"I do IT. I can try to figure out what's up," he said, going to the drawer to grab a screwdriver as he tried to figure out how to open the thing.

"Oh! Like a computer?" Albus asked, reaching over to point to the spot where Madison should pop the back off. "So you work with computers a lot then? What kind do you make?"

Madi shrugged. "I mostly just correct software bugs and coding. I don't really deal with hardware. I can build a computer, it just takes me ages and ages." he muttered as he slid the back off the thing.

"I see," Albus replied smartly. "I guess that's kind of like what I want to do, though I guess engineering is a bit different. I'm still only at the beginning of my schooling though." He shrugged, watching Madison inspect his A.I. Oh, he hoped Maverick was alright in there. The AI male would definitely have an earful for him later, that was for sure.

Madison just nodded, focused on the strange device. It was a bit waterlogged, judging from the small puddle that came from the battery case. "Did he drive you through a river before you got here?" Madi asked, blinking at the device, tapping it to get the water out.

"Er, something like that," Albus replied. He was beginning to think it was from Earth's dense atmosphere. He had noticed it had been cloudy before Madison took him into the house. Albus figured he was wet because he had passed through a bunch of clouds. "Do you think it'll be okay though?"

Madison blinked. "It just needs to dry out. It shouldn't be too hurt. It seems to be really well made, despite the fact I can't even identify the platform. "

Albus sighed in relief. "I told you, it's new. I don't even think they have it on the market yet," he lied. "I got it from over in...Japen," he added groping for Earth geography and praying he wasn't in Japan right now. "But if it dries out properly, then I know my brother will find me."

"Japan, huh?" Madison asked, glancing at the kid before going to drop the phone in a bowl full of uncooked rice.

"Yeah," Albus replied staunchly, watching as Mad dropped the phone into rice. "Is that supposed to help soak up the water?" He demanded anxiously.

Madison nodded. "Go shower. You phone will be fine."

"Ugh, alright. I don't smell that bad though." He gave himself a tentative sniff before he left Madison with his phone to go and take his shower. Half way through the shower, the day's events finally caught up with him. Albus barely made it out of the shower and into some pants before he collapsed onto the bed. Madison said he could use it after all, and he did, curling into the covers and going straight to sleep.

Madi made sure to lock his and his daughter's rooms that night and set the security system that would go off even if someone inside went out.
He sighed before heading to bed. He was awoken about 6 am with the sound of Ahiah wanting her brreakfast

Albus didn't stir the entire night. It was nearly ten before he rolled out of bed, the kit's crying not having disturbed him at all. Rubbing his eyes, he padded out of his room, his dark hair a mess and his sweats hanging low enough on his hips that it was obvious he wasn't wearing anything underneath.
"Morning," he mumbled when he found Madison, though made a beeline for his rice logged communicator. Was it still okay?

"Try it," Madison said, a pair of slim frames on his face as he lounged, shirtless, clicking away at a computer.
"I've got cereal, oatmeal, and some Eggos in there if you're hungry. " he offered.
