"Thanks," Keiran grinned, strolling casually after the couple after Cameron resumed walking. Reluctantly, Aden followed as well, still not making a single sound. After a few seconds of silence had passed, the younger brunette elbowed his younger brother in his side and gave him a glare as well, speaking to him in a hushed voice even though it was easily overheard, "You're so rude! At least say something.. like 'Nice to meet you!' or 'Congratulations!'."
Cameron looked over his shoulder at his brothers briefly before looking back to Aud. He sighed lightly and shook his head, murmuring an 'I'm sorry' to the other. Keiran, trying in desparation to lighten the mood up a bit, suddenly spoke up again after giving his younger brother another sharp jab in his side with his elbow.
"So, what's this 'important thing' you have to do, anyway?" He asked.
"We're trying to find two people," The older brunette explained shortly. Finally, the black-haired boy decided to speak, starting with a long, annoyed sigh.
"Why don't you just take a car, then? You would find them faster," He snapped, crossing his arms across his chest.
"We wanted to walk," Cameron growled, "Now stop complaining. If you don't want to walk, you're more than welcomed to go back and wait for us."
For a second, it seemed as if the youngest boy was going to break off from the group and go on about his way. In fact, he even moved to walk away and would've gladly left if Keiran hadn't roughly grabbed his arm and continued to drag him along. Despite the difference in size, it wasn't hard to see who was in charge when it came to the youngest two Ainsworth siblings.
"Stop being difficult!" He grumbled, "You should be happy!"
Cameron mentally groaned. Just splendid. His youngest brother was being unreasonable and making a complete ass out of himself. The way the three of them were arguing was completely embarrassing. Honestly... couldn't Aden at least try to be civil, even if he--for some reason--didn't like Audley? It made him angry, how the youngest teen was acting. It certainly couldn't reflect well on the image Audley was probably starting to put together about his family.

Audley swallowed nervously. Aden really didn't want to be around him, did he? What was wrong with him? They had never even seen eachother before, how could he have offended the younger boy in any way?
At least Kieran seemed to be putting an effort forward to make friends with him. Audley realized then that he hadn't even said one word to Cameron's younger brothers. That didn't seem very friendly on his part.
"I-it shouldn't take long to find them," he said quietly, glad that he wasn't stuttering too bad. He was sure nervous enough to be doing so. "We left them just a little while ago."

"It would still be faster if..." Aden began to mumble, though stopped when he looked over at Keiran. He was upset, obviously. Not just angry, but genuinely upset. The middle child had been looking forward to meeting his older brother's mate and he figured that the lavender-haired boy probably was either weary of them or disliked them because of how the youngest boy was acting. He hated when Aden got in one of his little 'moods'. They made his brother absolutely unbearable.
"I'm sorry Aden's being such a jerk to you," Cameron whispered to his mate, leaning over a bit as to not broadcast his whispering to everyone around, as the other brunette tended to struggle with. He placed a quick kiss on the boy's cheek, "Just ignore him. He doesn't really dislike you, I think. He's just moody and spoiled."
Well, he hoped that Aden really didn't hold anything against his mate, anyway. What reason could he possibly have to hate him, anyway? They had never met before and they hadn't even spoke to each other in the few minutes they'd been introduced to each other. There wasn't any way. Aden was just being difficult and that was all there was to it, surely. He would come around eventually, and if he didn't, then the older half-breed would deal with it then.
"Oh, by the way, I don't think I caught your name," Keiran addressed Audley suddenly, remembering that the boy hadn't introduced himself. Well, even if Aden wasn't going to be civil, he was going to be. But, it was kind of hard to be friendly with someone when you didn't exactly know their name..

Audley smiled at his mate, understanding what was going on now. He squeezed his mate's hand lightly as Keiran starting talking. The teen blushed darkly. How embarrassing! "I'm sorry. H-how rude of me," he said embarrassedly. "My name is Audley," he offered. "And it's nice to meet you both."
((Sorry it took so long, and is so short at that >_<))

"It's nice to meet you, too," Keiran replied, laughing quietly at the other's embarrassment. He looked over in time to see Aden give a small nod of recognition and a quiet grumble. Well, it was progress. At least he was doing something other than completely ignoring Audley.
"So, you're a Majikadai, right?" The brunette asked, seemingly out of no where. After a second, he felt compelled to explain the reasoning behind his sudden question, "Because, if you are, Aden owes me ten more dollars. We kind of made bets on what sort of mate Cameron would have while we were looking for you two."
"Great," Cameron sighed. He loved his two brothers dearly, but he was certain they were the two weirdest people he'd ever met in his life.
"Aden thought you'd be either an incubus or a vampyre and stuck up," Keiran looked sideways at Aden, who had purposefully decided to tune the conversation out, "I guessed that you'd be a Majikadai or Jshiko and really soft spoken. I'm pretty sure I've won that bet."
As if something suddenly became so clear to him that it hurt, Keiran turned and looked at Aden.
"Is that why you're mad? 'Cause you lost the bet?" He asked.
"I'm not mad," The youngest sibling growled defensively, still not looking back to the group. Cameron looked over his shoulder, obviously not amused.
"You're being a jerk over a stupid bet that you lost," He stated flatly, "You're still such a little kid, you know that?"

Audley could feel the constant light blush on his cheeks. They made bets about how he would be like? It was kind of funny how Kieren was so close but... it seemed like Aden always wanted him to be a bad person. Stuck up? That wasn't exactly the best quality in a person. He wondered why the younger boy was so against him, or if there was a real reason.
The Majikadai nudged his mate lightly. "Cameron, he looks like he is still young," he whispered, the quiet talking coming easier to him than it did his mate. "Grown men get upset when they lose bets."
Audley licked his lips uncertainly. He didn't want Aden to hate him because he was embarrassed or mad. The tall boy was his brother-in-law!
"...Aden?" he started uncertainly. "I hope you aren't going to stay mad forever.... I don't have any younger brothers. The closest I have to that is my nephews. But, now I have two brothers-in-law.... And that is more like younger brothers than nephews," he said, hoping he wasn't rambling. It bothered him when he paused like that, but he couldn't help it. The only stranger he felt comfortable talking with right away was Cam - and it turns out he wasn't that much of a stranger after all.

"I guess so, but I'm not going to take it back," Cameron pouted when his mate nudged him. As far as he was concerned, Aden still acted like a child. But maybe he was just biased, since he wasn't fond at all of anyone treating Audley badly.
However, when his mate actually addressed his brother, both of the older siblings looked over at thier younger brother, not quite sure what to expect from him. Aden could obviously have quite a temper and he had always been one that could easily hold a grudge. But, they were pleasantly surprised when the younger teen didn't immediately give his brother's mate the cold shoulder. Instead, he just diverted his gaze elsewhere and replied quietly.
"Whatever... I said I'm not mad," He gave the others a quick sideways glance before looking off again, clearly embarrassed. A bit reluctantly, though there was some small, small bit of sincerity somewhere in his voice, he muttered something else, "I'm sorry."
"He apologized!" Keiran grinned, none-too-gently slapping his younger brother on the shoulder, "See, that wasn't so hard, was it?"
"Leave me alone," He sighed, "You're annoying."
Letting the insult fly for the time being, the younger brunette turned his attention back towards the couple in front of him, back to his cheerful mood again.
"So, did these friends of yours really wander off this far?" He looked around briefly, "What were you doing out here anyway?"

Audley gave Aden a small smile and a nod, letting him know his apology was accepted. He was use the quietness of others, and actually felt more comfortable around his new brother because of his lack of talking. The lavender haired boy was sure that this would change later, and that Aden was actually a talker. The way his bothers pestered him made him think that at least.
"Oh, well they didn't really wander off far. We split up and went seperate ways to look for a place to trade with for fruits and vegetables," the Majikadai explained. "See, my village is in need of those foods because they are dying out around us. So we, my two companions and I, set off here for Jokadi.... I-well, Cameron and I found a place that will trade with us so that is why we're looking for them now."
Fingering the hilt of his sword, he wondered what Kieran and Aden thought of him. Hopefully Kieran was not just pretending to be nice, and Aden didn't really hate him.
"I'm sure it won't take too long to find them," he promised.

Keiran give his new brother-in-law a thoughtful nod as the situation was explained, apparently mulling something over to himself. After a second, he gave the other a smile.
"You're both so different. But, you look cute together," He decided aloud, crossing his arms across his small crest, "I think Mom n' Dad will be happy to have you in the family."
"Good. Mom won't be bothering me about anything anymore," Cameron sighed slightly. It was definitely a relieving thought, that his mother wouldn't call about once a week now, asking if he'd 'met anyone nice lately'. Instead of immediately agreeing, though, Keiran snickered at his older brother's comments.
"Nope. You'll still be getting phone calls every week," He chimed, next copying his mother's voice in a way that was eerily accurate, "'So, Cameron, when am I going to have grandchildren?'"
The nice feeling given by the thought of not being called incessantly by his ever-so-clingy mother vanished instantly. Well, his younger brother did have a point. As long as Cameron wasn't around to bother in person, his mother would be calling about something. Even if it was annoying at times, he knew his mother had his best interests in mind... at least in some form or fashion. But, really, if he started to call over and over about grandchildren, the older half-breed could already see some problems happening in the near future.
"Never quite satisfied, is he?" Cameron shook his head slightly, "Maybe he'll be merciful and wait a while until he starts bothering us over children. It's kind of early to be thinking about those sort of things, isn't it?"
"Mom's sense of judgment is kinda off. He's already been bothering me about finding a mate, too. Geez, he's even tried to do it to Aden, too, and he's only fifteen," Keiran laughed, "Hope all you want. I don't think he's going to just let the subject go easily."

Cute? That was an interesting way to say it. They looked "cute" together. Audley smiled a little. He hadn't heard that expression used describing him very often, but it made him happy that Kieran thought they looked good together. In fact it would have been strange if they didn't. Mates were supposed to fit together, weren't they?
The Majikadai gave the younger boy an intrigued look when he started imitating his mother. It was very amusing. Having children being a problem didn't even cross his mind. The few mates that were in their village had as many children as they could, to make the village bigger and stronger. It was just instinct to him... and he had to admit having children was something he looked forward to.
But all of that talk seemed to embarrass Cameron a little bit, which sort of confused him.
The lavender haired boy tilted his head, glancing between his mate and his mate's brothers. "Isn't it important to start thinking about children, though?" he asked. "In Sanjiv... my village... your mother wouldn't even have to ask. She shouldn't have to. Having children is important in... in upholding the population. Making the community stronger," Aud started, slowing down as he ended when he realized that a large population wasn't a problem in the city. That was obvious with the hundreds of people all around them.

"Well, I suppose you have a point, but I've only known you for.. a little over an hour now," He shrugged one of his shoulders slightly, a small smile find it's way onto his lips as he leaned over to whisper to his mate, "But, I suppose if you want to start thinking about it, I wouldn't be hard to persuade."
"Geez, save it for later," Keiran mumbled, wrinkling his nose at his older brother's intentional not-so-quiet whisper. Cameron gave a small laugh of his own, pressing another small, quick kiss onto his mate's cheek. Even Aden looked back to them briefly, a small smile on his face. Well, at least the atmosphere seemed to be warming up a bit. The youngest member of the four-person group didn't seem completely hateful and disapproving now, just mildly uninterested and detached. It was improvement. Maybe he would come around by the time they got back to their parents.
"Anyway, population isn't a problem in Scrijx. So, we don't have to worry about that kind of thing," The very thought of the city barely populated made an odd mental image. Thankfully, he was pretty sure they wouldn't have to worry about that, at least not in either of their lifetimes.

Audley blushed lightly, but smiled. Even though this kissing and touching in public was new to him, he thought he could become used to it. It made him feel very good and kind of sad that in his village you rarely saw others doing so.
The teen coughed lightly. "Yes, I realized that after I spoke," he said quietly, embarrassedly. At least Aden and Keiran didn't seem to think any less of him for his mistake. The taller boy was even smiling a small smile!
They were just passing another sidewalk when some one spoke in a loud voice. "Oh geez, Bohdan, you have a whole pack now." Audley glanced over, startled, but relaxed when he saw Cheyenne and Turin walking up to them. Cheyenne looked mildly annoyed, with his arms crossed over his chest. Turin was his usual calm, unreadable self. "Please tell me what you're doing, and why you're holding hands with the weak city-goer," Cheyenne continued, coming to a stop in front of the group of four.
Audley glared evenly. What right did the other man have in insulting his mate? None! The older Majikadai was surprised to say the least when his companion openly glared at him; and a little angry. It was disrespectful of the lavender haired boy. "Don't talk about Cameron that way, Cheyenne. He isn't weak," he said threateningly. Then he calmed slightly. "And I have been busy." He let go of his mate's hand to search through his pocket for the paper, then held it out proudly for the other to take. "I found a store that will trade with us."
Turin glanced over Cheyenne's shoulder at the list. "Very good, Audley," he complimented. "Now," he said in tone that had nothing to do with fruit. "Tell us why you two are holding hands," he demanded with a secret smile.
"There is no reason. He's found attraction in a city boy that he will never see again. That's it," Cheyenne said, as if he were correct.
"Actually," Audley said softly. "That is only half-true. I am attracted to this boy, but I will see him again. For a long time."
"He's your mate, isn't he?" Turin asked certainly. The boy's smile and light blush were all he needed. He nudged his other companion lightly. "I told you. I have a knack for these things," he said softly, acting a way Aud had never seen him act before. Which wasn't surprising. He wasn't close with either of them, really.
Cheyenne grumbled something that made Turin grin. "Yes, well, when are you bringing him to Sanjiv? I assume you are moving him into a new home soon?"
"You assume wrong," he said, trying to sound calm. In reality he was nervous as hell. "I can not allow my mate to move there. He would not be happy. We will most likely move into his home, though since we have not spoken about it I am not sure."
The older two were quiet for a moment. "You will have to speak with the Leader. This is not our business," he said quietly. "Turin and I are going to get something to eat. You and your mate and your... other people can go about your business. Though meet us near the forest within the next few hours. I assume your grandparents would not like to hear the news from us." And with that, they were gone once again.
Audley let out a long sigh. That had been... awkward. And for some reason he felt like he had betrayed his companions, but at the same time he knew he hadn't. He glanced at Keiran and Aden, giving them a sheepish smile. "Those were my companions. Cheyenne and Turin."

Cameron was caught off-guard for just a moment when the two older Majikadai spotted them. As was his normal, he kept quiet and let Audley talk it out with them. He really didn't have much of a desire to socialize with them, anyway, and he was sure it was a mutual feeling. But, he couldn't help but to glare when Cheyenne referred to him as the 'weak city-goer'. Sure, he probably wasn't strong at all by Majikadai standards, but to expect that would've been insane. While he probably wasn't considered the strongest person around on any planet, he definitely wasn't 'weak', either. He could hold his own in a fist fight, at least, and that had to account for something.
Though, what made him the angriest was Cheyenne's next comment. 'He's found attraction in a city boy that he will never see again', huh? The little comment had crawled right under the half-breed's skin and the anger was obvious on his face. In fact, he probably would've broken his vow of silence and chewed the other Majikadai out if Audley hadn't beaten him to the explanation first in what definitely was definitely put in a much gentler manner than Cameron could have ever managed in such a situation.
For the rest of the conversation, Cameron spent the time calming down. Turin honestly wasn't bad, but that other guy got under his skin. He was glad when the other two left, though, making sure to give Cheyenne one last glare as he retreated. Once the two were gone, he turned back to Aud and gently grabbed his hands, interlocking their fingers again.
"That one guy's a jerk," Keiran announced after Audley had given him and his younger brother an explanation of who the two were. He shook his head, "But, now that you've met with those guys, are you two ready to go back and meet Mom and Dad now? Mom's probably at his wit's end with impatience and it's a given that he's already worried Dad to death about it."

Audley squeezed Cameron's hand lightly, giving him a smile. At Keiran's statement he sighed softly. If Cheyenne cared about coming off as a nice guy, he would have suggest that the man work on his socializing skills. But he knew the Majikadai didn't, so there was no reason to. Even so, he did feel obliged to defend his companion. He wasn't given the chance though because Keiran continued talking.
"I am ready if Cameron's ready," he answered, a little nervously. Yes, he was excited to meet his mate's parents. And yes, he was very nervous about what they would think of him. Next to that he was worried he would make a fool out of himself. The meeting with Aden and Keiran went well... hopefully it would be just as good with their parents....

"I'm ready, I guess," Cameron nodded, looking around. After locating a street sign and giving it some thought, he resumed walking, "We're not that far, actually... It's just a few blocks this way."
The little nervous feeling he'd been feeling before was back. He really hoped that the meeting went over well with his parents. Introducing his brothers to his mate had, generally, seemed to go over decently. But, the half-breed was consoled by the fact that his mother probably wasn't going to be that picky. It wasn't as if his father was that hard to please, either. Truthfully, Aden's personality was quite close to his father's, though the teen was quite a bit more easily upset than the older incubus. So, hopefully, nothing would go wrong and the meeting would be pleasant.
"Just watch out for Mom. He's a little eccentric, if you haven't figured that out already," Cameron shrugged. Actually, 'a little' was being entirely generous when talking about his mother. But, really, he didn't want to make his mate any more nervous than he assumed he was.
