Ferren was relieved to see they had reached the city with no trouble. Now, that he had reached here, the question he had to ask was what he was to do now. Did Rykan want to go further with him? He considered taking him to his home. It only made sense to. There he could sty as long as he wanted. As long as he didn't mind staying with Jshiko. He would hope his mother wasn't against it. He did still live at home. He hadn't had a reason to go. His mother was far too much a worrier to make him go anywhere.
"I don't know if you had anything planned, but I'm going to bring you back to my home." He was actually heading straight there now, still keep a firm hold on Rykan's hand, as long as he didn't pull away.
"There you can stay as long as you need to. At least, as long as his mother had no problem with it. And he didn't see him or anyone else having a problem. That is, he had a big family, but they didn't all stay in one home.
It wasn't long before Ferren was coming up to his home. He briefly wondered how long he had been gone. Surely, his mother was worried. In fact, as if to prove his most recent thought, he found the front door opening before he could reach it. There he set his gaze upon an older male, older the Ferren at least, with an effeminate sort of appearance to him. Anyone who looked at this person, could clearly see they held a worried look upon their features.
"Mother," Ferren scarcely had the word out before his mother was approaching him, taking a hold of his free hand, also making him come to an abrupt stop.
"Where were you? What is that your wearing?" The older male, Ferrens mother, who he very much resembled to an extent, the major difference being his mother had midnight black tresses, which greatly contrasted to his own.
The questions asked made Ferren realize he had forgotten something. The clothes he had been wearing, and his shoes. How he didn't notice that was beyond him. Perhaps he was too focused on Rykan. "I'm alright, you don't need to worry mother." He realized he didn't really answer her questions though. Still, he couldn't quite say he had gone into the woods, the ones his mother told him not to go into. And he wasn't quite sure what to say towards what he was wearing. Well, he knew what to say, he was wearing Rykan's clothes, but then that would go back to him going to those woods.
"This is Rykan, by the way, can he stay with us for awhile...perhaps a week or so..." He trailed off, feeling the unnerving gaze of his mother on him. She suspected something, he could tell. It made him consider just being open about what happened so far. He just didn't want to cause any trouble.
There was a moment of silence on the part of Ferren's mother, for a few seconds before speaking. "We can talk later," That meant there was still more to discuss. "Why don't you bring your friend inside. It seemed he noted Rykan was hurt. It was impossible to miss when one looked over him. With that said Ferren's mother turned to go, leaving Ferren and Rykan to follow.
Before going forward however, Ferren thought to speak. "You of course, don't have to stay with me, so if you want to go now, that's fine." It was him leave now, or be minded by his mother as soon as he entered his home. He would surely make sure he was back to good health before leaving his home.

Rykan smiled, as he was introduced. "Thank you. It is a pleasure to meet you." he said politely before the Bearer turned back into the house. He heard Ferren's question and waved it off.
"Nonsense, if you want me here, then I will stay." He said honestly. "I thank you for all you have done for me, gods know you didn't have to." He said, before following Ferren into his home.
Rykan immediately felt at home in the warm home. It was cozy, and it smelt nice here, like flowers, almost.
"I can tell your home is lovely," he complimented, although he made no move to take off his bags or cloak.

Ferren felt he was being thanked for something he shouldn't be thanked for. Once again he would think it was something he wanted to do and not a must. He didn't bother to say anything on it though. There just didn't seem to be a reason to make them linger outside.
Being inside was a welcome relief. It seemed as if it had been so long. Perhaps because of what he had been through.
"Thank you." He referred to the compliment about his home. He wasn't the one involved with making it how it was set him. His mother, Frey, had taken care of all that. With his father being the one to have to move things about. He briefly wondered where he was now. Seeing he didn't come out yet, as he assumed he would, he must have been out.
Then he considered the one other person that lived in his home. Now where was-
"Ferren." There his name was said once again, this time by a younger male. His little brother.
"Calim" Ferren responded back, looking towards the slightly shorter male, by a few inches actually, who seemed rather quick to come up to him.
There was a moment of silence as Calim simply looked from his brother, then back to the stranger. "Friend of yours." He walked right up to Ferren for a moment, clearly taking a whiff of his scent, then going over to the stranger, then coming to stop in front of him. Unlike his brother he didn't come too close. He however, took a moment to visibly catch the scent of this new male.
"You're wearing his clothes." Calim spoke once more, a faint smirk set upon his features. "What kind of...adventure, did you go on big brother." There was an assumption in his tone.
Ferren frowned, looking over his brother who he had a feeling, would be a bit...difficult. He resembled his mother as well, at least with his hair. Unlike Ferren's, with his white hair, he had similar midnight black hair. "I wouldn't really call it an adventure." He spoke, trying to avoid saying more then he wanted to. It wasn't like anything had actually happened. Nothing along the terms of intimacy, and with the way Calim thought...he knew what assumptions he would have.
"I suppose that wouldn't be the right word to describe it." Calim took a few steps back, turning about, with his own, relatively long back hair, settling on his back. "If you wanted to go out with your boyfriend, you could have told mom in advance...he was worried you know." The way Calim said it, he wasn't the only one worried.
It really made Ferren want to apologize to his mom and his little brother. But then that thought was briefly halted by Calim's next words.
"So, that guys arm...were you that rough with each other?" The noticeably perverse idea came from Calim, as he looked back at Ferren and Rykan.
"Calim." The tone Ferren carried was clearly, outraged. And that seemed to only earn yet another smirk from his younger brother. "It was nothing like that, this is a...friend, his name is Rykan." He would hope that Calim would believe that. He would hope but then, his brother was an 'out of the box' kind of thinker.
"Sure, I believe you." Calim held a disbelieving tone, trying to be sarcastic. It had Ferren glaring a bit. To think his younger brother would think such.

Rykan simply laughed at the boy's accusation. Calim reminded him of a his own brother. A sharp pang of homesickness went through him, but he ignored it.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Calim. But, as to clear up any confusion, my arm is a result of an accident on the way here. I'm eyesight is horrible, you see, and a bit clumsy in deep space it seems. Your brother here helped me bandage and splint it correctly after I loaned him some clothing. He seemed to have misplaced his own somewhere after a shift. Of course it took hours for me to get him to come anywhere close to me, he's so skittish." Rykan lied smoothly, catching on to the fact that Ferren didn't exactly want his family knowing he had been in the woods.
"Oi, Rykan! What are you bloody--" came Siren's wail from the communicator.
"Siren." Rykan said calmly. "Silence yourself."
"What?! After all the trouble I went through for you, you Zerca brain! How can you just--"
"Siren!" Rykan said, adding a small growl. He wasn't actually angry, the computer was just about to reveal his lie is all, and Rykan didn't want to get Ferren in trouble. The computer huffed, clicking himself off with a sharp 'clicking' noise.
"Excuse him, he's a tad bit...uncouth." Rykan apologized to the boy. "I should introduce myself. I am Rykan Hakurion of Zerca, I am here on a mission for my mother." he smiled.

Ferren was relieved, it seemed Rykan understood, he didn't want to mention his trip to the woods. Although, hearing Siren's voice made him nervous. Would he tell. He hoped not. If his brother found out, he was very likely to tell on him. Not that he was a tattle-tale. There was a chance he would say nothing. It was just, his little brother was unpredictable like that. Not mean, just...prone to do what he felt he should do. Or what would annoy or bother Ferren. He was a younger brother, his was just one that liked to get at him sometimes. As he was sure the other had quite a bit of fun, assuming this and that happened.
"Is that so." Those were the first words uttered by Calim. While his gaze wandered towards his brother, and his unexpected guest. "Well, it's nice to meet you to." It seemed he gave up on his accusations for now. Turning to the man that came with his older brother. It was quite unexpected to hear the man was blind. What should he make of that. How did he get around? He wanted to ask, but didn't go ahead and do that just yet. It seemed a bit rude. Although, he had no qualms with accusing the other of being intimate with this stranger.
Ferren was relieved to see his brother said no more...assuming he had done anything with Rykan. He was about to speak but then he heard the familiar voice of his mother.
"So, your name is Rykan." Ferren's mother came out from another room. Having been either eavesdropping, or perhaps coming into the room at the right time. He looked a little concerned, still having some unanswered questions. "You should have a seat." Ferren's mother, motioned for his sons to head towards the living room area. He moved on himself, casting a sort of questioning look towards her eldest son.
Ferren was slightly hesitant to go along with his mother. If only due to the possible questions that would follow. He however, couldn't just stand there doing nothing. He only briefly spared a glance at his younger brother, who looked curious as he looked from where there mother was, to him, and then to Rykan. He couldn't expect him to say anything. Not at the moment at least. He wouldn't be surprised later, if he suddenly got talkative though. "Well, let's go on then." He spoke, just giving warning to Rykan, as he moved forward and lead them to the living room area.
Their living room had a couch and two other chairs about to sit in. All quite comfortable. As was the whole scene. Just something to note. At the moment, no one was focusing on the background.
The walk towards the living room area, was one she had expected to be followed with. "My name is Frey Lesaou." He had no problem introducing his entire name. "Seeing as how I'll have you staying here, I must insist you get comfortable." It seemed, without having to speak to Ferren, Frey had decided to let the other male stay.
Ferren had come to follow his mother, as he knew was expected. He lead Rykan towards the couch, where he stopped. "Here, you can have a seat." He wasn't going to make him sit though. He could see his mother seemed intent on standing. He was relieved to hear what he said though. That mean he would let Rykan stay here. He could have showed how excited he was, smiling and thanking his mother, but he only remained where he was, beside Rykan. He would just say all he wanted to with his mother later.
"Thank you mother," Ferren had no problem with saying that much. He had to show his appreciation.
Calim seemed to enter the room a little after Ferren. Making sure to close the door behind everyone. That is, the front door. He didn't move to sit as he entered the living room area, he simply seemed to wish to stand and observe. At least at first, then he moved towards one of the chairs and seated himself. Ferren had to wonder if he expected anything in particular to happen.

Rykan did not move to sit just yet, the sound of Frey's voice mapped out the area for him. Three main obstacles, and decent space between them. He smiled at Ferren's mother. "Thank you for your hospitality." he smiled, bowing a bit.
He drew himself up to his full height, going towards the wall behind Calim's seat. "Excuse me, Calim." he murmered as he stepped around the boy to place his sword and bag against the wall. His coat he took off one-armed and folded, placing it down between his bag and the wall. His flute case was still attached to his still shirtless back by a strap and he kneeled, rooting around in the bag for his tunic. Unhooking the flute case from around his neck, he pulled on his shirt, careful not to jar his arm.
Picking up the flute case, he roused Siren. "Siren. Contact Aikeida and tell him that I have arrived safely. Give him my instructions to tell my mother and father as well." he ordered quietly, standing and walking around Calim again, muttering another "Excuse me."
He went back to the couch, taking a seat shortly after Siren had clicked himself off. He had to admit he was nervous. He wondered what the older Jshiko had in store for him, if anything. But, seeing as he had no reason to distrust these people, he opened his flute case and began to clean his instrument. It was familiar, and it distracted from the pain in his arm.

Frey had his his gaze intently set on the young man his son brought home. Something that, in itself, was a definite unexpected thing. He watched as the man moved to put his things off to the side. Things he couldn't help but note. The fact the other had a sword told him he could fight. Noting the flute, he made the assumption he could play it. Unless he simply carried it around as a keepsake. That seemed like a possibility. Perhaps he could ask about it later. Right now, he didn't want to see the part of the rude host.
Ferren was left to stand as he saw Rykan had gone off to place his things off to the side. He watched as he did that, passing by Calim, he seemed to watch the other male with an obvious curious look set upon his features. Surely, wondering things that had yet to be answered. It was that, or he was thinking of his earlier assumption. Hopefully he wasn't thinking anything of the sort. He didn't need such to be brought up by their mother. As if he needed to. He was sure his mother would consider all the possibilities. Eventually seeing through his white lie. Or rather, all the unsaid things. Perhaps he should speak now.
"Your very welcome." It seemed Frey, spoke to the thanks that Rykan gave, noting how he had come back to seat himself. That was also when he noted his eldest son sat down as well. However did his son meet this fellow. He had overheard he was blind? From how he went about this, it was obviously bot recent. So, how did he injure his arm. That was something he would definitely look into, or rather ask here. He didn't see why he couldn't. Although he didn't want to seem a terrible host, he was a mother with quite a few questions about his son. Surely, he could mix both some questioning, and being a proper host.
"Is there anything I can get you?" Frey spoke once more, smiling a bit. "We have an extra room here you can reside in." They were lucky to have a spare room. He would have gone so far as to, ask one of his sons to spare their room, if there had been none to spare. He just, didn't like making anyone sleep on a couch. He knew it wasn't uncomfortable to sleep in, but a couch was still not a bed.
For a moment, Frey took note of Rykan's appearance. Looking at him to note anything he missed before. "I don't suppose you are from this planet?" Surely, that wasn't a rude question to ask. He was letting this stranger into his home. The least he could do was tell him about himself. "And, your coming across my son, I don't suppose you can tell me how that happened, along with his change of clothes." That much, he hadn't overheard, He had actually gone off to the kitchen after he saw Ferren, he had been in the middle of something. That, and he considered getting something for the guest he had. But then he wasn't so sure he would be staying then.
Ferren, had a feeling his mother would question these things. He once again, hoped that Calim didn't speak up on his beliefs. It was better he spoke up first, which is why he did just that. "Mother, I-" He began, but was cut off by his mother.
"Ferren, I asked the young man here for an explanation," Which basically meant, he didn't want to hear what Ferren had to say. Frey was quite intent on hearing the story from Rykan.
Ferren couldn't help but frown, his gaze falling onto his brother, who seemed to suddenly smirk a bit and look off to the side. It seemed he wasn't going to speak, he at least didn't think he was.
Calim, was so very tempted to say something. Even if it wasn't about his brother being intimate with the other male, there was still quite a bit to go off of. Like, how his brother must have put himself in danger. It wasn't like people shifted in the city. It was dangerous to do so here, though it was worse in the woods. A place he figured his brother must have gone. Why would he just to that conclusion though? Well, this wouldn't be the first time, he followed his brother there before. That, and it was the only option that made sense.
Although, there was an idea that made even more sense. That his brother snuck off for some secret relationship thing. That gave a good reason as to why he was there. As well as why this stranger was here. Obviously, his lover. Alt least, that made the story seem more interesting. He didn't believe his brother ever took interest in anyone though. Not as far as he knew at least. He would have to talk to him later.
Though, Calim would think, if this guy was a stranger, his brother had to have been lucky about him, in whatever shifted form he had been in. There was something about this guy, he seemed nice enough, but he felt he had the potential to be quite dangerous. Something a Jshiko should notice ahead of time. Perhaps it was instincts, or just the look of the other male. If he wasn't a Jshiko, and he could see he wasn't, then he was a possible threat.

"No, I am quite alright. Thank you for the room," he smiled, training his eyes on Frey's body. "I am indeed not from this planet. I am from Zerca, although I am half Majikadai and half Zercan." Rykan answered, shining the flute before putting it away. "My father's ship crashed here around twenty years ago, where he met my mother." he explained, he always was questioned on how a Majikadai ended up with a Zercan.
"I arrived on Jeskara a while ago," Rykan wasn't too sure about lying to Ferren's mother, but he would if it would keep Ferren out of trouble. "I had had an accident while in space, which had broken my arm. I was on a Mentsquarian cargo ship, and had managed to take a pretty nasty fall over a box that was placed in the loading dock. I'm quite clumsy in space it seems..." he said, smiling a bit. "We were already in the vicinity of Jeskara, so the Mentsquarians simply herded me off of the ship, paying no mind to my arm. I headed towards the forests, when I felt a presence. It took a few hours to get your son to even talk to me, but he had misplaced his clothing after a shift, and it was growing cold. I built a fire and loaned him some of my clothing, and he helped splint my arm." Rykan said, weaving in the truth with the lies. He was an excellent liar, having had to have to tell his own mother many in the past regarding the various scrapes and injuries he and his brother would come home with.
He could feel both mother and son's wariness of him, but he assumed it was to be expected. He was a stranger, an armed stranger at that, and he was also an off-worlder. He understood their wariness of him.

Frey didn't miss a word said by the young man his son had brought home. This Rykan, who he would hope he did not regret welcoming in his home. He had not come to the city to have his life, or the lives of those he loved, -his family- put in danger.
"My, you say you are from Zerca." A planet he had never been to. Then again, he had never left his home world before. He didn't find himself having a reason to think differently about this Rykan yet. He had no bad things against him. He didn't believe Zercan's were bad people. But they differed in personality, just like everyone else did. She had no idea what to expect. Hearing he was part Majikadi had him thinking though. Of what he knew of that race. They did reside on the planet. He believe he came across some a few times int the past. He didn't always use to live in the city. "I imagine that would lead to quite an interesting story to tell." He referred to how Rykan's parents met.
Frey noted every part of the explanation given. He had no reason to question it. He just wondered what his son was doing shifting in the first place. It wasn't exactly something done in the city. Definitely something to ask about later.
"Would you like to rest then, I can have Calim show you to the spare room." Note, he said Calim and not Ferren. As soon as he was alone with his son, he planned to speak to him in private. To question him now. Really, bringing a stranger home. Though, one who did look like he was in need. But still, this could have been very dangerous. He didn't want ot see his children get hurt.
Calim raised a brow at his name being mentioned. Why couldn't Ferren, do- Oh, well he figured that out. Then it wasn't like that would be bad. Perhaps he could question, or ask a few questions, of the Zercan, or half Zercan. He wondered what that place was like. He wondered what it was like to be off the planet. He did so want to know. He wanted to travel one day. Or at least see a bit of what was on other planets. He didn't know if he should say anything though. He felt he should wait a bit.
Ferren couldn't deny it, he was nervous. He had been worried about what Rykan would say, bit it seemed he didn't speak of what he was avoiding. That just left him with his mother then. He noted how his mother spoke. He was going to talk with him. If Rykan was shown to his room. By his younger brother, who had yet to speak since coming here. And to think, this was just with his mother. What would he say to his father when he came in. The older Jshiko wouldn't be very happy either. His parents had that much in common. But then, he would think all parents had that in common. He knew what was right and wrong.
Although, it probably wasn't right to follow the half Zercan here in the first place. Not smart at all. So, he made some mistakes, but he couldn't say he came to regret this. He really couldn't. He didn't know why. For all he knew, he had been the cause of Rykan's misfortune. All the same, he was glad he met him. Being around him was...nice. Something like that. He needed to think more into it. He wasn't sure if he could say he liked him yet.

Rykan could see that his newfound...friend needed to speak with his mother. He stood, bowing again after promising to tell Frey the story of his parent's meeting. He stood, fastening his case about his neck again, going to his bag, coat and sword and gathering them up. Siren blinked with a message as Calim stood to escort Rykan to the spare room.
Rykan realized it was the first time that Ferren and himself would be apart since they met, and he felt a small tug at his heart. He didn't like being away from the boy, it depressed him. But he followed the younger brother dutifully.

Calim wasn't sure if he would be taking Rykan anywhere, so he wasn't exactly surprised to find out he was. He found himself standing up, moving to lead the older male to the mentioned spare room. While he was walking, he thought to take this chance to speak to him. Hopefully he would answer a few questions. "You know, you really are a big surprise, I wouldn't expect my brother to bring anyone back here." he was amazed his brother approached this guy. He didn't think he could.
Briefly Calim let his gaze wander back, looking at Rykan, before looking ahead to see where he was going. "Would it be possible, for me to ask, what Zerca is like?" He really wanted to know, he thought to save the question for later, but he just felt he had to ask sooner then later. Though now he found himself coming to a stop after coming up a stair case and making a turn, he lead Rykan to one of the doors in the hall.
"Here is where you'll be staying." Calim, spoke now moving to open the door he stood in front of. He made no move to enter himself. He did consider the other may want some privacy. He didn't care to bother this guy and get him upset.
Ferren found himself alone with his mother. His gaze, briefly lingered on where Rykan had been. It felt a bit strange, not to be close to him. But that was silly. Perhaps it was due to him protecting him before. He had nothing to worry about now though, he was home. "You wanted to talk to me." No point in beating around the bush.
Frey watched his son, a faint frown set upon his lips. He seemed to look disappointed. It was unsure to Ferren whether he suspected anything or not.
"You need to be more careful." Those were the first words Frey uttered. He wasn't sure he would bother to question him just yet. Better now then later. He didn't want to wait for his husband to get home to discuss this. "I would appreciate if you told me the truth now, Ferren." He didn't say if he thought what was mentioned was a lie. Simply that he had no wish to be lied to. "Why would you shift at all, don't you know how dangerous it is to do so." Frey held a stern look upon his features, as he stared at his son from where he stood, actually moving up beside him.
Ferren found him frowning, with his gaze cast down for a moment. He understood what his mother was saying. It was wrong to do so. Especially with how many times he had been told about how easily his relatives had been taken up. Some just entirely going missing. "I'm sorry mother, I just wanted to-to have a moment to myself." Was that why? He wasn't sure, he couldn't quite answer himself.
There was a brief moment of silence before Fray spoke again. "Just be more careful, I don't want you going anywhere without telling me first." He considered making Ferren stay home for a certain period of time, but then he considered his friend. Maybe that was why he should have him stay. He didn't know what to expect from the young man. He did seem honest enough, but until he got to know him better, he wasn't thinking to trust him with Ferren.

Rykan smiled at the boy, as he mentioned his home. He should've told his family he was leaving. "Zerca is...indescribable. It's my home, the cities are awash with people and culture and the forests are quiet havens. It's warm there, and the oceans and lakes are just short of warm. Mostly everyone is friendly with one another, execpt for the liberals, but the Shodan is working on bridging those gaps. I can't really tell you how it looks, but in my mind, it's quite beautiful."
Siren beeped as he placed his few belongings down in the room.
"Rykan, I think you should hear this," Siren said. Rykan blinked down at the communicator. "Excuse me," he said to Calim, "but I should take this. What is it?" he asked, brow knitting together as Siren played the message. He muted it until the boy drew his door closed and replayed the message.
"Rykan Sei'ta Hakurion, you fucking idiot! Why the hell did you leave on your own?! You know all you had to do was contact me! I'm on my way to Jeskara, your parents are worried sick!" came his friend Darren's voice coming through the speakers. "When I catch you, I'm skinning you, dumb brat."
Rykan sighed, running a hand through his hair. He cast his eyes heaven-ward wondering why his luck was so low. "Siren. Send a message through Oren telling Darren he is not needed here, and for him to stay on Sensaforia." he said, shaking his head.
"Righty-oh," Siren nodded.

Frey let his gaze simply linger on his eldest son. What more was there to say. He considered it, and then thought to let the subject drop. Just for the time being. "Maybe you should get changed." He thought to suggest this, thinking it better that he did so. He didn't need Ferren's father jumping to any conclusions. He always did seem to have quite the imagination.
Ferren didn't need to be told twice. He moved to stand up now, giving a nod towards what his mother said. "I'll be right back then." He said this, walking off towards his room. Thinking to remove the clothes he had on, return them to Rykan, and put himself in his own set of clothes. Not in that order though. He would dress himself before seeing Rykan again. Walking about without clothes on was not something he found appealing.
Calim was moving to head back downstairs now. His mind on what he heard Rykan say. Oh, he did so want to travel one day. Maybe he would get to see Zerca. It sounded a lot better then where he lived now. He just didn't imagine his mother and father would be up for it. He was thinking on it when he saw Ferren. "Hey," he called out to his older brother.
Ferren supposed he should have expected to see his younger brother. He came to a stop briefly and smiled. "How was Rykan?" The first thing he found himself saying.
"He's fine, it hasn't been that long since you saw the guy," Calim spoke, finding the question ridiculous. He didn't think things would change that quickly.
"I see," Ferren, figured it was silly of him to ask. "Well, you go off and do whatever, I have to get changed." He didn't give his brother a chance to speak as he dismissed him and himself, going off to his bedroom. Not that far away from where they were. He went in, closing the door behind him and leaving a slightly puzzled, if not just curious, younger brother in the hall. He just needed to get a quick change of clothes and then he would head back downstairs.

"New message, Ry," Siren said, clicking on.
"Rykan, we're on the way." Xero's voice said. "Did you really think you'd go without me? Jonas is coming too, he's got a few people searching for the Majikadai on Jeskara. We'll be there soon, alright? Answer your communicator when we call, or I'll beat you like an old rug!" came his brother's threatening tone.
Rykan shook his head. This was not good, he didn't want all of these people out for him. Especially not Darren, who wasn't even family. Xero shouldn't be involved either, seeing as he was pregnant. Jeskara was no place for him--the pain in his arm reminded hiim of that.
"Siren, turn off your tracker." Rykan said the the A.I. "I don't want to put them in danger. Reject all messages from Aikeida and Oren, and do not--I repeat, do NOT, tell them where I am. Forward the message I sent to Darren to Xero as well. I will do this by myself," Rykan said with determination. He did not want to put those he loved in danger.

Ferren was quick to remove himself from the clothes he currently wore, to clothes that he owned. Soon enough he had the clothes he had been given off with his own on. Now he considered washing the clothes he had worn before going to see Rykan. It just seemed to make more sense to do so. Something he thought as he took the briefly borrowed clothes, as he did intend to give them back, out of his room and out into the hall.
It was there Ferren briefly came to a pause. He once again wondered how Rykan was doing. Perhaps he could just check on him. With that thought in mind, he moved towards the room he knew to be the spare one. He saw it was closed. Should he knock? Not that he was going to enter either way. He wouldn't come to intrude. He just didn't want to interrupt anything. If there was anything to interrupt. For all he knew Rykan could be asleep. Perhaps he should just go.
Ferren had walked up to the door to the room Rykan was in, but he only found himself pausing, gripping the given clothes he had in hand. A brief frown settled upon his lips and he found himself biting his bottom lip. It was silly. He had no reason to be nervous or hesitate. He just wanted to check on the Zercan, or half Zercan, as was the case here. There was still a few seconds more he came to hesitate, before he managed to raise a hand to knock a few times on the door.
Meanwhile, Calim had made his way downstairs, coming to see how his mother was doing. He found he had moved from the living room area to the kitchen. It seemed his mother was cooking. Well, he was before, he supposed he was just watching over the food. It was that or his mother was thinking. Something he could see happening, when he noted how his mother seemed to be staring at nothing in particular.
"Hey mom," Calim spoke up, approaching his mother and stopping beside him. That certainly caught his attention.
A faint smile was cast Calim's way by Frey. "Calim, how is our guest doing?" It made sense to ask, the young man was hurt after all. Being a mother, how could he not think to worry over that a bit. Whether he was related to him or not. He was just a stranger, that didn't mean he would cast him out.
"He's doing fine, or at least that's what I noticed." Calim wondered if he should have ask. If anything, he would ask later. He was wondering if he could ask a few more questions. He realized there was one or two he couldn't ask. And hoped his question hadn't offended. The other male was blind, he couldn't come to ask what anything looked like. He would just have to see things for himself whenever he could.
