Worso found himself quite into the idea of learning to play a game of these...cards. They looked simple enough. How one derived fun out of something so thin and looked like, paper was it, could be any sort of entertainment. He supposed he would find out soon enough though as he watched and listened to all that Hadyn had to say. He wasn't quite sure what to say as he thought over all he heard. It didn't sound very interesting to him at all. The way he heard the game was played sounded simple. But how was this a game? Well, he could see it as a game but if it lacked fun then it couldn't be called such. But then again it was just him. If Hadyn found this fun then he really ought to give it a chance to see what it was like. He was thinking over the instructions as he found himself with the cards he was dealt. Hearing it was his turn to go. He picked up a card and found it was a four. "I've got this." He showed the card and placed it down. From what he heard it seemed Hadyn won this. He hadn't missed the question he was asked but wasn't quite sure what to say there. "Where I'm from such a game wouldn't really be possible or be of any...amusing." He wasn't quite sure how to put it. But from where he was he saw card being useless underwater and others would find it less then worth their time. At least he didn't think so but he supposed he could be wrong. "Actually we don't even have these things you call cards." He didn't think he needed to lie there. The human could assume what he wanted. He just lacked details.

It was true that this particular game was neither very exciting nor very difficult, but it could be fun if you played with a sense of humor. He took his win, and then laid down a four, smiling at him. "It wouldn't be amusing? Well, you just have to get competetive about it!" He laughed softly and then blinked, clearly surprised. "You don't have cards at all??" He couldn't even think of a place where they wouldn't have cards. "Where are you from, then?"

Worso couldn't really imagine finding any amusement in this game. Not so far at least. He would hope he found some amusement or fun in it. What was this about being competitive. Well, he wasn't usually the type. Or rather he didn't consider himself that type period. He either won or lost. He didn't care which. He figured he'd lose anyways. Or perhaps he would get lucky. Either way he could hardly bring himself to care. Just like with everything else. He took what came his way and didn't make much of it. Like this situation he was in with being stuck on this planet. He just made the best of things and left it at that. What more could one possibly think to ask for. Well, he wouldn't ask for more. Hearing the question that suddenly came up on the cards he wondered if he hadn't heard him clearly. But he said what he had so he figured but either way he thought to speak again. "Yes, no cards." He thought to confirm it. The next question was one he had to think over carefully. He couldn't just say anything. "A place far away from here." He hoped that answer would suffice. This way he didn't have to lie. "Where are you from?" In case it wasn't enough he thought to take the focus off of him.

Hadyn was surprised, to say the least. No cards, honestly...he had to be from very far away! But the redhead didn't push it. If Worso didn't want to talk about it, and it didn't seem like he did, then it wasn't Hadyn's place to push. It was entirely possible that he had left because of problems at home, and he might not want to talk about the place, because it might hurt him. Hadyn didn't want to cause him emotional pain. Or physical pain, either, of course, so he dropped the issue and answered, "Oh. I'm from London, in Britain." There was a long beep and he jumped, dropping his cards. "There's the oven!" He quickly stood up and hurried to turn off the oven and timer, and got the fish from the oven. He quickly served two plates and carried them to the table, followed rapidly by silverware, napkins and glasses. "What would you like to drink?" He got ice water for himself.

Worso was honestly quite relieved that the human didn't ask for any more details. He wouldn't think to say that out loud though. He simply mentally thanked the human in his thoughts before focusing on what was going going on. Not that much was going on though. He couldn't say he was very into the cards. He was now rather focused on hearing what Hadyn had to say to answer his question. So he was from a place called London in Britain. Well, he had no idea where that was on this planet. He only knew so much about this planet. One he wasn't all that pleased to be on. Well, not in the particular area he was in. The again the place wasn't so bad. At least with the water it had. He was rather grateful for that bit. He supposed if he had to stick to a small and not so much populated place he would go here. Still the ocean, he knew those to be the largest bodies of water on this planet, seemed like a far better place to go. He was alright where he was though. Making the best of the situation he was in. That was what he wanted to do. It was what he was sure he was doing now. He at least hoped so. It wasn't like he was complaining about anything after all.
The noise that seemed a bit at random surprised Worso. He was about to ask what had made the noise but then he heard the answer before he even had the chance to ask. So it was the oven. The thing that Hadyn had put the food in. He watched from where he was seated as he noted what Hadyn did. He wondered if he would be able to cook like that if he had to. He wasn't really thinking too much into it. If he did cook then he would figure things out. For now he just watched as Hadyn served the food. Hearing the question he asked, referring to drinks, was the only time he thought to speak. "Water would be fine." He really was alright with that and didn't know what else he could ask for. "Thank you." He wanted to thank the human for everything he had done so far.

The table was set and the food served in a matter of minutes, and the last thing he did was bring their full glasses of ice water to the table. He set Worso's glass in front of his plate and then sat down at his own setting. The food smelled fantastic, and his stomach growled demandingly, clenching almost painfully in protest to being so empty. He flushed, embarassed by how loud the growl had been, and lifted his eyes to smile sheepishly at Worso. "Um. Anyways, there's dinner," he said unneccesarily, knowing he was rambling for no reason. He was, and always had been, bad at small talk. To prevent any more unnecessary rambling, he took a quick bite of the asparagus and chewed, the fresh green crunching loudly. Mmm. He loved asparagus.
His attention quickly was focused solely on his meal. The swimming had tired him out a great deal, especially followed by the manual labor of taking care of his farms, and he was famished. He polished off his food in record time and let out a content sigh, now sleepy. "Did you like it?"

Worso had briefly wondered if he should have offered to help. He however saw it seemed to be unnecessary and sooner then later Hadyn had finished set everything up. He found himself still watching just as intently as he had from the start. He was a bit surprised to hear the loud growl he could only assume game from the human he was with. He couldn't help but give a faint smile at how he found it slightly amusing that the human had been so hungry. Had he not bothered to eat earlier. Then he wondered if it was his fault. Perhaps he would have eaten sooner if he hadn't gone out with him. Well, there was no harm done so he couldn't think to make himself feel bad. He would just go by himself the next time around. That was at least what he told himself. He would have to deal with the horse again but he could manage that much by himself. He was rather looking forward to heading back to that lake. But that was something he would look more into later. For now he only thought to focus on the moment.
Hearing what Hadyn said, stating the obvious, nearly made him chuckle. However he remained silent and simply gave a slight nod of his head. He didn't waste any time as he started eating. He found he was especially fond of the fish. It wasn't bad at all even if it was different from what he was use to. It didn't take too long until he finished himself while he heard what Hadyn asked. "Yes I did." He spoke, then went and took a drink of the water brought for him. Or more like drank it all down without the pause for breath. Only after that did he put the glass down and smiled a bit once more. "Is there anything I can do to help clean up?" He was curious to know so he thought to ask. If there wasn't he just in general wondered what he could do now.

He thought he would probably have to sleep early tonight. He needed to put some aloe on his burn, too, he thought. The news that Worso had enjoyed the food brought a smile to his face, and he replied happily, "I'm glad you enjoyed it!" When Worso drank an entire glass of water without taking a break to drink, Hadyn stared, wide-eyed. How did he do that? He had to be worried about getting choked on the water! He realized he was gawking when Worso finished swallowing and asked him a question and he quickly closed his mouth and averted his eyes politely. "Oh, um. You could help me with the dishes, if you wanted." He smiled and stood, gathering his dishes; he took them to the kitchen and went about putting them into the dish-washer.

Worso really hadn't considered his most recent action with drinking all the water he had just like that. Perhaps he would have thought of something to say if he noted that it was noted. Well, as long as no questions were asked he didn't need to think about inquiring about it. Besides he wasn't thinking about it as he listened to what Hadyn had to say. From how he was glad he enjoyed the food to how he said he could help with the dishes. Well, if he could do that then he would. He was already moving to stand up taking the dishes he could in hand. He wasn't quite sure what to do with them so he just thought to stick with following what Hadyn did. It seemed as simple as that to him at least. Hopefully that wasn't a mistake. "Is that all?" He wondered if there was anything more he could help with. If not he was fine with that. He just felt he needed to do something to assist the other male.

Worso's help was greatly appreciated, and Hadyn smiled tiredly, covering a yawn with his hand. "Mmm. Thank you for the help, Worso. The kitchen is clean--I'm going to try and get some aloe on my sunburn and then head to bed." He walked towards the stairs, intending to go ahead and do that--he was more than ready for sleep!

Worso was glad to have been able to do something. He nodded a bit at Hadyn's thanks and listened to hear if there was anything else. Apparently though there was nothing else and the human planned to go to bed. Was it so late? He briefly wondered about that but supposed if the human was going perhaps he should as well. Hearing the mention of aloe and sunburns he looked thoughtful. It didn't take long for him to assume what this sunburn was. "Is there anything I can do to help with that?" He figured it was why the human looked odd and he wondered if perhaps he could offer to help with it. It was in a way his fault. He just didn't imagine Hadyn would have gotten that if not for his wanting to swim. It seemed a must for him.

Hadyn paused, surprised by the offer--and yes, embarassed. "Ah...you don't have to...I mean..." He meant that even though technically he wouldn't be able to get aloe all over his burn, he thought it would be weird to let a virtual stranger rub their hands all over his body smearing a cool, slick substance all over his skin like--
Hadyn decided he should really stop thinking along those lines. "...Um...thanks, though..." He retreated hastily to his room, where he stripped to his boxers and began applying the aloe, sitting on his bed to do so. Not long after, he laid down and went to sleep.
The next morning he rose at his normal time and rose with a wide yawn. He felt much better this morning; even the sunburn felt somewhat better, though, in the manner of all sunburns, looked worse. He dressed in jeans and a nice white linen shirt that wouldn't chafe, and went downstairs to make a breakfast of eggs and toast and suchlike; very soon the house was filled with the pleasant aroma of the food.

Worso was slightly disappointed that Hadyn wouldn't allow him to help out with what he was going to do. He really saw no problem with it. Modesty or the need to cover oneself wasn't an issue amongst his kind. Being what looked like part human with the other half being part fish it wasn't like he kept his clothes when he changed. It was just never an issue with the fact it was only a bother to constantly have to look after clothes. So he didn't see that that was even a possibility as to why the human seemed to think anything other then possibly wanting to take care of himself. He supposed if that was what he wanted then he had no say in it. He didn't think to say anything as he just accepted what was said though he still would have like to assist in some way.
It really wasn't a surprise to see that Hadyn left sooner then later after giving a thank. He couldn't help but be a bit confused on the matter as to why he spoke the way he had. He didn't think on it too long though. He soon reconciled himself to going to bed as well which mean him going back ti the room he was given to rest in. It seemed like a relatively short walk to his destination before he found himself walking in the room he was staying in and closing the door behind him. Being already in his boxers he didn't need to change out or put anything on. Unless he thought to sleep naked which was a tempting idea but he just decided to sleep as he was and simply laid across the bed. He wasn't sure when but he fell asleep while lost in thought on the day he had just gone through.
The morning came and Worso laid about in bed a bit longer instead of moving to get up. He slept through the night with relative ease in the unknown environment. Well, one he certainly wasn't use to within a day. He was grateful though he had a place to stay and that was what went through his mind as he woke up. Mauve orbs opening to note his strange surroundings, not recognizing it, only to take a minute or so for it all to register in his mind and then for the thought that first came to mind on this new place he stayed in. He couldn't help a faint sigh that came from slightly parted lips as he sat up suddenly thinking over what he was to do now. He was wondering it when he suddenly caught the scent of food coming from what he could only imagine was the kitchen. He wasn't sure though. He wasn't familiar with whatever this was that was being made. He supposed he ought to check it out though. With that thought he somewhat reluctantly got out of bed and headed to the bedroom door and walked out.
It was straight to the kitchen for him. It was what Worso had planned to do from the start as he exited his given room. He recalled the way to the kitchen quite clearly and it didn't take long for him to come across it where he found Hadyn. Who he saw was in completely different attire then the other day. This made him realize he was still in nothing but his boxers. The thought caused him to wonder if he should change. It was just he cared so little for his attire he didn't even consider it when he got up. Of course he considered the bathroom. When he bathed he would change and put on some clothes if he had to. He figured he did have to. The last thing he wanted was the direct light of the sun hitting him on his teal like skin. He was far more use to being underwater where he had to worry little about the light of the sun. He wouldn't be surprised if it damaged his own skin a bit. Definitely not something to look forward to as it wouldn't just dehydrate him.

It was a nice morning; the sun was bright and warm already as it flooded the kitchen through the windows; Hadyn could already tell that it was going to be a hot day. It was too bad, because he had work to do, but there was nothing for it, really. He would simply have to deal with it. He had been dealing with it, after all, for a number of years; it was nothing new, though the sunburn would make today extra-unpleasant. Nothing for it, though. He didn't notice Worso's entrance and, after he had everything set up and ready to go he turned, intending to go and wake Worso and startled to find him already sitting at the table, one hand going to his chest as he gasped. "Worso! You scared me! I didn't know you were up. Good morning. How did you sleep?" He smiled sheepishly, his heart pounding as he turned and gathered dishes, serving scrambled eggs, toast, and some lean slices of ham onto the plates. He carried them over and set them down. Shortly thereafter he supplied silverware and napkins and two glasses; orange juice went into one and he paused. "Would you like some orange juice, or milk, or cranberry juice..?"

Worso had never intended to surprise the human. Something he noted even without him having said so. He supposed he should apologize so he did. "That was never my intention." He spoke, considering it. "I apologize for doing so." Not that he thought apologizing would do anything but he wanted the human to know he hadn't done it on purpose. He considered asking if there was anything he could do but then he simply remained where he was seated as he watched the human go about the kitchen. It seemed he had everything done already and now asked him what he wanted to drink. All the things mentioned were foreign to him so he wasn't sure what to say. He supposed he would go with the first choice if not to just see what it was like. "I suppose I'll settle with the orange juice." He spoke, considering that he was willing to try anything once. Perhaps if he liked this he would try it again later.
