Cameron waited until his mate had picked his clothes out of the dresser, turning when he was given the signal. He went about stripping out of the pajamas and slipping each article of clothing of his back on. As he had pulled his jeans up, secured them, and slipped the black leather belt into place, he heard the other announcing that he was finished getting dressed. He muttered a quick 'Just a second' as he pulled on his t-shirt again, straightening it before turning on his heel.
"I'm dressed," He announced as he sat down on the bed and began to pull on his shoes, unable to help but question the changing situation as he busied his hands with the laces, "So, any particular reason why we have to turn away from each other to change? You really don't have to be shy around me, if that's the case. You're my mate. Nothing will ever change the way I feel about you, especially not something trivial like what you look like naked."
He paused, giving a short laugh as he looked up to give him a playful smirk and a wink.
"Well, possibly it would, but it wouldn't be a negative change of feeling."

Audley crossed his arms and shifted uncomfortably. "And that's exactly why not," he decided after a pause. He wondered briefly if his face would just stay pink for the rest of his life. "My grandparents are in the same house! A-and if anything, um, I don't know," he muttered.
He stepped over to Cameron and grabbed his hand when he finished with his shoes. "Come on, we need to eat a big breakfast!" he said, tugging his mate along.

"Alright, alright. I won't bother you about it," He laughed quietly after the other explained, letting himself be pulled off of the bed and tugged away by the younger boy. If it had been anyone else, Cameron probably would've still went on with the issue and not dropped it until he got a satisfying answer. When it came down to things, the older male could be every bit as antagonistic and annoying as his younger brothers when he wanted to know something, but Aud was his mate. He'd control himself for the other, but everyone else was subject to his curiosity and persistence.

When they walked into the kitchen they were met with the smell of toast, eggs, and sausage. Isidore was just placing plates around the table, while Nicholas and Rhys sat in waiting, when the new couple walked in.
"Good morning," Isidore greeted them. "Ready for some breakfast? Did you sleep well Cameron?"

"Good morning," Cameron replied, taking a seat at the table, "I did. It was a lot more peaceful and quite to sleep here. Not a bunch of noise in the background. I really liked it."
The near-silence of the room was something that Cameron had liked. It was easier to fall asleep when there weren't any cars driving around outside or people yelling on the street as they went out to work of a morning whenever you were trying to sleep. Not to mention that there wasn't any bit of sunshine peeking in through the windows. But, best of all had to be the odd, but nice comforting feeling of knowing that his mate was just across the room. It was quite possibly the most restful sleep he'd ever had.

"That's wonderful-" the Majikadai started just as the door banged open and something sped into the room, latching itself onto Isidore's leg.
"Grammy I'm hungrrrrry!" the little boy exclaimed. Then the kid perked up and attacked Audley. "Uncle Aud I'm hungry give me food... please?!" he said pathetically and climbed onto his uncle's lap.
Audley laughed lightly and wrapped his arms around the seven year old to keep him steady. "No 'good mornings', Kyle?" Nicholas asked.
"Sorry, Good Morning!! Now food, please?" he said, grinning innocently. Then he noticed Cameron, who was sitting right next to him. "Who are you?" he asked. "I've never seen you before and you look weird."
"Kyle!" Audley exclaimed, offended.
"Um, no that wasn't the right word," he said, biting his lip thoughtfully. He was only seven, so he didn't always remember the right words to use. "You look.... Like... you are from some where else?"
"Foreign?" Rhys suggested.
"Yessy, foreign~!" he said happily. "Now who are are you and are you going to eat all your sausage because I'm really hungry!"
"Kyle, I'm making you your own plate, now quiet down," Isidore said sternly, but it seemed to fly right over his head because the little Majikadai was only paying attention to Cameron.

Cameron had been caught off guard completely, giving a slight jump as the door was thrown open. He turned in his seat to see the little boy charge in and run to Isidore. Assuming that this was one of the nephews Audley had told him about, he smiled. The energetic little boy reminded him of Keiran. When his brother had been younger, he'd always been the type that was constantly full of energy and couldn't burn it off no matter how hard anyone tried to tire him out. He watched in silence, giving his mate a smile whenever the little boy had found his way into Aud's lap and then looked over to question him.
"My name's Cameron and I'm Aud's mate, so I suppose that would make me your new uncle," He explained, giving Kyle a smile. It was cute how he'd mistakenly said he'd looked weird. Not that he would've taken offense at the comment even if 'weird' really had been what he meant. Unable to resist the youngest Majikadai's request for food, Cameron held his plate out him to take the sausage with a quiet laugh, looking over at Aud.

Audley smiled happily when Cameron glanced at him. He was being so nice to Kyle! Said Majikadai was grinning and reaching out for the plate. Isidore slapped his hand lightly and placed a plate in front of him next to Aud's. "Kyle, even if Cameron doesn't have a problem sharing his breakfast, he needs it. You have your own plate, you don't need to eat some one else's."
"Thank you, Grammy," he said, digging in. After he swallowed he looked up at Cameron curiously, realizing what the guy had said. "You're Uncle Aud's mate? Aaand my new uncle?" he asked. "Cool! Now I have three uncles," he said excitedly. The boy's uncle chuckled lightly as he ate slowly. It was hard to eat with a hyper seven year old sitting on you, but he managed.
Just then a man with shoulder length black hair peaked in, holding a toddler to his side. "Isidore?" he asked softly. "Is Kyle here? I saw him run off and- oh yes, you are here," he said, visibly relaxing.
Isidore walked over and took the child, smiling slightly. "Grab yourself a plate, Alexander. I'll hold Tyler for you," he said softly.
Alexander hesitated a moment before nodding. "Hiya Mommy!" Kyle said brightly.
"Kyle, baby, you can't run off like that," was the man's response.
"Mo~om," he complained, giving Cameron an embarrassed look. "I'm not a baby!"
"Yes, dear," the man said softly, shaking his head as he studied Cameron. "Who is this?"
"This is my new Uncle Cameron! He's foreign, not weird," Kyle informed him, nodding and then started eating.
"New Uncle Cameron...?" he repeated, looking between Rhys and Audley.
"Cameron is my mate," Audley spoke up, smiling but speaking quietly. "Cameron, this is my brother-in-law Alexander," he introduced.
"Oh, well, it's nice to meet you Cameron," he smiled.

Cameron couldn't help but laugh again as Isidore batted the younger Majikadai's hand away from his plate. He really hadn't minded to share his food with Kyle. After all, it wasn't like his mother was going to just let the two of them come back without whipping up something for them to eat himself. He had always been the type of mother to worry constantly about whether his children were hungry, as if they would drop dead the very moment their stomachs began rumbling. That was where having half of his father's genes came in handy. It wasn't hard to stay in shape as a half incubus. It was natural and quite unavoidable, actually.
He had returned his plate to the table and picked up his fork, gathering a bit of the eggs onto it and hoisting it to his mouth as yet another person entered the little home. Wondering if this black-haired Majikadai was his mate's second brother, he studied him quietly until Kyle looked over at him, returning the boy's look with an understanding nod. He'd been the same way when he was little--always the first to correct his parents that he'd never been a baby or a little kid in order to protect his pride. Looking back to the newest arrival when he was noticed again, he swallowed the bite he'd been chewing before giving Alexander a smile as Aud made the introductions.
"It's nice to meet you, too," He replied, suddenly noticing just how nicely his mate's family had taken to him so far. Actually, it made him feel a bit guilty. Sure, his parents, Keiran, and Ren had been nice to him, but both his brother Aden and his little hellion of a cousin Emlyn had given him a hard time. Not one person in his mate's family had shown any rudeness towards him. He would definitely have to apologize for it again later, just to try and clear himself of the guilt.

After Alexander fixed himself a plate, and they were all almost done or done with their breakfast, the door opened once again. A boy that looked a little bit older than Kyle walked in. His dark shaggy hair a sting of wooden beads tied into the front part. He nodded at everyone silently, searching out his mother.
"Mom," he said to Alexander.
"Riley," the life bearer responded, smiling at his eldest son. "Is everything alright?"
"Yes, I was just looking for you and the kids," he said. "Dad told me to check if you were over here."
"Come sit down, Riley," Nicholas commanded his great-grandson. "Have some breakfast." The man stood up himself, letting the boy have his chair.
Audley watched him as he silently gathered some of the deliscious breakfast on a plate. He was slightly surprised at his next question. "Who is the man sitting next to Uncle Audley?" Riley had always been very observent though, even at ten years old.
Before Aud could answer, Kyle beat him to it. "Our new Uncle Cameron! He's Uncle Aud's mate. Now we have three uncles!" he said excitedly, making his uncle smile.
The boy froze then turned, giving Cameron an unreadable look. "You are Uncle Audley's mate?" he asked softly. The lavender haired teen nodded, wondering what was going through his nephew's head. "But he isn't Majikadai," he said, looking towards his great-grandfather. "Grandfather?" he said questioningly, as if questioning his brother's truthfullness.
"There is nothing wrong with that," Nicholas said suspiously.
"Nothing...," he started indignantly. He paused before huffing and then sitting in the free chair, ignoring everyone around him moodily.
"Riley suffers from da mood... swings," he whispered to Cameron loudly.
"I heard that," Riley muttered and his brother eeped. "And it isn't mood swings." He looked at Cameron. "How do we know you're good enough if you aren't a Majikadai? Do you even have any tattoos to show your accomplishments?" Meanwhile Audley was speechless. He hadn't expected quiet Riley to be so bold to a stranger.
((Couldn't have Cammy feeling guilty, now could we?? ^_^ )) `

Cameron continued eating as yet another younger boy walked into the home and sat down, remaining quiet as he took a bite of toast. Again, he waited until he was noticed, but he'd already been beaten to introducing himself by Kyle. The younger boy's enthusiasm made him smile, even though Riley seemed to be taking far less kindly to him than the rest of the family had. The younger boy questioned his race--something Cameron had long since gotten used to it. When one half of your family tried not to associate with you because of your race, it would've been stupid not to try and learn how to ignore it.
The brunette wasn't quite sure what to say, though. He looked to Kyle at the younger boy's explanation of his brother's mood, but quickly looked back again when he had been directly addressed by the boy. For a moment, he was speechless, just like his mate. After thinking for a second, though, he smiled slightly, giving a small nervous laugh.
"Not exactly. We don't exactly use tattoos as a way to show anything significant on Zerca. I'll admit that I'd not exactly done anything worth mentioning, either," He explained carefully, a bit nervous. It was odd how he could talk to complete strangers without the smallest bit of trouble, but this young boy--his new nephew, at that--made him hope he didn't come off sounding like a complete idiot. Cameron turned his head to give Aud a small smile before finishing his explanation, "But I do love Aud more than anything. I would do anything for him, as long as he was safe and happy."

"You... live on Zerca?" Riley asked slowly. The boy bit his lip lightly, and kind of tilted his head in a shy way as studied his new uncle. That made Audley smile slightly. Everyone knew the ten year old always had a fascination with Zerca. Well, Zercans. They could change into panthers and other large cats, and it was so important to them to find their mates. He was just fascinated with that species. And it was one of the few he respected as hightly as his own.
It also made him believe Cameron more at his declaration of love for Audley. If he was Zercan, he wouldn't lie about that, right? He didn't want his uncle to get hurt. And even if the man had achieved anything, if he truely cared that much about the lavender haired Majikadai, then that was alright.
"So that means you're Zercan?"
"He's half Zercan," Audley spoke up, smiling at his nephew.
"Oh," he muttered. He looked down a moment before looking back up at the newest member of their family. "So you can change into a panther, right?" he asked excitedly.
"Mood swings," Kyle coughed, and was repemended by his mother quietly. The boy only looked sort of sorry, as he was only sort of listening to Alexander. He was anxious to hear what Cameron had to say too.

"Only half, like Aud said," Cameron nodded, giving the younger boy a smile. He was glad to see that he had seemed to change Riley's impression of him so quickly. It really hadn't been that hard, either. He nodded again at the second question, giving his mate a look out of the corner of his eye before answering, "I don't really like to switch between forms, but I can. It feels funny."
He could've went into detail of just how weird it felt--how odd it was for your bones to change lengths and sizes, muscles contort and shift, and all that wonderful stuff. But, it was hardly appropriate to discuss over breakfast and, even just thinking about it, it gave him a small shiver.
"If you're interested, you could probably see for yourself whenever we leave," The brunette offered, "It's the only way I can manage to get back from here to the city, at least, without falling out of the trees and breaking my neck."

Kyle gave Cameron a confused look. "Why would you fall out of the trees?" he asked.
"Well, Cameron didn't grow up out here in the forest like we did," Audley explained. "He grew up in a city, where they don't have as many trees. But they have a lot of big buildings and the ground is made of black rock."
The little boy's eyes became wide, and his mouth formed an "o" shape. Before he could say anything Nicholas cleared his throat. "Where is your father, Riley?" he asked.
"Hm? He's at home, Granddad," he answered. "He'll probably come over here soon since I didn't go back home."
"Daddy has a lot of tattoos," Kyle informed Cameron proudly.
"Daddy is also almost thirty years old," Alexander put in.
"Wow, Daddy's oooold," the boy giggled. "How old is Uncle Cameron?" he asked the half Zercan.

"I'm twenty-one," Cameron replied to the youngest boy's question, giving him a half-smirk, "Would you consider that old?"
Even though he really was twenty-one years old, it still sounded weird for him to say. In all honesty, he didn't feel like he was a day over seventeen. Or rather, he had felt like that for a long time. Not much had changed over the past few years--sleep late, go to work, spend the money on whatever meager supply of food and whatnot that would last him for the week, take a trip every few weeks, and spend the rest of his free time doing whatever he wanted to. He certainly hadn't lived much an 'adult' life. But now he had a mate, and he knew he would probably have a family in the making soon. He hadn't even thought about it until Kyle had declared his father old at thirty. It was going to be different, having actual responsibilities outside of getting the rent in, paying the bills, and showing up to work every now and then. But, then again, the rewards were much, much greater in return.
