"...So, do you like him?" Kezro asked his mother quietly as he pulled down some teacups from a cabinent. He looked over at Ashlyris as he passed the cups over to the other man with a questioning expression.

The Merman chuckled softly as he took the cups and put them next to the stove where he was heating water. "My dear Kezronial...He seems like a charming boy. Perhaps a bit timid, but I take it that he's just nervous...Honestly, if he is your mate, I'm sure he is perfect," Ashlyris said. The kettle whistled, so he began pouring the water into the cups.

Kez smiled at his mom, looking pleased. He really did love Dov and he wanted his mother to like the younger boy as well. They were now related, after all. He watched as the frailer man put a bit of salt in both his and his own cup before stopping at the Zercan's.

"I suppose we should get out there before Dov gets even more anxious," the blue haired ma said, picking up the tea tray before his son took it.

He said, "I got it, mother...Let's go," before they went back into the living room.

Dov sat back on the couch, looking around the room. His mind wandered as he thought about Ashlyris. He really did want the merman to like him. He felt his heart race when he heard footsteps coming back into the living room area.

He looked up and smiled when he saw Kezro and Ashlyris. He tucked strands of his hair nervously behind his ear and looked up at the other two. Dov wrapped his hands together and intertwined his own fingers, the nervous feeling returning twice as hard as before.

"Thank you." He whispered when his tea was placed in front of him.

Kezro smiled softly at the boy before moving to sit next to him. He wrapped a gentle arm around Dov's waist and looked over at his mother. He wasn't sure how to start the conversation exactly...

Ashlyris just smiled at his son and his mate. "Quite alright," he said quietly in responce to Dov's question. He picked up his own cup with slightly shaking webbed hands. "So, how long have you known my son...?"

Dov looked at the life-giver and smiled a little. "Um, a couple of months." The white haired boy decided and looked at Kezro for a second.

The boy nodded to himself and turned to look at Ashlyris again. He could still feel the nervous feeling inside his stomach, turning around. Their kit was starting to get affected by it and moved around feeling restless. Viorel made Dov feel sick in his stomach and the white haired boy made a face, placing a hand on his stomach.

"I'm glad he found me." Dov decided and grinned. "I didn't know anything of this planet and I was completely lost..."

Kezro grinned back in agreement. "I'm glad I found you too, love," he said, smiling before he turned back to look at his lifegiver. "He didn't have a place to stay, so I invited him into my house and it just kinda...fell into place, I suppose."

Ashlyris knew the feeling, so nodded. "Well, yes...Being mates, of course it would just fall into place." He stopped to take a small sip of teas before frowning. "Though if you met several months ago, I don't see why you didn't come see me sooner..."

The half Merman rubbed his neck with a bit of shame and bit his lip. "We were a bit preoccupied with everything, I guess...You know."

"Indeed, I know...," the lifegiver said, glancing fondly at Dov's stomach.

Dov blushed a little. "I am very sorry that we did not come earlier." He said and then he smiled softly.

He took his cup of tea and sipped it slowly, looking around a little. Then he finally realized something and looked at Ashlyris, dropping his hands to his lap, holding the cup between them. "Can I ask you something, Ashlyris?" He whispered softly and glanced sideways at Kezro. "A-about the baby..."

Dov placed his cup back on the table and intertwined his own fingers, wrinkling his nose a little. He bit the inside of his cheek nervously. He didn't know if Ashlyris wanted to be bothered by his insecure questions.

Ashlyris smiled and nodded slightly. "Of course. I think that I remember everthing so clearl about that time...and a little after. The best time in my life...," he said softly, looking into his swishing cup of tea for a moment. He blinked suddenly then and looked up; his smile widening a bit. "Ask away, dear."

Dov smiled, glad that Ashlyris wanted to listen to him. "Well..." He whispered softly and bit his lip, feeling nervous all of a sudden. "The baby seems to be so restless...is that normal or is it my fault?" He asked softly.

"When I'm nervous he reacts to badly...what if it is hurting him?" The white haired boy asked, feeling lost. He didn't know anything about pregnancy and he didn't know if it was normal for the baby to move so much. Of course he was all ready a couple of months and it wouldn't take that long anymore but he still didn't understand if it was normal.

Ashlyris smiled slightly and nodded. "I remember that...Babies can feel your emotions even when they're not born yet. I read that your being nervous makes him nervous too. Wither that or he's trying to comfort you in the only way he really can at the moment. It's normal," he said in explaination.

He took a sip of tea before continuing. "For the times that it happens when you're not nervous or restless...It may just be that he's stretching. After all...What month are you on?" the Merman asked suddenly.

"Fifth..." Dov whispered and grinned. "I am nervous...before we know it Viorel will be born..." The white haired boy chuckled when he heard himself use the name of their kit. It was the first time he had spoken of the baby's name out loud.

Ashlyris smiled and took a sip of his tea. "That's a nice name...Wait, five months?" he asked, looking up again. Kezro nodded as his mother frowned thoughtfully. "And you just now came to see me, Kezronial? I'll have no time to buy my grandson all the things a grandparent should!" he said, tapping his chin worriedly. "I wonder if I'll have enough time to do all that..."

"M-maybe we can do it together?" Dov asked, smiling a little. He wrapped his hands together, wrinkling his nose. "If you don't mind of course..." He continued quickly.

"I'm getting crazy of staying home and being useless and Kezro's always working..." Dov looked at the man and smiled nervously. "I'm getting sick and tired of being useless..."

"O-of course you don't have to, I mean...if you don't want me to...to tag along..." The blonde bit the inside of his cheek, watching Kezro's life-giver.

Ashlyris smiled and leaned over to lightly pat Dov’s knee. “Of course I’d love for you to come with me. We can get more done that way,” he remarked before pulling away to pick up his tea again. “Though there is one question on my mind…Kezronial, if you know your mate is at home - pregnant, no less -…Why do you still work? You know they’ll let you have free time off for a few months with no repercussions…”

Kezro smiled slightly at his mother and ran a hand through his hair. “That was a surprise, ma…,” he mumbled before turning slightly towards his mate. “Um…Love, I know how much you dislike the house we’re living in right now sometimes…And I agree that it’s not the best place to raise a kit, so I’ve been working…And if you want, we now have about enough money to move to a bigger house somewhere further out.” His smile widened a bit and he shrugged. “Either that, or you and my mom can also add that into your shopping spree.”

Dov started smiling happily and wrapped his arms around Kezro's neck, pressing a kiss to the other's cheek. He shook his head, keeping his arms around his mate's neck. "You mean that?" He asked softly, feeling tears burn behind his eyes. Kezro was being such a wonderfull mate and Dov loved him so much for it. "Are we really going to move?"

Dov chuckled and looked at Kezro, pulling away a little. "That's so wonderfull!"

Kezro smiled and gave a half-shrug. "It's really not all that big a deal...," he murmured. "I just knew you were unhappy where we now are and it's not really a good place to raise a child."
