The sound of footsteps and a growl from outside reached Talen's ears making him tense which was made worse when Killian pulled him against his chest. He watched with caution as a man walked into his home and spoke to Killian. The man turned to glare at him and Talen stayed silent but glared back at him. He wouldn't let himself be intimidated in his own home.

So they wait a bit and then the Wizard giver shows up. He simply points to outside and Killian sighs before, "Hold on... I'd like you two to meet my mate, Talen."
"What?" His giver growls and his bearer gasps before ranting.
"Don't tell the world! Someone could use that against you, stupid boy!" The blond listens, waiting for his mother to finish.

Talen stood still by Killian's side, shocked at his parents reaction. Killian seemed to love the idea of having a mate that he thought his parent must have been similar. Instead they seemed angry.

Killian rolls his eyes at his parents, "I'll keep both me and Talen safe, now..." His tone is icy and his expression is one that you don't arge with. "... Lets get moving, shall we?"

Talen slipped his hand into Killian's wanting a bit of comfort. Killian's bearer didn't scare him but he could Killian's giver looked like a powerful man. He let Killian pull him out of the cave and into the clear opening.

"We're gonna transport now," Killian whispers to his mate and gives his hand a squeeze as they do just that. Reappearing outside a brightly lit building called Lynx's Inn. Sounds of drunken laughter reaches them and the elder couple enters first. "And don't worry... This is only a stop... we'll be headed home in the morning."

Talen tensed and gripped Killian's hand tighter as they appeared outside the inn. He tried to calm himself as he followed Killian inside. He hated crowded places like this, he'd always tried to avoid them.

Killian presses a kiss to his mate's forehead and gives his hand a squeeze, "I'm here, its alright." And he leads Talen in the only one noticing them is a cute little bearer as he zips by to set drinks down at a table.
"Hey Kill, nice catch, normal room?" The bearer had rushed and now returns with a bright smile before frowning at the nervous thing that the blond giver now is holding in a tight embrace. "Awe, c'mon. We'll get cha settled in upstairs, much less noise there~."

Talen relaxed slightly in Killian's arms but still kept glancing around nervously. He couldn't wait to be away from the crowded room. He jumped slightly when a bearer started to speak with Killian and watched him cautiously.

"Thanks, LJ," Killian says relieved as their lead to the stairs and a set of two keys float towards them as they do.
"No problem," LJ says as he takes them up the stairs and shows them to their room. "The usual amount of credits?" Kill nods and the keys are handed to him so they can enter their room. A one bed, small attached bath, olden day styled room.
"C'mon, Tal... Lets get ready for bed."

Talen nodded his thanks to the bearer before he entered the room. He sat on the end of the bed and looked down at his hands. "Your parents are...not what I had expected."

Killian laughs and stretches his arms a little before plopping down next to his mate, "Really now? Why do you say that?"

Talen let his head rest on Killian's shoulder and let his eyes close. "I thought they'd be more like you, but they seem very cold."

"Yup, that's them," He says warmly and lays his head on top of Talen's and wraps him in his arms. "But they mean well... And will come to love you."

"I really doubt that." It already seemed like Killian's bearer didn't like him and Talen wasn't really a people person. He sighed and leant further into Killian's side, trying to stay awake but failing.
