Kinome froze in midstep, turning to stare at Adish for a moment. He reluctantly released Adish’s hand. He had kind of liked it there but refused to admit to such even to himself. “Lunch is that way.” Kinome pointed to the corridor going off to the right. “Just down the hall and third door on the right.”
That said Kinome whirled around on one foot and set off at a run into the original direction he had been heading. He desperately fought the urge to turn around and see what Adish was doing. He figured that the stranger wanting lunch was not such a strange concept but that comment had humiliated him… brought to the fore all the things he had failed in. Like earning enough money for instance.

Adish blinked in confusion as Kinome ran off, leaving the dragonis standing by himself amongst the other students. He scratched his head and sighed. He headed off in the direction that Kinome had instructed. He frowned when he saw the huge room, full of kids with a long long line. He sighed in frustration, then stood at the end of the line.
Once he was finally out of the line, he quickly paid the lady for the food and carried the two fulls trays away. He discreetly (or as discreetly as one can when practically all eyes are on them) slipped from the room and headed down the hallway, trying to see if he could find the boy. "...He said something about a... a library... didn't he?" he asked himself out loud, "Yeah! That's it! ... Now I just have to figure out what and where that is...."

The library was further down the corridor, in exactly the direction Kinome had been heading in. It was rather difficult to miss. Upset and not really certain why, Kinome stormed in, the door banging behind him. Kinome froze and cringed at the look he was getting from the librarian. Trying to make himself seem as small as possible, without much success, Kinome crept into the library and slipped in between a few shelves.
He released his held breath once out of sight of the librarian and headed straight towards the chairs and desks in the corner. Dropping his bag, he sat down and rested his head in his folded arms with a small groan. Thereafter he didn’t move, blending into the shadows. On the door to the library was a big sign of a hotdog encircled in red and crossed out by a single bold red line. It blatantly forbid food in the library.

Finally, Adish found a door labeled "Library" and grinned. The "no food" sign was a bit disconcerting, but Adish just ignored it. He wasn't one to go by the rules anyway. He carefully balanced both trays on one arm while he used his other hand to open the door. He peaked inside and saw a creepy woman sitting grumpily behind a counter. He sighed in defeat, set the trays down outside the door and went inside.
Adish doubted he'd seen so many book in his life. So... A library is a book storage area? It's almost like Eade's room... only bigger and with a creepy lady glaring at me... The dragonis slipped into a row of books and began his search for Kinome. He quickly found the Human and sat down beside him. "Kinome, I found you! I didn't know where the library was... but I found it!" he said happily, "And I brought us lunch, too, but I had to leave it outside 'cause theirs a creepy lady over there and she was giving me a weird look that kinda scared me, so I left it outside and we should probably hurry and go get it before someone else takes it, right?" he rambled rather quickly. He took Kinome's hand in his own and smiled widely at the boy.

Kinome gaped at Adish, eyes moving down to the hand holding his and back up in shock. "Lunch?" He repeated stupidly, eyes wide and mind racing to catch up. "Outside?" Shaking himself out of his daze Kinome frowned at Adish, hoping against hope that he hadn't just said what he thought the red-head had just said. As usual, he chose to ignore it, just like he chose to ignore everything else. He was not about to accept charity from someone he barely knew, no matter how desperate he was, how nice Adish was or even how much how much he longed to. He carefully pulled his own hand out of Adish's grasp, before he got used to having it there. He liked the sensation far more than he was willing to admit or willing to accept. "You go eat." Kinome responded softly dropping his gaze down to the desk and away from Adish. "I'm fine. I'll wait for you here." Kinome nervously traced patterns in the wood of the desk, hoping Adish would not catch him in the lie... "I'm not hungry."

Adish blinked. "Of course you are! You didn't eat breakfast! How can you not eat breakfast and not be hungry!... And I told you not to lie to me, Kinome. You're a bad liar and it hurts my feelings. As pathetic as it sounds, it does hurt when you lie to me...," he said quietly, staring down at his now empty hand. "Besides, I got you a whole tray of food. At least eat some of it so my money doesn't go completely to waste; I can't eat all of that food by myself," he admonished, reaching for Kinome's hand again. He hated how cold he felt every time Kinome pulled away from him.

Kinome sighed, suddenly feeling guilty. He hadn;t meant to hurt Adish's feelings. Why did it bother him so much that he had? Giving a wane attempt at a smile Kinome grabbed Adish's hand and got up. Silently he led them out of the library to find the abandoned trays still standing outside. Releasing Adish's hand Kinome dropped down onto the ground and picked one of the trays up. He began to pick at the food seperating various items. He discarded all the sweets and sweet things onto Adish's tray leaving himself with a small amount of vegetables, bread and an apple. He began to carefully nibble, closing his eyes in sudden exhaustion. He was very tired.

Adish smiled happily and sat next to Kinome on the floor. He watched silently as Kinome placed all the desserts on his plate... not that he was really complaining- all the more for him! The dragonis ate happily, glad to finally be able to put something in his stomach. He watched Kinome as he did so, and frowned softly. "Are you feeling alright, Kinome? You look like you might be sick again."

Kinome shook his head. "It's okay. This at least is normal." He muttered tiredly. "I should be alright if I just watch what I eat." He hoped. It wasn't like he had any other choice in the matter anyway. He was strapped for cash as it was. Kinome left most of the food untouched, feeling too off to eat much.

Adish frowned; he wasn't happy because he was hoping that Kinome would eat a lot, but the Human just a bits and pieces of things. There wasn't really anything he could do, though, short of holding the boy down and stuffing the food down his throat.
After lunch, Adish followed followed Kinome to his next class and sat behind him. He sat patiently, waiting for the bell to ring, and played with Kinome's silver hair. He blinked and looked up when someone tapped on his shoulder.
"Eh... Hi?... Can I help you?" he asked the girl standing beside him.

Kinome completely ignored the fact that Adish was playing with his hair. As long as he wasn't pulling on his hair and hurting him, he supposed he could let Adish have his way. He couldn't understand though, why Adish chose to follow him around the way he did. Boredom could only go so far and there were far more interesting people Adish could associate with. Like Aya for instance.
Kinome had spotted the girl approaching Adish out of the corner of his eye and was waiting to see what would happen while pretending to ignore what went on around him. Aya was the most poular girl at school. She had it all. Looks, brains, popularity and was actually rather nice to everyone. Most important of all, she was still single.

"Umm... Well, I was wondering, since you're new here, if you wanted to sit with my friends and me," Aya asked. Adish blinked up at her.
"...Why?" he asked, a bit rude. Aya just blinked at him, confused. "I've got Kinome, here, to show me around and stuff. Besides, I'd just have to go around learning everyone's names and then just when I'd finally remember everyone, I'll just have to leave. So, really, there isn't a point," he pointed out. He didn't really realize how defensive he'd become all of a sudden. He didn't like the idea of not being near Kinome. "And most of, I like Kinome more than you... Girls scare me," he stated simply, turning back forward to play with the silver hair of the boy before him.

Kinome quirked an eyebrow up in surprise at Adish’s comments, choosing to momentarily refrain from commenting. Soon everyone was busy listening to the teacher… Okay, no one was really paying the teacher any attention but at least they all pretended to.
Kinome grabbed all his things and walked out the instant the final bell rang. He glanced out of the corner of his eye to find Adish, as usual, trailing after him. Kinome chewed on his lip fighting up the courage to ask. “Why did you rebuff her that way? She’s very nice. She’s pretty, friendly, clever and very popular. Definitely not boring.”

Adish blinked and grinned, tilting his head to the side. "But she's not you!... Besides... Girls really do scare me...," he said, chuckling nervously. "I don't think she's pretty... Then again, maybe if I liked girls, then I would," he murmurred thoughtfully. How could any guy be interested in girls? he asked himself Those... things on their chests and... and... he shivered lightly at the thought of "spending the night" with one. He stuck his tongue out and scrunched up his face. "No. Definetly no girls... Ew."

"You're gay?" Kinome queried suddenly remembering their earlier conversation. "I guess I’m not surprised. Your parents never really told you how children come about did they? I mean, if you are not adopted then your father must be remarried... that is if you can get married to a guy." Kinome hoped this was the reason Adish thought that men could have kids. It would explain his attitude without having to say he was crazy. Kinome was extremely relieved at the idea that Adish was not actually crazy. He didn’t want to investigate the reason in too much detail but he didn’t want Adish to be crazy. “You didn’t have to date her you know.” Kinome shrugged. “Just be friends with her.”
