Akelah merely blinked owlishly at all the little children, a smile actually lurking in his dark eyes. Corny, after putting down his own drums, smiled in excitement, waving at all the little children. The ones in the wheelchairs excited him the most and he had bound over to the three, examing said chairs.
"Look, look Akelah!" He called to his brother. "These have wheels on the chairs. How cool!" He gushed, only ever having seen such things in text books

Dillon blinked at Corny. "You've never seen a wheelchair? Where are you from?" he asked, looking at the male strangely.
Jazzy shook his head, handing Akelah a larger Djembe, and sitting down. "Alright guys, pay attention now." he said--catching everyone's attention. "So, who remember's the basics?" he asked, smiling. The group all raised their hands, and they went through the basic motions of bass tone and slaps. Jazzy then showed everyone some simple rythms, before calling for an individual test of each "pupil"

Akelah looked at the drum in his hands slowly. It looked rather familiar as he went to sit slightly behind Jazzy, with the drum between his legs as he watched all of Jazzy's movements. Corny paid attention to, tapping along with the other kids, never having played this drum before.

Jazzy listened to each kid, before looking at Corny. Since the male didn't have a seat, Jazz told him he could sit on the drum, and play it that way. He placed the drum on it's side, and sat on the end of the shaft. He moved so Corny could sit on his drum and tucked his little djembe between his legs, playing a little rythm and telling Corny to add to it--as simple as he wanted. He went around the room, playing the same rythm as gradually everyone else joined in. The sound actually ended up being rather...well, jazzy.

Corny was trying not to laugh, but he was smling like mad, beating out a steady rythmn. He loved to hear all the music everyone seemed to be created, finally catching on to things and tapping his drum in a beat that was slightly more intricate.
Akelah watched this all from his spot, a small smile on his face as he gaze constantly travel to Jazzy. A barely imperceptible sigh escaped him as he gazed at his unknowing mate.

Jazzy nodded, a smile on his face as he made his way around to Akelah. "Okay big guy, what cha got?" he asked as he played out his rythm.

Akelah turned and looked up at Jazzy. While the male's hands were occupied, the lion reached up and touching t he back of his knuckles to Jazzy's cheek rather tenderly. The touch didn't last long, barely a second, before Akelah followed up his mate's rhythm easily.
Seemed the lion had played before.

Jazzy shivered slightly at the brush, glancing at Akelah before the lion began to play. He gave a cheeky grin and began to play a more complex rythm, pausing to see what the lion could come up with.

Akelah suppressed a smile at Jazzy's cheekiness before meeting the male's rhythm yet again, adding a little something of his own this time.

"Okay, now, let's sort of go back and forth. You solo then me--kay?" Jazzy grinned as the rest of the room stopped to watch. Jazzy began to play, a funky, rapid, cool syncopated rythm and he he paused looking at Akelah.
Yes, the way to JAzzy's heart, it seemed, was through his music.

Praise the gods that Akelah was doing something right. He nodded at Jazzy's words, listening to the male play keenly. When it was his turn to solo, Akelah followed up with something a little more old fashioned, but still interesting.
He was pleased how good his mate was. Spectacular actually.

Jazzy played something a bit more Indian in nature, with a lot of fast little slapps and pops all in a groovy synchopation and waited. Everyone was clapping now, in time.

Akelah was running out of ideas. He hadn't played in forever and Jazzy was giving him a run for his money. After a few moment of playing himself, Akelah laughed (laughed!) and gestured for Jazzy to take it away.

Jazzy nearly faltered as he heard the male's beautiful rumbling laugh. He did a quick little solo before making the ending call and slapping out. The room erupted into applause and the children quickly surrounded Jazzy. "That was so cool! Will you teach us how to do that?!" they asked, pulling at him. Jazzy laughed, adjusting the straps before nodding.
All too soon, the nurses appeared to wheel the children away, and they all pouted as they waved excited goodbyes. "See you guys Monday." Jazzy smiled before stooping to pick up a couple of drums. He looked at Akelah with a slight smile. "Where'd you learn to play? That was surprising good," he said, adjusting the drum.

"Oh? Were you expecting me to fumble?" The words sounded cold, but if one listened closer, they were rather teasing and the black eyes on Jazzy glinted with mirth. "I've been to Earth a few times." He said by way of explanation before Corny came and flung himself into his brother's arms.
"I thought you said you'd never play again." The teen exclaimed excitedly, purring in happiness as he nuzzling the older lion. Akelah echoed with a deeper purr, returning the hug with surprising affection.
