Talen looked back up at Killian before closing his eyes deciding to tell him. "It's my past. We lived in the forest and were constantly moving around and one night we were found by a Vamypres." He paused and shuddered at the memory of it. "I don't remember all the details except that I fell and because of me my Giver was killed." He took a deep breath to calm himself. "My life sort of went down hill from there."

Killian's eyes are shadowed when the story is over, his fork for his food somehow had made its calm and carefully silent way into the wood of the counter. It takes a moment for Killian to look up and when he does its with a soft and caring expression, he reaches out and holds his mate to him, "Don't worry Talen. I'm here to make it all better." And he's not kidding, he'll find the vampyre who did that and then he'll make him go through the same torture as his mate. As his mother always says: And eye for an eye.

"I know" Talen spoke to himself. He opened his eyes again, pushing the memory to the back of his mind. "That's all in the past now. I've got to focus on what's happening now." He finished his meal in silence, pretending that the memory didn't bother him but he took Killian's hand in his for comfort.

Killian squeezes his mate's hand, trying to hold back the rage vibrating in him. When he feels its becoming to much he simply leans over and kisses his mate, "Love you."

Talen could tell Killian was trying to hold in his anger and he squeezed his hand back hoping to return some of the comfort Killian was giving him. He returned the kiss softly, his cheeks flushing "I...I may be falling for you." He couldn't say love yet but he knew he as definitely falling for the blonde male.

This definitely helps said blond as his thumb strokes along his mate's hand. This is when his father makes an appearence, grabs a coffee and an apple from the bar and goes to sit a crossed from his mate. The two bearly glancing each other's way, but under the table, if one was looking, they could see the two playing a cute little game of footsie.
''Parents," Killian rolls his eyes, embarrassed by they way they treat each other. "Its worse when you sleep next to them in the cave... Ew, just ew." His nose wrinkles as his anger disappears for the moment, to be called back later during his training.

Talen smiled as Killian held his hand but it slowly faded when he saw Killian’s father enter. Talen watched the man pass by, not even glancing at the two, and sit by his mate. The two didn’t act like a loving couple but as Talen watched carefully he could see the two had their own way of showing that they cared.
He turned back to Killian when he spoke “It’s not so bad. It shows that they do care and are not so cold.” To Talen it made them seem less intimidating. He wondered if he and Killian would be like that at that age. He paused at the thought and blushed slightly, shaking his head. Even though the thought shocked him he couldn’t help the content feeling it gave him.

Killian smiles to Talen and laughs a little, "if you say so." He gets from his seat and lays down a tip. "lets head out for a bit, the rents will catch up when their done being... Parents." He shrugs and heads for the door after letting go of his mate's hand.
"We can scout out a head or, I guess behind, seeing how they'll probably exit closer to our home."

Talen followed Killian out, staying quiet as Killian spoke, not really knowing how to respond since he couldn't remember much of his parents together. He joined Killian outside looking around a bit, he didn't get to see much yesterday as they had rushed inside.
"I don't mind, lead the way."

Killian waves his hands up into the air, "Look about you~ We're about three miles from my home." He gestures to the low mountain terrain. "Nice place to be dropped off at, huh? We can scout out the hot springs on the way up."

Talen looked around him, taking in the mountainside. He felt calmer out here, away from the people inside and the gaze of Killian's parents "I'd like that."
