Of Ukes and Smoothies (Zehl/Kau-MATURE)

Zero and Gravity had gone to bed in Zar's and Sheba's room, Kau had been sitting up with Abel all night. Zero tossed in his crib and whined. He was having a horrible nightmare and was crying in his sleep. He mewled loudly in his crib not happy at all, wanting his parents to soothe him.

Kau jumped at the sound of his kitten's yowl of despair, he bit his lip till it bled, but couldn't bring himself to move from his spot. He let himself begin to cry, his poor baby forcing it out of him. He hated it, he wanted to comfort his child but being so separated had made him cold and was forcing him farther and farther away.

Abel gasped in his sleep, the nightmare worsening, he sweated, his hair wet. He breathed heavily, and shook. He moved his hand to the side just a little, as if to grasp Daren's.

Triem follows his mate, but then stops. He goes to Zero before his parents could even lift a finger. He picks up the little kitten, hoping his twinned scent of Zehl would soothe the little one as he rocks him gently and picks up his twin when he begins to protest. Now he goes to his mate's side, with the kittens, and nuzzles his back affectionately.

Aku, the youngest Haelyn child wakes up. At age eleven he isn't the nicest little thing, but he'll do for what he wants to do. He walks into the kitchen to see Kau crying, "Don't cry about it. Do something. You're their bearer and leaving them to be tended to by an uncle is colder than cold, its cruel." He sighs and pushes some un-kept bangs behind an ear. "Suck it up and go to them. They need you. Your kittens need you. I know you're better than this, bigger than this. So go to them. Help them. Soothe them like the bearer you're meant to be."

Daren stops his rocking and looks to his mate's hand. He takes it with out hesitation, rubbing soothing circles into the back of Abel's hand.

Zehl, in his cave, had felt a little of what his mate had. He doesn't mean to be putting him through this. Its just... As long as Abel can't defend himself Zehl can't be there. He wants it to be a fair fucking fight. He growls to himself, but the rage is watered down by the panging in his chest. Soon, he falls fast asleep.

Henry felt like he was dying. As he was throwing up, the babies were kicking hard. 'Stop.' he thought to them. They continued to kick as he threw up. 'stop!' he yelled in his mind, standing up and flushing the toilet. Then, as if they were competing, all four feet kicked him right in his belly button. He then glared at his stomach and yelled, "I said stop it!"
They became still.

Something seemed to come over Kau at that moment, the boy must've triggered something. He bit his lip and got out of his seat, his eyes cold and emotionless as he glanced at the Haelyn kid. "Breakfast's in the oven," he said dully before walking out of the room. Zero sniffled, his little eyes filled with tears, as he was gently rocked in Triem's arms he covered his face not wanting to be caught crying. Kau walked into the room, his kitten not crying anymore. He looked to the restroom and peaked inside to see Henry screaming at his belly. He turned to his attention to his kittens.

Abel held onto Daren's hand for dear life, as if it was the only thing keeping him pinned down to the physical world. His face had finally returned into it's original color but his features remained aged, and his hair grayish brown.

Triem glances at Kau a moment before looking to Henry, "You sure got them under control." He jokes lightly. Gravity turns almost un forgiving gaze at his mother, whom he's not mad at. He's pissed as hell at his life-giver though.

Daren sighs and moves to sit on the bed beside Abel, their baby sleeping through the movement.

Sheba is up and now scolding Aku harshly whom stares blankly through his mother and at his smirking father.

Zehl's dream began nicely. He's with his family and everything is going okay. But then his subconcious reminds him of what Abel did and the dream turns into a nightmare, but weirdly enough its mostly of never being with his family again. His family which needs him...

Henry was still pouting at his belly. Hoping the little twirps would stay still. "Stupid kits. Stupid pregnancy. Stupid Triem." he says, looking to his mate, "You did THIS to me." he said blankly. He then stomped away back to their room.

[squabbel]

Kau watched Henry attack his mate and retreat into the bedroom, before looking to his angry child. Zero was crying his eyes out, clinging onto his older twin. "I'm sorry," Kau said, mostly to his children but also to Triem as he took his babies into his arms and holding them close, kissing their tiny foreheads as lovingly as he could, being so far away from his mate. He gave one last glance at Triem before carrying his children to the kitchen to be fed.

Abel groaned and moved his head to Daren's lap, shaking as he did, he seemed to be slowly coming out of it. His dull gray eyes slowly opened and he looked up to his lover, "D-dar-ren?" he whispered still weak.

Gravity hold his twin through out it all, he refuses to let his twin be alone in this. Deep inside swearing to never be like his life-giver. God damn his life-giver for all he cares!!!

Sheba ceases his shouting when his son simply turned from him and continued Kau had been doing when the other arrives back into their domain. He finishes breakfast for the bearer-in-law of his, letting him feed his babies, take care of them. Its only when he's done that Sheba just growls and turns the punishment over to his Giver. And when a heavy hand lands on Aku's shoulder he shutters before being lead out of the house...

Triem had winced when Henry had returned to their room. He frowns before sighing, "Fuck." And then moves from the bathroom to go to his mate, to be his helping hand and well... What ever Henry wants him to be. He timidly opens the bedroom door. "...Henry?"

Daren smiles warmly before shushing his mate, "Yes... Its me. I'm here, don't worry." Nebula wakes to his Life-Giver's weak voice and mewls morning to him softly...

Zehl tosses and turns. And when he wakes drenched in sweat and panting heavily he gets it. Springing to his feet he excepts the fact that he may not like what Abel did, he can hate him... But Kau can't live with out him... Nor could he with out his mate. That dulled pain in his chest bursting forth as he runs home. Upon throwing open the front door he simply shouts, "Kau?!"

Henry had thrown himself on the bed, crying his eyes out. He couldn't take it anymore, this was killing him. The kits were too much of a burden to bear. Henry sobbed and cried in agony.

[squabbel]

Abel sighs and relaxes into his mates lap before smiling up at his kit. He closes his eyes slowly, "He's here, I knew he'd be back," he said softly, dreading the confrontation.

Kau stopped what he was doing when he heard the door bust open, he looked to his kits and bit his lip, leaving their bottles on their high chairs. Kau stood up and walked to the main hall where he heard Zehl call his name. Hiss face showed disbelief as he walked up to him, before suddenly turning harsh as he slapped him hard across his face, tears running down his face.

Triem frowns and goes next to his mate, he pulls him into a hug, "I'm sorry, Ry..."

Daren tilts his head to the side in confusion before hearing his brother. He sighs and Nebula somehow crawls from mommy and onto his papa, hugging him.

Zehl stares for a moment before pulling Kau against him, "Oh... Kau..." He bites his lip a moment before. "I'm sorry. I won't leave you ever again. Not for anything."

Henry threw his arms around Triems neck and sobbed into his shoulder.

[squabbel]

Kau just stood there in Zehl's arm's uncomfortably, tears stinging his eyes. He wanted to be comforted but just being near Zehl wasn't enough. He buried his face in Zehl's shoulder and cried loudly holding onto him for dear life.

Daren smiled gently looking down at his still drowsy kit, he reached down and pet his head gently, hearing Kau cry he bit his lip and he heart broke, he stopped petting his kit and moved back to the pillow. "I'll be fine now, I need a shower, I'll tell you if I need help," he said suddenly.

Daren frowns, "That means get out huh?"

Zehl rubs Kau's back, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... I'll understand if you can never forgive me."

Triem hold Henry, dammit. He's a horrible giver.

Henry sobs and shakes, "I can't do this anymore triem!! I can't!" he cried.
