Ashlyris smiled and shook his head, chuckling. "That's a baby for you. And I'll tell you now, he will not be planning to settle down until he is at least an adult. If he's not moving, he'll be sleeping. Whether he is born or not," the older man said.
Kezro rubbed his neck and shrugged. "What can I say? I was a curious child...Always on the move."

"Really?" Dov asked, raising an eyebrow. He chuckled and looked at Ashlyris. "Well, at least I know that it's Kezro's child then." He laughed softly and smiled.
"I'd love to know what Kezro was like when he was a child." Dov whispered. "Would you mind telling me?" He asked happily and grinned at Kezro, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
He really did want to know about Kezro as a child. He was such a nice and warm person, it made Dov wonder if he was like that when he had been a child.

Ashlyris smiled and nodded, leaning back in his seat as he closed his eyes. "Let me think. When he was a baby, he was very calm and sweet. He loved to swim and was always laughing...Then, then...I can't remember," he said sadly.
There was a small pause before the frailer man opened his eyes and continued. "A year after that though, I begin to remember again. Kezronial was very lively. Always going around and touching things, examining them...breaking them." He laughed. "He would never sit still, it seemed. Still...He was thoughtful even at that age and always shared his toys with me when I was feeling down. He could tell," he said.

Dov smiled, listening to Kezro's mother. It made him smile to listen to someone tell him about his mate's past. It seemed that Ashlyris really loved his son and Dov hoped that it would be the same with his grandson. That thought startled Dov. He looked up at Ashlyris and smiled a little. This man was going to be his son's grandparent and he was truly happy with that idea.
When Ashlyris told him he couldn't remember Dov couldn't help but chuckle. When Kezro's mother continued he placed his hands in his lap and listened to the other. He could really see Kezro in Ashlyris' stories.
"Wow..." Dov chuckled and turned to look at Kezro. "Let's hope our child has less of you and more of me..." He giggled.

"Hey...," Kez said before smiling. "I came out all right in the end though, didn't I?"
Ashlyris nodded and looked down at his fingers. "Yes. You did. More then I could have hoped for considering..." he shook his head and smiled as he looked back up. "And now you have a mate and a child on the way yourself. You make us proud, Kezronial," he said.
Then the older man turned to his son's mate. "You...are a wonderful person from what I can tell. I look forward to meeting and talking to you again. We are family now, after all. Even if it did take my son a while to remember me." Kezro ducked his head and his mother smiled. "But I forgive him. It's what parents do. Not to mention that it's only fair."
