Kayan blinked at the teenager before shrugging talking around the food in his mouth. "It doesn't matter." He was reaching for and stuffing more food into his mouth even before he managed to finish speaking. Though strange, this food was actually good. He glanced around the kitchen trying to spy and find out how some of it was made.
///
Raen smiled at Jermani. "I was wondering if you would like to come join us for lunch. You're usually at school about this time, right? So since you're off today I think it would be nice... Kahil needs a distraction from work." He stood calmly but actually he was tense worried that Jermani would refuse. If Jermani did, there went his supposed surprise...

Lemor grinned before his hunger took over and he too started to eat rather quickly. "Cut it any way you want Saeba, we're not picky," He sighed after biting into a sweet bun.
///
Jermani tilted his head as if disinterested. The man looked so hopeful. He was half tempted to say no just because Raen did look so hopeful. He felt like being mean, but then....
"Fine...." Kahil hadn't left something for dinner anyways....

Kayan glanced at Lemor and grinned, pausing his eating while fighting the urge to laugh at him. He looked so funny stuffing food into his mouth like that and mumbling around it. "You know..." He started, eyes actually sparkling in amusement. "The food's not going to run away." /// Raen smiled before nodding. "Thank you." He stated stepping to the side and waiting for the boy to join him. The moment Jermani did he turned and silently but amiably made his way back to the clinic, glancing at Jermani along the way. The bruises pained him to see, but at least the boy's spirit was not broken. (Lunch... LOL. Jermani asked Kahol to invite Raen over for dinner at their place after work )

((Haha, yesh XD))
Lemor swallowed before smiling. "You're one to talk," he teased, his own eyes sparkling, matching Kayan's. Behind them Saeba scooped the pineapple into a large bowl and brought it over.
"Enjoy," he plopped it onto the tray, smiling himself.
///
Kahil was quite nervous waiting for Raen to come back. He kept glancing at his receptionist, and fiddling with his coat. The moment the two came through the door, his face brightened and he glanced between them.
"W...wow..I mean.....y..you got him to come down.....I..I'm glad." He smiled at Jermani who looked away. His smile faltered and he looked to Raen.
"Thank you," He murmured. "I um....we're short on tables here...but I pushed those tables together.." he pointed to the end tables that usually held the magazines and such for waiting patients.

"Well, it's not." Kayan repeated philosophically before attacking the bowl of pineapple with zeal, pieces of the fruit all but flying into his mouth at a rapid speed. He barely paused to breathe let alone speak grinning at Lemor.
///
"That will be fine." Raen stated, nodding at the tables as he made his way over. He gently touched Jermani's shoulder waiting for the boy's attention before nodding at him in reassurance. "Thank you." He mouthed softly knowing Jermani saw but hoping he understood. He was grateful the boy was giving this a chance even though it obviously made him uncomfortable. He sat down and reached for plates, handing them out to Jermani. Kahil and the receptionist before gesturing to the food with a smile.

Lemor snickered, and almost lost he food he did have in his mouth. He covered it, still grinning behind his hand.
Saeba smiled and ruffled his cousins' hair.
"Congratulations, Lemor, and if you guys' talk is anything to go by, congrats to you too," he smiled at Kayan.
///
"Well..." Kahil smiled and nodded to the chairs, sitting beside Raen. Jermani sat on his other side, face bowed, because he just knew Kahil was going to nag about the bruises.
"This is rather nice," Risu smiled and took a plate when Jermani offered.
"I know.....thank you again," Kahil flushed and glanced at Raen. Jermani didn't miss the look, and he was slightl confused as he dished out food. Not confused about what Kahil felt for the man....confused because....he wasn't...sure...He didn't know how to feel.

Kayan glanced up at the other still wolfing down the pineapple. He nodded absently, not so much paying attention to Saeba as to the food before him, the pineapple being number one on his list of priorities, of course. The moment it was gone he licked the juice off his fingers looking guilty. "Sorry." He mumbled realising he'd eaten all the pineapple alone.
///
"No..." Raen grinned at Jermani. "It's not me you should thank but him." He nodded towards Jermani, still smiling before changing the topic lightly. "Hey, Jermani, do you like the circus?" He reached for a piece of vegetable, picking it up and slipping it into his mouth casually.

"It's alright. There's always more," Lemor waved away his apology. "Besides. I know you are craving for and loving it, so relax." He picked up another piece of fruit, before sitting back with a sigh.
"I feel so full..." He grinned, glancing down at the trays that only contained a few odds and ends now.
///
Kahil opened his mouth to thank of Jermani and protest still, to thank Raen until he accepted it, but the topic was already changed, and Jermani glanced at Raen.
He shrugged, dumping some food onto his plate as the others were doing.
"I heard about it," he answered slowly. "Never been." And Kahil felt guilty. He was depriving his son....nephew...son of everything.

Kayan nodded licking his fingers as he eyed the almost empty platters. He was also rather stuffed nodding in agreement with Lemor before pulling a face. "Here's hoping it doesn't come back up an time soon."
///
Raen smiled. "That's not too unusual. They're not in the area very often. Would you like to give it a try?" He asked Jermani, smiling and winking at Kahil in the process.
(Sorry for the delay... things have been rather hectic this side)

((That's alright. Work has been exhausting, so, I haven't been on as much as I would liketo be either.))
"Oh boy....I hope not." Lemor touched his stomach, as if reassuring himself he wasn't going to throw up at any moment. "Perhaps we should relax for a bit before we try walking about or something...." He suggested. Saeba moved away from the counter to take the near empty trays.
///
Jermani blinked at Raen and then at Kahil who was smiling once more, and whom nodded his head at one.
"Raen says they're coming to the area....I think you'd like it Mani..."
"Maybe." He shrugged and picked up something on his plate, digging in so he didn't half to talk. Inside, he was brimming with anxiety and boyish excitement. A circus! All his friends had gone to one before, he'd felt left out. But Kahil hadn't been able to get very many days off and...

Kayan chewed his lip thoughtfully. "I'm not sure." He frowned. "The nausea is so random its like a monster that keeps creeping up on me trying to catch me unawares."
///
"Well, we'll give it a try then." Raen nibbled at his food. "The worst that can happen is that you won't like it. Then you'll know for the future. Who knows, " he winked as he said the last bit. "You might even learn something."

"I know...but lets refrian from thinking about it," Lemor murmured, grinning sheepishly.
///
"I think he'll like it," Kahil picked up a bun and pulled it apart, taking little bites. Mani didn't answer, merely shrugged.
"Okay," wasall he said.

Kayan nodded looking around for more pineapple before shrugging and stretching. "Can we go to the baths?" He asked suddenly. "I'm all sticky." He wrinkled his nose.
///
Raen nodded thinking. "Would it be alright if we go in two days? For the evening show? That way it will be after work and Jermani will have enough time to do homework." He winked at Jermani. "If you want to bring anyone, you're welcome to. Just let me know." The last was directed at the boy.

Lemor smiled and nodded. "But of course. As soon as you're done in here, we'll head for the baths. Saeba...you need any help?" He looked ot the boy whom was applying icing to pastries.
"You're not supposed to be working Lemor. I'm fine."
///
"I don't have any friends." Jermani muttered, and Kahil, licked is lips.
"A...are you sure? I mean, you can bring anyone, Mani..." He was so glad that Raen was thoughful and wonderful...The man was so nice, and thinking abou all the little details...

Kayan grinned at the soft reprimand in Saeba's voice before putting on a mock pout. "What? Am I not a handful enough?" He protested, a sparkle in his eyes. "Is trying to teach me to read and write not enough work to keep you entertained Lemor? Fine, I'll ask someone else to help me as I'm obviously keeping you away from what you would like to be doing."
///
"Don't fret too much about it. At your age it doesn't mean all that much." Raen stated softly. "It takes a lot of growing up to see the value in those we considered to be misfits when we are younger and then a lot of people tend to hate us because they see all their flaws reflected back at them." He resisted the urge to ruffle Jermani's hair. "I know its probably poor consolation but tertiary study is a whole new ball game. It's bigger, more diverse and the time when most youngsters begin to realise the true consequences of actions. It's filled with other misfits and in my opinion that's where the true friends are to be found. I think its because its the time when people begin to realise that your 'clique' won't get you a job out there. That's all up to you as an individual. I have a grand total of two close friends and I met both at Uni. We are also some of the few students that didn't fail something along the way here."
