Worso was definitely relieved to hear they were almost there. He just tried to focus on where they were going once again. He didn't exactly think to forget everything else around him though. He was just didn't so much think of what would make him nervous. That is the fact he was riding on top of this thing period. Something that only remained in mind as long as he allowed it to. At the moment where his mind focused, on where they were going, he saw it really wasn't long before they were arrived at the destination or so he would think as he didn't think to focus on what happened in-between.
Seeing the lake made Worso give a verbal sigh of relief. He was happy for the assistance given to him in getting off the horse he was on as he noted the human he was with had already gotten off. He wasted no time in getting off the horse as he did what he was told to. He however didn't actually think he would come to have to worry about his legs which turned out he should have. He found as soon as his feet touched the ground he was a bit off and tilted a bit off to the side having to lean towards the human for support.

After Worso dismounted, his legs were clearly weak, and Hadyn put his arms around him to keep him from falling down. "Hey, you okay?" The redhead smiled. "How bout you sit down for a minute, okay? It's just because of sitting in that position for so long." He led him over to the tree Warlock was tied to and helped him sit down. Hadyn then went about removing Velvet's tack and tied her a little out of Warlock's reach. He didn't want any accidental breedings, after all, and anyways, he sort of thought that such a thing might frighten Worso, or something. The horses were content to start grazing, although Warlock casually wandered over to Worso to sniff at him curiously, big muzzle nudging gently at Worso's head as he sniffed at him and made the pale hair flutter.
Hadyn suppressed a smile; Warlock was like a big cuddly teddy bear, and was probably hoping Worso would either pet him or give him a treat. He went over and pushed at the muscular shoulder. "You brat, leave Worso alone..." He scolded gently with a smile. "He hasn't got any carrots for you, you beggar."

Worso was grateful the human Hadyn was there to help him. It would have been quite uncomfortable to have fallen. Hearing the suggestion to sit down wasn't something he thought to turn down. He went right along with him to the tree he lead him to and sat down. Grateful to have the ground beneath him and not the large creature that he still barely knew anything about. From there he directed his gaze towards the water he was very much looking forward to getting in. Even if he couldn't change into his other form. At least not unless he wanted to get caught which wasn't something he wanted. He was in fact thinking on the that possibility when he suddenly noted movement from the corner of his eye. Looking in that direction he noted the horse was approaching him. Not the one he had ridden either but the other. He was already wary of the creatures. It didn't help that this one approached him. Whether with dark intentions or not he found himself scooting back attempting some mental contact. "Stay back." He didn't know if it got through or if the horse could understand him but it was a sort of automatic reaction. Perhaps he would have voiced it verbally but he was used to talking mentally and that's how it came off.
Perhaps if Worso read Hadyn's mind he wouldn't think the creatures so bad. But he wasn't thinking to do that. Though with his reactions so far he would hope to get over whatever fears he may have come to have with these creatures. They had yet to do anything to make him dislike him. It was mostly the fact that he knew nothing of the creature and it was larger then he was. Unlike the cute chick he had seen for the first time today that was at least much smaller. It didn't even matter that it wasn't able to talk back to him. That he at least found himself fond of. Perhaps he just needed time. He was sure that was all he needed or hoped so. He didn't like the fact that a creature like this could make him act the way he was. He did note or hear what Hadyn had said and supposed there was no danger here but still that didn't quite ease his feelings entirely.

Warlock was more intelligent than the chick but was by no means capable of intelligent conversation; he did understand the desire of the human-thing in front of him for Warlock not to approach, but he didn't understand it. After a pause, the horse continued approaching, his mind full of friendly curiosity and hopeful affection.
Hadyn smiled. "Don't worry, Worso. He really is just hoping you'll scratch him behind the ear or on the neck. He really likes getting attention."

Worso was disappointed that this seemed to be yet another creature he couldn't really communicate with. Especially when t came to him keeping the other creature away who paused but came to approach him again. He continued moving away again. Perhaps even making a dive for the water but he wasn't the type to act like he was now. Simply acting like he was so intimidated by the creature as he was now even if that was the simple fact here. The only thing he supposed helped kept him where he was, not running off anywhere, and being rational was that the human here reassured him the horse wouldn't cause any harm and he felt no ill intentions from the horse itself.
Hearing the human speak to him again he gave a slight now and decided he would rather be standing then sitting now. Already he moved with the help of the tree to stand up. He wasn't sure if he was stead on his legs just yet so he did that much. "Should I do so then?" He was ab it wary of the large creature then but if it wanted something from him and he wanted to get over the way he felt he thought he might as well as do something.

Hadyn smiled when Worso stood up, and walked over. "Yeah. He'd love you forever if you had a carrot or apple to give to him. Here." He went close and stood right by Worso and reached out, smoothing his hand over Warlock's cheek and to his ear, which he scratched behind. The horse leaned into the scratching with obvious pleasure, and Hadyn smiled and looked at Worso. "Just like that. He might nudge at your pockets, but that's just because he's hoping you'll have a treat for him."

Worso gave a slight nod at all he had just heard. Well, he saw what he needed to do. It was unfortunate he didn't have a great. Though he really though the human was exaggerating with how much the horse would like him. He was a bit hesitant at first but he soon enough reached out and did exactly what he saw Hadyn do. He hoped that he wouldn't come to regret this. If he could get the horse to like him that would have been a start here. He really didn't want to waste all his time with the horses. He had come here for the water that he really hoped to get into soon. He really wanted to relax in the water for a bit.

Hadyn watched his guest. He wanted Worso to be comfortable with the animals while he was staying; not only for Hadyn's convenience, but for Worso's comfort. After all, staying as a guest on a ranch like this...even if it was a very, very small one...he would definitely encounter animals quite a bit. In any case, they would still have to ride back. And Hadyn wanted Worso to be comfortable with taking one of the horses out without feeling like Hadyn had to be there with him. When things got busy, Hadyn might not be able to go with him every time Worso wanted to go swimming, and he didn't think Worso would enjoy walking a mile and a half to swim.
Warlock was greatly enjoying Worso's attentions and heaved a great sigh, butting his big head into the scratches and closed his eyes. Hadyn smiled, pleased. "See? He likes you. Now, how about that swimming, huh?"
He turned and went towards the water, pulled his shirt and pants off, leaving him in his boxers. He really was very pale and lean; it was evident that he had muscles, they just weren't very large ones. Hadyn probably should have put sunscreen on, because he would undoubtedly come away with this looking like a lobster, but he'd forgotten. Oh well, no going back now. After folding his clothes neatly and setting them atop a stone where they'd remain dry, he walked into the water. It was clear and cold, the bottom sandy and pleasant to walk in.

Worso wasn't sure what to think at the moment. The attention he gave the horse seemed to be appreciated. That is, the horse he saw here didn't do anything bad and did look like he enjoyed it. He didn't have to try and decipher the thoughts of the animal to figure that much out. He found himself smiling just a bit as he looked at the horse and found his gaze soon diverted to looking towards Hadyn as he heard him speak of something he really wanted to do now. Really, he felt he had been waiting forever to be able to get into the water.
An answer wasn't really needed from the Merman. Well, he didn't think it was as this was why he came out here. He already turned from the horse and moved towards the water but stopped for a moment to watch the human he was with go about entering the water firs.t He saw him discard his clothing and head into the water in nothing but his human undergarments. He wondered if that was necessary to have something on when he got in the water. He preferred not to but he supposed if he didn't he would be naked in front of the human. It was a thought that didn't really bother him. He spent most of his time being naked in front of other technically. Well, as far as it came to how a merman had a lower half of a fish and really didn't need to put on clothes. Which he would think would be a perfect explanation as to whether he had something on underneath his clothes or not. Not that hr was saying he did. He just thought he was lucky to have something on if only for the sake of the human that possibly didn't care to see him without clothes.
It was with that thought he started to discard hos own shirt and pants then his shoes left in nothing but boxers. From there he set his clothes off to the side on another rock seeing what Hadyn had did. He figured it was to keep his clothes dry though he wouldn't have cared either way seeing how he loved the water and the cold would have been welcomed now but he supposed he shouldn't take any chances.
"How deep is the water?" Worso thought to ask this as he came up beside the Human. He wondered for a moment if he could ask if he had to have anything on to get in the water with. But then he doubted he was going to switch to his other form. Unless there was a place he could be more discreet and avoid the line of sight from the human. Not sure if any place like that was about here he would just have to stick with the two legs he had instead of a tail.

The water was crisp against his skin, with a very slight current. Tiny minnows darted about around his ankles and feet, their bodies flashing silver in the light, and he smiled down at the pretty patterns they made as they swam. Worso's question brought his attention back to the present and the red head lifted, turning so that he could see Worso. His cheeks warmed briefly at the sight of the other in naught but his undergarments. "I'm not sure. I usually only go out about twenty feet, because that's about seven to ten feet deep or so." While Hadyn enjoyed swimming, he was not and had never been the strongest swimmer, and he felt it was safer to stay fairly close to the shore. Drowning was one of Hadyn's fears, so he didn't really feel safe going into water over his head.
Speaking of dangerous, his brows furrowed when the thought of what would happen if Worso wasn't a strong swimmer came to mind. Hadyn would try to save him, of course! But...but he didn't think he could. "How strong of a swimmer are you?" Delicate steps took him further into the water, till he was waist-deep in the cold liquid, and after a moment of working himself up to it, he plunged fully under it for a moment, then surfaced, sputtering, "C-cold!"

Worso looked out over the water before he gave a slight nod at what he heard Hadyn say. He wasn't merely looking out over he water but noting the life that lived in its waters. It didn't sound like the human card to dwell in the deep part of the water. If that was so then he could go under for some time and perhaps risk a change if he went really deep. The idea was quite exciting to him or at least one that made him smile faintly. He would definitely enjoy his time here. He was already planning on going as deep as he could or at least look about the bottom as long as he could keep from site when it counted. If he went as far as to loose his human form. The last thing he wanted was to have the human see him. That hadn't changed and he doubt it would He just couldn't risk the human seeing him in a way he was sure wouldn't go off very well and have him cast out and left to perhaps just remain here in the waters if he didn't send someone after him.
Considering that last thought Worso's thoughts briefly wandered before they came to focus again upon hearing Hadyn speak. He was surprised at the question. "You don't have to worry about me." He spoke this, considering that if the human wasn't worried he was just curious. "I'm a very strong swimmer." He couldn't say how exactly. Perhaps he could but he couldn't entirely mention the truth. All he could say was that he had years worth of experience swimming. Considering that he wondered how strong a swimmer this human was. He was about to ask but he saw that Hadyn just proceeded into the water enough to plunge underneath it and come out to state the temperature. That was all he needed towards encouragement to go in himself. He proceeded into the water coming about as deep as Hadyn was before proceeding just a little farther. The water was cold but not enough to bother him. He was quite use to it. He considered right then and there to just go an dive it but reconsidered it for a moment.
"If I disappear for awhile it the water, don't bother looking for me." Worso was trying to think ahead here. The last thing he wanted was the human to worry for him and search for him. No matter how strong a swimmer he was he knew a human could only spend so much time in the water and he didn't want anything to happen that would put the human in danger. With that said Worso moved deeper into the water until he was really able to dive in where he remained and swam just a bit deeper. Even in his human he remain underwater. Resurfacing wasn't necessary when one could breath underneath the water.

Hadyn relaxed, lines of worry on his brow smoothing out and he smiled in relief. The last thing he wanted was for something to happen to Worso. "Oh, good. I...I'm glad to hear that." He walked further out, till the water was at his neck, and turned to look at Worso, kicking off and treading water. "Do you live near the ocean?" Maybe that would explain why Worso was a very good swimmer. Or he took lessons. Maybe he was a swimming racer? Hadyn didn't honestly know if that was what they were called. He swam out a little further, moving fairly slowly; he had only had enough training in swimming to prevent him from drowning. Swimming hadn't ever been one of the things his parents had cared to have him tutored in very much.
He looked up at Worso, blinking. "Oh...um...alright. How long can you stay under for? Just--just so I know..." He needed to know. After all, Worso might be able to hold his breath for a very long time, Hadyn reasoned, and if that was so, then Hadyn shouldn't be panicking for nothing. Hadyn could only hold his breath for at best three minutes--but he rarely swam around underwater, either. He briefly went under to get his hair out of his face, and then resurfaced.

Worso barely noted the words that were spoken to him. One that had him having to come back to the surface to answer. Something that almost didn't answer as he nearly spoke with his mind. He was just far too use to speaking that way. This time he had to speak with his mouth and not his mind. Which is exactly what he did as he resurfaced only to stare in the direction he saw the human to be in. "You could say I live near the water." More like he lived into it. But he couldn't go about saying that. He would just have to go about saying this as best as he could without revealing what he didn't want to or shouldn't when it came to dealing with humans.
Hopefully that was the last bit that they needed to talk about but it seemed Hadyn had one more thing to ask. How was he to answer that. "I can stay under for a long time." He really felt about being curt about this. He found himself just a little perturbed about being held back but when he considered it he could imagine the human just wanted to make sure nothing happened to him and he couldn't possibly continue to feel that way with those thoughts. "If I seem like I'm down there too long don't look for me." He meant it and hoped the human could keep to the surface or at least not try and follow him at any point in time. With that said he mentally sighed before going back underneath the water. Intending to dive a bit deeper this time.

It was obvious that Worso didn't want to talk; he wanted to swim! Hadyn decided to leave him along after he finished his last question, and smiled faintly. "I bet living near the water is nice." He fell quiet, hesitant to agree to that, but eventually nodded. "Okay." He certainly hoped Worso knew what he was doing, but he seemed to. Hadyn supposed that he would just have to take Worso's word for it, and hope that the man knew what he was doing. He watched the teal head disappear under the water and then returned to his own swimming. He was by no means graceful in the water the way Worso was, and he did stay in the shallow areas--mostly. Worso's presence made him feel a little more bold than usual, so he went out a little further than usual, and even went so far as to swim under water for short periods of time.
Eventually he just let himself float on his back, eyes closed and relaxing; he enjoyed the warm sun on his front and cold water on his back, and just let the gentle current carry him; he ended up drifting further out than he meant to, and when he realized it, it came with a start. "Crap," he murmured under his breath. The shore looked a great distance away. With a sigh he started swimming towards the shore. By the time he got there he was panting, tired from the effort and having a hard time keeping his head above the water, and he decided it was time to get out. Panting, he climbed out of the water and went over to one of the large, flat, smooth boulders lining the water and laid down on it.

Worso was glad to finally be under the water for more then just a bit. He scarcely thought about the human more on the surface. He just swam deeper and deeper in his human form. He was still considering whether or not he should change and thought he really shouldn't take the chance still. That meant it was best if he didn't change at all. A rather bothersome thought but having no other choice in the matter, not one without risks, he went with simply swimming as he was. With legs and not a tail. He really preferred the latter but it wasn't an option and as long as he got to swim he supposed he had no room to complain. It was with that thought he found himself simply hovering in the water where he briefly came to a stop. He found his light mauve gaze set to the surface as he considered the human who was up there. He really did hope that he didn't come down here. He realized he never did get to ask how well he could swim and he didn't feel he needed to find out.
Lingering a bit where he was Worso found himself briefly lost in thought. Thinking of his arrival and such. Seeing how he seemed to be fairly lucky so far and didn't want to make himself lose out on anything. Like the fact he had a place with a fairly, well more then fairly, attractive looking human. The last thing he wanted to do was do something that would make the human want him out. He found himself always thinking back to it. He didn't see why he cared so much though. He didn't understand. Even if he found himself cast out by the human he had a source of water to go to. But then he recalled what could happen as well. As long as what he really was did come to be revealed then he was fine. He didn't need any humans trying to get at him. That much he had some common sense for. Though it was really the general thought of being by himself or rather without the somewhat interesting human that had him thinking a bit more on going off on his own. Whether or not it was due to what he was or not. Why wash e even thinking on that though. He had more important things to think on. Like what he would do while he was here. Though he found it a rather pleasant thought to consider just spending his time with this human until he was able to leave.
