"What's an Eggo?" Albus asked as he pulled his phone from the bowl. He caught his faux pas a little late though. Humans were supposed to know what that was, right? "Er...never mind. Cereal should be fine," he knew what that was, "thank yo--fuck!" Albus jumped back, dropping his communicator on the table alright. The damn think was working properly now. The screen had flickered to life and it had just beeped loudly, signaling his location to anyone who was looking for him.
That wasn't what had scared Albus so bad though. It was the scowling Maverick on the screen, the red haired male looking upset with his hands on his hips. Hurriedly, Albus shut his A.I. off, not wanting to get chewed out.

Madi looked up at the boy. "Problem?" he asked, chewing on a straw.

"Not at all," Albus replied with a nervous laugh. "Just the beep startled me." He smiled at Madison before he went to grab a bowl and some milk for his cereal. "Thanks for feeding me and fixing my phone," he said once he was sitting at the table.

Madison shrugged. "No problem he said, rocking baby Ahiah in her carrier with his foot as he clicked away on his computer.

Albus ate quietly until he'd finished the bowl and put it into the sink. "So...er, what do you usually do during the day?"

"Why do you want to know, kid?" Madison asked, glancing over to the boy.

Albus flushed and bit his lip, looking away. "I'm not a kid," he grumbled. "I'm eighteen. And I was just curious. You know just about what other people do." How could he say he was interested in what people on Earth did?

Madison looked at the male. "What, do you not have any friends or something?" he asked. "What do you do for fun?"

"I have friends," Albus chimmed, "just not here. My brother is a geologist so I help him out a lot and stuff. I go to clubs sometimes too when my brother lets me. Do you like clubs and the outdoors and stuff?"

Madison chuckled. "I used to. Not much you can do when you have an infant to care for." Madi said, looking down at his sleeping baby.

"Mmh, I get that. I've never had a kit--er kid before. I'm the youngest in my family so I was never around that. What about you though, Madison? Is your mate not here?" Albus asked, suddenly concerned. Bearers should have givers to protect them and their young. It was only right.

"Mate?" Madi blinked. "Never really had one. My old girlfriend dumped me to run off to Italy, and left a baby on my doorstep.'

"Girlfriend?" Albus asked, before his brain supplied the word female. "Oh, I'm sorry." He knew the questions were suspicious, he supposed, but the thought of Madison living here alone and with a small kit unsettled Albus. "So...there's no one here to help you out then?"

Madi shrugged. "Why?" he asked the man. "I make enough money and I do just fine." he said, before the doorbell rang.
Madi stood, going to the door and taking the code off.
"Who's it?" he asked, as he pulled the door open.

"It's not really the money I was concerned about," Albus replied. "It's more like your being alone and with a baby." He bit his lip, trailing after Madison. He peeked around the male's shoulder to see who was at the door as well.
