"Ahhh...."
Sigh.
"Wah..ahhh!"
Clickclickclickclick.
"Wahhhhhhhh!!!!!"
Madison sighed and pushed back his chair before standing and going over to the basinette by his bed. He looked down into the baby bed, picking up the baby girl inside and kissing her cheek.
"What's wrong baby girl? You sleepy?" he asked as the baby whined. "Shhhh my baby Ahiah. You hungry? You--" He blinked, catching a wiff. "Oh."
He said, moving to go to the baby's changing table to change her smelly diaper.
At 25, Madison Harper hardly imagined that he'd be a single father, IT tech taking care of a 4 month old baby. But here he was. Where he should be out partying, drinking, networking, getting laid and having the time of his life--he was here, doing this. Not that he was complaining. He'd laid in the bed he made, and had a beautiful baby to show for it.
Ahiah was one of the best things to happen to him, and his mom had been a great help in teaching him how to care for her. Lord knows he didn't know what the hell to do with a baby when he found her on his doorstep over three months ago with a note from her mother--a college fling he had forgotten about.
But still, Madison had decided to do the right thing, after catching an earful from his mother and grandmother, and he'd ended up here.
Finishing the baby's diaper, he carried her into his office, stopping when he heard a thud against his front door.
"What the..." he started, moving to the door. "Who is it? "

Trips through the teleporter were never something that Albus enjoyed, but they had never been painful. Until now. The zercan's body was jarred sharply and he nearly broke his teeth from the hit. Whatever he had slammed into was solid as stone, hell it probably was stone. He didn't get time to ponder this further before he felt his body solidify. Albus had hit the ground before he had managed to open his eyes.
Albus gasped at the unfamiliar sky, clear and sharp above him with unknown twinkling stars. He saw only one moon and for some reason it put him ill at ease. He shuddered, both from fear and the realization that he was dripping wet. Now how in the world had that happened. He look down at his soggy shirt and pants, blearily trying to piece together what had happened. He remember having gone on a joy ride with one of his friends, one that wasn't particularly liked by his family. They had a fight, he and Trigger, when Trig and pushed the ship into hyper space, cawing about foreign planets.
Again, Albus shuddered, wiping his dark hair from his face. Welp, he supposed the transporter had gotten the signal wrong, for he wasn't on Zerca, that was for sure. He started to try and draw himself up before he heard noise from inside of the house. Gasping sharply, he jerked into a half crouch, though only succeeded in tripping over the stoop he was on when his left leg gave. Hissing, he grabbed it, trying to drag himself up.

Madison placed Ahiah down in her room before going to grab his gun that he kept in the kitchen drawer. He moved to the door with the gun behind his back.
"Who is it?" he asked with a frown as he looked through the peephole before opening the door.

Albus groaned, his body aching as he managed to get to his hands and knees. Never, never, never again was he using a teleporter. His entire being felt rearranged and put back together wrong. At the frantic shout from the other side of the door, Albus groped for his voice. "No one," he called back, "forgive me for disturbing you." Was that was humans sounded like? He had been sure they'd be much more primitive.

Madison swung open the door. "What the hell..." he blinked, before looking at the man. "Hey, kid, are you alright?" he asked, tucking the gun into the back of his pants as Ahiah cried further back in the house.

"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine," Albus replied, pressing his hand back in supplication, not wanting the human to come closer. "Just had a tumble...wait a fall. I tripped," Albus turned slightly, wanting to catch sight of the human and his weapon. He smiled when he laid eyes on the lithe form of an obvious bearer. He even heard the noise of a babe further into the house. "Your kit is crying," Albus added faintly.

"My what? And how did you manage to fall on my porch?" He asked, looking down at the kid, stepping out to pick the man up off the ground.

"Uh, kid. Your kid," Albus clarified, greatly at the hands that helped him up. He leaned heavily on the human for minute as he tried to find his legs again. They felt like jelly and were threatening to give out on him. At the question about the falling, Albus looked confused before he shook his head. "Er..I was walking by?"

Madison blinked. "Why are you wet?" he frowned. "And where did you come from, kid?" he asked, lowering the male to his porch swing.

Albus's body immediately relaxed onto the swing and he sighed audibly. "I guess you could say I'm lost. I got dumped here by someone he used to be my friend. Er, that's why I'm wet." That asshole Trigger, Albus thought. When he saw the male again he was going to kick his ass. "I'm sorry for causing you trouble," he added, tossing the human bearer a heat melting smile, wondering where is mate was.

Madison looked around his rather lonely country house. The place belonged to his great grandmother and his mom had been gifted the house. She gave it to him to live in while she took care of his ailing grandmother in New Orleans.
"Okay..." Madison shook his head, running a hand through his short black hair. "WHat's your name, kid? There's no way you're getting away from here tonight. Busses don't run till Monday. "

Albus wrinkled his nose. "A bus?" What was that even? Oh, wait. That was supposed to be a thing humans used as transports. Inwardly groaning, Albus wished he had paid more closer attention in his human studies. "And my name is Albus. What's yours?"

"I'm Madison." he said, before looking at the kid. "Empty your pockets." he said. "Anything you got on you. And, when I let you into my house tonight, I will be keeping an eye on you. I will shoot you--in the head-- if you steal anything, or try to hurt my daughter. Do you understand?" he said eyeing the boy distrustfully.

Albus stared at Madison curiously, his head cocked and his dark eyes glowing softly. He finally shrugged and pulled out his pockets. The only thing that fell out was his AI, but it was useless after becoming mysteriously water logged. He kicked off his shoes and then peeled off his socks next. "Uh, is this okay?" He flapped his shirt, showing off nothing but a slim chest that still was edging its way to adult hood.
"And why would I want your baby? They cry too much." He wrinkled his nose again in an immature fashion. "I hope my brother manages to find me since my...er, phone? is broken." Albus gazed at his A.I. sadly, knowing he was going to have to replace it.

Madison looked at the boy before nodding, satisfied. "Hand it over. I can take a look at it." he said, before moving to open his front door. "Come on in. Leave your shoes by the door. I'll get you some clothes for a shower." he said.
