If Al didn't look slightly flushed already, he would have been then; after hearing what Graise said, along with the kiss. Of course, he was embarrassed by his own question so he didn't say anything right away. He simply went on to eating his own food.
"So..." He tried to make conversation after a few bites. Just because he agreed to this, didn't mean he was up for settling with this guy, his mate. Did it sound like he was being stubborn? Well, he didn't care, he would go on with his life with only this minor alteration. A few visits may, and if he didn't like it then that was it. That was the conclusion he came down to.
"Is here anything else you can tell me about yourself?" Why not ask, he should want to learn all he could about this mate of his.

Wiping his mouth with his napkin, Graise pushed his food to the side and gave his mate his undivided attention. "Sure. Where to start... My favorite planet is Zerca though Earth comes in at a close second. Have you experience rock music yet? It is a sound made by earthlings and is so full of adrenaline! I have a secret tattoo on my right shoulder blade and left hip that i got while I was there. I own my own home that I paid for with my second years salary. Hmmm..." he mused. "Redheaded bearers creep me out and so do sweet potatoes... I'm not sure why, they just do. My bearer is a Reyl and insists I know traditional dances so when we have Wow Pows (... ^_^) he forces me to dance in the circle."
Shrugging his shoulder's, he asked, "Is there anything inparticular you want to know, Al?"

That was more then Al expected to hear. He was listening while he was eating. He really wasn't sure what he had been expecting to hear though, just more general information he supposed. "Wow..." Al, muttered that after chewing an swallowing a bite full of food. "I can't say I've experienced that yet, and I don't know much about Earth, but I hear quite a few Zercan's find their mates their." If he recalled correctly, there was some law made about getting mates from there, or was he mistaken?
"I really wasn't expecting you to say anything about tattoo's," that was a definite surprise. "There was nothing in particular I wanted to know," he admitted with a thoughtful look. "I don't suppose you were seeing anyone...before me?" He wanted to know, but tried to just seem curious about it. The last thing he wanted to seem was too interested. Although, he wondered about the red head bearers thing, along with the sweet potatoes. He also wondered what his dancing was like.

"Not at all. I haven't been seeing anyone for about six months now. My, uh, friend found his mate," he smiled fondly. "A nice chap but not for me. Nope, he wasn't you."

"Six months." That was quite awhile ago, Al mentally noted that and wondered what he should say towards the comment about himself. For a moment he wanted to ask how he had any idea they were mates, but then he felt it himself. It was just a feeling, something he wasn't sure how to describe, and he was still in denial about it. He considered commenting about himself, but wasn't asked so didn't think he had to.
"That's good," Was all he could think to say before going back to briefly eat the rest of his food, then he planned to take a sip of his drink. He still really wanted to try that drink Graise ordered after all. "Did you ever consider that there could be some mistake, and we aren't really mates?" He wasn't sure if it was possible, but you never know.

Graise stared at his mate with a stern glare before actually rolling his eyes. "Come now, Al, you're too smart for these games. You know what is, whether you want it to be or not."
It still annoyed him that his mate was so eager for a way out. For any path that didn't lead to him. Graise just didn't understand it, he hadn't demanded an immediate claiming of him like most men did of their mates and he didn't think he was particularly ugly that the man would feel the need to run at the sight of him. He just didn't know what Al's problem was.

Alphonse was well aware of the game Graise referred to, he also realized he sort of ruined the moment, but he had been somewhat hoping it was a possibility. He wasn't exactly sure he was disappointed by what he heard or not. "Right..." He cast his gaze off to the side for a moment, lacking appropriate words to fit the moment.
"I know what I know all too well." His way of saying he knew the truth, and knew it well enough to know what he said was silly. "So...what were your plans after this?" After they were done eating here. He didn't imagine he thought to part ways with so so soon, so eh was curious.

"Usually I would say I would follow you anywhere, but being as have quite a cynical nature, I suppose I shall just select a place," he mused aloud, uncaring if he pissed his mate off or not as he had never met someone who was like him. He appreciated his mate's uniqueness, no dount, but it would be nice if the boy gave in a little. "Probably the park," he said then, "There is supposed to be an Olde Fair there."

Al grimaced as he heard what Graise said. When he asked that he certainly did not expect him to go off deciding what he did next. What was stopping him from walking off right now, he didn't have to put up with this. Or so he told himself, but he really couldn't make himself walk off like that, even he would think himself a bit of a jerk for it. The least he could do was give this guy a chance, no matter how he irked him at the moment, and he did really irk him. "Did you ever consider what I would want to do," Not that he actually had some place in mind, nor did he think to spend time with him after this, but he still didn't like it.

"No," he said simply, "You seem more interested in getting away from me and making up reasons why than considering a place to go. Unlike you, I want to spend tine with my mate. Now, if you're quite finished, come along," that said he rose and exited the building, his AI taking up the bill with the buildings computer.

Al's mouth was nearly agape, how Graise had so openly admitted he didn't consider his opinion. Facts aside, that didn't mean he wouldn't have liked to have been asked anyways, though it really wouldn't have changed anything. Looking quite miffed, he sat up with one last sip of his drink. "That's not the point you know," he spoke standing up, glaring daggers at his mate, following him right out of the building. His expression clearly said he did not care for the situation.

"It is the point," Graise snapped. "You need to either accept me and you on some level or at least tell me what I can do to help you accept it."

How dare this guy snap at him, mate or not Al wasn't going to just stand for it. What he wanted to do was shout something, but he quickly reigned in his temper, he didn't see that getting him anywhere. How was he suppose to accept things?! Although the other male here have him quite a few options, he still found himself feeling, like he...like he was bound, and nothing really happened yet!
Oh, but he was out here still, he should get some credit for that. So, he felt he had to give this guy sometime, that hadn't changed, but he couldn't entirely get himself to settle with the thought of...this, what was going on. That was something to think n though, how he could accept the other male, what could be done? Maybe some space would help, or maybe he did need to do something in particular now. As of right now he couldn't figure it out for the life of him.
"I...can't really think of anything now." Al reluctantly admitted, frowning as he cast his gaze off to the side for a moment. "But you should consider my feelings when you make decisions." That was something he felt they couldn't get around.

Graise ran a hand through his blonde locks, a frustrated gesture on his part, but said, "I will try in the future to keep you up to date on my decisions so that you may have your input. And in return it would be nice if you gave me the same courtesy. Shall we go now?"
Graise walked feeling a little put out. He had always thought he'd be a good mate and do the right thing because there was no way he could be so wrong when another person was made for him. Obviously, he had been wrong. Not about Al, no, he could feel that the boy was his mate, but about his own actions and feelings beforehand. He just didn't seem to have a knack for pleasing the one boy who mattered most in the galaxies to him.

Al really wasn't expecting Graise to say anything in consideration to his feelings, it left him rather stumped as he kept walking with him. "Uh...I suppose, lets." That's all he could manage, his mind rather blank for a decent reply right now. Maybe that was decent though, he didn't say anything offensive after all.
For a moment he just walked in silence, suddenly folding his arms, scarcely noting anything but where they were going. What should he say now? Maybe some random conversation was in order. "So, do you have a favorite ride at the Olde Fair?" Well, it was random but it was something to break the silence that started to bother him.
