Rykan drew Ferren to sit with him as his uncle made his way from the back of his hut. He looked drained and tired, but his spirits were light.
"I have finished it." Kan said, with a small smile. He held out a gourd, round and black towards Rykan.
Rykan took the potion hestantly, looking at his uncle in wonder.
"This is enough for two hundred men." Rykan said, looking at the small container.
"Yes," Kan nodded. "Make Jikan drink only three drops. Only three. Store the rest away for future generations," he said. "I fear you may not be able to find me nearly as easily as before, should you need the remedy again."
Rykan looked at his uncle with extreme gratitude. "I..." he was speechless.

Ferren was overjoyed, to see that Kan had actually finished the thing that would save Rykan's bearer. Even though he wasn't a direct relative, all the same, he felt the need to thank the older male. That, and he saw that Rykan appeared at a loss for words. He could see how grateful he was though.
"Thank you." It was all he could think to say himself. Or else, he would have been speechless himself. If only due to the fact, he wasn't sure what he could say at a time like this. Besides what he had said already. This meant that Rykan could leave, and return to his bearer as soon as possible.

Kan nodded. "Go, collect your brothers and leave this place. It is no longer safe here, and we are readying to migrate." he said before turning back to his possesions.
Rykan stood, overwhelmed. "Thank you, uncle. I won't soon forget it." he said.
Kan simply nodded, and Rykan took his mate by the hand, leading him from the hut.

Ferren went right along with Rykan, as he felt him take his hand. Exiting it. He assumed he was going to get everyone else now. Then they would leave.
He briefly wondered, if he would still be able stay a bit longer with his family. He hoped he could, but if it was easier for him to just leave, then he would.

Jonas had woken up awhile ago, making sure everything was in order, assuming that they'd probably be leaving some time soon.
Eppi was still asleep, buried beneath the covers.

Rykan and Ferren made their way back to their hut, intent on telling everyone the good news, Rykan was practically bouncing in excitement.
~~~~~
Darren however, was anything but happy. His spirit was ladden with anxiety--what if Eppi didn't want to be with him anymore? He didn't think he could take it.
He watched over his mate for a littel while, before getting up, gathering their things together. He knew the Majikadai were readying for a migration, and they would not be able to follow.
~~~~~ Xero woke up, rubbing his eyes and yawning as he looked over to his mate.
"Jonas? What's going on?" he asked tiredly.
~~~~~~~
Shion looked about at the tall trees, his slight form resting on a huge root. The Majikadais had occupied these forests since these's two and three hundred foot magesties were saplings. Some part of him felt it was a sort of betrayal to simply leave it all behind, while another part of him told him that it was time to let go of the dark, sorrowful world. He didn't think he could take another year of it.
The pain of losing his mate was just as sharp as it had been twenty years ago, and he knew--just knew there wasn't another out there for him. He had decided to join Pi'lis today. His brother was dying, his mother was dead, his father hated him--he had single handedly managed to lose everything that was important to him, and so--he would simply remove himself from their suffering.
Shion looked at the heavy medallion in his hands, before walking to Ckrat'ka's hut, the letter folded carefully around it. The least he could do was this, before he left this world forever.
"Morning sleepy head." Jonas said, giving his mate a kiss. "It's time to leave I'm thinking. We should probably go find your brother."
---
Still, Eppi remained asleep, his expression mirroring Darren's inner turmoil. He was worried about the exact same thing.
Ferren was looking forward to seeing the others hear the news. That they had what they needed. And that they could leave now.
Rykan walked arm and arm with Ferren, before he spotted Shion walking out of Shion's hut, a forlorn look on his face.
"Shion." Rykan called out.
The older male looked up, slightly surprised. "What do you want, kit?"
"I have a proposition for you..." he began. "We're about to leave Jeskara to return to Zerca, and my mom would love to see you. What do you say?" he asked. Shion rose an eyebrow, considering.
Ferren wasn't expecting to see the other relative of Rykan's. He said nothing as he overheard what was said. From what he noted, it seemed Rykan was inviting him along. It did sound like a wonderful idea in his personal opinion. He didn't think he should say anything on the matter though.
Shion looked to be considering it. "Why?" he said finally.
Rykan shook his head. "I know my mother will be happy to see you, you may even help him recover faster. And you'll get to meet the rest of your family." he called.
Shion looked at RYkan, the boy seemed earnest, and honestly, he reminded him of Pi'lis and Jikan--if only a little.
Shion sighed. "Fine." he said after some time. Rykan grinned. "Come and get packed uncle! It's time to depart!"
Ferren was happy to see that Rykan's uncle was actually going to come along. He was looking forward to seeing how things turned out now. He had his own family to consider first though, before they left. He would take care of it when the time came though. Which looked to be soon, seeing they did have everything.
Shion leapt up to his nephew's perch. "I suggest you get a move on before I change my mind." he frowned.
Rykan nodded and set about rounding everyone up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once they had assembled everyone together, the group gathered to say goodbye to the majikadai.

Ferren wasn't sure how long it took for everyone to get together, but he was of course with them when they were. Ready to say goodbye when everyone else did.
