Kezro sighed. "I suppose so...," he mumbled. He didn't really want to, but...
He rolled of the bed and stood up, stretching. Dov looked up at him and he smiled back down at his mate before he gently pulled Dov to him. He started to carry the other towards the bathroom, nuzzling his face in to the pale skin if the younger boy's neck.
The half Merman yawned as they got in to the bathroom and set the younger boy on the counter as softly as he could. They didn't have to worry about the removing of clothes...so he turned around and twisted the water handle on.
After he did that, he turned to look at Dov. "There. Now we'll get clean and all that."

Dov nodded and let himself slide of the counter, walking over to the shower. He stepped inside and a shiver ran down his spine when he felt the hot water against his skin. The white haired boy turned and smiled at Kezro.
He placed his hand on his stomach, closing his eyes as he turned his head upwards towards the water. Thought's crossed through his mind and he forgot for a minute where he was and what had happened. When he finally opened his eyes again he smiled at Kezro and took the other's hand, intertwining their fingers together.
The smaller one pressed his lips against his mate's, closing his eyes lazily as he enjoyed the closeness of the other. "I love you." He murmered against the other's lips before deepening the kiss.

Kez smiled and tangled his tongue with his mate's. "Love you too," he said when they pulled away from each other. He glanced down at Dov's stomach and his smile widened.
He dropped his hand to the flat expanse of skin and began to draw patterns on it. "Can you believe it?" he whispered, his voice hinting his wonder and excitement. "We're mates. We found each other and we're going to be parents in several months! How amazing..."
His face grew worried then as he looked up to the younger's face. "You don't think we went too fast...do you?" he asked.

Dov quickly shook his head. "No." He decided and leaned into Kezro.
--
((I hope you don't mind but I decided to skip some time ))
Dov looked at himself in the mirror, a sigh leaving his lips. He placed his hand over his stomach and felt the buldge which was slowly growing. The skin underneath his cold hand was warm and made Dov scared.
He let his hand fall to his side and frowned, looking at himself. The pressence of the little kit growing inside of him was certainly making itself known. Not only could you see it but Dov's mood had changed by time.
When he looked at himself he couldn't help but wonder if Kezro still wanted him all though he looked like a swollen balloon. Every morning he had woken before his mate, running to the bathroom in which he locked himself up for a couple of hours, throwing up and feeling horrible.
Dov felt his heart clench and crossed his arms, feeling tears burning behind his eyes. More then once he had found himself fighting with Kezro, argueing about the silliest things but it didn't make it less important.
Dov knew that Kezro probably didn't meant it but he noticed changes in his mate's behaviour, which caused him to not only worry but become jealous and suspicious all though he knew that there was probably no reason to be.
The white haired boy let his shirt fall back into place, covering his stomach before leaving the bedroom and walking into the living room. Kezro was gone and he was alone. He sighed and sat down on the couch, pulling his legs towards himself as far as he could manage.
Silent tears trailed down his cheeks and fell onto the couch. Dov knew it was wrong but sometimes he blamed the baby for the things happening and for the first time Dov started to doubt if Kezro hadn't been right all along, that things were going to fast for either one of them.

Kez smiled at his boss and waved goodbye as he began to pack up some of the computer equipment he had used that day. Ever since Dov had come into his life, he had discovered the need to make money, so had gotten a job. He did have to feed two mouths now and one of those mouths ate enough for two, so...
He didn't mind really. He just wished he spent more time with his mate. The poor Zercan seemed to have something on his mind a lot lately and snapped at the slightest thing. He knew that it was a common reaction to pregnancy, but he did worry.
The green haired man sighed as he put away the last piece in its spot. There. Now he could go home...He was really anxious to see to Dov. He himself had been having odd emotions running through him and he knew they weren't his. He just wondered what was up with his mate.
He had tried to ask, but the younger would either get angry or just brushed it off as nothing. Another sigh escaped him. He knew it would only get better after the baby was born, but until then...
Dov didn't know it yet, but he was saving up to buy them several nice, new things...Baby toys, furniture, clothes...and maybe...Maybe a house further out from the city. He loved the technology surrounding the area, but it was no place to really raise a family. Dangers were around every corner for those who hadn't had 'street smarts' engraved in them since infancy.
Of course, if Dov didn't want to move, they wouldn't. He did want to give the younger boy the option though. That was why he worked and kept it a secret. He wanted to give the money to his mate for a Christmas gift. He assumed he would have just enough when that special time rolled around.
He grinned as he finished up and left, heading for home. He could feel some sorrow from Dov's end and wanted to comfort the boy. Mood swings were horrible, but he could deal. Everything was going to be fine, after all.
The half Merman approached their house quickly and he walked up to the door, pulling out his key as he did so. He unlocked the door and pushed it in. Quietly, he kicked off his shoes and stretched.
"Dov? Where are ya, love? I want to say 'hello' to my two favorite boys!" he called out as he stepped in to the living room.

Dov quickly pushed his tears away and tried to smile, looking up. He let his back rest against the couch to relief some of the weight on his stomach. "I'm here." He said brightly and waited for Kezro to enter the living room.
He pushed himself up and started to walk towards the hall, meeting Kezro in the middle of the living room. "Hey." He mumbled and looked down at his hands, they were trembling slightly since he was still shaken from his earlier thoughts, knowing he shouldn't think bad of the baby.
Dov sighed inside himself. He's not even born and all ready I'm a lousy parent He thought to himself and tried to cover up the sudden pang of pain he felt inside of his heart. "How was your day?" Dov asked, looking up at Kezro.

Kez's smile wilted a bit as he slowly nodded. "Yes...I suppose you could say that it was good, but what of you? Dear, you look like you've been crying! Your eyes are all red...What's wrong?" he asked.
His hand came up and he gently ran his knuckles over Dov's cheek. He pulled it away and the top of his hand was a tiny bit damp. His eyebrows furrowed in thought, feeling the small pang from his mate in himself. 'What could have happened or is it just another mood swing?' he wondered as he also caught sight of the Zercan's shaking hands.
He pulled his mate into a hug as best he could and kissed the younger's ear. "Please tell me...?"

Dov went slack in Kezro's arms, looking over the other's shoulder. "There's nothing wrong." He hissed and tried to ignore the tears that were burning in his eyes.
"I'm going out...I'm getting crazy in this house." He said and pulled out of Kezro's embrace. "If I stay any longer I might kill myself." He continued and then turned around to face Kezro.
"I'm sorry, that's true..." He whispered, hoping he hadn't offended Kezro. "I like it here, being with you." Dov sighed, knowing that he had probably all ready said something that hurt Kezro's feelings.
"I'll be gone just for a little while." He finally sighed before he started to leave in silence.

Kezro felt his heart to break, but he had to shake himself out of it. It was just the pregnancy talking...right? He asked, "Um...Do you want me to come with you then? Well, could I...?"
He really didn't feel comfortable letting Dov go out by himself. Perhaps an it was irrational, but with the Zercan pregnant, he knew that it wasn't wise for him to be wandering around in the busy town. He just didn't want anything bad to someone he loved...That had happened enough in his life.
That, and he really wanted Dov to talk to him. "Please, love...I want to talk to you. I haven't seen much of you today..." he pleaded.

Dov let out a sigh of relief when Kezro said he wanted to come with him. He did want Kezro to come with him outside, he was to scared to go alone but he had to get out of the house for a little while. Staying inside all day with nothing to do was starting to make him feel unusefull and tired.
Dov held out his hand and waited for Kezro to take it in his own. When he felt Kezro's larger warm hand inside his own he smiled. "I'd really like it if you came with me." He decided and smiled.
When he looked up into Kezros' eyes he felt something damp rolling down his cheeks and he knew he was crying. "I'm sorry..." He whimpered and stepped away from Kezro. "For argueing, for being useless, for driving you away, for being jealous, being mad at you so much, for being fat, for everything..." Dov rambled. "And most of all for hating our baby."
When he heard his own words in his ears he gasped and covered his mouth behind his hands, the blood seemed to drain from his face and he turned white. He felt like he had to throw up, his stomach clenching as he realized when he had said to Kezro about their child.
Dov didn't think he had ever felt so ashamed in his entire life, saying those words to the one he loved, his mate. He let his head fall in shame, afraid to look at Kezro. Then he finally ran, hiding himself in the bathroom, locking the door.
He slid down it and started crying, biting his lip until it bled, drops of crimson forming on his lower lip. He tried not to scream out, finally covering his mouth with his hands again to keep himself from making any sounds.
"I'm sorry..." He whimpered, knowing Kezro couldn't hear him. "I didn't mean it." He whispered, once again to himself. He knew that he was right, he didn't mean it. He didn't hate their child, not really.

Kez felt his heart stop even before Dov ran off. The bottom of his stomach dropped out and he felt his skin grow clammy, despite the heat he felt building on his skin. He felt so pained, so sad, so sick, so...
He felt something scraping against his chest, digging into the skin. He looked down to see what it was and discovered it was his own hand, trying to get rid of what was causing him so much hurt. Why did it hurt?
He stared at the place Dov had once stood. 'For arguing, for being useless, for driving you away, for being jealous, being mad at you so much, for being fat, for everything...And most of all, for hating our baby.'
'...And most of all, for hating our baby'
'...for hating our baby.'
Tears began to flow and he did nothing to stop them. He hated to cry, but this time it was needed. How long they had been withheld...They came in such a quantity now, he was sure he would drown himself.
He had thought they were happy. Weren't they? They had a few spats, but it was nothing much. Just mood swings and the such. Typical stuff. All couples went through it...Right?
He didn't know what to do. He still loved Dov, he really did...but he loved their baby too. Did his mate wish to get rid of the boy before he was even born?
He choked at the thought before having to regulate his breathing again. Why was this happening? He slowly shuffled to the bathroom door and knocked against it. "D-dov?" he asked, his voice coming out as raspy and hard to decipher when he spoke. "Did you...Did you...? Nevermind. It...It's not your fault. I'm sorry," he said, sniffling.
He withdrew from the door and made his way into their bedroom. Quietly he laid down on the bed and curled up. His head hurt from all the crying. The last thought he had before floating into unconsciousness was, 'I wonder if it's because of me...? I'm sorry, love...'

Dov didn't know how long he sat there, how long the tears had stopped or how long he had remained silent. Eventually he pushed himself up, his body hurting and feeling exhausted. The white haired boy shuffled towards the bedroom and stopped in the door opening when he saw Kezro lying on the bed they shared.
He felt his breath hitch and quietly walked over to the bed. He sat down on the side, hoping that he wouldn't wake Kezro. Dov carefully brushed strands of Kezro's hair out of the other's face, his fingers burning when they ghostedover Kezro's skin.
"I didn't hurt the baby...I love our baby." Dov whispered, remembering Kezro's words from earlier but not even sure if that was what his mate had wanted to ask. It wouldn't be strange if Kezro was wondering about such a thing, not now that he had told Kezro that he disliked their child and showing that he was mental.
Dov rested his eyes on Kezro's face, tracing the dried traces of tears. "And if anyone should be sorry it should be me...I'm the one getting all worked up without a reason..." Dov frowned to himself, licking his dry lips. "Everything that's happening...I'm doing it to myself, thinking that we are drifting apart all though I am the one who won't speak or let you in...we aren't drifting apart...I'm pushing you away..."
"And I don't want too..." Dov sobbed, he tried to quiet himself, afraid that his mate would wake up. He placed a trembling hand over his mouth, trying to stop sobbing.

Kezro turned over and blinked his eyes open to look at Dov. He hadn't heard much, but he had heard the last part. "Then why?" he asked. His throat was scratchy from his emotions and from just waking up so it hurt to talk, but he needed to know.
He reached a hand up to wipe away his mate's tears, but stopped and brought his hand back down. "Why do you want to push me away? Is...Is, is it me?" he asked softly. "I'll leave if it is...You can have the house and everything...If it'll make you happy..."
He knew it would hurt. Mind-numbingly so, actually...To be apart from his mate, that was. He couldn't help it if the Zercan had grown to...hate him though. A small sob almost crept by his lips, but he figured that he needed to be strong in such a situation.
"I'm sorry if I pushed you to this..."

Dov shook his head quickly and started to cry even more. "If you leave my heart will break, I'll die." He sobbed, knowing that it was true. He wouldn't be able to live without the other, it was pain him and he wouldn't know what to do.
The smaller one looked away feeling the world around him crash and knowing he, himself, brought it to this. After a long time he finally whispered: "I'm scared..."
"What if I am a dissapointment, not only to you but also to our baby..." Dov turned to look down at Kezro. "I all ready am..." He muttered, more to himself then Kezro. The words made his heart break but he knew they were true, he was a dissapointment, even to himself.
He was acting like a spoiled child, he was hurting their...their family, or soon to be family... He was pulling it apart before it even began... He was hurting Kezro, he was hurting the one that loved him, that cared for him and was going to be the father of his child.
And all Kezro had done was love him and care for him, like any loving Mate would...and here he was, messing things up. Being a lousy mate...
And why...? Because he was afraid and scared, like Kezro probably was too. Scared because he was afraid he would be left alone, but knowing Kezro wouldn't leave him. Scared that something would go wrong. Scared of so many things that it made him crazy, that it made him push Kezro away...
The white haired boy leaned down the press his lips against Kezro's, his whole body trembling with sobs when Kezro didn't return the kiss. He pulled away and cleared his throat, looking away. "I'll be in the guest room..., if... if you need me..." He breathed and left quickly.

Kezro groaned and turned on his stomach, stuffing his face into the pillow. He had gotten up so caught up in his thoughts that he had no idea the kiss was happening until it was over, and by then Dov had left for the guest bedroom. Not to mention all the other stuff...What was he to do? Everything was going so wrong...
He pulled away from the pillow just enough to breathe and flopped onto his back. Dov was top prioritey...The question was though, what could he do to help the boy...? Fear was the major factor to how the other was reacting to everything, but how does someone help with that?
Reassuring his silver haired mate was all that came to his mind, but he wasn't sure that would work. At this point, he wasn't sure if Dov would even listen to him. Things had gotten so complicated, and the other seemed to be so 'off-and-on' sometimes...
Well, at least he knew what the problem was now.
The green haired man put a hand to his chin in thought and stared up at the ceiling. He himself knew that the smaller young man would be the perfect 'mother'. He didn't think the Zercan was a failure at being a mate either. He loved Dov...
In the last month, they had grown closer to each other with each day...It had been only more recently that this spike of fear had began to wedge itself between them. He knew about being afraid, but he knew that being the life-giver, Dov would have a harder time with the pregnancy. He briefly wondered if that fear would be present even after the birth of their son, but quickly dashed the thought. He knew that one way or the other, he would help his mate out of this...slump.
Slowly, the half Merman crawled from their bed to set his feet on the floor and get up. He shuffled his way out the door and next door to the guest bedroom. He pushed open the door so slowly that it made a creaking sound as he went in.
He saw Dov wince at the sound from where he was situated on the bed and it made him sad...He crept onto the bed and laid next to his mate, shivering slightly at the cold feeling the room gave off. He was tempted to cuddle against the smaller boy as he always did when cold, but didn't for the thought that he might be pushed away if he did.
Still though, this was hurting him on the inside beyond all belief...and he knew that it was affecting Dov probably twice as much. This needed to be done. They needed to work it out, or else...
"Tell me what to do to help ya, love...Hear that? Love. I love you. I honestly think you'll be a wonderful parent and I already know you're a wonderful mate - no matter what ya think. I promise...I blame none of this on ya, so don't think that. Please, just tell me what would help," he said, whispering to his mate's prone body.
