Chase Huntington stared at the ad his long time friend had posted in the digi Scrijnx City Times at his request. He was seeking a housekeeper, a cook and an errand boy all in one. A jack of all trades, so to speak. And one that could work in the darkness of his family home he had locked himself away in a year before. He knew that this was a tall order that not many could cope with but he was prepared to pay handsomely for their work and their silence when it came to his appearance and the happenings in his household.
Having been a part of the Zercan Military since boyhood, he had skipped through the ranks until he has found himself at the highest level of the military and the most secretive. He had killed for King and country and had saved billions in the process the latter fact alone helping him to cope with the guilt of the deeds he had done. But he knew as a result that no Universe or higher power would ever give him the gift of a mate. A creature such as him did not deserve such especially since he was still very much in the game if only as a handler and director of missions from the safety and shadow of his house.
He had been asked many times by old acquaintances why he did not simply use a medi-tech to reconstruct his face and live normally once more and had often wondered why it wasn’t as easy as that himself. Unfortunately the answer was not all that glamorous but a matter of blood type and waiting for someone with the same rare blood type to die so the flesh could be donated. After all, not everyone’s body was compatible with nano created skin. All the same, he knew what he looked like and would take pains to spare his friends and acquaintances. But bring someone unused to home-life, he was at a loss for cooking, hated cleaning and running errands seemed impossible if he hoped to keep his face hidden.
No, he needed someone immediately and if he had any luck at all the ad Van places would bring him just who he needed..

Dalian had not long arrived on the planet Zerca and he knew right away he had to find a way to get by. He actually wasn't sure where to start not knowing anyone on the planet. At least back on Parenenai he had family but here he was lost. Fortunately he was the type of person that liked to plan things so he calmed himself and figured out some kind of schedule. He needed a place to live but first he needed some kind of income. It just seemed common sense to check the wanted ads so that was his first stop.
What kind of job could he do with his experience. He knew how to do a lot of things but nothing really professional. His previous job didn't really leave a chance to contact any references. He had worked on a trade ship before, his only job really helping them to navigate through rough weather by altering the weather entirely.
"I guess it doesn't hurt to try something new." He muttered to himself while looking through what he read was the digi Scrijnx City Times., He looked and looked but one in particular struck his fancy or at least piqued his interest. It sounded like a high paying job but he couldn't tell if it was a live in sort of thing or not.It certainly seemed like it would require a lot on his part. He already made a decision though, he would see about the job and hope for the best.,
Stopping only to grab a bite to eat he went to the location posted in the ad. He wondered who he'd have to talk to to see about this job. There would probably be an interview too, he was nervous but he was sure he could handle this. It wasn't too long before he found himself in front of a large home. This would be where his employer worked. He just paused to take a deep breath before going up to the door and knocking. Whoever this person was he hoped he'd be easy to get along with.

"Go get the door. You placed the damn ad, you deal with the people," Chase grumbled, shoving his best friend toward the door.
Van laughed. "How're you going to communicate with whomever I hire? Call me everytime you need something?"
"Dealing with one person is remarkably different than however many -" the doorbell interrupted him. "Go!"
Van sighed and headed downstairs. Opening the door, he smiled at the cute little fairy. "Hey. You here about the ad?"

The moment the door opened Delian was smiling up at who he assumed was the man who lived here. "Yes, I saw the ad and I was hoping the position was still open."
How did he look now? Dalian had come straight to the place posted in the ad but he hadn't taken his own appearance into account. Zercans had nothing against fairies, right? He tried to cover up what he was with the brown cloak he had on now, it covered his translucent rainbow colored wings. Somehow people always figured out what he was probably because his wings peeked out a bit. Then it made him wonder why he bothered but he'd brush off the thought just like that. Right now all he had on him now was the large pack on his back. He should have changed before coming here to look more presentable.
"Is the position still open? I can certainly do all the things posted in the ad."

"Come inside," Van led the fae inside and through the shadowed household to the sitting room. "My friend, the owner of this house requires a housekeeper to cook, run errands and clean. You must be willing to work mostly in shadow and sign a document stating that anything that you see, is spoken or written in this house will not be shared with anyone outside this household. The fact that you're a fae works out to your advantage. Your kind can create artificial light, correct?"

Dalian hurried inside without being told twice. He turned to face the man that welcomed him inside the moment they stopped. "That's not a problem." So this guy wasn't the owner. What kind of secret did this guy have that he wanted to keep? "Oh, yes we can." He figured he knew what he was even with his cloak.
"As I said before I can definitely handle that and if you or rather the owner here wants me to I can use that ability." He wasn't sure what he'd want him to use it for but he could definitely do it.

"The house is mostly dark, it'll be convenient if you can use that glow to complete tasks without using the lights," he explained as he pulled out a document. "The pay is 300,000 credits yearly. The job is live in 6 days a week. Sundays are your own. Agreed?"

The job paid well and it gave him a place to stay. He may just get one day to himself but that was a lot better than nothing. "Yeah that's fine, I agree to all the terms." He was lucky to have that ability or he'd be in the dark the whole time. It was awfully weird to hear about the lights but who was he to complain if he got hired and paid. "I just have to sign then right? Do I start right away?" He was hoping he did so he would have a place to sleep tonight.

"Absolutely," he handed over the document for the fae to read. "The fridge is fully stocked and there is a menu on the counter. You will serve it as listed and settle it on the breakfast table. Other than that, I'll lead you to your room and take your com infortmation for your payment. When you're in your suite you may use lights or whatever you wish. It's your rooms."

Dalian took the paper and started to read over it. He heard a few of the questions he had in mind answered then. He was curious about what he would be cooking and if the owner had a certain diet. He figured he had to be some sickly old guy now. "How exactly will I be serving the meals...I mean will I see my employer or will you always be around." If this guy would be around then what was the point of having him?
"And I don't need a uniform, right?" In the dark it shouldn't matter what he was wearing. "Everything so far seems fine to me." He spoke after reading the document. Now he waited to follow the man along to his room. "Oh, my name its Dalian Marigold, I uh...know could read it off my signature but it seems more appropriate to verbally tell you my name." He was surprised he wasn't asked it. He wasn't a bad guy, he could be trusted but he didn't expect this guy to trust just anyone.

"When you walked in the house the house A.I. scanned you and sent your known information to my com. I know your name and where you're from. As for Mr. Huntington, you will place his meals in the breakfast room and leave it for him, picking up the dishes later. As it is dark he may not avoid you just not come close enough for your light to touch him. Either way, you've accepted the contract and signed it. You'll have a more detailed discussion tonight with your employer in the sitting room. Do not, under any circumstances attempt to view his face without permission." That said he showed the boy the room. "At precisely four meet Mr. Huntington." With that he was gone.

"Ah, right." Dalian supposed introductions weren't needed then. He had nothing to say but nod until he was left alone. The moment hw was by himself he gave a little sigh, placing his pack on the floor beside the bed. What time was it now? Did he have time to get cleaned up before four? He was glad he had his communicator on his wrist, he could use it as a watch.
A quick check told hm luck was on his side, he had some time, he dumped his cloak in the bed exposing his wings for the first time in awhile. The cloak he wore was so stifling, maybe after this job was over he would quit wearing it. The next fifteen minutes he spent taking a quick shower and getting dressed in some casual clothing. He didn't hear anything about a uniform so he hoped this was okay.
The rest of the time he had to wait he spent laying across the bed until four came. It was just so comfortable compared to what he was use to he found it hard to move. Time flew by rather quickly though and soon enough he was hurrying out of his room to meet this Mr. Huntington.
He set himself to a faint dull glow to help guide his way while he looked or waited for his employer. He was still expecting some old guy though but hearing something about not looking at his face had him thinking he might just look bad. How bad could he possibly look to go with the lights like this?

Chase waited in the sitting room sipping coffee he had managed to make himself. He had been informed by Van that he had hired a fae who could produce his own light and so did not need the above lights to navigate or cook. This pleased Chase. The last thing he wanted was to see a bearer run out of his house after encountering his already intimidating 6'6" frame and muscular built with the face of a monster which he currently held.
Seeing a faint glow in the hallway, he spoke before the man could knock. "Enter."

The moment he was told to enter Dalian walked in somewhat hesitantly. "Ah...hello Mr. Hamilton." He knew this was the man he was suppose to speak with. He walked in just enough to stand beside the nearest but furthest seat from his new employer. He suppose it was alright to sit but at the risk of shinning light on the guy and not being rude he stood.
"I was told to see you here..." He trailed off not sure how to approach the situation, It was probably best to shut it and listen. He did just that with the following silence. Now what did this guy want to tell him. "Is there anything you want me to do first." Perhaps cook, clean or even run an errand. He was told that was what his job summed up to.

Chase's breath caught in his throat as soon as the fae entered, his body clenching with need as a low growl erupted in his throat. The beast inside rawred with the need to claim and protect. This fae, this man... was his mate.
It took him a moment to gain his bearings to speak but even then he was unsure what to say. The last thing he wanted his mate to see was the monster he had become but how could he keep from claiming the beautiful man?
"My name is Mr. Huntington," he spoke at last. "You have signed the contract and are aware that for the next year you are employed here?" Perhaps in a year the medi-tech would have found a skin match for him.
