"A good question," he sighed and lead him into the bedroom. He was tired now and they had a ton of time before they reached Sensaforia. He opened the closet and pulled out blankets. "I know you still don't want to believe me, but I feel something for you. If that's the case, not one person of our species can block against their mate. It's like a biological law or something. I feel you and once mated, i think you'll feel things from me-across a link or what not. But i'm not going to mate you if you don't want it. You've been pushed into enough things without me adding to the list." He gathered the blankets and pillows laying them on the floor.
"You can have the bed," he said, scratching his shoulder, shaking silver hair out of his eyes. "It's kind of small, and I....I tend to cuddle in my sleep," he blushed a dark blue, kicking a pillow out of the way.

"No." Kayan shook his head sitting down onto the ground. "You take the bed. It's your bed. I'm more than used to sleeping on the ground... it gets really bad in winter." Kayan wrapped his arms around his knees and stared up at Light having calmed down and foced himself to distance his own emotions so as not to aggitate Light any further. It had been surprisingly easy to do. He'd done it for so long he could almost do it without thinking.
Mates don't sound like good things to have." Kayan stated, tone soft. "Anything that hurts you to the degree that you are driven to drugging yourself cannot be good." Kayan shivered, remembering his own brief encounter with drugs. Never again...

Light stared down at him, groggy and shrugged. "It gets better once you're mated. The feelings don't hurt as much, or so i've been told. Because you're more....in tune with eachother I guess. Here," he wasn't about to let Kayan sleep on the floor. "Move for a minute, we'll do it this way." The bed had two neat mattresses stacked on top. They could put them side by side on the floor and sleep that way. It was much bigger with a small chance of him crawling over the distance to cuddle with the boy. Not that he'd mind cuddling, but he didn't think Kayan was even in the area of that yet.....

Kayan shifted and watched Light create the makeshift bed, He thought it rather strange that the bed had, had two mattresses but decided to refrain from commenting. Once Light had finished Kayan crawled onto the one side and resumed his previous position. He frowned at Light, hiding his confusion and sheer feeling of having nothing solid to stand upon. At least before he had met Light, he had known where he had stood. Now his very existence was turned upside-down and he had no idea what was expected of him, what was acceptable or even what he thought of all this disruption.
"What am I supposed to do in Senso... sanso senforia?" Kayan stumbled upon the name, not quite remembering what Light had called the place he was from temporary ignoring the questions he had about mates, bonding and the empathy. He didn’t want to think about that. Thinking about it and vocalising would make it real. Would disrupt everything he had believed and Kayan wasn’t sure he was ready to give up absolutely everything he used to define himself just yet.

Light tossed the covers and sheets that had originally been on the bed on Kayans side for whatever he'd use them for. He had no other sheets in the stock cupboard, but a blanket was suffice for now. He sank down on his mattress. "Sensaforia," he repeated for the other boy and then grinned. "Do? Anything you want. Relax mostly, recover, get your bearings back. It's the planet of leisure. You can do most anything and no ones going to bother you about it." He sighed and laid back, arms crossing under his head. He didn't bother pulling the covers up just yet, he was tired but the emotions floating on the air would keep him up for a bit longer.

"Recover?" Kayan's scowl deepened somewhat. "From what? I'm not sick." Kayan allowed himself to drop back onto the mattress tiredly scowling up at the ceiling now. "How am I supposed to support myself?" He clarified. "I can’t just sit around doing nothing. I have to eat and need a place to sleep. Unfortunately I don't have all that many skills. What is the market for whores?" Kayan added dryly if a little bitterly. "I guess a planet of leisure would have a pleasure district."

Light scowled darkly and the air around him seemed to crackle with his anger. "I told you, you won't need to worry about it, and you don't need to go trying to pleasure anyone." He turned on his side, watching the boy before he sighed. Kayan didn't understand, that was all. "Everywhere is a pleasure district, but not that kind of pleasure. This kind," he reached out and touched a finger to Kayan's arm, running it down his soft skin. He was careful not to push any feelings into him, but let the boy feel it like warm liquid across the surface of his arm. "As for eating and having a roof over your head, that's all taken care of. My family's hotel is huge, and the living wing has more than enough rooms. One of them will be yours. As long as you're my....my guest, you can eat as much as you want out of the kitchen, and you already have funds." He murmured, reminding him of the bag of money he had given him.
"The recovering...." He closed his eyes, the lids too heavy to hold open anymore. "Not all sickness is physical...." Light dropped off, his breath evening as sleep overtook him. His skin flushed a darker blue in sleep, silver hair splayed across his pillow.

Kayan shivered with the soft touch scowling when he felt pleasure. This was unknown to him and certainly unchatered waters. No one had ever touched him that gently before... with so much care. He opened his mouth to protest and frowned when he realised Light had fallen asleep on him. He watched the other in facination, the sleeping form stirring feelings within him that were better left ignored. He reached out to brush against the silver hair, wondering if it was as soft as it looked. It was. It slipped through his fingers like silk thread. Light's words had hit a little too close to home but no matter what Light said, the money was Lights and Kayan could not allow the other to take responsibility of supporting him. Healing? He was too broken to heal. He dropped his hand curling up and attempring to sleep but Kayan was too confused, too troubled and too worried to get any...

Light woke up at intervals through the night. He'd never slept fitfully before-save after the accident, he supposed-so it was a new thing altogether to wake up beside Kayan every few hours, groggily stare at his form and then fall back to sleep, comfortable. It was finally hours, many hours, later that he woke up, rubbing his eyes, rested and content. His companion didn't seem well rested though. Kayan looked like he had stayed up the entire time. Why was that?
Light groaned and pushed himself up a bit, alleviating his weight off of his side to let the feeling come back into the nerves there. "You stayed awake all night?" He asked with a yawn, rubbing sleep from his eyes and touseling his silver hair even furthur.

Kayan blinked in surprise not having realised that Light was awake. Out of sleepless frustration he had taken to staring blankly before him, burying himself in blank thoughts in an attempt to calm himself somewhat. Kayan sat up with a sigh, running fingers through his own tangled mess. He really should cut his hair. He shrugged in response to Light's query, not wanting to admit to anything.

"Alright..." If Kayan didn't want to talk, he shouldn't either. He stretched and took to pulling his robes into some semblance of order, trying to untangle them enough that he could get up and change. Who fell asleep with robes on? Geez....He finally got it done and just sat there, staring into space before turning his attention back to Kayan. His fingers were combing through midnight hair and Light bit his lip, wanting to reach out and touch. It took a moment of careful self control before he gave up. He reached out and cupped the boys face, his other hand joining Kayans in combing through tangled locks. "You're hair is pretty," he murmured, unsure if he was asleep of awake right about now. He broughtsome of the midnight stands to hang around midnight eyes. Beautiful.....

Kayan froze, hand still tangled in his own hair. He stared at Light in both shock and surprise, not knowing quite what to do. He liked the feeling of Light's light gentle touch. Lights motion through his hair had him mesmerised and the soft words just about had him blushing. He moved forward, as if to move closer... as if to... Suddenly he jerked back, frowning at the realisation of what he had been about to do. "It's not pretty." Kayan snapped, jerking his own hand roughly through his hair, wincing when he pulled on it. "I really should cut it. Its far too long. "

Light watched him, waiting, waiting.....The boy was leaning in and he would've moved those last few inches, had Kayan not jumped back, as if burned. his fingers were still tangled in the hair and he smoothly dislodged them as Kayan snapped at him. He let the last few strands trail from between his fingers and shook his head. "I think it's wonderful for you. It matches your eyes.....cutting it would take away the effect it has to bring out your eyes." There was still a lock hanging against the side of his face, one that kayan had missed pulling back. The temptation was too much to miss...Light reached out and gently moved it behind and ear, smiling.

Kayan frowned shifting awkwardly, rather at a loss for words. He was positively scowling now pulling roughly on his own hair in aggitation. "I don't want to bring out my eyes." He eventually muttered. "They are just creepy... what with how dark they are and the silver in them." Kayan however did not shift away from Light's touch, letting light stroke his hair back in peace.

He frowned at the words, still stroking and untangling strands of hair. His task was enjoyable and he gently got knots and what not out with his fingers. "Not true," he said quietly, shaking his head. "Your eyes are gorgeous....especially when you're angry and the silver seems to glow...." He grinned and batted away Kayans hand so he didn't do anymore damage to his hair, soothign the spot on his scalp from the boy tugging.
