace of a deep night sky scattered with stars. Strangely, the stranger’s odd coloring did not repel Kayan in the least. In fact, it seemed to draw him closer to the figure. Before Kayan even realized what he was doing he had snuck up to the figure, inspecting it from a closer distance.
Suddenly tired, too tired to continue on home, Kayan settled down on the bench beside the strangely enthralling creature. Damn, Kayan didn’t know what drew him to the figure like a moth to flame and was too tired to even try and decipher that enigma. Assuming he would be able to or even cared that is. Moments later, Kayan was asleep, head resting on the strangers shoulder, feeling unusually safe and protected.

Light shifted in sleep, uncomfortably warm. He was sweating and wondered why he had pulled a blanket on. Emerald orbs cracked open, blinded momentarily by the sun his above him. He had fallen asleep he realized, flushing and blinking rapidly to get rid of multicolored dots behind his eyelids. The sun was beating down on him and he was dismayed to find his skin flushed darker blue. That meant he was burnt and when it healed a bit, he would be 'tanned' a deeper blue. Now he'd definately not be able to go about without properly covering himself.
The sensaforian stretched, frowning when he found he couldn't move his right side, especially his arm which was numb from being asleep. Grumbling tiredly he looked, only to have a mass of midnight tinged sapphire hair in his face. It looked strangely farmiliar and he peeked at the face, gasping to find the boy from last night curled against him, his soft breath stirring the robes on his arms. Already a bruise was standing out on his beautiful pale face and Light found that, that pained him. He studied the boy, cocking his head and brushing a few strands of hair from the others face. More bruises...a couple red marks on his neck...Light could smell blood and knew the boy had gotten punished for not getting in the car.
The way in which he was punished was obvious and Light wanted to hunt the man down and tell him exactly what he thought of him...maybe make his life Hell. instead, he shifted only a bit to curl his legs onto the bench, letting the boys upper body fall into his lap. His shoulder came to life within moments, tiny pinpricks rushing life fire down through his arm until he could flex his fingers successfully. He leaned over the other, situating him comfortably. Really, he should be getting them out of the hot sun but he dind't know where his ship was and he didn't have a room. Yawning he began crooning a song he knew from Zerca, a hand gently pushing soothing waves into the other. His walls were down now as he read the pain in the other, trying to work on making the other comfortable.

A slight jarring movement tugged at Kayan’s sleep filled mind, drawing his attention towards a wakeful state only to be quickly forgotten when a faint tune seemed to sooth his pain away, ensuring his deeper fall into the depths of dreams and keeping him there for far longer than he was used to but still not long enough as he needed.
Kayan finally awoke in the early afternoon, his internal body instincts drawing him out. Sleepily he opened his eyes, the silver flecked midnight orb’s immediately widening upon meeting the emerald from the night before. Kayan froze; his body tense and his mind racing to make sense of where he found himself. He flushed, turning his faintly sun reddened skin even more red, and was up and off the stranger like a shot, having rolled off his lap, onto the ground and into a defensive position.
Face, regaining its natural colour (slight sunburn aside of course), Kayan narrowed his eyes in sudden outward animosity. “Who the hell are you?” He snapped aggressively, his outward aggression hiding inner fear, uncertainty and more than a little confusion.

Light smiled down at the boy when he began awakening. No matter how angry he was at this world, he couldn't find himself angry at the other. In fact, he was trying to save him from the sun so he wouldn't get burnt, leaning over him so his shadow would fall on the skin that mattered. That's why he was so startled when the other suddenly awoke, starry eyes-they seemed like the night sky themselves-meeting his emerald. The boy rolled off of him and he pulled his hands to his side, steadying himself. Using up your empthy to help someone in pain wasn't without consequences. The others anger confused him momentarily.
"My name is Light........" He still smelled the blood and wondered if the other was injured or if that had just been from what the man did to him. "I should've woken you, I suppose. You were asleep at my side when I awoke...." He couldn't believe how lenient he was being. There was no hardness in his eyes, no anger in the way his body was held. He didn't want to scare the other. "Forgive me," he murmured and stood up to stretch, finding that his legs didn't want to work. They quivered weakly and his feet ached.

"No." Kayan protested, shaking his head, not having received the response he was looking for. "That is not what I meant." His eyes continued to stare at the other warily. "Who 'are' you? Why am I drawn to you? What have you done to me?" He continued to demand, rapidly shooting questions at the stranger, not even realizing that he had yet to question the boy's more than strange physical appearance. For some strange reason, it did not appear all that odd to Kayan. Not with his own rather unusual appearance.
"Have you placed some spell on me? If so, take it off. Take it off now!" Kayan's voice rose in slight panic at the thought. Kayan's pupils narrowed suddenly taking note of the other boy's weakness. Suddenly he was shamed at the thought of accusing the other boy of cursing him. The boy looked like he could barely walk, let alone curse anyone.
Kayan's stance shifted, relaxing suddenly, a rush of sympathy causing him to stand up and limp over to the boy, ducking under his arm in order to assist him. Kayan frowned at the motion. Since when had he given a damn about anyone else?" He couldn't figure out why he was doing this but something within him demanded it and he was loath to disobey the urge. Maybe the stranger did have him in some kind of spell. Bitterness ran through him at the thought causing Kayan to scowl as he glared up at the strange boy. "Where do you live?" He snapped shortly, intending to take the stranger home and get away from him and the strange effect he was having on Kayan as quickly as possible.

Light felt like he was about to fall. His body was going to give out on him and he'd be stuck here. The sensaforian was confudsed by the others words and chalked up his silence to being tired and sick, though he knew it wasn't that. He felt drawn to the other, like he could stay right here forever and be entirely happy, just as long as the other was by his side. The empath opened his mouth to answer only to find that the other had come over, supporting him with an arm around his torso. He smiled slightly and looked down at the other, thinking with satisfaction that he was atleast a foot taller.
The boy smelled good, even with the other mans scent smeared on him and Light had the unbearable urge to burry his nose in that midnight hair, maybe bite at the others neck. He was startled and looked away a little. "I have no home here," he answered tiredly. "I'm lost and without food or shelter......you should probably just leave me here. I'll rest and be off then..." his arm felt right, laying across the others shoulders as it was. He cocked his head, walls still down as he contemplated this unique human. He was not Zercan so he hadn't been schooled nor raised on finding a mate. He wouldn't know until it hit him what it felt like to find the other half of your soul. As it was, he was feeling warm inside and was dismayed that he couldn't get angry at all.
This boy was changing him. He didn't know how. He'd just met him but already he felt so much compassion, like he should protect the other and never let another man-much less the one from last night-hurt him and abuse him. "And you? Do you live around here or are you a wandering angel? You look like an angel....with the heavens for eyes..." He sighed and swayed a bit, rubbing his free hand over his forehead. "Really, you shouldn't worry about me...i'll be fine...." Even as he said it he was trying to remove his arm from around the other, trying to get away so he could inspect just what he was feeling without the object of his attention stealing every shred of his concentration.

Kayan continued to glare at Light, disgruntled by the rush of strange emotion he felt. Emotion that seemed to bind him to this stranger against his conscious will. Kayan bared his teeth, letting out a wild disgruntled snarl as if to threaten the stranger away but immediately contradicted himself by not releasing Light, when the boy struggled to pull away. Suddenly Kayan knew he was defeated. Defeated by the unknown, unfamiliar force that drew him towards this stranger. He knew he couldn’t leave him. He didn’t know why but he knew he couldn’t, so he did the next best thing. He turned away dropping his gaze onto the ground and began to walk, his own aching body protesting the additional strain of supporting the other but he ignored it.
“I’m no effin angel.” Kayan snarled viciously, anger he did not really feel in his tone. “If I were I’d have been damned a long time ago.” Kayan’s tone showed no sign of softening. He’d learnt a long time ago that if you really wanted others to leave you alone and not top pity you, a sharp tongue was the best means of accomplishing such. He ignored the question about where he lived. It seemed the stranger would find out soon enough seeing as Kayan was currently leading him there for reasons still unknown and certainly unwanted. Kayan wished he knew what drew him to this stranger, what it was that drew him to behave in such a strange manner so that he could rid himself of it. Kayan certainly didn’t need to care about anything let alone anyone… himself included. “I don’t give a damn about you.” He snapped, desperately trying to convince himself of the statement that he immediately knew to be a lie. “For all I care you could just die…” Yet his actions continued to give lie to his words as he carefully measured his steps in order to give the other the most comfort possible ignoring his own bodily discomfort in favor of the other.
((It be alright… Maybe we will have better luck tomorrow * grin* I will come back in roughly 3 hours anyway in order to check as I am also going right now. A friend of mine invited me to supper… Here’s hoping for the best… right?))
