Kheiji took the ticket, nodding to the last question. “I vaguely know where it is. If nothing else, I can get directions.” Reaching over, he tugged on the brunets’ horsetail. “As for the other question, I should probably explain later, right? It might be a tad long winded, and you should get going.”
Pocketing the ticket, he eyed Toby first before looking back at Lindir. “I’ll probably be there before any major crowding, so if you really wish to we can talk before the concert as well. Cat’s are not too uncommon after all.” Yeah, a cat… and maybe acid green hair to freak people out.

Lindir tilted his head, thinking that over for a moment before grinning. "Yeah, okay!" he said excitedly. Did this mean he was going to be able to see cat-Kheiji?? Cool! "I'll meet you sometime before the show starts then, okay? Bye Kheiji!"
Meanwhile, Toby was giving the guy weird looks. 'Cats are not too uncommon after all'?? This guy is crazy... he thought, sighing mentally. At least they wouldn't be seeing him too much after the concert. Hopefully. "Okay, let's go. The guys are waiting for us," he said. He hurriedly ushered his friend away from the stranger. Lindir waved at Kheiji as he walked away. He couldn't wait until the concert! Well, more before the concert, actually.

Kheiji waited for them to get out of both sight and earshot before shifting; a moment later nothing was in the warded clearing but a bird feather. It didn’t take him long to reach his studio, and minutes after that he was raiding his closet for something that would suit a concert. He should have asked what kind of music they played… it was too late for questions.
Blowing out a frustrated breath (Most of the clothes in the closet were suited to fit the lifestyle of ‘Takara’, his current identity as a sixth year University student.) Kheiji turned heel to the storage closet. Maybe another planet’s style clothing would fit in? If nothing else, Lindir would enjoy knowing it’s origin… that decided, Kheiji took out a newer styled outfit from Zerca, before going to shower. He briefly contemplated (AKA stopped in the middle of the hall in befuddlement,) why he was going out of his way for the boy when he wasn’t his mate, but shrugged the thought off.
Two hours later he was handing the ticket in, his hair a shocking acid green color. Checking the amphitheatre for people, and unsurprised to find only a couple dozen, he looked and read around for Lindir. The brunet was hoping to see him before the concert, and no doubt wanted to see him shapeshift from a cat as he’d implied, but now, hours later, he was beginning to think that just transforming into a cat would be the easiest way backstage. Which was why a moment later a Bombay cat was running alongside the stage towards the dressing rooms.

Around the same time a few people were pointing in amusement at a cat running across stage and disappearing backstage, Lindir was in his dressing room applying cover up to his face. The brunette tilted his head slightly. You couldn't see the red mark anymore, and you could only see the cover up if you were up close or looking for it, or both. His eyes were still a little puffy, but all he would have to do is wait a few minutes. The concert wasn't supposed to start for a little while anyway.
Lindir moved across his small dressing room to the couch that was in there. He flopped down on it, sighing wearily. His mother hadn't been happy about him talking to Kheiji. She accused the guy of being some creepy stalker, and became angrier when he talked back. The woman had slapped him kind of hard too. When he started crying she ordered him to stop and get ready for the show.
It took him a few minutes to stop crying. He wasn't only upset over that fight, but all the fights he had with his parents. Lindir shook his head, trying to ignore that. He stood up again and looked at himself in the full length mirror. He was wearing a white jacket with black along the collar and zipper, and a pair of nice fitting jeans. It looked nice. He sighed quietly, still feeling a little depressed.
He groaned. This was not the way to get ready for a show! The teen turned quickly when he heard the slightly open door creak open. A cat with big yellow-gold eyes was peeking in. The black cat was adorable! A thought popped up in his mind. Cats are not too uncommon after all.
"K-Kheiji?" he asked quietly, uncertainly. It could have just been a normal cat afterall.

Following Lindir’s mind through the hallways, Kheiji frowned internally as distorted thoughts ran through his mind. Nothing concrete, but the dejected sadness and vague anger made him go into a trot. Finally coming on a door, he pushed it open, already knowing that Lindir was inside.
Sitting in front of the doorjamb, Kheiji looked up at Lindir with growing amusement. Well. Yes, he’d been able to guess that he would be called cute or something similar, but to hear it was something else. Baring a fang when it dawned on the boy, Kheiji nodded and morphed back into his humanoid form, leaning against the now door with his hip.
Just as Kheiji opened his mouth to say something (shocking, no doubt), he noticed the irritated rim around Lindir’s eyes. “You’ve been crying…” the green haired male walked up to the shorter boy, grasping his chin in one hand. The thought imprints he’d caught; Kheiji’s eyes narrowed, and he tasted the air. Yes, crying. Salt was still thick in the air, as well as a metallic tang. They’d hurt something of his, circumstances of no matter. Pursing his lips and restraining himself from seeing the problem directly from Lindir’s memories, he abruptly sat on the floor, dragging the singer down with him. “And you are hurt. Tell me.”

Kheiji had green hair! Lindir was about to comment on it, when his friend spoke up first. "You've been crying...," he said. He tried to look away, but Kheiji held onto his chin so it was impossible. There was a pause, in which the singer tried to act like nothing was wrong. "And you are hurt. Tell me." It wasn't a request, either, he decided as he was pulled to the floor.
Lindir shrugged nonchalantly. "It really isn't...," he trailed off at the older male's look. Seemed like he wasn't going to fall for that. He sighed softly, looking away. "My mom got angry with me because she thinks I did something stupid, but it's okay. I know that's just her way of saying she cares about me, was worried about. It's okay. I'm really not that hurt, you know. She can't hurt much just before a show. How stupid would that be?" he muttered, talking quickly the whole time.

Kheiji glowered as Lindir started talking. They’d dare hurt something of their own? It was inexcusable. Sure, he wasn’t Zercan, where mates and children were their purpose, but even his family had never harmed him for the sake of harming. Even in Jeskara, most of the time the hurt was for survival. He bit back a growl, instead thinking of something to reply with.
“Did she even ask what you thought of it? Because otherwise that wouldn’t be caring, but a total disrespect of opinion. And you say ‘before a show;’ are you implying that she’s done worse than just hit you?” He brushed a finger across the thicker area of Lindir’s face, frowning at the slight flinch. At times like now he wished he were a wizard, to have the magic in order to heal him.
“She didn’t, did she?” Standing up with Lindir in tow, Kheiji checked the other over, straightening Lindir’s clothes as he did so. Taking a clothe tie from a pocket, he motioned the brunet to turn around, getting the brush as he did so. A few moments later it was held back between the shoulder blades, keeping the hair back but still flowing around his face and neck with the two tails of the black, green, and white yellow clothe falling with it.
“You’ll just have to make an impression then. Keep your head high and don’t let think she’s altered what your opinion of me is. Of course,” Kheiji paused, pushing a strand of hair behind his ear, as he turned Lindir back around “you don’t want to rub it in her face, as that would be counter productive.”
Grabbing the cover up, he put on a light recoat where he’d brushed it off. “Now, what time do you have to be out there?”

"Oh, not for another...," Lindir started, glancing at the small clock on the wall. His eyes widened. "Ten minutes! Oh, we've been talking longer than I thought!" The teen hugged Kheiji lightly and kissed his cheek. "Thank you so much Kheiji," he said softly. "For everything... the talking, this pretty hair-thing... and mostly just for coming here," he smiled.
"Lindir, we're on in eight minutes!" Toby said, walking into the room. "Get- What?! How did you get back here?" he asked Kheiji.
"I told the security dude to let him in!" the brunette grinned.
"Well... he should be getting out to his seat soon," his friend told him. "Do you want me to help him while you finish any last many things?"
"Nope, I'm good. Kheiji was helping me," he smiled.
Toby nodded and glanced at his watch. "Five minutes! Come on, come on," he said hurriedly. "Um, you know the way back out?" he asked Kheiji.

Raising an eyebrow at the rushed motions, Kheiji nodded. “I got here, did I not?” Nodding at Lindir, he turned and left the room. He was surprised at how many people were there in comparison to earlier, but shrugged it off, instead leaning against he wall waiting.
He didn’t have to wait long, seeing Lindir and Toby coming onto the stage moments later. Kheiji frowned slightly as he heard Lindir mulling over Toby berating the boy, connecting his thoughts to the other. ‘Head up, Chukaree.’

Lindir smiled slightly when he heard Kheiji's voice in his head. 'Head up, Chukaree.' The teen lifted his chin up and after a moment Toby realized his friend didn't care much for his opinion at the moment, so became quiet. They were needed on stage anyway.
The show went really well. He was surprised, as always, at how many people were there. Kheiji, with his acid green hair, stood out. Or maybe it was just because he was looking for him? Lindir even dedicated a song to his 'out of this world new friend'. People would just think he thought highly of the guy, but Lindir thought it would be easy for Kheiji to realize whom he was talking about, and at the same time it made him not sound gay.
After a lot of autographing and talking to fans, Lindir found himself in his dressing room. His mother had spoken to him after the show about dedicating that song to Kheiji, but held his head high like he was advised and that seemed to make her back off. As he sipped some Coke, he was grinning excitedly. He wondered if Kheiji would visit him. Kheiji, Kheiji!he thought. Kheiji, are you going to visit me? ...Can you hear me?

Heading out of the bathrooms as a cat after the concert, Kheiji concentrated on Lindir, unsurprised to find him going over the concert in his head. It had been a good concert, in Kheiji’s opinion, better than he’d been expecting if he were being truthful. Nudging his way back into the dressing room, Kheiji sat and watched the boy. Then, he winced, large ears flicking back as Lindir projected exclamations at him.
Jumping onto the chair opposite and shifting back, Kheiji shot Lindir a look. “You did not have to be so loud.” Stealing the can and almost taking a sip before he wrinkled his nose and put it back on the table. Thirsty or not, he’d need to be starved for liquid to drink that concoction.
Concentrating, he changed his hair back to the standard black that it had been a few hours previous. “Then again, if I hadn’t been listening then it would have only grabbed my attention.”

"Really? You heard me?" Lindir grinned. He noticed how Kheiji made a face when he was about to drink his Coke. "Would you like something to drink?" he asked. "There's a mini fridge in here. I have water and lemonade," he offered.

“Yes, I heard you. Then again, most non-mindspeakers do not realize exactly how loud they think.” Casting the fridge a glance, Kheiji was about to shake his head before nodding, getting up, and grabbing a bottle of water, downing almost a third. “Then again, had I left I might not have heard you if my attention was elsewhere.”
Tilting his head to the side, he glanced at the door. “Your friend is deciding whether to come in here.”

"Oh," was all Lindir could say to that. "Huh? Who? Toby?" he asked. He got up quickly and peeked outside the door. Sure enough, Toby was standing by the door looking like he was thinking hard about something.
The boy looked up when the door opened. "L-Lindir, hey," he said softly.
The brunette smiled. "Hey Toby," he said, opening the door more for his friend to step in.
"You're here again?" Toby asked when he saw Kheiji. "And... wha- Were you wearing a wig earlier or something?" he asked, very confused about everything.

Kheiji smirked in amusement at the other’s startled thoughts. “No.” He didn’t say anything more. No, he was not wearing a wig. No, he wouldn’t tell the other, as the other really didn’t want to know.
Standing and grabbing his wallet from a pocket, he rifled through the business cards there. Might as well give one to Lindir. “I should go. There’s a class tomorrow, and you are no doubt exhausted as well.” Kheiji handed one of ‘Takara’s’ to Lindir and made for the door, ‘You can call sometime.’
