Cameron looked slightly surprised when the other, older man ntoiced his glances at the door. Really, he didn't think anything would go wrong if they were only going to be separated for a few minutes. It felt like someone had split him down the middle and locked the halves in two different rooms--definitely not a good feeling. It was less like worry and more like just a need to have his mate within his sight again.
"I'm fine. He can take as much time as he needs," The half-Zercan nodded, though mentally he was cringing at the thought of being separated from Aud for more than a couple of moments. As it were, he would already have to make himself not jump the boy as soon as he came back out the door. It was funny how someone could get attached to another person so quickly and entirely.

After a few moments of silence, Taraz heard the turning of the doorknob behind him. He moved out of the way so his mate and Audley would be able to walk by. Andre was the first to enter the waiting room again, the lavender haired boy right behind him.
"Cameron," Andre said softly once the younger male's mate had walked up to him. The Majikadai stood next to the half Zercan silently, only looking up at him long enough to give him a small smile. "It is a custom in our village for a man to receive markings for special events. Audley has been involved in a journey to become a warrior. With the arrival of you, his mate, he will end this journey to live with you in your own home.
"Also, he is to be granted a new journey. The journey of finding his mate, and having a life with the special man. That is you, of course. Audley will need to get markings showing how he ended one journey and began another. It would be a great privligde if you agreed to take part in this honor as well."
Through out his leader's whole speach, Audley was silently staring at the area in front of the man's feet. It would not be proper for him to interrupt and explain all this Cameron, even though he wished to. There could be no outward influences on the other's choice of accepting this marking or not. All the young man could do was stand there silently, condensing all emotions- internal and external- as he waited for the other's answer.

Cameron was unbelievably relieved whenever his sensitive ears picked up the sound of the doorknob turning. He quickly moved and turned to face the door, a smile appearance once again on his lips. Though, he didn’t have much time to return to his mate before the Leader addressed him, forcing him to keep his attention turned elsewhere for just a bit longer.
The half-Zercan nodded to show he was following along as the Leader spoke, absorbing the information but not immediately giving an answer. Of course, he didn’t really mind the idea of receiving a marking. In fact, it sounded like a rather nice idea. But, the brunette had always been a bit phobic of needles and, even more of a barrier, his mother would’ve killed him or either of his brothers if they dared to get a tattoo.
He bit the inside of his lip before looking back to Aud. Oh well. Nothing mattered except making his mate happy. This would make him happy, right?
“I understand,” Cameron nodded once more, smile returning to it’s usual place on his lips, “I would be honored to receive the markings.”

Audley could not help showing a small smile when Cameron agreed to join him in the marking. He didn't know what he would have done if his mate refused the offer, but was happy he would not need to think about that.
"Wonderful," Andre said, nodding. "We will begin the marking at noon. You will come alone this time. Your family has no need to be with you during this sort of event," he continued, clearly letting them know he knew about Kyle. Then he nodded and the two older men left, entering the room Audley and his leader were in moments before.
The Majikadai turned to his mate, smiling appreciatively. "Thank you," he said quietly. "Thank you for agreeing to this."

Cameron nodded, taking in the rest of the little bit of information about the event that the leader had to give him. He then watched for the two older men to leave before the half-Zercan turned, taking a few quick strides to his mate, and wrapped his arms around the smaller male. He had been deprived of closeness when the other had went into the room to talk with the leader. Even though he knew it was necessary and he actually rather liked said person, it still made him nervous and a bit agitated to not be able to even have him mate within his sight. But, that was just the standard protective Zercan nature and his own possessiveness that seemed to pop up from time to time.
“No need for thanks. I’ll do anything for you, you know?” He smiled, pressing his lips in a gently kiss against Aud’s forehead, “So, what do you we do now? Free the man outside from the oppression of babysitting duty and head back to your home until noon?”
Cameron laughed quietly. He could just imagine the energetic little boy bothering the poor Majikadai guarding the door to death. But, Kyle really was a cute little kid. He could only hope that whenever he and Aud had children, they would turn out so adorable.

Audley gladly returned the hug, just as happy for the contact as Cameron was. He was really starting to enjoy all this affection. Hugging, kissing.... The Majikadai smiled as he rested against his mate's body. His mate was the most wonderful person he knew. The man said he would do anything for him. And he was so understanding of Audley's people. He was very lucky.
"I suppose we should," the other male agreed amusedly.
The pair of them walked out of the Leader's tree dwelling onto the landing. There they found Kyle examining the guard's spear excitedly, and Rahal attempting to stop the little boy from swinging it around too much lest he hurt somebody.
"Kyle," he said sternly, just barely moving out of the way of his own spear as the hyper boy ran to his uncles. He had been quiet until he heard the two walking up to them, and then he had suddenly jumped up.
"Uncle Cameron look! I'm a spear weilder," he said importantly, swinging the thing around dangerous.
"Kyle, stop that this instant before you hurt somebody, including yourself," Audley said, eyes wide as watched the sharp part of the weapon fearfully.
"Aw, but Uncle Aud!" the boy complained. "I want to show Uncle Cameron how strong I am!" he pouted but stopped anyway, looking grumpy as the tool was snatched out of his hands by the owner.

The sight of the spear clutched within the young Majikadai’s hands was definitely an unnerving sight, especially when the little bundle of energy came running towards them. He simply nodded at the boy’s comment, though couldn’t help but to gently tug his mate back a bit instinctively as the child came closer.
“Don’t worry,” Cameron half-laughed and half-sighed of relief as Rahal finally took the spear back from the young boy. The half-Zercan shook his head, a smile falling back onto his lips, “I know you’re strong. You don’t need a big pointy stick to show me that.”
He looked from Kyle to Aud, pressing another kiss to his mate’s cheek as he tried to make up some lost time before shifting his gaze again to Rahal.
“Thank you for watching him,” He looked to Aud again, addressing his mate now, “Ready to lead the way?”

Rahal shrugged at the thanks, apparently still not feeling very friendly towards the newcomer. He held his spear firmly and silently took his post once more. Maybe he was offended at having his weapon referred to as 'a big pointy stick'?
Audley nodded, blushing lightly from the kiss as they now had an audiance. Rahal looked less than pleased, but Kyle did not seem to notice as he was sulking over what just happend. "Yes, let's get going," he said quietly. "Kyle."
The boy huffed and grudgedly climbed onto the other Majikadai's back as they made their way back down the ladder. It was very quiet having a suling little boy with them instead of one that was talking when he shouldn't be. Aud was a bit unnerved but didn't pester his nephew about it.
Once they were on solid ground Kyle jumped off hsi uncle's back. "You think I am too small to be holding a spear," he finally complained, giving the men accusing looks.
"And you are. At least when the spear you are weilding belongs to one of the Leader's guards. You are boy, Rahal is a man. If you would like a spear have your father make you one more your size," Audley replied.
"Uncle Cameron thinks I'm strong, so I should be able to have a big one! Right, Uncle Cameron? I should! I'm not a baby," he complained some more.
