Lindir nodded, studying the card. Before Kheiji could leave he ran up to him and hugged him. Don't leave the planet without saying bye, he thought-told him. He was starting to like this thought-speaking thing. "Bye, Kheiji," he said outloud.

Staring down at the brunet, Kheiji finally nodded his acquisition with a sigh before pulling away. It would take at least two weeks to put Takara’s affairs in order anyway, and who knew what could happen in that time.
Shutting the door behind him, Kheiji turned in to a cat after checking that no one was in distance before bounding off. He stopped at the stage, garnering some more looks as he checked to see where Lindir’s female bearer was. The least he could do was scratch her, and it would take some frustration off, hypocritical as it may be.

Lindir smiled, happy with the nod. He turned back to Toby and stared at him curiously. "Um.... I wanted to say sorry. For earlier. I'm your friend, I shouldn't have been so hard on you. I was just worried. Not everyone has good intentions, afterall. And that guy is kind of strange," he said.
Lindir grinned and he hugged his friend tightly. "It's okay Toby. I understand. But Kheiji really is very nice, he would never hurt me!" he assured him. His friend sighed, but nodded. It was true the stranger hadn't shown any signs of hurting his friend, but he was still strange.

To Kheiji's luck, Lindir's mom was backstage, but visible to the stage. She was talking to one of the security guards about letting strange people behind stage, because she somehow found out Kheiji had been with her son. How did she know? Who knows, she's a mother. It's her job no matter how stupid she is.

Sauntering up to the guard and woman, Kheiji let out a rather pathetic sounding meow to get their attention. They were talking about him, the woman asking how he’d gotten back there and the fact that, after he’d been found backstage before the concert he should have been stopped. They stopped their conversations, however, to look down on him.
A moment later he was being patted, purring erupting from his chest. He rubbed his head against the hands, and, a moment later, bit said hand hard with a hiss. It was terribly like male half tabby cats that are content one minute and spitting the nest, as he bounded off, he felt horribly amused.
-----------
Walking out of the bathroom and toweling of his hair, Kheiji sat down at the computer, bringing up the files for one ‘Miyageshi, Takara’. He started filling in the information for a transfer, clicking the send button and repeating the process with a sigh.

Lindir studied the little card in his hands the day after his concert. He was sitting on his bed at the hotel the next day, in his pajamas. It was really just an old really big shirt. The time was 11:45am, and he had just woken up. He didn't have to do anything today, so it was fine.
The teen smirked when he remembered what happend last night. His mom had complained about how some stray cat had walked up to her, acting all sweet, and then the next moment was attacking her. Well, actually he just bit her hand. Lindir had good reason to believe that that cat had been Kheiji, and it amused him.
He bit his lip lightly before reaching for the phone; he grabbed the cloth Kheiji gave him the day before for his hair and placed them on his lap. They was really pretty, he loved them. After another few minutes of hesitation he punched in the numbers on the card. After a moment some one answered. "Kheiji! It's me! Um... Lindir," he said brightly.

Startled at the interruption, Kheiji glanced at the phone, wondering whether to pick it up or not. Finally, with a put upon sigh, he reached over and grabbed the phone, hearing Lindir’s exclamations before he even brought it up to his ear. Well, that changed things a bit.
“I surmised, as not many people call me Kheiji at the moment and you have a rather distinctive voice.” Standing up, he searched around the room for a cordless phone, clicking it on when he found it and hanging up the other before sprawling on his bed. “Is there a reason you called?”

"Of course! Uumm," he trailed off. "I wanted to say hi," he decided. "Hi! Oh, and my mom doesn't like cats anymore. She had the security police people search for all the stray cats around the amphitheater. They didn't find any," Lindir told him, laughing lightly. "Oh, and Toby doesn't hate you anymore. But he does want to know how you dyed your hair so quickly. And I would like to know how you did that as well! Does it have to with being able to change into cats and rocks and otters?" he asked.

Kheiji blinked at the long winded onslaught, shaking his head in amusement. “I am glad that I accomplished my mission, she should have alerted the animal shelter authorities, as they’d be able to do a more thorough search than the security, though I doubt they’d find much either. It’s good that Toby’s grudge has abided, probably makes things easier for you, and you can just tell him ‘no’.”
Kheiji paused as the last statement kicked in. “Lindir, why are you asking this when I changed hairstyles right next to you? Or were you having such an affair with your soda that you forgot all about me right then?”

Lindir shook his head, and then realized Kheiji could not see him. "No! I noticed you change your hair, but I was just wondering how you could do that. I certainly can't change my hair color on a whim. That would be awesome though," he said thoughtfully. He started playing with the cloth. He wondered why the other male would give them to him. Did he want them back? They were cool. He wondered, too, if Kheiji could hear his thoughts when they were on the phone.

Kheiji shrugged, “I really don’t notice it much anymore, it’s become second nature. When I was a child, there was a system that we had to go through. Mindspeak was to understand what we were turning into, and just for the fact of speaking mind to mind. After we understood what the animal, we had to turn into it. It was a slow process, though. Turning into a humanoid, however, was a totally different aspect.”
“I have what’s called our ‘humanoid form’. It’s a form we are born with that mirrors our Dragonis form. However, my Dragon side had it complicated. One of the first things that I learned was how to turn my talons into human hands, because the way one of my ancestors learned was by doing that in order to sew something for his half human sister. Human hands accomplish much, so I went from there. Is it any wonder that I don’t really think about it unless I’m showing off?”
Kheiji rolled onto his stomach, idly toying with the clothe that the sheets were made of. These were something he’d keep. One hundred percent Egyptian cotton; ninety thread. “Anyway, I’m honestly not sure about if you can change your hair color like that. When I change it, I’m actually changing it; root pigments and everything. It would be an interesting topic to pursue though, instantaneous hair color changing.”

Lindir listened to Kheiji's explanation intently. His people were so interesting. He wished he could change into a dragon. Or at least a bird or something. Even just changing his appearance without having to use smelly dye and make-up would be amazing.
"Wow.... Your people are so cool, Kheiji," he said softly. "Oh, and the only way I could change my hair color is with dye."

Since it would be impolite to laugh and say ‘I knew that’, Kheiji didn’t, instead just letting out a hum of agreement. “As I’d forgotten to ask earlier, how was your mother after the concert? Well,” Kheiji paused, a slightly feral grin overtaking his face. “before a young cat changed it’s opinion.”
Sitting up, Kheiji grabbed one of the mini computer things, pulling up a calendar. “What day are you leaving for you’re tour? Because you had said that I can’t leave the planet without a good bye, but wouldn’t you be leaving the city before that? So we should schedule something.”

"I leave in a couple days," Lindir answered softly. "We can do something today," he grinned. "I'm not doing anything, and if you're free... that would be cool. And I haven't really talked to my since... since before the concert," he said after a short pause. "She was too busy complaining to security last night to talk to me," he laughed.

Pursing his lips, Kheiji thought of what they could do. “Well, I’m free just after one thirty. If you can be at the University campus around then we can… Oh, do something or other. Oh, I can take you to the ship, show you some pictures and other things from the Main Planets.”
Kheiji nodded to himself; that would be a good idea. They could decide what more to do later on, but definitely a dinner. “Does that sound okay or were you thinking of something else?”

Lindir was silent for a whole minute before he spoke up, his voice full of wonderment. "Y-you'll take me to the ship?" he asked. He grinned. "Awesome! I mean, that sounds wonderful. I would love to see the pictures. And then we can just talk and stuff, too right? That would be wonderful. Where's the University?" he asked.
