Graise waited patiently, staring at the smaller male intently while wondering what this peculiar feeling was that assailed him as he stared at the boy. This Al fellow seemed to appeal to him on every level. There was not an imperfection anywhere - he'd looked and hard at that hoping to kill some of this attraction - but there was for it. The kids was fucking gorgeous.

It really didn't take too long for Al to finish eating, especially when he really wanted to talk to this Graise guy. the random customer that made his heart flutter the way it did. It was only when he finished, five minutes at most, if not a little over, so he was only sipping his drink. It wasn't like he ate a sandwich that was big. "So," he started off with a faint smile, wondering if the guy here was just trying to get with him. "I'll tell you now, if your only goal is to get in bed with me your better off telling me now so I'm not wasting my time with you." Yes, he was blunt, but he really could be doing other things now.

Graise was taken aback by the bluntness but is soon had him smiling. He enjoyed surprises and was ridiculously please that this man was not the sort to jump from bed to bed. "Well, I wont say that I wouldn't like to end up there at some point," he winked playfully, "But thats not it. There is something about you... I'm not sure what it is. You just..." his brows furrowed as he stared deeply into the male's eyes. "Appeal to me... on every level."

Al didn't have a problem raising a brow at Graise's words. "I haven't heard that line before," he really hadn't heard anything quite like that, appealing on every level. "Is this some new way of saying we're soul mates?" It wasn't often he was on the dating seen, or flirting for that manner. While his parents thought him frivolous, he wasn't out doing something troublesome...that often. So, he wasn't up to date on what people said to pick up others, he's catch on. "Well, I'm sorry if you're just trying to use some new sort of pick up line on me, its not going to work." It wasn't so much that he was trying to be difficult, it was more like he was just a difficult person in general. Although honestly, when he stared into the other males brown eyes, and he felt him staring back at his hazel ones, he felt... well, he felt on the verge of blushing, but that didn't make sense at all. He wasn't so easy that he would swoon over the first guy that gave him that particular look that had all genders falling at their feet. What was different about this guy?

Soulmates... the idea had merit and had the man thinking. "That not a pick up line, boy. That is how I feel."

Well... that was unexpected. What was Al suppose to say to that? "For one, my name isn't boy, its Alphonse." It seemed he responded by saying his name, or getting a bit defensive, avoiding the subject maybe, or not taking it seriously. "However, I'm usually called Al by those close, my parents always call me Alphonse though." That last bit wasn't needed to know, but he grimaced at the thought, so perhaps it had meaning behind it. "So, before you go confessing anymore feelings, I think I should know your name at least, stranger."

"Quite right," he smiled again and nodded his head. "I am Graise Erickerson. People call me Graise or worse," he winked. "I am 27, I own my own home and gramba stable. I work very hard at being an AI Engineer and have a ridiculously large family who are the noisiest bunch in Zerca. Now you, Al."

A name was all Al was expecting, so the mini life story had him surprised. Wow, this guy was something, it sounded like he was possibly rich. Whether that was something he was to assume or pick up on, he wasn't sure. That might have been a turn on for others, but money wasn't the thing that had him hooked.
"Well, the names Alphonse Mikano. Like I told you most people call me Al." He didn't feel he had to repeat himself, but he did for the heck of it. "I'm 22, and I live in an apartment. I wouldn't say I have a large family. I'm just a cafe worker, there's nothing more to the scene here then what you see." He actually motioned to their surroundings, referring to exactly what he saw about them. "If you were looking for someone special I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place." As far as he knew everyone here was average, and that wasn't to insult anyone, it was just everyone here didn't do anything special, or have lots of money.

Graise reached over and grabbed the boy's hand, his breath hitching at the odd sensation that crept up his arm. "I knew it," he said lowly, lacing their fingers, "You are something special."

Al's eyes widened at the random contact, he felt himself seem to freeze at the same time he heard him speak. His words confused him, then his actions, mixed with his next words actually made his face heat up, tinting a faint pink upon his cheeks. He was caught like that, like a bug in a web, for a moment -- maybe a few seconds passed, maybe longer, he really wasn't sure. "You're mistaken." It was blurted out, the moment Al actually pulled his hand back."You just met me, you know nothing about me," Besides what he had just said, there was nothing to go on.

Graise snorted, "Come now, lovely, you're too smart to play this game. You know what is," he sniffed and took a sip of his coffee. "I must admit to a certain surprise myself. But I am not displeased. You're quite beautiful and spunky at that."

Al actually frowned a bit, this definitely threw his whole day off. At least he got some compliments, as if they made everything better. So, what if he did get the situation, that didn't mean he had to fall for it like some innocent kit. "I hope you don't expect me to hand myself over to you on a silver platter." The thought turned him off, made him a little skittish, but he didn't let it show. The thought of being tied down to someone was clearly not an entirely pleasant thought.

Graise leaned back in his chair, releasing the boy's hand. He was quiet a moment as he sipped his coffee. "I am not ready for kits and while your company would be pleasant to have, I will not force you to do anything you don't want to do, Al." He tried to act nonchalant but the very skin seemed to pull in the direction of the boy.

Whether Graise meant to or not, Al didn't find himself fond of his tone. It sounded like he thought he was the boss here! Like if things were different, he wouldn't have an option, the very thought infuriated him. If only he wasn't still working, though he was on break, he would have happily taken his leave. As foolish as that may or may not have been. "I'm happy to hear that." He really was, though his tone of voice held a hint of anger to it. "I prefer we don't do anything, at all." He didn't think he had to emphasize that. "We can stay clear of each other for the time being." It seemed he decided what he wanted already.
Although, the time being wasn't exactly decided yet. If it could be helped, he was going for indefinitely. Now that was foolish, Al was aware of the facts of this, what they apparently had going -- something that made him feeling rather trapped. It was like putting a wild animal in a cage, even if the best things in the work were there -- also known as whatever whatever feelings could transpire from this, the animal was going to try and get away, and it wouldn't be too keen on a cage period. Maybe that was putting it too strongly though, a new habitat would have covered the idea as well.

Graise gripped his wrist and narrowed his eyes. "I said I wasn't ready for kits, not that I wasn't ready for you. And I suggested that you didn't have to do anything you didn't want to because you seem to be panicking. You are my mate, Alphonse, and while I will not stifle you neither will you ignore me." His tone broke no argument.
Releasing his mate once more, he sat back in his seat though no longer easy going and relaxed as he had been before. His eyes though rested on his mate, daring him to come up with an excuse why the two of them being together was an impossibility.
