"No, you're not....." Light wanted nothing more than to reach forward and gather the boy close. He watched him bury his face away, talk to himself for a few minutes, and could even practically hear his brain working. Then when those misty midnight eyes raised to his once more, he couldn't help himself. Ever so gently he moved forward, hugging the small boy to his warm body, cooing into his hair.
"It's alright now, see? I can take care of you. You don't have to go around worrying about other men hurting you, or where your next meal is coming from because......I want to be the only one you look to..." Confusin radiated off the small lifeform against him and he shook himself, cursing for breaking the news like that. He should've done it more....he didn't know, gently or something. "You're not dying, and you're not in any sort of coma or anything. I know it sounds crazy at the moment but let me....let me show you something." He stepped back and took Kayan's hand into his, leading the boy through the rest of the trees and brush.
Lights ship was a small little thing that gleamed sleek in what little moonlight there was. It was a one person ship with no Ai, but if he had the mind to, he could fit Kayan inside. The boy could have his bed, could always use the shower first, anything and everything he wanted to. "This is my ship that i'm leaving on. I was hoping...maybe you'd like to go with? If you don't Kayan...I will gladly wait for you, for as long as it takes to get you to believe, to understand..." He watched the boy in the darkness, smiling softly.

Kayan shook his head, his eyes wide, backing slightly away… or at least as far as Light’s grip on his hand would allow. “What the hell is that?” Kayan resorted to his most trusted method of hiding his confusion, uncertainty but most off all… vulnerability. The method? Course anger and violent words. ‘A spaceship?” He mocked, in an attempt to discount what he saw. “Do you really expect me to believe that that is a spaceship and that you are not quite mad? Insane… completely out of your mind? Do you really expect me to believe in fairy tales and happy endings? In not having to throw away the only thing you were left in possession of in order to survive? Pride, moral values and self respect mean nothing and don’t feed a hungry stomach. ”
Kayan continued to back away, trembling as he fought the desire to rush back into those arms and the warmth they had given him. “Are you trying to seduce me? Seduce me with warmth, care… all the things that don’t exist? Empty promises? What can you hope to gain? You have seen where I live, what I do for a living. I have nothing worth anything to give. Worth stealing from me. Even the remnant of my soul have been stolen… a long time ago, so what the hell do you want form me?” Kayan was screaming now, the sheer loss of control driving him to desperate measures. He didn’t understand what was happening, didn’t understand the sheer emotions driving him insane inside let alone the actual strange events that had instigated them. What right did some stranger have to just waltz into his life and disrupt it so?

Light kept his tight grasp on Kayans hand, not letting the boy escape no matter how much he wanted to. He had him now, had, had him in his arms and there was no way he was going to let him go. "I expect you to believe what you want, hide from reality, whatever you want. But I do not expect you to run from me, nor do I expect you to go back to that life." He tipped his head and stared down at the frightened boy, looking back at the spaceship with something akin to calmness, patience. He wouldn't be going home until he had Kayan successfully willing to leave. And he wasn't going to let the boy go back to sleeping with people and being hurt to feed himself and pay for such a ramshackle apartment. He deserved more and even if Kayan didn't believe, he did.
"I offer no empty promises," he said quietly, calm to Kayan's hysteria. "I do not seduce, I love and if you don't accept that yet, that's fine. I want nothign from you except....you. The way you are Kayan, wounded as you are. I don't care. I can accept anythign about you, everything-offer to love everything about you. These wounds..." He pulled the boy close with a small tug on his arm, reaching out to gently ghost over his hips and ribs, the side of his face. "They heal within days-weeks. It's the wounds inside that take years to heal. I want to be able to heal those for you. I understand that you don't believe. Some one as hurt as you must not trust easily. It's the cold, hard facts. But i'm not leaving. I'm not going to be some elusive man in your life that disappears after a night. You can turn around right now and scoff at me, try running away but I won't let you. I'm not leaving and i'm not some illusion you can get rid of." He didn't know where he was going with this. He wanted to make Kayan understand that he'd love him, unconditionally, no matter what. No matter how hard he fought, nor how bad he was hurt. Light knew pain, he knew that it took ages to heal. He'd gone through it and was willing to let Kayan lean on him and get better, experience love and respect.

Kayan continued to pull at his arms, not really trying to get away but tugging none the less. He was overwhelmed and confused and every time he was near Light he found his very thought process effected in ways he had not deemed possible. He believed everything Light said even though his life and experiences had taught him different. Even though his mind fought the concepts, his heart accepted them as true and overrode anything his mind attempted to say.
He whimpered softly in distress, wanting to break down and scream or cry and throw something… Damn it… He didn’t know what he wanted, how he was supposed to react… what he was supposed to do. He had never been faced with anything remotely like that. It seemed that Light wanted more than his body… refused to touch him in fact until he got more. Seduction Kayan could deal with. Sex, Kayan could deal with but not this! It terrified him. “No.” He whispered… “No, no, no. You can’t… I can’t… its not possible…” Kayan was losing coherency and losing it fast, the world spinning around him in confusion as he began to hyperventilate, not knowing what else to do.

"It is possible," he murmured, keeping hold. "You can...i can...we can," he became distressed at the hopeless bursts of breath coming from the boy, at the way he swayed hopelessly on his feet, still tugging in vain against Lights grasp. He didn't know what was happening, why the boy seemed so desperate to escape. He did know, however, that Kayan looked on the brink of collapse. Before the boy could sink Light had him around the waist, holding him up.
"Kayan?" He was hyperventilating, panicking and Light whimpered in confusion. "Are you alright? Come on....Kayan?" The boy seemed to have blacked out or something, his body sagging dangerously in Lights arms. After a brief pause he bent and picked Kayan up into his arms, settling him to find the panel on the side of the ship. He went inside to his tiny room and slipped the boy onto his bed, pulling the coverlet up around him. Light wasn't sure whether he should take off for home or not. He was sure he was never going to let the human go back to being used by other men. Instead he set the ship to go slowly, giving him time to break through to Kayan and hopefully get the boy over being kidnapped....

Kayan blinked in confusion, his environment rather unexpected. He didn’t remember this place at all which was strange. True that he often left with customers to places unknown but he usually took a moment to study the environment he was in before he allowed himself to fall asleep or more likely than not with more rough customers… pass out.
He frowned sitting up and running a nervous hand through his long midnight hair. His eyes raced around the room, trying to take in the slightest details when he suddenly remembered… remembered the strange events in his recent life. Events he had been desperately hoping were a dream. He groaned in realisation dropping his face onto his knees. He must be in the strange… strange… he didn’t know what to think of it as, as he refused to believe or call it a spaceship, no matter how much his inner self knew better.

Light was in the cockpit, charting a course, bent over the control panel to tap at the screen. He hated going through all the buttons, working over everything. This is why he had requested an Ai from his mother but the man had told him no, to learn to do it himself, keep his mind off of things. Well, it was definately doing that. He finished up with a growl and roughly shoved away from the panel. The next stop was the small kitchen to make something for Kayan. The boy hadn't eaten and he was intent on getting his mate helthy and helping him heal the wounds the man had left.
The cupboards were filled, packed full of boxes of food and various cans. He had no idea how to cook half of it. The cooks back at home were very good and so was Kayan. Sighing, he tugged out two instant meals and put them in the oven. Better to have something edible than something you couldn't even recognize.

Getting tired of sitting in the strange room and restless from doing nothing, Kayan slid out of the bed noting absently that he was barefooted. He yawned sleepily, for some reason comfortable enough to let his guard done... For some strange reason everything about Light allowed him to get his guard down and that was precisely the problem. Kayan acted more honestly around Light than he had around anyone, including himself, in years... He wasn’t completely allowing lack of control, too many years of distrust and wariness preventing such but the sheer rush of emotion was confusing him to no end.
Kayan made his way through the enclosure (yes, ha had finally found an acceptable term to use), in search of Light, eyes wide at all the strange shapes. He paused in what was obviously a kitchen watching Light massacre food. He quirked his eyebrows, standing there in silence and simply watching the chaos unfold, unable to keep his lips from quirking up in amusement, a feeling of warmth within him… unnoticed as his attention remained on Light. Light was absolutely beautiful, breathtaking, and every movement seemed to enthral Kayan like no other. He could be quite happy spending the rest of his life watching Kayan. The realisation caused a sharp intake of eye and Kayan’s eyes to widen.

He waited for the obvious beep of the oven, frowning when it didn't come. He looked, seeing that he had forgotten the timer and sighed as he opened the door. The meals were half melted and toasted on the bottom. Not something he could feed Kayan. He was horrible at this! He threw them away and got out various things, rolling up his sleeves to try and make a good meal. Light didn't notice Kayan standing in the doorway until he was successfully covered in flour and his brain was muddled with baking times and measurements.
"Hi," he grinned self conciously and set down his pan of......stew, yes that's what it was. Some sort of vegetable soup. He turned on the burner, set the pan over it and started cleaning up his mess. And it was definately a mess. It looked like a war had gone on-maybe a mini scrimage with kitchen items. He dusted his robes and came to stand in front of the boy. "How are you feeling? You had me really worried," his emerald eyes searched the small midnight haired human, inspecting to make sure the boy was alright. His empathy was walled off right now, leaving room for him to try and figure the boy out without the help of his inate sense of emotion.

Kayan quirked his eyebrow and shook his head when Light finally spotted him. He shrugged in response to Light's question before simply walking past him and taking the pan off the stove, throwing the contents down the sink. He then proceeded to quickly yet efficiently clean the kitchen and wash all the utensils Light had managed to mess. When he was satisfied he methodically went through all the cupboards in the kitchen forgetting it might be considered rude in his endeavour to cook some decent food. He randomly removed objects frowning when he did not recognise half of them. He sighed, he guessed he would have to taste them in order to determine how they might be prepared.
Having chosen a decent amount of ingredients Kayan proceeded to open a few, sticking his finger in to remove a small amount and sticking his tongue out to lick at them. Some caused him to smile while others caused him to frown. The one's he frowned at he repacked, leaving less around. he then proceeded to cut, mix, boil and fry, smiling at the chore, he really did enjoy cooking and now he would be able to prepare Light a decent meal and not the mess of e3ggs he had given the other earlier

Light opened his mouth to protest. Kayabn shouldn't have to work in his kitchen. The serene expression on the pale face stopped him. The boy looked only too happy to be moving and cleaning, cooking in a kitchen that was well stocked for once. He doubted Kayan had any idea what half the things were but the heavenly smells coming from the food he was preparing had Light drifting to the table. He sat and watched his mate move around the kitchen, tiny as it was. Half the time he felt in the way but Kayan merely threw him a glance and skirted past, quiet as ever even as his midnight eyes danced in barely concealed pleasure.
A smile graced rosy lips and Light found himself wishing Kayan would look at him that way. However, they had too much to work through, too much to try and overcome before Light could properly claim the boy. He sighed at the thought and tilted his head to watch, silver hair falling into his eyes. ((I'm back!!!!!))

Kayan dipped a spoon into the food, blowing on it to cool it before carefully tasting the stew he had made. He paused for a moment, trying to decide if he was satisfied or not. Finally he sighed, turning the heat off and searching for plates. The food tasted a bit strange to him but not bad so he guessed that it should be alright... all foreign ingredients considered. He dished a generous portion on one plate and a mere touch of food onto another. He didn't really feel good eating any of it at all considering it was not his food but he had a feeling Light would not let him get away without eating. Turning, midnight eyes met emerald for a moment before Kayan broke the contact, sliding the plate towards Light. "Probably not what you are used to but I hope it's alright." Kayan stated shortly, sliding into a chair across from Light carefully sampling his own plate of food, keeping himself from tearing at it in hunger.
He placed the spoon down when temptation became too much, watching Light carefully. "Where are you taking me?" He asked suddenly, surprising both himself and the other. He suddenly realised that they were moving and if they were moving then they were probably on their way somewhere. Kayan didn't want to think of the possibilities, didn't want to face the possibility that they were in space. I mean... he had just managed to convince himself that he was merely in an enclosure and not a spaceship. Or at least that was what he liked to tell himself.

Light thanked him softly and brought the plate closer, picking up a spoon. He brought some to his mouth and tasted it, smiling at how it teased his taste buds. The Sensaforian in him appreciated the fine cooking and he started in on his, frowning at the other. He could tell the boy was hungry. He had to be. It was in the thin-ness of his small body and the dark, gaunt circles under his eyes. Light angled his head, watching Kayan as he ate some more of his own food, intent on making the other eat if he didn't do it himself.
The boy put down his spoon and startled the empath from his thoughts. He let his emerald eyes study the human before he too put down his spoon. "I'm taking you to my home. I believe you deserve to see how life could be away from other people who want to hurt you." He smiled. "And i'm not finishing this delicious food until you eat your fill. It'll make the color come back to your cheeks..." He twirled the tip of his spoon in the food, considering Kayan across the table.

Kayan frowned at Light but picked up his spoon and continued to eat at a careful sedate pace thus preventing himself from falling onto what little he had allowed himself to take and gulping it down. It wouldn’t do to be uncivil anyway. "Are you going to pay me?" Kayan asked, not looking at Light and wincing inwardly at the question. However, his innate need for survival refused to allow the question to go unasked. If he was going to spend time away from what he usually did he needed to come up with an alternative plan to making money. He would still have bills to pay. Rent, water, electricity and maybe if there was money left over... food.
He waited for a response from Light wondering what the other thought of him and how the other would react to that question. Kayan swallowed, suddenly not at all hungry anymore and placed the spoon back down looking up to glare at Light, daring the other to make any derogatory comment. It wasn’t as if Light’s bad opinion of him would be unjustified. Kayan was a whore after all. It wasn’t as if he could stoop much lower than that.

"Pay you?" He tilted his head in consideration of the question before it hit him. Oh...Kayan was....He set his spoon down yet again, the food in his stomach turning. "You don't need to wonder for money when you're with me.....i'm going to take care of you Kayan, and if I have my way, you will not have to return to your apartment and service men....or....women to pay your bills." His mother and father owned a hotel that he worked at. It was much more a relaxation home than a full out hotel and they serviced customers there. Not how Kayan serviced his customers. Instead they calmed and soothed people with their empathy and otherwise gave them a good vacation. He'd gotten enough money there and would continue to work there to support the small human.
"From here on out you are to relax and heal. No one is going to touch you so eat up and take your fill. I'll do dishes." He smiled at the midnight haired boy and stood, no longer hungry. He put the rest of the food in a container to keep and ran soapy water in the sink, burrowing around to find a rag.
