Animal I Have Become... (Chase/Dalian)

Chase was silent for a moment before suggesting, "Tonight then?"

"Tonight works." Dalian spoke with a nod. He did note he didn't answer his question but maybe he just couldn't say or it was his fault. He tried not to think about it, he just would try not to get in his way but not to the point of leaving the house. "Can we go back inside?" He started forward but stopped to see if his mate would come along.

Chase gripped his hand. "I've never been good at sleeping, mate. I fear I work too much. It has... little to do with you."

His mate seemed to read him like a book, he really had been worried. "I don't suppose you'll be getting more rest with me around." They talked about this before, he had asked if he would be too busy for him. No matter what his mates response was he pulled him along gently towards the house. He loved being outside but he wanted to go inside again.

"Just so you know, my time will be more open now that I have you. My case loads will be significantly shorter so I can give you the proper amount of attention," he said as he held the door open for the man to proceed him.

Dalian walked into their home listening while his mate spoke. It was really a relief to hear he wouldn't let work take him away. Though he had said something of the sort earlier it seemed such a long time ago, before they had their little argument and he kind of stormed out upset.

He stopped a few steps in waiting for his mate now. "Thank you for telling me." He spoke with a smile and a nod. Now what could he do from here. He had made them something to eat already and it seemed so much had happened today. He was honestly just tuckered out. Maybe a little nap was in order after he got cleaned up.

"I think I'll go take a bath...would you be interested in joining me?" It was a bit bold of him but the words popped up and he spoke them before he could stop. Oh well ,he was his mate it was alright.

Chase's eyebrows shot up and it took him a moment to answer. "I... don't believe I could see your lovely body bare and control myself. So unless you're ready for me to touch you with my mouth, tongue and body them I'd better not."

Dalian was sure he felt himself blush from head to toe when he heard his mates description. "Oh..." He was kind of speechless. It wasn't weird that the thought of his mate touching him got him a little heated in more ways than one, right? Getting a little aroused at the image was natural. "I don't think I'm quite ready for that." As much as his body suddenly seemed to yearn for his mates touch he mentally wasn't sure of himself.

"So I'll see you in fifteen or so minutes." That's how long his bath would take. "Where will I find you then?" Should he meet him in his bedroom because he would dress and then go to rest.
