Adish made an odd face that was somewhat a frown and somewhat a pout. He looked down at Kinome and tilted his head to the side. "When do you get off work?" he asked softly, "If you want me to leave you alone now, I can go home and fix supper so it'll be done when you get back," he offered. "And a bath, too. Would you like that?" he asked quietly, smiling softly now.

Kinome heaved a mental sigh of relief. This was he wouldn't have to admit his weakness to Adish. He nodded vigorously... almost too enthusiastically. "I finish at 5." He stated shortly. "Usually I have dance class after but it doesn’t look like I'll be going."

Adish nodded and smiled. "Alright. I'll have everything ready when you come home... Just be careful and take of yourself, okay? Don't hurt yourself," he stated, kissing Kinome's forehead before bending over to lift the ladder so it was standing upright again. He waved and walked away, realizing kind of pathetically that he was really acting like an uke. He grinned lightly and chuckled. Ah well, I just need to take care of Kinome, that's all that's important now.

Kinome watched Adish leave. He waited a few long excruciating minutes once Adish was out of sight before whimpering softly and sinking down to the ground. That was where his supervisor found him half an hour later, silent tears streaking down his face. Bending down the man reached out only to have Kinome wince and draw away. Ignoring Kinome's protests the man picked him up and drove him to the hospital.
Shortly after four Kinome found himself standing before his own home, crutches under arm and a small bag clutched in his hands. He had been thoroughly reprimanded by his doctor. It was just his luck that the doctor that had treated his injury was the doctor that had diagnosed his illness. Oh, well... he should be happy. They hadn't charged him for treating his ankle and the doctor had even gone so far as to restock the medication he'd been unable to afford for no cost. The only problem now was how was he going to get around Adish and how was he going to 'take' the medication without Adish noticing. He didn’t know why but something in him really didn’t want Adish knowing. Part of him was terribly ashamed and he felt that this illness made him less worthy of Adish’s attention. He chose not to look too deeply into why he would want to feel worthy.
Twisting awkwardly, Kinome finally managed to open the front door. He maneuvered himself in carefully, leaning heavily on the crutches and looking around for Adish. Once in, he quickly hid the crutches behind in the closet by the door when he saw that Adish didn’t appear to be in the corridor at least. Slamming the door shut he waited, knowing that if Adish were there he would have heard and would soon show. He wanted to appear strong and in control. He didn’t know what he wanted from Adish but he knew the one thing he did not want was pity.

When Adish had arrived at Kinome's house, he saw that the crazy old man was thankfully not there. He went to Kinome's room and lazed around a bit, reading a book he'd found lying around. When he decided it was late enough, the dragonis went to the kitchen and started making supper.
Half-way through, he heard the door slam closed. The red-head blinked and headed into the hallway to see Kinome standing there. He blinked again, tilting his head. "...Kinome?... I thought you weren't going to be home for while? Why are you so early?" he asked, slight worry evident in his voice. "Did something happen?"

Kinome chewed on his lip, hiding the plastic bag behind his bag. He hadn’t thought of that. "I... I... I'm fine. I thought I'd come early?" Kinome responded... the question more than apparent in his tone. He was hoping this was the right answer. He remained where he was, rather thankful for his baggy long pants hiding his cast.

Adish frowned, he didn't believe Kinome at all. There was no way the boy was telling the truth. "Why are you so mean to me? Do you think I can't tell when you lie so obviously? Do you really think I'm that stupid?" he demanded. He didn't understand Kinome kept lieing to him and saying things that weren't true.

Kinome chewed on his lip, dropping his gaze and looking terribly guilty. 'I was sent home." He whispered. "I was sent home early and now I can't work this weekend either." Kinome had tears in the corners of his eyes. "I'm going to lose all my tips from the cafe. Happy now?" Kinome's tone had taken on a sudden bitter anger. If he could have, he would have stormed off but seeing as he couldn't he satisfied himself with glaring at Adish, out of damp eyes.

Adish blinked, his frown turning sad. "What? Why?" he asked, approaching Kinome. He lightly touched the boy's cheek, trying to be of some comfort. He didn't understand why Kinome always tried to hide things from him. Did the Human not like him? Was he not good enough?... well, that was for sure, but at least he was trying, right?

Kinome flinched away from Adish's touch. :"Because I'm a failure... that's why." He hissed in response. "I'm nothing but a screw up and a burden. I can't even earn enough money to pay for everything we need most of the time."

Adish frowned. He realized, then, that he really seemed to be frowning a lot lately. "Why are we always fighting?" he asked softly, "All we do is spit anger at eachother. I'm sorry if I'm causing you trouble..."

Kinome dropped his gaze once more, shifting awkwardly. "It's me that's causing all the problems. It's my fault we always fight. Maybe you should go find better company." He whispered softly. "Why waste your time one someone like me."

Adish moved forward again and hugged Kinome tightly. "Because I can't leave you. Now that I've got you, I can't let you go. See, you're my mate, I'm sure of it now, so I can't just walk away knowing what I'm leaving behind," he stated softly.

Kinome shifted nervously. "Mate?" he enquired, not certain he wanted to know what that meant. "I'm not forcing you to stay." He whispered. "Believe me... I'll understand if you leave. I won't be mad or think any less of you. I promise."

Adish grunted, pressing his face lightly into Kinome's hair and shaking his head softly. "You wouldn't... But I would. You're my mate, and I'm yours," he said quietly. He took one of Kinome's hands in his own and placed it against his chest. "Can't you feel that? Like... Like...," he sighed softly. There really wasn't anything to compare the feeling of having a mate to, so he couldn't find anything to say.
