"Of course you're good enough. Your cooking is superb.." He paused at the look of horrified acceptance on Kayan's face and moved to stop anymore demeaning thoughts the boy had. "But don't get me wrong! Kayan....when you're in a desperate situation even the most easiest suggestions to make money don't come to you until it's too late. A person just needs the money and there are only a few practical things that come to mind...." He awkwardly rubbed at his back, trying to console him. "You did what you thought was the only thing to survive. And now you won't have to do it. Now you can do what you love and be happy about yourself." For once he allowed himself to touch midnight hair, just to see if it was as soft as it looked. It was and he pulled his hand away before he frightened the boy.

Kayan tensed, flinching away from Light's touch. He felt horribly and terribly dirty all of a sudden. Even more dirty than he had felt in a long time. He turned glaring at Light through tear filled eyes, tears held back by mere pride and will. "Why don't you just F^%$#@* admit I'm a whore and have done with it?" Kayan hissed, using his anger to hide bother his shame and horror. "Why don't you just take me back and leave me on the street? What could you possibly want with me except for a good fuck?"
Kayan suddenly leered, moving in to press himself against Light suddenly all seduction and barely contained anger. It was, after all, the only thing anyone who had shown him any attention thus far had ever wanted from him. Light would be no different. "I can do whatever pleases you my lord. Top, bottom, rough, whips, cuffs and even knives for the right price."

"I'm not a lord," he scowled at what opening his mouth had gotten him. Maybe once the boy accepted they were mates he would want to claim him, but not right now. Not when it would be overlaced with bitterness. He'd lost his balance and fallen back on the bed when Kayan had pressed against him. He moved out from underneath the boy and stood, fixing his robes, his blue cheeks staining dark blue. "And what would please me is for you to quit thinking you're something dirty that has to be used. I already told you what I want, what we are. You just have to believe it." He stopped fiddling with his robes and sighed.
"I'm going to go try and sleep in my chair. Make use of the bed and shower if you need......" He messed with his silver hair, unsure what else he could say. The pain and anger rolling off the boy in waves was putting him on edge. He was tense and scared he'd have another episode. "So...i'll just...i'll go.." And then he walked out the door, moving into the cockpit to sink into his overly large chair, curling up.

Kayan gave a bitter laugh as Light yet again walked out on him. It seemed to be all the other did and seemed to give lie to Light's claim to want to be with him, to want more than just a fuck. But then again... maybe he wanted a rut and not a fuck seeing as he referred to them as mates... animals. Kayan shoved himself of the bed in anger and began to pace, feeling trapped bitter and torn. Finally, not knowing what to do with his restless energy he stormed out the room in search of Light, slamming the door. When he found him, Kayan leant against the door and glared heatedly at Light. "Take me home now." He stated coldly.

So they were back to square one again. Light didn't know how he had degenerated the whole entire situation. With just a few poorly placed words he had made Kayan angry, more than angry-the boy didn't even want to be with him anymore. "I can't," he answered his coldness, hating that he was on the recieving end of the glares shooting from midnight eyes. "The ship will go until it reaches my home. You have to stick with me until we get there. Then I have to refuel and if you still want to go back...i'll....i'll take you home." He kept his back turned, curled against the seat so Kayan didn't have to see how he was hurting him. He didn't want pity, didn't want him to feel bad just because he was in pain.
((Ne, i won't be on today. I have to go with my parents T~T))

"Fine." Kayan snapped turning to leave the room. "Leave me the hell alone and I'm sure we'll manage to survive this confinement you have forced on me." He snapped before simply walking out without a backwards glance, pain coursing through him. Pain he would ignore, even if it killed him.
Kayan gritted his teeth against it breath hissing in. He needed to get away from Light and needed to do it soon if he was to remain sane and even remotely whole. Just being around Light brought all his insecuruties and inadequecies to the fore, making him hate himself and threatening to shatter his control, the control he had thus far survived on, into thousands of shards.

He turned over and watched him go back into the bedroom, the door banging shut with indifferent finalty. Kayan wouldn't even give over to the idea that they were mates. He scorned it and that cut Light deeper than any words he could throw out. Sitting up he touseled silver hair, sighing. This is why he'd needed to get away, to avoid stuff like this that would make his head hurt and the pain course through him. He hated pain and as an empath, picked up on Kayan's, both of theirs mixing to pound around his head in waves. It was horrible and moments later he had to get up and go to the hidden bathroom in the hallway, pushing all sorts of bottles out of his medicine cabinet until he found pain pills. He downed two of them and went to sit again, waiting for the stuff to knock him out. It didn't. It seemed to mock him, a numbness stealing over his system as he sat there, eyes fixed on some distant point out the window.
((*cannot sleep* I'm sorry! I had this sitting on wordpad and I was sure I posted it before yesterday &sighs* Forgive me!!))

kayan was pacing in the room. He had a wealth of restless energy to spare and had no idea what else to do with himself. He couolf feel himself slipping into a well of deprssion and despair and was fighting really hard not to go there. That was a place he REALLY didn;t want to be... a place that held too many dark memories. Kayan had his hands clenched, nails digging into his palms and was avidly chewing on his lp in his efforts to distract himself, in his efforts to keep himself sane. Why was this happening to him? Why now? And why was he such a wreck. Something was drawing him back to seek Light's company, something he desperatlty fought but in the end, unable to resist any longer he exited the room and returned to Light simply staring at the other in silence.

He could feel midnight eyes on him and turned his gaze miserably. "I thought you weren't going to be around me anymore? If it's the view you want to see, give me a few moments, i'll move..." He didn't feel like it. The pills were starting to take their effect, making his eyelids heavy as they dulled what pain he was still feeling.
((Sorry it's so short T~T))

Kayan watched Light in silence for a moment longer before finally admitting gruffly. " I came to find you." He walked into the room scowling at Light before sitting down beside him staring out the window his eyes growing wide in shock and surprise. His breath hissed through pale lips and he turned terrified eyes to Light. "Could you please explain to me what is going on? In terms I can understand." He pleaded, voice begging, shock visible on him. The sight had made him face one of the truths he had been avoiding... the one that they were no longer on earth. He feared that he would be forced to face all the truth's his mind denied and heart confirmed.
((no prob... mine is too.))

"Explain things to you?" He was a bit happier that Kayan had come to find him. He was dismayed that he had taken the pills and would probably drop off into sleep soon. Sitting up he shook silver hair from his eyes. "Alright...i'll try my best. What you see before you is, in fact, space. You are in my ship and we're heading to my home planet-Sensaforia. It's filled with humanoids-or empaths if you want. It's a peaceful planet, we don't like fighting nor do we eat meat." He paused for a second. "Everyone on our planet believes that each person is only born with half of a soul. To be complete, you must find your other half. They're refered to as mates-not in an animal sense...just....I don't know, a word. You, Kayan, are here because i believed, and still do, that you were...are, my mate. I'll not force you into anything, though, and if you want i'llreturn you safely home..."

Kayan scowled, turning to face Light. "I'm your mate?" He enquired in confusion. "That does not make sense. This is not a human system as far as I'm aware. So... assuming you are telling the truth you are basically telling me you are not human and that love, marriage and finding a partner in life for your race is considerably different than that among humans. If that is true then you say you look for the other half of your..." Kayan paused not sure if he was comfortable with the depth of meaning the word held. "soul. But... since this is how your race, species, people, whatever you want to call it works, what does it have to do with me? Since," Kayan continued basically attempting to work through the concept logically. "this exists among your people then it makes perfect sense that... mates among your people should bond but if I am human and it does not work that way among my race, species slash people then does it not logically make sense that I lack the capability to correctly... link? Participate? bond? wed? mate?" Kayan sought the correct word, "with you? It's like asking a fish and lion to join."

Light sighed, trying to see through the argument. It was a good one and he'd have to come up with a good answer. He sat forward and attempted to work it out logically because that was the route Kayan was taking. "Humans are included in this system because they are a part of the peoples in the universe that restlessly searches for thir life-mates....their soulmates I believe they are called on your planet. It's because humans are so tied up in everything else that they do not revolve their culture around loving and sacrificing everything to their mates. They call it marriage or husband and wife, but mate is a much more intimate word. It implies that the couple is willing to stand together through everything and not selfishly try to get out of it when it doesn't suit them. Humans are always unhappy because they care more about money and self image then their families...." He paused for a second to pry open his drooping eyelids.
"It would not be such an alien concept if our people could come to your people and suggest it. However, your people....your...scientists I believe they are called, are too preoccupied with capturing, killing, adn studying aliens and such animals for thei rown morbid fascination. Where do you think your ancestors got the idea of the vampire, the mermaid, fairy, dragon and incubus? Our kind has been taking humans for mates for years, so it is not so strange or rare. just unheard of..." He sat back and crossed his arms.

Kayan frowned, Light's words making strange sense but not making any sense at the same time. "If human's also seek thier sould mates..." Kayan argued carefully. "Surely there would have been at least a few that suceeded... I mean, not all humans are the same. Surely the phenomenon would have manifested somehow... and if this is... if what I feel... this urge, this tugging towards you... if that is part of this seeking of a mate and not some spell I am under then surely there should be 'some' human's that feel the same and... mate? Granted... we do have legends of strange beings but is that not simply a result of the human desire to dream, to seek more than they have? There is no such thing as sacrificing for another. All anyone ever does is take... Only the strongest survive... Natural order of things even in nature itself."

He considered it with a much lighter heart. So...Kayan did feel what he felt. That made it easier to talk to him and understand is confusion. "Of course...I didn't mean to imply that no human succeeds. I don't doubt there are alot of them out there that have found their mates and create families with them. And some have found their mates in people of my planet and the other planets alike. The legends of strange beings would have resulted from sightings of the people from other planets. The human desire and drive would've blown the stories out of proportion, tacked on hidden meanings and desires onto strange people that look different. Sure....i guess it could've come from a humans dreaming......" He stopped at the others words. Light wasn't sure how to answer that.
If Kayan was willing, he would sacrifice everyhting to be with him. "Not....all thing end up that way," he started out slowly. "I would sacrifice. Whether it be my life or limb, I would, just to protect my mate and keep him happy." He locked his sleepy gaze on Kayan. "He'd never want for anything and I'd do anythign he requested. If i must...i would give up everything...."
