Of Ukes and Smoothies (Zehl/Kau-MATURE)

Kau just stayed quiet, his sobs slowly dying down. He gently kissed his babies' foreheads and gently nuzzled them. He knew if he tried to explain himself or even speak he'd just go back to crying. He just wanted to sit there till he calmed down.

'Daren..... I need you..... please.....' sounded Abel's voice within Daren's ears.

[mesmu]

Daren takes off in that moment, quickly heading to his mate's side. Abel needs him now!

Triem shakes his head, "We'll be fine honey, stop worrying." Nebula leans against Henry and mewls about his parents.

Zehl frowns at the feel of the home, "When this is over we go to Zerca. No ifs ands or buts about it either. We won't survive another attack like this." Gravity purring to his mother, Its okay~

And the rest of the Haelyn's hold their breath.

Henry just frowned worriedly. He then looked down at nebula's mewling, knowing instantly that the kit was worried for his parents. He pulled nebula into his arms and soothingly rocked him, "There there Nebby, they'll be alright baby." he said softly, trying to comfort his nephew.

[squabbel]

'Darren, before you come in, there's something I must share, something you and Zehl both need to know,' said Abel's voice from inside his mate's head. 'There allot of things I don't want to share, and don't seem to make since to you, inside of this hall are all my deepest darkest secrets, left here to fade into nothingness. This is where your answers lie, and where they must stay, I'm so sorry,' Abel's voice was weak and labored, it sounded like he was trying to keep from crying.

Kau just sat there and gently nodded, still staring down at the floor, staying close to his mate and kittens. Zero looked up at his mother and rested his head on his chest not knowing of anything else to do.

Nebula purrs to his uncle and Gravity copies his brother. Zero would know what to do in this moment better, right?

Zehl holds his mates and whispers soft, "Its going to be okay"s over and over again, much like his twin had earlier. Triem just stays close to his mate, not knowing what else to do.

Sheba, Zar, and the rest of the Haelyns wait. Unsure of pretty much everything. But Zar does state, "How far along is that human?"

Daren goes to the blocked door way and works at the mental piece in the way for a moment or two before entering.

Henry smiles down at Nebula. His ears then perk up at the sound of someone asking how far along he was. he looked up to Triem, "Tri, how far along am I? I actually lost count."

[squabbel]

Kau just sits the for a while before gently pushing Zehl away, to look up at Daren just before he walked inside, he looked up to his mate and simply mouthed the single word he wanted to say, "Follow," his eyes welled up with tears once more as he pulled his kittens close and closed his eyes tightly.

Inside the hall was nothing anyone could expect, on the walls were pictures, but not just any kind of pictures, pictures of how Kau lost all freedom, how he was tortured, and just how unsafe this home really was. Abel lied face down in the middle of the floor, blood splattered all about him, his hair had turned into a dull gray and his skin a pale white. His features had grown older and he didn't even look like the Abel that had gone inside. He was just barely breathing but it didn't seem like he was conscious. 'I was the one who did that all to Kau, now do you know why I was so worried about the baby?' Abel's voice asked Daren. 'When I first found Kau I loved him with all my heart, much more than anyone could love another, I was just so lonely. When he grew older he wondered why he was so different from me, and I knew then that eventually he'd leave. At the time, even though I loved Kau, I was still under the influence of my family, well the darker side that is, which made a very cruel man.' said Abel's voice to both Daren and Zehl. 'I was the man who took care of anyone who went against my family, and that itself created a bad reputation, I didn't know of any other way to keep Kau here, so I took away his legs so he wouldn't be able to run away. I took away his eyes to keep him from becoming enchanted by a handsome man's features. And I took away his voice so no one could fall in love with his sweet, beautiful voice and try to steel him from me, I took away his beauty and basically turned him into a dog that would remain by my side for an eternity,' Abel's voice seemed to be struggling with the words as if he was crying.

'I'm so sorry, I'm not a bad man, well at least not now. I've apologized for it everyday since I met you and even before then. I've felt so bad at times that I'd drown my sorrows away in vodka and wine, sometimes if I'm bad enough, human beer,' he continued, 'I just don't want to do it again, I'm so scared, I want my baby to be happy, and you too Daren, but I don't know if you love me anymore, now that you know that,' said Abel's voice, full of sadness and desperation.

Triem smiles softly to his mate, "Can't be more than a couple months Ry." Then his sense are perked when he feels a part of him being torn away.

Zehl is silent, staring at his elder bother, Daren, as he kneels next to his mate. The elder Zercan's eyes are closed and he is shaking his head, almost disbelieving. But then amber eyes, soft and loving, open, "Of course I love you, mate." And then are turned to cold and distant ice colored ones. "Please Zehl, I know its against everything we were taught, but I need Abel. Kau needs him. Your nephew needs him. Even you have been touch by him, even you--"

"No," Zehl growls and he now has his ears covered, much like his younger son does often to hide his face. "I can't... I CAN'T FORGIVE A MONSTER!!!" Zehl's heart cut off from everyone, including his own mate. He made this decision, its his hatred to bear.

Henry looks at Triem concerned, "Tri? Whats wrong?" he asks, cuddling against his mate.

[squabbel]

Abel's body remained unmoving, his voice silent, Abel was currently helpless and if Zehl wanted revenge now was the perfect time. His body was starting to break down and was unable of moving.

Kau looked up to his mate and bit his lip till it bled, Zero mewing quietly as he lapped it up, shaking thanks to the tension that hung in the room. Kau kissed his babies' heads before getting up and gently stumbling towards Sheba, his eyes dark. Kau held out the young, confused twins before walking away and heading down the dark hall towards his beloved father. He said nothing as he knelt at Abel's head, gently petting the thin hair. His eyes were red and swollen but no tears fell, and his lips refused to frown. He wished that this day would have never come, his life had become so perfect up till now.

His heart had become empty what emotion he had was ripped away when Zehl had cut him off, he was alone once more, empty. He strapped on one of his claws and returned to petting Abel's head, but he didn't say anything, if Zehl wanted Abel dead he'd have to kill Kau first, he desperately wanted to support Zehl but at the same time he didn't want Abel to die, this whole mess was tearing his whole life apart.

Triem points in the direction of the commotion while Sheba holds his grand-kittens and Zar examines them, confused. He's unsure of which one of the kittens of his they are.

Daren tenses, but takes one of Abel's hand in his own, "I... Zehl..." He wants to say something, but can't form the words. A mixture of wanting to be by his mate's side and the urge to get justice for his mate's name rage at him. According to him Zehl is already an enemy.

Zehl shakes his head in frustration. And when he sees Kau arm himself he growls, "Fine then... I understand!" And with that he turns and morphs, ripping his clothing as he does. Then he races out of the house hissing at his twin who tried to stop him.

Henry begins to worry. He hoped everything would get better.

- The Next Day -

Abel had been bedridden and hasn't woken up since yesterday. His hair had began to regain it's natural color, and his skin was starting to follow suit. He was sweating and sometimes jerking, as if having one of the world's worst nightmares.

Kau was getting ready for the day, still worrying about Zehl. He felt so distant, as if he tried to talk some one he'd break out into tears and try to run away. He was looking his clothes drawer and came across the little green dress and bloomers Zehl had given him. He held the silky smooth cloth in his hands and looked upon it thoughtfully, and held it close to his face. He felt s small tear run down his cheek as he thought about his lover.

He walked out of his room in his short little dress and checked to see if anyone else was up before heading to make breakfast as he would normally do, he couldn't stop thinking about Zehl but if he kept it up, he'd die. As he let the food keep warm in the oven he sat at the table and looked out the dark window, it was raining like it never had before and he just hoped Zehl was alright and none of the vicious locals or plants had gotten a hold on him.

Darren sits in the room with Abel and worries, Kau was the first up, but he hasn't fallen alseep yet. His siblings and parents have been taken care of. Each settled down for the night. And will each soon wake. He sighs to himself as he continues to rock his baby in his arms.

Triem rolls over and yawns to wake up, then tenses knowing in a few short moments Henry would be running to the bathroom to throw up again. It never fails.

Sheba had woken up and now constaults with his mate all that has been happening, "Zar I'm scared... What if... What if..."

"Zehl is strong and will see he is wrong this time. Daren loves him and will forgive him," Zar soothes. "Now hush dear, or you'll wake the kittens."

Zehl meanwhile had found a cave and slept in it. He had made a fire and decides with tha rain its no time to leave, besides he really has no where to go now.

As triem thought, Henry sprung from the bed and zoomed to the bathroom, retching his guts out in the toilet.
