"What? No!" his gaze swivelled to Kayan, eyes wide, face horrified, before he saw the look in is eyes and grinned, relaxing. "Trickster. It's not that of course, silly. I just know it got really busy, and Saeba is only my apprentice. He hasn't worked here much, but he's going to school for this."
"And you're not supposed to be working, or under stress," Saba breathed, standing bac and looking prodly down at his pastries before sending the whole tray out through the shoot to the dining room.
"Would you two like a drink of something before you head out?" He asked.
///
Jermani shrugged, a little comforted, though he hadn't been all that worried about not having friends. People fought with him, but for the most part, they left him alone and right now, he liked it like that. He only liked to be left alone by the kids in school though....
Kahil bowed his head and took a small morsel off the tray to nibble upon. Hed never had much of a 'clique' in school either, and when he'd gone to Uni, he'd been much busier studying than going out to meet people. But he had, had a few people that would talk to him....

Kayan hid his smile behind a hand trying to compose himself before nodding sagely in an obviously exaggerated manner. His smile returned at the mention of something to drink and he perked up. "Yes please." He stated eagerly. "Can I have some tea, Please? Chamomile?"
///
Raen nodded, reaching for some sweet fruit. "Then it's agreed. We're off to see the circus." His eyes sparkled as he said this. "I'll bet it's been ages since Kahil let himself relax."
(Sorry for the long delay... a lot of things have been happening recently, the least of which being a job change which I'm still in the middle of)

((It's okay! Work has been hectic, and as it's nearing the end, it's even rockier, so, don't worry about it!~))
"Some Dabba Leaf for me," Lemor asked. It was from the leaf of a small bush grown on the other side of Sensaforia. Deeply relaxing, and very good.
"Alright. Just hold on a tick while if find the tea leaves," Saeba grinned and disappeared into the back room.
"He's such a nice kid. He'll do great things one day, hm?" Lemor asked, smiling at his friend.
///
The recepionist scoffed. "Relax? Kahil doesn't know the meaning of the word," he chuckled. Kahil flushed pink.
"I..I do to! There's just....alot of things to do..."
"He never even relaxes at home," Jermani settled his cheek on a hand, watching his caretaker, a tiny grin molding his features. Kahil made a face.

Kayan blinked watching Saeba, a brief flash of jealousy coursing through him. He nodded absently biting it down aggressively. "He's lucky." He stated, unable to help himself before adding hastily. "He has a good teacher."
///
"Sounds about right." Raen stated smiling and winking at Jermani. "So we will just have to make sure to do something about that, right Jermani? We can't have him working himself ragged and then worrying us sick while we try and take care of his overstressed, overworked ass when he collapses from overwork, now can we?"

Lemor smiled a bit, shrugging. "I suppose...but after this, he'll be on his own. After the baby's are born....maybe you'd like to help me. Light says you're a wonderful cook. You'll have to cook something for us sometime," he turned his gaze to Kayan, grinning.
///
"No," Mani smirked, and Kahil pouted.
"Watch your language," he scolded Raen. And he wanted to offer punishment of him rescinding all offers of kisses, but he didn't even know if that would...upset Raen...cause....they just....he didn't know him that aful well yet. He hoped it would upset him.....

Kayan chewed his lip watching for a moment before standing up and heading towards the food, ignoring the blush on his skin. He picked up a few raw ingredients and smelled them setting them aside into different piles as he did so.
///
"My language?" Raen put on a look of mock horror. "But I only have your good interest at heart. How can you reprimand me for that?"

Lemor stood and moved over to watch Kayan. He seemed to have a rather strange technique, but only because he didn't know the foods. Either way....
"Found then," Saeba came back with tea leaves and Lemor held up his hand.
"Kayans going to cook us something." He smiled. "Go ahead and start the tea."
///
"Because we're in the presence of a child," he pretended to sniff, tilting his chin up and trying to look superior. Jermani rolled his eyes.
"As if I haven't heard a ton of words that are worse." He scoffed.

Kayan blushed, shifting suddenly and glancing back at Lemor. "I never said... I... I'm not going to... I... I can't really cook." He dropped his gaze and shifted a step away from the food filled with uncertainty.
///
Raen raised an eyebrow in surprise when he realised what Kahil was actually referring to before grinning cheekily. "If you want me to clean up my language you need to start taking better care of your derrière. " he grinned waiting to see what was going to happen next.

"Oh please...cook us something? I think you were doing well so far. We won't watch, but please atleast try?" He took Kayan's hand, and showed him back to the counter.
///
Kahil went a dusky shade of red and licked his lips. "My Derriere?" He asked, standing and leaning over the table some. "If you're so worried a about..a...a...that part of my...um, anatomy, then perhaps you're the one who's to be taking care of it," He managed a coy little grin, before he retreated. He even managed to move calmly, albeit quickly from the room before he even dared olt for his little office. There, he locked himself inside, cupping his hot face in his hands, emabarassed to no end.
"Well...that was so wrong," Mani stood, picking up a desert pastry. "I'm heading back up." He glanced at Raen, as if he were going to say something, before following Kahil's path out the door.
The receptionist grinned, and took a sip of tea. "I haven't seen Kahil smile like that since highschool. He certainly hasn't teased a iver like that in awhile."
((I really need to find that recepionists' name XD I know I gave him one))

Kayan bit his lip, trailing a finger over some of the foods wanting to experiment with them. At the same time he didn't want to humiliate himself in front of his new friends. Scratch that, his ONLY friends. He'd never had lessons. The closest he'd come had been all those books he had spent hours in the library staring at, trying to figure out what could possibly be in them. Pictures didn't give away much information and reading had always been difficult. Was all this really worth the humiliation.
Kayan suddenly decided that it was. He wanted to try something new, something more exotic than he'd been able to afford in his own kitchen and to hell with the shame should he fail. He picked various ingredient's the smell fo which appealed to him in a sweet manner and decided to try and make a pie. Pastry is easy enough to make...
///
Raen chocked at Kahil's suggestion going red himself. He glanced at Jermani as Kahil left and dropped his gaze to the table, still trying to swallow the food in his mouth, so he missed Jermani's exit. He pushed the plate carefully away, no longer really hungry, glancing up at the receptionists words. Shaking his head in disbelief he stood and started to clean up after the meal, unable to think of anything to say.

Lemor stood off to the side, close enough to watch, but far enough to be out of Kayans' way. Saeba put the tea on, before taking a seat at the table, watching the bearer move, inspecting fruits, putting them into seperate piles...
///
Rese shook his head, grinning, and stood. "Sit down before you hurt yourself, Mister. I'll clean up." He took the dishes from Raen's fingers. "Sit," he nodded, and stared cleaning up.
"If you're serious about Kahil, then don't be so shocked. Every once in awhile, he curve you something you won't totally expect. He doesn't like to seem boring, but I guarantee that embarassed him more than you. However, if you're just playing with him and Mani, I suggest you walk out of this office right now, because I won't let anyone else hurt them." Rese had long been one of Kahil's friends, and he wasn't about to let another life-giver walk all over him.

Kayan soon lost himself in the food before him, occasionally frowning and thinking when he encountered a scent he wasn't certain about. He cooked by grouping scents. To him, some things just worked together based in their scent and that was what he was counting on. All too soon he was chopping the fruit he had placed in one pile, a mixture if sweet and sour scents. He added what he deduced to be sugary and creamy substances and a few sweet spices that had a zing to them before carefully spreading the mixture into a baking dish someone had left at his side. Then he turned to making pastry keeping the ingredients simply to balance out the complex flavours the fruit mixture was sure to provided. Once done mixing dough, which was more runny than pie pastry, he dribbled it over the fruit to bind the various elements of the dish. He then reached for a few slices of fruit he'd left aside and decorated the top before looking around for an oven realising he hand't pre heated one and cursing himself silently.
///
Raen scowled at Rese's words. "Playing with them?" Anger coursed through his gaze. "Why would I be playing with them? That would be downright cruel." He shook his head, trying to reign in the anger but failing. "Who is he?" He demanded. "Who is the life giver that walked all over Kahil's feeling? Where is he? I'd like to have a word with him. Scratch that, I'd like to have several words with him, or maybe prescribe him glasses if he's too bloody blind to see a good thing when it's right in front of him." Damn, he was outraged. How could any one mess with the delicate balance that was Kahil and Jermani? How could anyone hurt them knowingly?

Lemor was entranced. He'd never seen someone cook by scents and it was intriguing, because the fruits Kayan picked were quite interesting, and even he hadn't thought of putting them together. However, the way Kayan blended them....his mouth was already watering. Saeba too, was enraptured, and after a second, wen he realized what Kayan was looking for, he smiled.
"My oven is still warmed up." He walked over to open it. "This button here turns it on..i'm pretty sure it's similar to an earth model...just...more options and such," he showed him what to do, and offered more help if he needed it.
///
Rese was relieved at his words, fueled by anger, and he finished cleaning up before patting Raen's cheek. "He's gone sugar, they're all gone, thank the heavens. I'm glad you're a good man. You can take care of them the way they need to be taken care of. It's about time. Now stop being angry, I was only asking." He turned and picked up plates and the garbage bag, turning back some.
"I;ll make sure I clear his day for that trip then." He smiled and then was gone, out to take the plates back to the kitchen, and get rid of the trash.
