It was hot out again--hot, and the sky was bright and clear, a lovely blue color. There was a slight breeze from the southeast which helped to keep the temperatures from feeling too stiflingly hot, but it was an undeniably hot day. It was well past noon at that point, and Hadyn had been in town for several hours. He lived about a half hour drive out of the town; his property, some seventy acres, ranged across half of one of the nearby mountains and a good ways along the hills below. The land was dotted with horses grazing and lined with little white lines--fences--crisscrossing her green-and-brown-and-gray mottled surface like embroidery on a cloak. She was crowned by a medium-large white house halfway up the mountain, settled in place like a queen overlooking her lands. The house, from here, was not visible, but Hadyn knew where it was by heart. He ought to, having lived here for six years now. He'd had the house specially built to his specifications, and while only a few of the townsfolk had actually been into the house, everyone knew that it was a beautiful place with the most up to date technology imaginable, and that it was immaculately clean--so they assumed he had maids--and that he lived all alone up there.
Naturally, a very rich young man who suddenly moved to a small town and had a house built on acres and acres of land and lived there all alone definitely drew attention. The gossip mill had immediately buzzed with activity, and rumors abound. How had he become so rich? Who was he? Why was he living here all alone? How old was he? Their questions went unanswered for the most part. Hadyn had changed his last name since being disowned. It was both as a method of protecting himself from fanatics and stalkers, and to keep himself from having to think of his family. It hurt to think of them, and Hadyn preferred not to remember.
He sometimes grew lonesome living out here all by himself, but at the same time the fear of someone finding out everything frightened him, and he shied away from the thought of inviting somebody into his lonely life. They might decide they didn't like him after finding out who he was, or might try to use him for his money or his ex-family's money. They might agree with his family and think him horrible, less than human, for his sexuality, and that frightened him most of all. What if he became close to this hypothetical person, and they...just...decided that he wasn't good enough? Or that they didn't want him anymore? In Hadyn's mind the possibility was too close and too certain, and he cringed at the thought. No, he definitely wouldn't risk it. He would just continue to live as he had; solitary, uninvolved, distant. That was alright. It was hard, but the redhead thought that in the end it would keep him from getting hurt, and so it was worth it.
He had come into town today for several things, and was driving his favorite vehicle--an old, beaten up truck with peeling and faded paint, dusty windows and worn leather seats. The air conditioner was broken and so he tended to drive with the windows rolled down. At the moment the truck had a hay bale strapped down on it and several large feed bags were being piled in around the hay. He had a few more things to get, including some groceries and perhaps a new book. Hadyn parked the truck with a grinding crunch of gears protesting and smiled as the engine shut off with a sound not unlike a sigh of relief, and patted the dashboard affectionately before removing the keys and hopping out. He went into the book store and walked around perusing the fiction section with interest. The redhead was wearing a casual pair of dark jeans which fit him well; they were semi tight along his rear and upper thighs but flared out a bit after the knees, half covering his comfortable but classy black shoes. He wore a white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and the first few buttons undone; this, too, was well fitted, and showed off his slender torso. He had his hair pulled back into a simple tail at the back of his head, curls tumbling down to his waist, with a few strands framing his face.
The redhead spent about half an hour in the bookstore and by the time he reached the counter he was smiling sheepishly with a whole armload of books, ranging from fiction to romance to metaphysics and engineering, which garnered him an odd look from the cashier. She didn't say anything about it though, just rang him up and told him to have a nice day as he left, lugging the heavy bag of books. That too went into the back of the truck and he strolled down the street towards the tack store. Perhaps he would purchase a new bridle, and he needed some more saddle soap--as well as a new training saddle. One of the colts had been a little brat when it came time to saddle train him, and had gone over backwards in an attempt to get the saddle off--and under the weight of the horse, the saddle's skeleton had broken, rendering the saddle useless. He came out, naturally, with more than he needed; two heavy bags filled with a few new bits and two bridles and some saddlesoap and a saddle pad and a few other miscellanious objects hanging from his arms and a new saddle being held with both hands--and a little box with holes in it and the sound of baby chicks cheeping balanced precariously on top.
Perhaps, Hadyn thought somewhat worriedly, looking at the distance to his truck, he'd gotten too much stuff. It was all rather heavy, and Hadyn was by no means a very strong person.
Here you go Kago. ^_^

Worso could hardly believe it was really just moments ago he has been in cool and shaded area only to be dropped off in a setting completely the opposite of what he had been in. That is he had been is a very nice spaceship and now he was on the Planet Earth. In some seemingly hot and unforgiving area. Well, that was what he kept in mind as he stood under the unrelenting rays of heat the sun gave off. But what did he expect when he had been told by some friend of a friend that he would get to see a location no one of his kind would think to go. Really, it had been too good to be true. He fully understood why it wasn't likely anyone of his kind would want to come here. He wasn't sure about the planet in genera but it was this place. Whatever it was called. He wasn't aware of the name. He just new he was dropped off a little ways from town where he wouldn't be noticed. Well, someone randomly coming out of this air was a rather odd site. One person was enough let alone two. Or he thought it would be two but it seemed he was left to fend for himself for a certain period of time. Something that really had Worso frowning but he should have expected as much. Or he shouldn't have expected a thing. That was his way of thinking after all or something like that.
Dark mauve orbs had been left to stare out at what was a notable town in the distance at first. Where the young man, Worso in his human like form, was left standing with a fairly large black pack over his shoulder. Something that hadn't quite been what the young man thought it would be. Just being left there by himself in his lavender colored T-shirt, made from some thin material, as well as being in a dark brown pants. Nothing fancy. Nothing that should have made him stick out. Well, the lavender colored shirt may have been odd But it was a color he liked and he had chosen his clothes at random. He wasn't picky on his attire today and wasn't exactly in the highest of spirits either. Not that he was ever that high in spirits when considered. To be out and about as he was now on another planet was certainly something to begin with. He had just been convinced to give it a try and here he was. He hoped that he didn't have to spend a long time here. That thought coming from the fact he hadn't been sent here for a designated time but picked up at the leisure of the person who dropped him off. Someone he wasn't finding himself very fond of. But putting his dislikes aside he needed to study where he was exactly. He had only been given a bit of information which amazingly, compared to what he was seeing, sounded something worth seeing. This, in his opinion, was not what he was used to seeing compared to the fact he saw a vast amounts of water in one area at a time. But he wasn't home he was here. Where here was exactly. That's when he started to walk with a somewhat audible sigh coming from his slightly parted teal colored lips that matched his skin.
All the while as Worso had walked under the unrelenting sun, he didn't think it was going anywhere anytime soon, referring to night that is, he considered what he would do here. He considered it while he walked in his relatively comfortable sandals. Shoes that had been comfortable earlier but he question it with his current terrain. But it was something he could overlook. He was more concerned with what he would have to deal with as soon as he entered the town he approached. Considering he would more then likely run into some sort of trouble he gave a frustrated sigh at the same time he raised a hand to run through his light mauve hair then moved that same hand to shade his eyes from the ever so bright sky. His equally light teal hand, matching the rest of his skin, which he already had enough sense to figure he would have problems with. As far as he knew about Earth the people here were in no way filled in on other worldly inhabitants. Leaving, in his mind, him thinking the people of this planet were most ignorant. Blissfully so he would assume. Something he wouldn't have even considered if it were for the fact that his appearance was foreign. He was at least fairly sure there were no Earthlings of a similar color to how he appeared. A thought that had caused him to pause in his tracks as he literally stopped at what he noted would technically be his first step into the town. He wondered if he should reconsider this. For a moment he thought he would but then he shrugged his shoulders and proceeded forward.
This was officially Worso's first time in a Earth town. He didn't waste as he started to take note of what was here and there about him. Although he wouldn't admit it he was slightly curious about what this planet had to offer or rather what this location had to offer. Besides the heat. He had considered that anyone around, as he expected to come across people, may stare at him as he passed by, due to his odd looks compared to the residents of this planet, but he could care less. He wasn't focused on all that anyways. His mind was set on taking note of what he had to deal with. But then he supposed that was one of the things he would have to deal with. Regardless, he wouldn't dwell on it. When he had to deal with something he would deal with it. Figuring out how he would deal with being stranded here was what he had to deal with first. Something he was still intently thinking on as he walked along a sidewalk. He chose to ignore anyone he may have passed. He was far too lost in thought on everything to really note it anyways. If it wasn't going to stand in his way then why mind it period. That was what he did. Until he noted someone actually blocking his way. Someone with a lot of things in hand. Now what was this about? If he wasn't mistaken the person here looked like they needed help. But he didn't really care to help/ Not at all. However, perhaps he could gain something out of this. Or perhaps he could walk around him and forget he ever saw this human... He supposed if he could get something out of this the effort was worth it.
"Excuse me." Worso spoke just loud enough to be heard by the human male he stood just a little ways from. "Do you need some assistance." Readjusting the black pack on his shoulder he took the time to look over the human entirely before noting their surroundings. If he wasn't mistaken it appeared that there was something he was looking at. Well, he couldn't read minds. Well, no that was a bit of a lie. He could talk to people telepathically but he had no wish to delve into a humans mind. Who knew what filthy thoughts came to dwell in their minds. Although he did not mean dirty as in literally or that one thought of perverse thing. He thought ignorance or lack of intelligence was a very ugly thing. He didn't care to see it for himself. Though he supposed he was over-thinking it. If there was a must or he just cared to then perhaps he would change his mind. Otherwise he was fine as he was now. Simply hoping to get somewhere while he was here instead of being totally lost.

Hadyn didn't notice anyone else out on the street. He wasn't really looking for anyone of course, being much too focused on his, as he saw it, dilemma to be thinking about others very much. Still, he couldn't claim to be surprised that nobody was out. It was midday and swelteringly hot. Most people were at work or school right now, and those who weren't were far more interested in staying inside and keeping cool. Hadyn intended to do just that, after he finished up what he was doing at the moment and got home.
He never noticed the person approaching him from behind till someone spoke behind him from startlingly close. Hadyn, who was somewhat prone to being jumpy, startled and gasped and tried to turn around. Too fast--the weight of the things he was carrying overbalanced him and he yelped as he almost fell over, managing to stumble into a wider stance just in time. The box of baby chicks was jostled and started to slide off of the saddle, much to his alarm, the volume of the high cheeps inside increasing along with the frequency and pitch. "Oh no--!" He tried to get the box balanced again, and managed to do so by leaning backwards in an uncomfortable position which kept the box on top of the saddle just barely, hanging off the edge a bit.
"I--" he looked up, his pale green eyes wide. "That..would be wonderful...thank you, sir," he smiled gratefully at the--well, the very odd looking young man. He wasn't bigger than Hadyn himself, at least not by Hadyn's estimation, but he certainly looked strange. For one, he had light bluish-green skin. That alone was stunning and confusing, and the redhead stared for a moment, just taking that in before he noticed the dark..the dark purple hair and eyes. The hair was easily explained--dyes and all that, and the eyes could too; colored contacts were a wonder. But..but, Hadyn couldn't explain the skin. It was absolutely mystifying to him. Perhaps it was some sort of new-age thing, skin dying, like temporary hair dyes, or the way some people bleach their skin or something. Surely not a full body tattoo. That would be excruciatingly painful, right?
It was extremely strange, but oddly...well, oddly pretty. The stranger's skin looked so soft and smooth, and Hadyn wondered if it was because of the color, or if his skin was really as soft and smooth as it looked. For that matter, was it that same color everywhere? It was a curious, perplexing thing, but Hadyn wasn't one to judge people. He realized he'd been standing there silently staring for a long while, and felt his cheeks heating rapidly and mentally cursed his pale skin, knowing his face was reddening. He ducked his head and let some of his deep red curls dangle down in front of it to hide his embarassment until he felt his cheeks cool. "Thank you so much...I just needed to get this down the street to my truck," he tilted his head towards the beaten-up truck, it's paint a faded and peeling mint green. "I'm Hadyn, Hadyn Devison. Pleased to meet you. Are you new here?" He was trying not to stare. It was very difficult, but Hadyn was trying!

Worso wondered briefly once again if his efforts would be wasted here. That is him offering to help. For all he knew the human here may be violent or come to simply insult his appearance. Not that he cared either way. Well, he didn't care to deal with a dangerous human. He didn't think to dwell on insults directed on his natural appearance. He still did not think to care about what some human had to say. A race he thought was quite inferior. Well, he at least saw nothing to praise them about. Though he supposed that was because he knew very little of them. Regardless of the details he didn't know though he highly doubted his opinion would change due to any sort of semi-positive facts. He started to think himself unfortunate to have been stuck here for whatever time he was to stay here. He didn't know an exact date. He only knew that the time here would be certainly not short and he would have to learn to adapt to everything around him and just make the best of things. Something he already did...to some extent at least.
Mauve orbs held a somewhat amused look to them as he noted what his sudden decision to speak up had done. Now he could not see the front of the human he spoke to but it was clear to him with the sounds he heard that h had surprised the other male. He at least assumed the other was male though he could see his hair was quite long. It was that and the humans figure struck him as male though he didn't have any sort of wide build. He supposed it could have just been a guess of sorts as well. Not like he cared what the gender of the human here was anyways. As long as he could do something here that cold possibly give him a chance to be helped then he would do it. Though there was only so much he was willing to do to get a bit of assistance. He simply assumed that the human that appeared quite burdened with items only wanted assistance with that and that was exactly what he was thinking to help with. It seemed like a reasonable thing to help with as well so why not. That was what he was thinking at least. But then seeing what occurred or what nearly occurred he wondered if he should bother with this one. He took a moment to look the human over once more upon thinking that. At least he seemed to have some good balance. What was that noise he was hearing? He couldn't figure it out but it sounded like it was coming from one of the things the human had in hand.
Though Worso thought he may be wasting his time he still found the picture amusing. How the human seemed to barely managed to keep even one thing from toppling over. If he thought it appropriate he would have clapped his hands. He however did not think it was so and thus he merely watched him silently until he thought it appropriate to utter anything at all. It seemed to take some time before he was spoken to. He didn't miss the motion of the others eyes widening. He could only imagine it was his appearance. "You don't need to thank me." He hadn't done anything yet. He wouldn't accept a thanks or anything of the sort until he had earned it. He wasn't one for taking credit where it wasn't deserved. It didn't seem quite fair or right for that matter. Not that he was one to care about such things. He didn't think anything in life was really fair. It was how things were. He just didn't care to have to deal with anything of the sort here himself. That is, he personally only wanted to be given any sort of thanks after he had done something. But then considering the matter a bit more he actually didn't care either way. For all he cared he didn't even needed to be thanked. As long as he got a little assistance. That was all he needed shown in any sort of gratitude. He really did hope he wasn't wasting his time here. If this human couldn't help him he saw going anywhere else to be a bit more effort then he cared to give. Not that he was lazy but one of his kind could only do so much under the relentless heat of the sun that continuously seemed to beat down on him. He just didn't care to deal with it at all as long as he could help it. But that was why he was here. He couldn't help it and he needed some information on this place as well as a bit of assistance with settling in around the area. He didn't dare think to wander too far from his original point of origin. He knew his ride would come back eventually and when it did he didn't want to be too far from it if he could help it.
For a moment Worso was tempted to try and read the other males mind. Simply due to his response towards looking at him. The way it appeared he looked away. Well, perhaps not look away exactly. He just ducked his head down but it was more then enough to have him just a little curious on what was going on in his head. He however reminded himself he didn't care to dwell in a humans mind nor did he think to speak to any that way either. Though considering that thought he realized he didn't often speak verbally. Well, it wasn't like he was around anyone he wasn't so familiar with so why would he bother. Especially when he spent his time in the water more then on land. One couldn't exactly speak verbally under water now could they. That was something that should have been common sense if one thought about it. Not that he was thinking about it now though. He caught what he heard was the humans name and made a mental note of it. "I'm Worso Nisaru." He thought he should introduce himself and saw no harm in it either. "And I am...new here I just arrived in town a bit at random and am quite at a loss...at my surroundings." He took his time in choosing the right words to use. The last thing he wanted to mention was that he was from another world and that he wasn't use to their current terrain. He simply had it in mind to do the best he could and that was all he could really manage. He wasn't sure what else he could do besides that.
"So, you just need some assistance getting to your...truck." This...truck, he knew nothing of it. That is he had never seen any but took it as what he heard was a vehicle. He took the time to look in the direction that it was pointed out in and was sure that he saw it from afar. "What would you like me to carry." Upon stating this he once again readjusted the back on his shoulder with a noticeably slightly webbed hand. It was nothing he thought to hide so he didn't. Besides he was just thinking of what to take. Though his thoughts did linger a bit on the possible problem he might have with his appearance. It may be best to avoid smiling a bit. At least anything that would show his slightly pointed teeth. Though it wasn't like it couldn't be noted otherwise. When he spoke verbally, moved his lips, it might have been noticed. But then he didn't think the other male was looking at his lips. He might be looking at his face but that was another matter of sorts. Whether or not it was noticed didn't matter to him though. "I'll help you however I am able to." He sudden;y thought to add this as he looked at the things the human held. He supposed he could just start to take things but he noted some things might be fragile and he had no desire to break or hurt anything.

Hadyn offered a smile at the odd young man. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Nisaru. How do you like it here?" He was trying not to sound strained, but the whole load really was heavy and his arms were starting to tremble and ache. "Wh...where are you straining?" The inn was rather small. Hadyn wondered why some young person like him was just randomly showing up in town. It wasn't like this was a very interesting place to live after all, as small and insular as it was, and suddenly he realized how everyone else must have felt about him showing up in town with no relatives, refusing to answer questions, intending to live here.
No wonder everyone had been so curious.
Hadyn resisted the urge to ask him questions. It wasn't his place to, and anyways, if he didn't get some of this taken out of his arms soon, he would drop it all! He nodded in answer to the young man's question. "Yes, that's right, just down the road there--not far! Um--could you take the saddle, and I'll get the rest? It's about the same weight..." It was, too. He smiled gratefully at the other man. "That's very kind of you to offer," He held out the saddle a little, trying to keep the box of baby birds balanced. They already sounded rather alarned, the poor things.
(OOC: Sorry for the delay and how short it is. I was out today!)

Worso couldn't help but spare a glance about the room as he heard what the other male he knew as Hadyn had asked. How did he like it here? Not very much. But it seemed a rather rude to go on to say something like that. At least far from polite. He resisted saying what he had first thought and went on to say something else. "It's relatively pleasant but...I'm used to something different." He was trying to say he thought this place was alright but it wasn't really his preferred setting. Hopefully it came off like that. If not then...well, he didn't care to go on and pretend he found this place pleasant to any degree. He really didn't. Especially when this heat kept beating down on him when he preferred a calm and cool setting that was preferably wet. But one could only get so fortunate. He was just relieved that things had gone as...well as they had so far. Not saying that they had gone much of anywhere really. He was considering what else he could say when he heard yet another question asked. Did he really just ask where he was staying? Did he not say he had just arrived here? "Nowhere, I know nothing about this town and barely know much about this pla-." He had to cut himself off as he realized what he was saying. He had been about to mention he knew little of this planet but then that wasn't an acceptable thing so he hoped that what he stopped himself from saying wouldn't be questioned.
"I was actually hoping to get some assistance with that." Unless there was some kind of inhabitable body of water nearby, of any sort where there were fish thriving in it, then he didn't have a place to go where he could avoid interacting with humans. This meaning he had more then a bit of trouble as he knew of no places about here where he could stay. He was considering if this human he was speaking with now could but before he even thought any further on it he saw it best to assist him now as he originally thought to. Hearing what Hadyn said he didn't hesitate to move forward and take what he heard was called a saddle. It hadn't looked really heave but here he found out it did have quite a bit of wait to it. Taking a hold of it with his webbed hands he hoped that this was worth it. Really, he didn't think anyone did random kind deed in the present time on any planet. "You lead the way, I'll follow." This was what he was thinking as well as he did note where the truck was but he knew it wasn't going anywhere without the human here so why even try to go on ahead or anything of the sort. He was actually wondered if there was much more he could say to the other male now but then he found nothing that didn't make it seem like he was just trying to get his help by helping him.
What was that noise again? It was coming from a box the human had. He really wanted to know what it was. Well, he was curious to say the least. Perhaps he could find out later. Then again he wasn't really expecting to linger about with this human. He may be on this planet for awhile but he had no idea what would happen from now to whenever he would actually leave. He really would like to have a good idea of what the area about this place was like. Perhaps he was better off trying to find some place out of town. But he felt this place was a place practically in the middle of nowhere that wouldn't have what he hoped it had. That is any water nearby. Just thinking on the lack of made him wish he had rethought this who trip. But he saw no pint in regretting anything. He knew what he was doing when he came. He just hadn't thought that this would be what came from it. He could only hope that he survived this whole trip. Not that he expected something terrible to happen but he wasn't sure yet how he would get by and until then he had no idea what to expect.

Hadyn nodded, understanding what he meant--or, well, he thought he did. This place could be seen as rather desolate, especially this time of year. "It gets better in the autumn and spring." He did frown however when the boy said he had nowhere to stay. "Ah. Well, would you like a lift to the inn, then?" It was the least he could do. Really.
He sighed in relief when the heavy load was relieved somewhat and smiled, taking his box of chicks back. "Thank you so much. It's this way," He turned and walked down the road to the truck, where he put the bags into the back between the hay and the back of the truck. "Here, just put it back there wherever it'll fit. Thanks again, Mr. Nisaru. Here, hop in and I'll take you right over to the inn and we can see about getting you a room. You might have some difficulty finding a room right now though, as there's a family reunion in town this week, and then a wedding next week. But we'll see if they have any rooms free." He opened the truck door for the boy and then went around to the other side and got in, settling the cheeping box onto the seat beside him before he strapped himself in and ignited the engine. "Buckle up, and we'll be ready to go."
When the other was buckled Hadyn shifted the truck into first gear and set about driving. It was only a few streets over, and the inn was a very small, family affair--technically, it was just a little house with three extra bedrooms for rent, and when he went inside and asked Saralee, she smiled and said, "Sorry, Hadyn, but we're full up and booked for three weeks." Hadyn smiled. "Well, that's alright, Saralee. Mr. Nisaru can stay with me, if he wishes." He looked questioningly at the oddly colored young man.

Worso wasted no time when it came following the human he came to know as Hadyn. He was quick to follow listening to whatever he had to say. He didn't get what he referred to when he first spoke. He simply nodded not thinking to get into the details of anything here. It sounded like he was going to be assisted with finding a place to stay so he didn't see himself really having to think on the subject anymore then he had. At least not at the moment. Something he had no problem doing as he just thought to mind what was going on around them. He saw no reason to think on more then he necessarily had to. Although he would anyways at some point in time he didn't feel it was a must until they got somewhere.
The merman really hoped helping the human he met only moments ago wasn't a waste of time. He didn't appreciate getting sweaty or anything for nothing. Though the loss of a bit of water, or dehydration, seemed something bound to happen when he was out under the hot sun. Though now he was allowed to take a seat in this truck he was told about and up close to. He placed the thing he had taken and rested it where he was told do and from there he simply when to take a seat himself in the truck. At least hearing that he would be given a ride made him think he was welcomed. He was now quite curious on this large contraption he had come to seat himself in. Where he closed the door once inside. Only after he saw what Hadyn did. He was a bit confused as to what he should and shouldn't do. More so what he should do as he most likely wouldn't done anything. Not in this truck. That was what he believed it was called. Where he had to 'buckle up' as he saw what Hadyn did. Hopefully he did the right thing here. He noted that same noise coming fro a box in the seat. He couldn't help but stare at it for a moment as he felt uncomfortable in his knew setting. That is being in this large contraption called a truck. Something he noted more when it started to move.
Worso wouldn't have thought that he would come to dislike this large contraption. Not that he had a real good reason for doing so. It was just he was use to walking and swimming and this was different. He wasn't sure how he felt about this. It had him lost in thought on it for a bit but then he minded that box in the seat and really wanted to look inside. He would have to but then he thought it wasn't best to mess with something he knew little to nothing about and refrained from touching it. It was really only when it seemed they came to there destination did he focus his mind elsewhere. He had no idea where they were exactly but he went along with it all. He just assumed he would be helped here and it seemed he was. It just didn't look like he would be getting anywhere at this rate. That is he heard there was no place for him to stay so he felt ab it at a loss. That was until he heard what Hadyn said. Did he really mean that. "If you are alright with that, I would appreciate it." He went to say this basically saying that he did want to stay with hm. This was better then being caught out in the sun for too long where he would surely but eventually meed his early demise or he might have exaggerated but he was sure he would dehydrate until that point in time.

Hadyn couldn't help but feel bad for the boy. He wasn't, after all, in a very good situation. He was all alone in a strange place with nowhere to stay. And everyone in town was going to stare at him like he ws a complete freak. And Hadyn had plenty of room, so he didn't mind at all. He smiled at the boy and nodded, trying to appear reassuring. "I'm fine with it. It's the least I can do--and it would be cruel to just leave someone out on the streets with nowhere to stay! Come, I was about to head home anyways." He smiled and led the way back to the truck, got in and waited for the odd young man to do the same, and then they were off.
The ride was much longer this time, and soon they were driving through a smaller path through the woods up the mountain before the path cleared suddenly, rolling hills of green fields dotted with horses, their manes and tails magnificent, feet feathered, lined with white fences and crowned with a large white house, a large lake lower down on the land, and a few smaller ponds and a river ran through the property. He drove up to the gate, hopped out and opened it, then got back in and drove past it, and then got out again to close it before he finished the drive up to the house and parked by it. "Home sweet home." He smiled. "Let's get you settled."
He got out of the truck and went up to the house with the cheeping box rested on one hip and held by one arm and unlocked the door, opened it and went in. He removed his shoes at the entryway and then stepped inside. It was a nice house; large, open, tastefully decorated and well lit with many large windows and tall cielings. "Here, I'll take you to a guest room." He went to the stairs and began climbing them; there was a large open sitting room lined with bookshelves at the top with two hallways leading off; he tapped one door, "That's my room, and you stay here." He led him into a guest bedroom, which was spacious with a fullsized bed and a large bay window with a windowseat, an empty dresser with a lamp and a bookshelf. "Here. I'm going to go and put these guys," He indicated to the box he held, "In their new home. Would you like to come with me and take the grand tour?"

Worso had to admit, only to himself, he was relieved that the young human male he met seemed to offer him a place to stay. That and that he assumed he could get quite a bit of help in actually settling on this planet for the time being. He figured he should probably voice his thanks. That he should show his appreciation. He however chose to simply spare a faint smile. One that had come just ab it forced. While the rest came from the relief he felt at the moment for how lucky he was up until now. Well, not like anything bad happened here so far. "I really appreciate this." The managed to utter that as he came to follow the human back to his truck. From what he heard just now it seemed the human he met was really quite nice. Someone who didn't seem to want anything for helping out. That was also something he found impossible to believe and thought it was only a matter of time before he was asked for something or was expected to pay him back for the kindness he had shown. It was something he had in mind but at the moment he didn't think to dwell on it anymore then he needed to. He simply followed Hadyn and left it at that.
Honestly the merman, as that was what Worso was, was a bit apprehensive about the whole new drastic change of scenery. Something he wasn't used to. Something he thought it hot over. The fact that he was in a place he didn't know was the whole point he was here. To be somewhere new. To be somewhere he thought would strike his interest. So far, he had to say it wasn't doing at all what he expected. He found himself finding the scenery far from his liking. Any palce with an immense amount of heat, as this place looked to be, made him very uncomfortable. Something he also thought he would get over though. He would. He had to. He was stuck here. He wanted to make the best of things. In his own way. Though he had nothing but negative thoughts on this whole situation he was in. At least something good seem to come of it. It was what he thought as the scene seemed to change a bit as they drove. Looking out the window was all he did throughout the ride. It was impossible to miss what was going on about them. That is the landscape. He didn't think it so bad suddenly. With that thought came a mental sigh. At a moment like this he wouldn't mind soaking in some source of water for a bit. Something he considered but then thought better of it. If he did anything of the sort it would have to be in private and he wasn't sure when he would have a chance to be close to any sort of large enough source of water to engulf his being. He would just have to find some alternative. If there was one. It almost made him feel to groan. Such a thought that he would have to go out of his way or simply bare with the heat with no sufficient amount of water about. Really, what had he done to deserve this situation.
It seemed that Worso was quite lost in thought for when he heard Hadyn speak he noted they appeared to be at their destination. It was with this that he came to take a moment to look around once more at where they had arrived. He wasted no time getting out of the car when he saw the other male had gotten out. With that same box that made that strange noise. He knew something was in there but he still didn't know what. He wanted to ask but then he didn't want to ask. The last thing he wanted to o was look ignorant in anyone's eyes. He was sure all humans would have known what was in there. He, not being human, had no clue. And it was a bother but he could do nothing about it and thus simply went along with things. That left him silent as he followed Hadyn inside his home. He didn't miss his chance to look about with his dark mauve orbs. It was only when he heard the mention of a guest room did he look back to the human he was with. Following him upstairs he noted what he was told as they reached some rooms. Well, those he noted were just Hadyn's room and the one he would be staying in. Something he gave a slight nod to as he heard what was said on that. He was quick to look around here as well noting where he would be staying. He looked very briefly thoughtful on his current place to stay when he heard Hadyn speak again. It seemed he would go off and do something with that box and whatever was it it. He still didn't mention what.
The only thing that came to mind now was 'why not?'. With that thought he set his bag on the floor and turned towards Hadyn. "I'd like that." He spoke, with a passive expression he considered altering to look somewhat positive or at least cheerful. He found he didn't really care to do so though and found himself not doing anything more but then he thought to add. "Please lead the way." He smiled just a bit at that though he hadn't considered doing so before.

Hadyn thought the boy was oddly quiet, but he didn't want to say anything. Perhaps Worso was merely shy, or wasn't sure what to talk bout. Hadyn wasn't saying much either, because he didn't know what to say, either. Hadyn was quiet throughout the drive, and the young man behind him remained silent as he led him to the room he was giving him. It was...well, kind of uncomfortable, and Hadyn wondered if perhaps he'd made a mistake in inviting a complete stranger to stay with him.
Honestly the redhead was surprised when Worso agreed to come with him, but it was a pleasant surprise. "Alright. C'mon," He led the way back outside and then walked out back, through one gate and out into a small paddock, the fences lined with chicken wire along the bottom. There were chickens wandering around the grass free, scratching at the grass and eating. Hadyn went to the chicken coop, which was about the size of a storage shed and went to the back, where there were smaller coops set up with chicken wire around a small area and a little inside box. He opened the top of the wire cage and then set the box next to them. Immediately, several of the chickens came over, hoping for food handouts, and he gently pushed them away from the box. "Okay. We're going to put these guys," He lightly tapped the top of the box, "Into this little coop. This will let them have a place to wander around and grow up in without having to worry about the big animals hurting them."
Hadyn lifted the lid off of the box. Inside were a dozen baby chickens, old enough not to need a heat lamp but still young enough not to be getting their real feathers in yet. Hadyn smiled at Worso. "Would you like to hold one?" He reached into the box and selected a brown one with two white stripes going down it's back and sides, and held it out, cupped between his hands and peeping.

Worso still didn't care to admit it but he was quite interested to see what was about this place. Seeing as how he was invited to come along he wasn't going to miss his chance to see or learn anything. Besides what was the point of being here if he didn't do all he could do. It was with this thought he went to follow along behind Hadyn. Seeing he lead them outside where he was quite surprised and in slight awe at what he saw. Things or animals that he wasn't familiar with. What were these things? He wanted to know. He wanted to ask. But he still felt it would be out of place to do so. It was with that the questions he had in mind remained silent. He wasn't going to voice such ridiculous thoughts. At least what he thought would be here.
It was really quite a sight to see whatever kind of animals were in this place Hadyn had taken him. There he had the box again. He was opening it now in a particular area. He couldn't help but be more then a little curious or rather intrigued as he saw the scene unfold before him. From the animals about here coming near to them being gently pushed away. Then came the little small but quite noisy creatures he had never seen before. So, these were the things making all that noise? He had to wonder but then thought it was obvious. But what were they? What did they do? Did they always keep this much nose? Not that it bothered him. He was just honestly curious to know.
At the moment Worso hadn't noted his own current expression. How his dark mauve orbs had come to widen just a bit as he looked either surprised or in awe. It was most definitely the latter. More so when he heard what Hadyn had offered. He stood there at first simply staring at it before he found himself giving a curt nod as he reached to take the creature offered to him to hold. He did so wonder what it felt like to touch it. It looked so fragile. He bet it was. This told him to be as gentle with it as possible. Not a difficult thing to do considering he was far from the type to be rough unless he had to. His thoughts were just focused on being gentle now as he almost came to hesitate with taking the creature. But it just looked so...so...something. Nothing bad. He was sure of that. He just wasn't sure how to put it. Perhaps interesting. No, that wasn't it. Maybe, appealing. Well, it wasn't ugly. He was sure of that. He just found it hard to describe this creature he had never encountered before. Something that was so...cute. That was it. Was, that it? He didn't often use the word. But it seemed to fit somehow. Something he thought was a definite as he took the creature in his hands as carefully as he could being as gentle as he could.
The first thing that Worso did upon taking the creature in his hands was to get a closer look at it. Something he did as he raised his now cupped hands to his face a bit. Now quite clearly staring intently at the creature as if he expected it to do something spectacular. Something that was clearly shown upon his expression as he did so. Something that might have looked odd and he couldn't help himself with actually attempting to speak with the creature. As if he expected it to talk back. For all he knew it could but he knew nothing of it other then it's appearance. "What are you?" Of course he didn't speak verbally. He spoke with his mind. His kind were known to be telepathic after all. It was a natural thing for him. Which was why once he noted what he did he frowned just a bit. Finding the question he had just tried speaking telepathically with the creature in his hands something he wanted to voice verbally. Well, he had almost done so telepathically but stopped himself before then. Whether it was odd to ask or not he felt he needed to know. "What are these?" It seemed more logical to ask the human he was with here instead of trying to speak with this creature who he wasn't quit sure of it's level of intelligence.
Even though he asked about the creature he found himself still staring intently at it but also now curious about more. He noted it felt soft. He was tempted to pet it or rub his face against it to see just how soft it felt. But then he knew nothing about whether it was dangerous or not. Then he attempted to smell it from where he was and found no distasteful scent to it. It in general didn't smell bad to him. He wondered what humans did with these creatures. It didn't look like it was capable of much but then something told him it was a mere baby that would grow to look like these other less appealing creatures about the area. That was a shame. The thought caused his faint frown to linger.

Hadyn had to smile at the way Worso's eyes were wide, how awed he looked. It was cute, to see the expression on the young man who had been stoic up until this point. He probably had never seen a chick up close before, judging by the exrpression on his face and the way he took the chick so very carefully. Hadyn watched with amusement as the chick, still peeping, was lifted close to Worso's face to be examined.
The chick went quiet briefly in response to the odd presence in it's mind, but could give no answer. It was a simple animal, and a baby at that; it did not understand the attempted communication, and soon forgot it entirely, returning to it's cheeping.
Hadyn blinked when he was asked what it was, but supposed that maybe he was just a city boy, and had never seen one before. "It's a baby chicken. All of these are chickens." He patted one of the hens that was wandering over, trying to reach the box--and Hadyn was preventing it. He began lifting the baby chicks and transfering them gently to the smaller cage, where they wandered around. Once they were in he stood and went to fill up their food and water dish and set them inside. "You can keep holding that one all you like. I need to feed the adults." He went and did so, scattering feed for them; the birds flocked to him immediately, pecking at the grains he'd tossed for them, milling around his feet. Once he'd given them their share he carefully walked through them and went about cleaning things up a bit.
It didn't take him too overly long, and he went back over to Worso. "I'm going to go unload the hay from the back of the truck. You can come with me if you want, but you don't have to. When you finish with the chick, can you put it in the little cage and close it, please? Thanks." He smiled at him, brushing a few thick red curls back over his shoulder.

Worso was a bit disappointed that the animal or whatever it was did not speak back. He supposed it couldn't be help. He could only expect so much from this kind of being. Whatever it was. At the thought of his disappointment he couldn't help but frown a bit. All the same though he found the creature to be very cute and he only wished to touch it and simply stare at it. He wanted to rub his face against it a bit to feel how soft it felt against his hands but then he didn't suppose that was the best thing to do. He didn't know how humans normally reacted to such creatures and the last thing he wanted to do was do something strange. Though he couldn't help but smile a bit as he looked at the creature he held.
It was almost unexpected to hear Hadyn speak to him. Worso found himself looking up with his dark mauve eyes with an obvious curious look to them as he looked at the human here with him. So these small things were baby chickens. Well, these baby chickens were adorable or cute at least. Then he heard the other things about the area were chickens. He couldn't help but frown a bit at that. At the thought that these cute baby chicks would turn into those chickens. He didn't find chickens to be cute at all when they were older. As he assumed they were. He couldn't help but continuously look from the chickens to the baby chick and finally to the one he had a hold of in his hands. He really didn't want to see the baby chick turn into that but he supposed it couldn't be helped or avoided.
It was at least nice to hear he could keep a hold of this one. He was almost tempted to ask if he could keep it but then he considered that he really had no idea how to take care of one. It was that and he didn't exactly have a specific place to keep it either. Well, at least he could still enjoy the baby chicken he had. He smiled a bit simply thinking to enjoy that much and perhaps thanking the human here for allowing him to hold it longer then he thought he would. Once again he thought it was a real shame that this creature couldn't talk back to him. As he looked at it he suddenly wondered something. Something he would have thought to ask right away but he wondered if it made sense. He supposed the only way to do so was to speak to the other male and find out.
Before Worso could speak up he found he heard Hadyn speak up. It seemed he intended to do something and informed him of it. As well as letting him know to put the baby chick he had in along with the others. Something he didn't find himself big on doing but then he found himself thinking it may be for the best. He just wished the baby chick could talk to him. Though he supposed he never expected a baby to speak so he couldn't think to trouble the cute little thing to do anything of the sort. But he had to wonder if any of the bigger animals here could understand him. He had a feeling they did not speak the human language but perhaps he could spoke to them with his mind. He thought to give it a shot but right now he did not care to actually speak with any of them. None that he found he had reason to really care to talk to.
Consider that Worso could only stand here staring at the chick that could not talk back he figured that he should follow along at least. "I'll come with you." He wondered if he could take the baby chick with him or if he had to leave it here where he was told to put it. He supposed it probably wanted to be with the other baby chicks so without saying what he was thinking he went ahead and ever so reluctantly placed the chick in the cage he was told to, being sure to close it as he was told to as well. Something he couldn't help but frown at a bit. It's not like it was a creature the was significant but all the same he felt a bit at a loss as he found a creature he liked but then had to part from it for now.

Hadyn nodded in response to Worso's decision to come with him and waited by the gate long enough for the odd colored young man to follow him, and closed the gate carefully. He didn't want any of the chickens to get out, after all. They might get hurt. He went back to the truck and got in, started the engine and, after Worso got in, drove through his property on a small service road towards his barn. He parked out back and went out, got a pitchfork and dropped the gate of the truck before he clambered up, red hair swinging at his back.
He maneuvered his way to the front of the bed and began shoving at the big roll of hay, which was about as tall as Hadyn was, trying to get it to roll out. He grunted and sweated and pretty much put forth great effort into getting the darn thing to roll out of the truck. It was normal for this to take a long time, and he would usually be sore and exhausted by the end of it. Hadyn expected nothing less this time--he really wasn't a very strong person!
