Kheiji rattled off the address before making his excuses and hanging up. He really did have to get going, unfortunately, so he left the complex towards his class.
---
Leaning against the low wall while waiting for Lindir, Kheiji let out a breath of frustration. It wasn’t the boy’s fault that his class let out earlier than usual, but now he was bored. Not only that but some of the people from his class were watching him oddly, their thoughts going through his mind. He’d had no idea that he had such a reputation of a loner; that the one time he was waiting for someone a mass onslaught of curiosity pops up.
Worst was, it had been his intention to go through the university without making more contact than need be, and now the idea was biting him back. Tapping his foot in impatience, Kheiji brought his hand up to his face, intent on amusing himself even by the simple means of changing the color of his fingernails.

Lindir checked himself out in a mirror, making sure everything was perfect. Well, as perfect as he could be while trying to be in disguise. He had his hair trapped under one of Toby's green baseball caps, so it looked like he had short hair, and was wearing some dark sunglasses. He also had on some baggy jeans and a green tank top and a button up shirt with green, black, and white stripes. The boy was happy when he found the shirt because it matched that clothe Kheiji gave him. How cool was that? Since he couldn't tie them in his hair, he wrapped them around his neck as a scarf.
If he didn't know he was himself, he wouldn't know he was him! Lindir tapped his chin, thinking over that thought. He shrugged. Now all he had to do was sneak out of the hotel without getting caught. The University wasn't really that far away. At least... he didn't think so. He checked the address again and nodded to himself like he knew what he was doing.
~*~
Twenty minutes later he was wandering around without a clue as to where he was. This was a really stupid idea. He was supposed to meet Kheiji five minutes ago. I could always try that thought thing.... Kheiji said it doesn't work if he's too far, but if he's waiting for me he's probably thinking about me, right? Kheiji, he thought as softly as he could, but also loud enough that he would be noticed. Kheiji I'm lost! he thought-whined.

Kheiji frowned as he felt a thought grasping at his mind. Glancing around and sliding down to sit on the concrete, he cast out a thought tendril towards the area it was coming from. There: Kheiji I’m lost! Kheiji withheld a wince, recognizing the mind at that statement.
Standing, Kheiji picked up his books, turning towards where Lindir was. ‘What street are you at? And find somewhere to sit still but won’t look bad.’ Kheiji started walking that way, idly wondering just how Lindir had gotten lost when it was easy once he’d gotten the directions. Well. Kheiji hoped the boy had gotten directions, but if he didn’t then he’d have a good laugh about it if nothing else.

Lindir pulled the cap further down his face. I don't know. He looked around for a street sign. I can't read Japanese.... Oh wait, there's English. Um, I can't... pronounce it. It's starts with an 'O', he thought uncertainly.
The teen glanced behind him, feeling like he was being watched. He didn't see anyone.... Kheiji, are you following me? he asked hopefully.

‘I am heading towards you, why, are you being followed?’ Stupid question, Kheiji realized, so he quickened his pace. 'Lindir, can you look at the area you are in closely so I can see it?’
It took a minute, but an image came in, and Kheiji nodded to himself, running into an alleyway to drop his books in a hidden area. Seconds later an adult greyhound was sprinting towards that area, dodging people in the way. In his mind Kheiji was heading towards the fastest rout to the Gojo Eki. ‘Walk around the train station, a dog will be coming in from the connecting street east.’

Train station, train station. Lindir looked around for the train station, it was hard to miss. He walked over to it, keeping an eye out for anyone acting strange. He wandered around the station and pretended to be looking at the times. After a few minutes he saw a dog sitting towards his right. It was near the east street so his thoughts immediately went to Kheiji.
He ran up to the little black dog and knealed in front of it. "Kheiji, I'm so happy to see you!" he grinned. When the dog yipped and started licking his face, the boy realized this dog wasn't Kheiji. His friend wouldn't lick his face like that. But this dog, who was really a dog, was licking his face a lot. He giggled. "Down boy, stop it," he cooed.
He scratched the dog's ears when he calmed down. Lindir noticed something out of the corner of his eye. A big, skinny dog running towards him quickly. That must be the real Kheiji. He stood up and walked towards him. The black dog followed him, but he didn't realize it at first. Kheiji, that's really you, right? he asked.

Running across the overpass walk and down the steps, Kheiji finally caught sight of Lindir. Huffing, he leapt, coming to a sharp halt in front of the disguised singer. When he heard the question, he let out a woof before grabbing the boy by the jeans and leading him towards another alley.
Transforming quickly, Kheiji ran his hand through his hair, smirking at the awkward grin that Lindir had on his face. Then, he noticed the dog that sat at the mouth of the alleyway, staring at them with big brown eyes. He sniffed at it; a common mutt that was begging his Lindir for attention. “You should tell the dog to leave before it gets more attached than it already is. Besides, we should get going, especially before people recognize you despite your disguise.

"Aww... but he's so cute!" Lindir pouted, glancing at the dog. The dog yipped and ran down the alleyway. He skidded to a stop by his new favorite human's feet, and growled at Kheiji a moment before looking up at Lindir cutely. The brunette giggled and patted the dog's head lightly. "I don't think he likes you, though," he laughed.
"I thought my disguise was good!" he pouted, but then shrugged it off. "I can't believe I got lost. Oh well, at least you found me!" he grinned. He gasped quietly and picked up the dog. "Hey! Can you talk to him?" he asked excitedly. "You turned into a dog, does that mean you can talk to dogs too?" he asked as the dog started licking his face again.

Kheiji scowled at the dog; it was lapping everything up. “He doesn’t like me because I still smell like a dog that’s superior to him.” Sighing as the singer started to get attached, he searched the dog’s mind for it’s recent history. “He has an owner; a female a bit older than you. And while I’m sure you want to play hero and take the dog home, I must object. The dog will be found soon; we’re right by the station, so she probably went in to purchase a ticket card.”
“You did, but anyone who has had a good look at you won’t be fooled.” He thought about the other question before responding. “Well… not really. Do you remember what I had said about mindspeaking? I can think in a fashion of the animal’s mind process, but when it comes down to it, the animal’s minds are not as sophisticated as humans. I also cannot actually speak a ‘dog language’ as there is no such thing.”
Starting to walk back towards the station, he sighed. “It’s more like… animals communicate on a different level, so I can’t talk with the dog as I would a human. It’s not the same thing.”

"Oh," Lindir said softly. He always thought animals could like humans but... in their own language. That must be from watching too much TV, though. He followed Kheiji back to the station.
"Benji!" a girl's voice rang clear through the crowd. The dog in Lindir's arm barked, licked Lindir's face one last time, and then jumped out of his arms to run to his owner- whom he remembered was his first favorite human.
The brunette straightend his sunglasses and cap, not noticing when a few strands fell free. He grinned when the girl seemed happy to her dog. "Dogs are so cute. I wish I had a dog," he told Kheiji. "Eep, I have fur all over me now," he grumbled and brushed himself off. He looked up at his friend. "That dog you were, that was a greyhound, right?" he asked. "I feel so bad for those dogs when people make them race and stuff."

Kheiji said nothing, just shrugging as he lead the way inside. It was a matter of opinion really. It was cruel that some people used the dogs for money, yes, but at the same time the dogs were doing what they loved to do, whether they’d been bred into it or not, and majority of the dog owners kept their pets content and happy at minimum.
When he got to the ticket counter, Kheiji quickly paid for a ticket each, ushering Lindir inside and to a corner of the train. “Sit down, and if you can, stay still okay?” Projecting outwards, he made it seem like there was less room surrounding him and Lindir than there actually was before sitting down with a sigh, keeping one eye on the tendril and the other on what was going on. “Sorry, but as you’ll see in a few minutes, the shinkensan will be pretty much stuffed with people. You probably get so little space in public as it is, but this can either make or break claustrophobia.”

"Whoa...," Lindir mumbled, scooting closer to Kheiji unconsciously. "That's cool how you can do so many things," he said softly. He wanted to take off his sunglasses now, but he didn't want to move too much because Kheiji said not to. Even though he had already moved... he hadn't really noticed then.
"Thank you," he said softly. "I will definately appreciate this. Sometimes fans can be a little crazy. I love them, that's true, but not everyone is sane when they meet famous people." He paused a moment. "Can we move once the train does? Or do you have to keep this... thing up the whole time?" he asked.

“You can move a bit if you want, make yourself comfortable, but don’t get up and move around. I’m keeping this up so that there will be room, so people will not move to fill in the space.” Looking around as people were practically on top of each other, Kheiji brought his feet up on the seat. “If you want to walk around and see what it’s like, I’ll be here. But remember, these trains are to go places, not for comfort, so you won’t find a snack cart or anything.”
That said, Kheiji closed his eyes and deepened his breathing to calm his mind. The stray thoughts were giving him a slight headache. Not much, but noticeable nonetheless. Still, Lindir was more priority at the moment, no matter how much he was sure the other would protest special treatment.

Lindir was fine just sitting next to Kheiji. If he walked around he was sure he would get lost. He got lost going to the University, and he had directions then- he didn't have directions for the train. Well, he did have to memorize the directions to find where Kheiji was, but that wasn't the point. The point was... he was fine just sitting there.
He glanced up at Kheiji, ready to ask him some more questions, but stopped himself. The other guy had his eyes closed and was breathing deeply. It didn't look like he wanted to be disturbed at the moment, so Lindir just looked ouside and waited for their stop.

A while later, Kheiji let go of his probe and opened his eyes to find a quiet Lindir leaning half against his side, half against the window the boy was staring out of. Looking up as the in-com came on, announcing that the train had stopped, Kheiji nudged the singer with his forearm. “Come on, it’s just a bit of a walk from here.”
Standing, he waited for Lindir to stand, tugging the brunet’s horsetail back into place before leading the other out of the train. The station was crowded, which was to be expected, so the Dragonis made sure to keep a hand on the other’s arm. As soon as they were away from the crowd of the station, he sat down at a bench.
“There aren’t many ways to get there. I usually fly there, but that’s obviously not an option. So I was wondering if you wished to walk until I can transform into something large enough to carry you, or take a bus until such a time?”
