Audley grinned and nodded. "Yes, I think we have," he agreed. He couldn't stop smiling! This was just so exciting and he was so happy. Now he knew why Zercan's saved holding hands for their mates, because that feeling of warmness and wholeness was just amazing. That kiss was even better, though. While the kiss on the forehead had sent shivers done his spine, a kiss on the lips sent shivers and warmness as well.
The teen laughed lightly, too happy to keep it in. He wrapped his free arm around Cam's waist and gave him a sort of hug as he squeezed his hand. "I can't believe this," he said, smiling happily.
All thoughts of his village and finding produce stores and the Prince left his mind. The only thing he could think of right now was Cameron and being with him. Who would have thought that after all the talk about mates... all they had to do was reach out and they would be touching him. It was just all very funny to him, but he was very happy about it.
Audley looked down at their intertwined hands and smiled. There hands felt and looked perfect with each other. He rested his head on Cameron's shoulder. The other male was a few inches taller than him, so it was easy to do. It felt comfortable and he thought he could just stand here with his mate all day.
(( It's alright. ^_~ I miss things like that once in awhile too. ))

"You're not the only one who's shocked," Cameron mused, slipping his arm around the younger boy to return the hug. The half-Zercan was far from being inexperienced when it came to dating, but this was unlike anything he'd ever experienced before. Even just holding the other's hand while they stood there and held each other was amazingly nice. When Aud's head came to rest on his shoulder, he laughed quietly. This was just too nice.
"I guess I'll definitely be late now," He added, something occuring to him, "I suppose I should let my family know so they don't have to wait on me anymore, unless you've changed your mind and want to go back to Zerca with me now?"
The last part of his statement hadn't been entirely serious as his tone of voice would have easily shown. It had occurred to him that he'd probably end up spending more time in Jeskara than he had originally planned on, but that idea wasn't unappealing at all now. He did intend on taking Audley to his home sometime, though he'd leave the question of whether to stay there up to his mate when the time came to decide. Right now, though, he was just happy with where he was. The big decisions could be put off until later. They had just found each other, so things like that could wait for a while.
"I'll call them in a minute," Cameron mumbled, leaning his head over slightly to rest against his mate's as his eyes closed. A content sigh escaped him, "Right now I don't want to move."

Audley smiled from his relaxed position against Cameron. "I don't either," he murmured. No, he didn't want to move at all. Being with his mate was perfect. If he had the choice, he would want to stay like this forever. Just standing there in the other's arms made him happy.
But there were important things they had to talk about. Cam had to call his parents and tell them... Audley had to tell his village the news. He would have to move away from the village as well. They would probably move to Zerca, and stay in his mate's home. There was no way he would allow his mate to live in the forest. No way. It was too dangerous, and the man complained about camping for a week. He wouldn't survive out that. At least he wouldn't be happy there. So they were definately moving to Zerca. That was what Audley assumed, anyway.
"Am I going to meet them?" the lavender haired boy asked, looking up slightly. "Your family, I mean."

"Of course," Cameron smiled, "They would kill me if I didn't introduce you to them."
He could just imagine how well his mother would take that. The Zercan would have went spastic, he was sure of it, which was a non-issue anyway, as he had every intention to introduce them. Though, he had to admit that the thought made him a bit nervous, as was to be expected. It wasn't for any really important reason--just the normal. What would his mate think about his family? Would his family like Audley? Oh Gods, he hoped so.
"But, before that, I guess we should finish what we were doing. It wouldn't be good to just forget about finding that produce store..." He sighed at the thought of moving, still unwilling. In a sarcastic tone, he mumbled, "Maybe if we concentrate hard enough, a produce store will come to us. "
He really didn't want to move, but there were still quite a few things they needed to do. Time was wasting, though he was content to let it do so. When he finally unwrapped his arm from around the younger boy's waist, he kept his other hand intertwined with Audley's. He could use a cell phone and walk with only one free hand, right? He pulled the little silver phone from his pocket, flipping it open with his thumb. Quickly, he punched in a few numbers and put it to his ear.
"Where the hell are you?!" The voice that answered was undeniably angry. It was definitely Cameron's mother, "The reunion ended forty-five minutes ago! We've been waiting for you!"
"I went for a walk," The half-breed said casually, adding the next statement in on a chipper note, "You'll never guess what I found!"
The following silence on the line made it obvious that the man had guessed. Cameron smirked.
"I've got something to take care of first, but I'll be there in a bit. You don't mind waiting a bit longer, do you?" He didn't quite give his parent a chance to answer, "I'll see you in a bit. Bye."
He lowered the little device from his ear, shut it off completely, folded it shut, and slipped it back into his pocket. He didn't need his mother calling back every five seconds in his excitement now. Cameron looked back to Aud, amused smile still on his lips, "Ready?"

Audley watched Cameron talk on the cell phone interestedly. He had never seen a real cell phone before, since they didn't really need them out in the forest. There was no reason to call some on when they lived not even five minutes away from you, right? The teen had seen pictures of them before, though. It was funny how talking into a little metal device meant you were actually talking to another person.
When his mate was done, the Majikadai smiled and nodded. "Yes, I'm ready," he answered. He laughed lightly. "I wish just thinking about the store would make it appear. It would make our search so much easier," he sighed. And then he would be able to meet Cameron's family all the more quicker.
He wondered what his family would be like.... Well, one thing was for sure. The half-breed's mother would be excited to meet him. With all the pressuring Cam said he put on his son it was to be expected. Audley just hoped the man would be happy with what he saw....
Not wanting to start worrying about all that just yet, the teen started looking around them intently. Mate or not, his people would be very bad off without fruits and vegetables. It was the food they all preferred, and it was dieing out around them.
After awhile he sighed. "There are plenty of 'bars' and 'clubs' and tattoo places around.... But not enough food places. Do people really make you pay to have a tattoo?" he asked when he saw a sign stating the prices of different size tattoos.

Cameron nodded when the other said he was ready, begrudgingly willing his feet into motion. The slow pace he was walking at slowed marginally again after a while, his eyes searching for another produce store, but his mind on other things. He heard every word the boy spoke, looking back to him whenever he said something, but otherwise remained quiet, simply enjoying walking around with the other with, holding his hand.
"Yep, but that's because tattoos don't really.. have any significance to us. People get them for aesthetics only. Or maybe because they like pain," Cameron explained, wrinkling his nose at the thought. Ugh, needles. Though, something else the boy said had caught his attention when he mentioned the bars and clubs. Hmph, that added something else to the list for him to do. He would have to tell his boss that he needed a few more days off. There was no way he was going to go back home and resume his work schedule right off the bat like that. There were much better things to do, like spending every moment possible with his mate.
Cameron returned his gaze to the signs lining the sides of the sidewalk, carefully looking them over so that he didn't miss one. Though, one caught his eye immediately. Finally, another produce store. He just hoped this one would be willing to cooperate.
"There's a store over there," He announced, lifting his free hand to point at the little store. It wasn't that big, nor did it look all that fancy, but it had what they were looking for. Anything was worth a try.

Audley made a face as well, but for a different reason than Cameron. It wasn't the needles that bothered him, it was thinking about people liking the pain and getting a tattoo for that reason. The idea was really kind of disturbing. Not to mention gaining tattoos was such an important part of his people's lives that some one just getting one for fun didn't make sense to him either.
When his mate pointed out the produce store he perked up. He smiled at the other boy before kissing his cheek lightly. "Thanks," the Majikadai said softly before pulling the half-breed over to the store.
The inside of the store was very interesting to him. There were lots of shelves and refridgerators lined one wall. A few people were standing around examining the food. There was all sorts of people too! And none of them looked like they were worried about anyone harming them. It was actually kind of... nice.
Aud shook his head and pulled Cammy along beside him to a person who looked like they were in charge. The boy was behind a counter, and some one had to pay him for some fruit, so that's how he knew that was the guy he wanted to talk to.
"Hello," he said politely, if a little awkwardly. He hadn't realized how easy it was to talk with Cameron until just then. The teen wasn't one to talk much most of the time and he realized he didn't know what to say.... He cleared his throat and the boy behind the counter gave him an expectant look.
"Can I help find something?"
"Um, no. I came here in hopes that, um, my village could trade with you. We are in need of fruits-"
"I'm sorry but I can't help you-"
"Please! We are willing to trade anything with you except currency-"
"No, I really can't help you. I'm only the cashier. Let me get you the owner of this place, okay?" he said politely before disappearing behind a door.
"Oh," the Majikadai mumbled and let out a long sigh. "Am I doing this well?" he asked uncertainly. "I'm not really that good at negotiations..."

Cameron let the other pull him along, watching as Audley spoke with the cashier. At first, he was disappointed too when the man said he couldn't help him, misunderstanding his meaning just as the younger boy had done. But, he was relieved when the cashier went to get the manager. Good, they still had a chance. He smiled whenever his mate asked him about his negotiation skills, leaning in to press a quick kiss against his lips.
"Don't worry about it. You're doing fine. You're even cuter than normal when you're nervous, anyway," He teased, "But if you want me to, I'll talk to the owner for you."
Unlike his shy other half, Cameron wasn't all against talking to people. Besides serving drinks, socialization was mostly what his job back on Zerca entailed, and he was quite good at it. He'd been told that he was rather persuasive, at that. Being half incubus had it's perks, natural charm being high on the list. Normally, he didn't like using his charm to talk people into things. But, this was a different situation. His mate's village needed fruits and vegetables badly, it seemed. He really did want to help.
"But I really do hope they decide to work with us. It'd be a hassle to have to find another place to ask," Cameron sighed.

Audley nodded in agreement. It would be a hassle, and little disheartening if they were turned down again. Before he could say anything to Cameron the cashier came back out, followed by an older man. The man, whom Aud assumed was the boss/manager, was tall and skinney. He was pale like most Jeskarans and had wild red hair that he tried to tame with a hair elastic. Bright evergreen eyes met the Majikadai's and the Zercan/Incubus' in turn.
"I hear you fellows would like to make a trade," he said, making the question a statement. "Come back into my office and we'll see what we can do."
Audley and Cameron followed the man into the back room. The teen looked around at all the mess- boxes and papers scattered everywhere. But in some way he knew there was some kind of order. The man offered them two comfy chairs while he sat behind a desk.
"My name is Poe," he said.
"I am Audley Bohdan, and this is Cameron Ainsworth," Aud replied softly and nervously. "My village is in need of vegetables and fruits. Um, the ones that usually grow in the forest around us are dieing out. You sell these things in your store, I noticed, so I was hoping we could do a trade."
Poe laughed good naturedly. "You really get right to the point, now don'cha, Mr. Bohdan?" he said. "Let's see...." The man looked through some papers. "What are you thinking about trading with me? It will have to be something I can sell in my store."
"I-um," he stuttered, but Poe was patient. "Um, we could give you meat. There are plenty of animals around."
"That would be very nice actually," the red-head said, nodding. "Are you the leader of your village?" he asked. At the shake of the teen's head he continued. "Have your leader make a list of the different types of meats he can trade with me. And give him this list." He handed Aud a piece of paper. "All the fruits and vegies I sell are on there. Come back within the next two weeks, or some one else from your village, either way, and we can come to a deal."
Audley thanked the man gratefully, grinning happily the whole time. He hadn't expected it to go so smoothely! Now all he had to do was find Cheyenne and Turin. "That was easier than I expected," he commented to his mate once they were back outside.

Cameron sat through the little meeting quietly, listening intently. There being nothing for him to add into the discussion, he sat in silence, cracking a smile when the owner of the store--Poe, he'd said his name was--accepted his mate's offer. This was great! Now they didn't have to continue walking about the city anymore trying to find a store, though they still had at least one thing to do before they could wander off. They still needed to find the other two Majikadai, and then they were--or he assumed them to be, rather--free to do as they pleased.
"A lot easier, indeed," The brunette smiled at his mate, assuming his place beside Audley again once they were outside. He slipped his arm around the other's back, hand resting on his mate's side comfortably, "Now, where do you think Cheyenne and Turin went?"
The question had been asked more in a rhetorical sense than literal as Cameron turned his head a bit to the side to peer over his shoulder. Well, of course the other two had walked off in the opposite direction that he and Aud had wandered off in. Hmph, they had made it fairly far from the last produce store they had met the other two at and the half-breed figured the other pair had also covered a nice amount of distance, and while walking to catch up with them meant more time to spend with his mate, he really wasn't all that fond of walking in general. Briefly pondering their options, something came to mind. He looked over at the lavender-haired teen.
"We could probably find them faster if we got a taxi," He stated, looking over to the street. A few of the specified yellow cars were out and about, "How does a car ride sound to you? Or would you rather walk?"

Audley gave the fast yellow vechicles an uncertain look. For some one that had never even dreamed of driving in a car, actually having the choice to could be amazing... or scary. Well, Aud was one of the people where thinking about it made him kind of nervous. He knew Cameron wouldn't suggest something dangerous- he was his mate! But it didn't change the fact that he didn't trust something he could not control. His feet were just fine for him.
The Majikadai glanced at the other boy with his light brown eyes. "Walking is fine with me," he said quietly, stepping closer to Cameron. "There is no need to bother the taxi people when we can walk.... Unless you don't want to walk?" he asked, blinking. "Would you like to ride in the car? We can if you want to."

"If you want to walk, we'll walk," Cameron smiled at his mate before turning his gaze to stare down the sidewalk now. He started off in the direction they'd just came from slowly. Honestly, he didn't mind the walking, "I suppose I could use the exercise."
The half-breed's mind was tossed back to euphoric glee now that they didn't have to keep wandering and searching for a produce shop. With the worries banished from his thoughts, the impending meeting with his family came back full force. He figured the other was probably considerably more nervous about the occasion than he could have ever been, but still.. How would his family take to this? Well, obviously, his mother would've been overjoyed and not ashamed to hide the fact and his father, he guessed, would be much the same way, albeit much quieter. He couldn't quite make much of a confident guess on his brothers' reactions, though. It had been quite a while since he'd last spent any more than an hour or two in their company. By what he had to go on, though, those two were what made him the most nervous. As much as he loved them, they had both inherited his mother's occasional bit of an attitude problem. He just hoped they would either like Aud or at least wait until his mate wasn't around to tell him that they didn't like him. The last thing he wanted was for any one of his family members to not get along with his other half. Though, in the midst of his worrying, something came to mind. He looked over at Aud again, curious.
"Am I going to get to meet your family?" He asked, sounding hopeful, "I would like to. I mean, I don't want anyone thinking badly of me because I just came in here, got you, and took you away without introducing myself..."

"Of course you can," Audley answered with a surprised face. "I would never leave my family without saying good-bye, and when they found out the reason I was leaving they would want to meet you anyway. Besides that, I would like you to meet them. You wanting to meet them makes things easier," he smiled.
The teen licked his lips thoughtfully as he studied the expanse before them. The only problem with their meeting would be where it was to take place. He couldn't see his entire family traveling to the city, and he couldn't see Cameron trekking through the forest, either. This was a tough problem. Though it was one he really wanted to solve- needed to solve.
His family wouldn't be happy if they couldn't meet Cameron. They might come to the conclusion that their Aud's mate was a cruel person, and the lavender haired boy wasn't allowing the meeting because he was ashamed or scared- and that was definitely not the case. Or they may feel like he was ashamed of them.
Audley didn't want Cameron or his family to think he was ashamed of anyone, or anything else even close to that. He just didn't want anyone to get hurt.
Yes, his family was all full-blooded Majikadai. But his grandparents were starting to show their age, and his nephews were still young. If it were just his brothers he would not have to worry. They were strong, and old and young enough to trek through the forest safely.
Audley sighed softly to himself. He glanced up at Cameron. "It will only take me some time to figure out how the meeting will take place...," he said softly. He didn't even want to get started thinking about the meeting with his mate's family. Then he would worry about a whole bunch of other stuff and wonder if he was good enough... and if they would like to meet his family as well....

"Well, we've got more than enough time, so take as much time as you need," Cameron nodded to the other, "I don't want you to feel rushed or anything."
The brunette had just barely finished his statement whenever a taxi pulled over nearer to the sidewalk and stopped. The half-breed kept walking but looked back at it, figuring it a coincidence that someone needed to depart the vehicle nearest to them whenever there was plenty of open space on the side of the street elsewhere. He turned his eyes back on the stretch of sidewalk in front of him again when both doors of the yellow cab slammed shut. They had made it a few feet past the car when someone called out to them.
"Cameron!" The first voice called, followed by the grumbling of a second voice. The brunette looked over his shoulder and stopped as the two people approached them.
"Mom sent out the rescue party," Cameron looked towards Aud, a quiet, small laugh escaping him, "Probably thinks I'm running away now that I've found my mate."
"Mom is spazzing out back at our grandparents' house. You should have seen his face. Priceless," The shorter, brunette boy snickered. Keiran, the older of the half-breed's younger siblings, turned his attention to Aud suddenly, a smile on his face, "I guess you're his mate, right? I'm his younger brother, Keiran, and that's--" He indicated with his hand the marginally taller black-haired boy standing quietly beside him, "--Aden. We really didn't mean to intrude, but our mother was worried that Cameron would run off again."
Cameron painfully noted to himself that, however eager Keiran seemed to be to meet Aud, the youngest of the three siblings didn't seem pleased at all. The raven-haired teen had simply given his mate a glare, more or less, and then looked back to his older brother with an even more severe look. Great. This was one thing Cameron had definitely not wanted to happen whenever the time came for his mate to meet his family. What was Aden's problem, anyway? The brenette scowled, returning the glare given to him until, at last, Aden looked away and tried to act uninterested.
"Are you ready to go back?" Keiran asked, though the worried look still stuck to his expression as he watched both of his siblings glare at each other. When Cameron looked back and shook his head, not trusting his voice enough to not sound angry, Keiran nodded, "Mind if we follow you, then? Mom said to keep an eye on you. He'll kill us if we don't."
Cameron couldn't help but to give a short laugh, looking over at Aud, "I don't mind, if you don't?"

Audley stood next to Cameron shyly when some boys stepped out of the taxi. His mate said something about a rescue party, and then a boy with brownish hair started talking. A boy with dark hair stood silently next to him. The Majikadai could tell they were related to Cam right away. That didn't make him any less shy, though.
When Keiran gave him his attention he smiled back nervously. Aden didn't look too excited to be there though. Him and Cameron even had a glaring contest. What was wrong? Did Cam's brother really not like him that much? Or were the brothers having a fight? Audley didn't know, but it made him even more nervous.
The lavender haired boy glanced up when his mate spoke to him. He could tell the older boy was angry. It was in his body language, and the teen could just tell. It must have been a mate thing. "No," he said softly, shaking his head. "Of course I don't mind."
