Chase shoved his friend to the side. "You know my mind, fool. Now go do whatever it is knaves like you do to poor, undeserving bearers."
Van laughed before transporting out.
Chase made his way downstairs and had no sooner entered the kitchen then his stomach rumbled. "It smells wonderful, mate."

Dalian smiled brightly upon seeing his mate. "Did your AI call you?" Or was it just good timing. "I wanted to come get you but I didn't know what part of the house you were in. He hurried towards his mate and got up on his tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek. "I have everything set up sweetie." He tried the term of endearment wondering if it sounded good. He couldn't help blushing at the thought.
"Come on to the table with me." He grabbed Chase's hand with his much smaller one. He gently pulled him along, he definitely couldn't make the man move if he didn't want to though, leading him to the table. "Take a seat and we'll start eating." He somewhat reluctantly released his mates hand to sit himself. He had all the food and drink here so he didn't have to get up for anything.

Chase smiled at his mate's endearment and sat accordingly. Waiting to be served, he took a bite and groaned. "Nevermind looking for a chef..."

Dalian lit up, literally he was blushing so much he accidentally turned on his glow. He quickly caught himself with a light nervous laugh and spoke. "I'm really glad you enjoy it. Now cooking is something I would like to do for you all the time." He gave a nod quite sure of that much. "If anyone else does the cooking in the future it'll probably be because I...well, maybe I'm a bit too big to go zooming around the kitchen unless you help me." He hoped he caught onto what he was hinting.
Whenever they mated and he expected it to happen eventually, they would have a child. He did want one though he'd be mixed seeing he wasn't a Zercan. He'd love their child all the same. He just didn't see them mating just yet, he still wasn't ready. Pushing mating thoughts aside he started to eat.

Dalian gave a nod while chewing and swallowing his food. He paused before taking another bite when he heard his mates words. "Oh..." He looked down at his food blushing but not as much as before. "T-Thank you." It was just a really unexpected compliment. "You are...really alright with me being what I am?" It was silly but the thought hit him and before he knew it he had to ask. "Not being a Zercan I mean." And here they were mates and all.

Chase looked genuinely shocked. "Of course I don't care. I don't see where it would matter one way or another. You're my mate, gifted to me by fate. Your race is irrelevant."

Dalian knew the question was silly, he felt it more so when he heard Chase's answer. He nodded quickly flustered again before taking a sip of his drink. "I'm happy to hear you say that." He genuinely was." Instead of saying anything else he ate the rest of his food with a smile on his lips. He did pause for a moment to ask. "Do you think you want seconds or are you good." He was kind of hoping when they finished Chase would help him to or at least follow him int other kitchen. He just wanted to talk a bit more.

Chase stood and, clearly not going to make his mate work alone, grabbed the plates even as he shook his head. "No. Thank you for dinner, mate." Cleaning off the plates, he began working on storing the uneaten food. "Your children will more than likely come out in kit form, do you mind that?"

While in the midst of cleaning he saw his mate get up to help. He went ahead and worked on cleaning the dishes while he noticed his mate put up what food was left. He only paused when he heard what he said about their children. "Kit form..." He really didn't know a lot about Zercans so he didn't know that. "I'll love our children no matter what they'll look like." He smiled saying that before returning to washing the dishes.
It took just a few minutes to wash those dishes then he moved onto the pots. It didn't take long before he was done with that though and then he was just standing there and waiting for his mate. "Did you have plans of any sort or did I...ruin your day?" He frowned a bit recalling how confusing earlier had been.

Chase grinned at his makes obliviousness as to their children. "Our children will come out looking like kittens but will be able to switch back and forth to human after a day or so. And you couldn't possibly ruin my day as it revolves around you and that includes any work I would do."

"Oh." Dalian really didn't know that. "Well, thank you for telling me." He would have had a surprise when he found out their baby or possibly babies changed to a human form. "I suppose they will automatically take after you then." He still didn't know what kind of cat his mate looked like. "I'm also happy to hear that." He approached his mate coming up to him smiling. He reached out and caught his mates hand in his for a moment before looking up at him into his eyes.
"Then will you go back out to the garden with me?" Unless he had to work but he said he would work around things, right? If that was the case then he would just tell him what he had to do and leave it at that.

Chase smiled, amused by his mate's nervousness. Threading his fingers with his mate, he led the way outside and to a small bridge overlooking a large stream that cut through their property. "I like fishing in the stream down the way," he gestured to a far off pond, "In my cat form sometimes."

Dalian happily went along with his mate outside. The air out here was really refreshing in comparison to the area crowded with people in the city. He smiled the moment he spotted the stream with the small bridge over it. "Oh..." He looked curiously at his mate now. "Would you be willing to show me this other form of yours...now?" He didn't want him to do anything he didn't want to so he was a bit hesitant with asking.
"Unless its going to be painful then you don't have to do it." He had no idea what the transformation was like so he could only assume.

Chase looked at him oddly. "You have a lot to learn about my people. Being or shifting into cat form is natural and never painful." That said, he stepped back and stripped bare before changing into a giant leopard with sleek brown fur and piercing green cat eyes eyes - not much having changed in his coloring. His face was still scarred but less so now on account of the fur surrounding the wounds.
Moving forward, he nuzzled his mate with a purr, nipping at his hands in an attempt to be pet.
