Mao wasn't expecting to see Rosiac come back let alone expecting to be nuzzled. It was far from bad he just wasn't sure what to think of it, But he didn't at all mind coming to pet the others head now. Although a faint blush did appear to set itself upon his cheeks he didn't think to say anything against it. He briefly noted the sound made by Rosiac and wondered what he could have been thinking. He might have asked but at the moment he didn't think to jump and ask questions. He preferred to simply remain silent and see what would happen. That is if anything were to happen.
The merman wasn't disappointed as he found questions directed his way. He wondered them for a moment. Thinking over them. He considered answering them verbally but then considered doing otherwise. Really, he had spoke verbally far more then he was use to seeing as how he was more use to using his other way of speaking. "No, I just..." Mao had come to a pause for a moment as he tried to put into words how he felt or what he was thinking. "It's just not something I was expecting." That was true, what was he suppose to expect?
Coming to this planet it hadn't been his goal to come across a Zercan like Rosiac. One he found himself feeling quite a few mixed emotions around as he tried to figure out what was going on. He hadn't come here to find out that he may be, he seemed to be, or rather he was connected to another in such a manner if he hadn't been mistaken with what he came up with.
Mao had to admit, well to himself, that feeling the other nuzzle him so felt rather...nice. Certainly not bad at least. He had once again heard that sound coming from Rosiac. What did that mean exactly? Had he read anything on that? Well, he had enough common sense to come to a reasonable conclusion.
What was it he had read again exactly? Mao was trying to recall what he last read in detail. Although unfortunately not even he had picture perfect memory. But if he was indeed in the particular position he thought himself to be in with Rosiac then he should do something, right? He thought something along the lines of that.He wondered if he should ask or go on what the book said but he wasn't entirely sure on what to do himself. Reading and doing were two different things.
"I'm not quite sure what to do now." Mao found himself admitting this out loud though he hadn't spoken verbally. The fact that he hadn't up and left, regardless of his emotions that more then likely would have halted him, should have said something. After all he had even said he wasn't bothered by it. He really didn't think he was...as long as he could figure everything out.
Admitting he was confused wasn't something the merman imagined himself doing. He usually didn't converse with someone so much so in general he didn't expect to be speaking on any particular subject. This was just something worth mentioning. Especially to someone he imagined was an exception to who he did and did not often speak to. It wasn't as if he could just remain silent when he wanted to know something that seemed as important as this.

Rosaic made a small chirp, I didn't know that this would happen. I never meant to let it come out. I wanted you to be happy with or without me. Rosaic made another small sound as he moved, resting his front paws and legs on Mao as he stood.
Rosaic felt the other's mixed feelings. He just wanted the other to be happy. If his mate didn't want him that way then he was free to go. It didn't matter how much Rosaic would hurt or be broken. He looked down to the side. In fact...I don't know why the fates did this to us. You'll never be happy here with me. Even though I run I barely go to the water....
He chirped again as he looked up. He blinked as he looked to the side again, Even though I've been through all the details...I don't know either. What I do know is that you know more about me than I do you. Let us start there. Getting to know the other half is our first step.
He shifted back as he slipped on a pair of pants, going comando. He smiled, "Then we shall work out the minor details." He smirked as he lifted Mao and carried him on his hip setting the other down on the couch as he sat on the other. It was small enough to be called a loveseat.
Rosaic looked at the other as he ran his hand gently up and down the other's leg with soft almost non-touch strokes. He made a little sound in the back of his throat as he smiled softly, "Do you have any idea how beautiful you are?" He looked up as he smiled softly he then looked down.
He looked to the side as he thought about it, he was willing to do almost anything to make his mate happy. He didn't know how far that would go. He was afraid to move, afraid to scare the other away. Rosaic was no saint but he didn't want to admit that he had hunted down many and fought in many many battles as he was directed by the shodan. He only fought when the need was the great.
He didn't know what to say. He wanted the male before him under him and throughly ravished....that would have to wait sadly...nice thought while it lasted. He looked up at the other as he thought about it, what was he willing to change? He didn't want the other unhappy and he was pretty sure that not being near the water would kill the merman. He analized Mao as he sighed, "Do you want me to go first or you?"

Mao momentarily had his gaze set ahead on nothing in particular before he looked towards Rosiac. It was a sweet thing in his opinion that the Zercan wanted him to be happy. He certainly hadn't been expecting hat. In general with what he read he thought a Zercan would go about doing whatever they could to be with their mate. If he wasn't mistaken that was what he was to Rosiac so he would think he wanted him to stay.
If he got what Rosiac was saying though it seemed that whether or not he was to remain with him he wanted him to be happy. It seemed like a simple concept to understand. It seemed a bit confusing to him though or perhaps he was the one who was confused here.
With Mao's attention set on Rosiac he noted his movement. Even through this somewhat confusing situation he came to admire the Zercan he was with. With the powerful and agile form he was currently in. All something he wasn't. At least not on land although he would think all he had was his speed in the water. Supposedly not much when he considered that how fast he went wasn't something he paid much mind to. Perhaps they were mismatched somehow.
It was Rosiac's next word that caused a faint frown to visibly turn his lips downwards a bit. He didn't quite understand where he was going with what he said at first but then what he said last caught his attention. Well, he couldn't imagine the Zercan would have to go to the water. Not like a Merman would. But that didn't mean he couldn't by happy. Though he honestly couldn't see himself without water for long. But then he wasn't sure how he would do if he were to go without having the Zercan near him either. It was a rather strange and unfamiliar thought to have.
It was something that needed to be considered. Mao thought over this until he heard Rosiac continue to speak to him. He supposed that was true. He knew more about Zercan's in general and he had learned quite a bit about Rosiac personally. He had quite a bit he could say to him if he was to talk about himself but where was he to start if he say anything. It seemed reasonable to want to do such a thing. To wanted to get to know each other. Especially in the situation they seemed to be in.He would gladly agree to doing such though he wasn't sure what to start talking about though he knew what the subject was here. Referring to getting to know each other.
To see Rosiac shifted back was a bit of a surprise. He noted he slipped into a pair of pants and nothing else before speaking. So, they were to go over the details of this. Well that was good to hear. He was considering to ask where they would talk about this when he found himself suddenly being lifted up by the tall Zercan. His dark lavender eyes widened for a brief moment just from the surprise before he merely held a thoughtful look set upon his features. He had to wonder if he was that light or perhaps the Zercan was that strong. If he recalled correctly Zercans were a strong race so he didn't see Rosiac having a hard time with carrying him as he did so far.He was briefly considering this as he was carried until his thoughts were disrupted as he was put down to be seated in the couch to see moments after he sat on the other.
Now there was time to consider what details would be mentioned. However once again his thoughts were disrupted as he felt what Rosiac did. It was enough to make his look a bit flustered. Feeling how he touched his leg, something he couldn't simply ignore, which made him consider a thought he hadn't before. Rosiac's touch. It felt nice, certainly not bad bu then he wasn't sure he was wording everything right even in his mind which was equally as confused. Hearing what Rosiac said made him wonder. Was he serious? Though he didn't see him having a reason to lie. Well, I don't know about that. It seemed like he was. He didn't see him having a reason besides to tell the truth to mention it at all. He didn't think so highly of his own appearance. Hearing about it from another had a faint blush visible on his cheeks though it seemed like a simple enough thing to say to cause such a reaction.
Mao's thoughts then went from his own features to the main subject to be spoken of. Hearing what Rosiac said gave him something to say. Well, I don't mind going first if you would like me to but I'd like to hear about you some more. It was just to give him a general idea of what he should say but he wouldn't at all mind talking about himself with Rosiac. In face he felt a bit compelled to talk about himself, which wasn't quite normal for him, simply to let Rosiac know a bit more about him. He wasn't quite sure why but then maybe it was the noticable way he was aware he did not feel with any other person he had been close to. He kept his dark lavender gaze focused on Rosiac. He looked past a bit of his midnight black hiar that now framed his face as well as fell onto his eyes while the rest trailed down his back no longer damp as it was before. This still all seemed rather confusing when considered.

Rosaic smiled as he looked at him, "Well what is it that you wanted to know about me? I'm not that exciting. I shall start with my family life."
He leaned back as he made a sound, "I grew up in a normal family, well normal for Zercian standards. It wasn't until I was a bit older that they passed away... And after that I had a foster family raise me."
He paused for a small while until he thought of something else to talk about, "I honestly don't know why I have an accent. But it's different from a lot of people's here. I don't know where I got it either." He ran his hand over Mao's skin as he smiled, "What about you? What do you want me to tell about you?"

Mao was silent as he listened intently to Rosiac's words. He really did want to hear or rather learn as much as he could about the Zercan. He gave a slight nod as he heard him speak to show he was listening. He wasn't sure what to think about the Zercan's life until he heard about it. As he waited he managed a small smile as he looked at him and waited.
The merman really was sorry to hear about the Zercan's parents. He was glad to hear he still had someone to raise him. Hearing the mention of the foster family was something he thought was good. He wondered what happened to that foster family. "What were they like?" He hoped it was alright to ask, he couldn't find out any other way.
Mao still listened intently to what Rosiac said. He would admit he had been curious about the accent. He wasn't sure if he heard it from any other Zercan about but with the fact he knew so few he didn't know what to assume. Perhaps he should take the time to see what it was like on Zerca for himself. He made it a goal to try and do so and then he would get to look around and stay here. It really wasn't his wish to suddenly leave. Not simply because of what he discovered but what he felt. He couldn't possible go and not yearn to come back.
If Mao wasn't mistaken it seemed Rosiac wanted to hear about him. "Well, I can't say my life is interesting either. Really, he thought his life rather...dull. Nothing of real interest ever occurred. He just spent his days mostly enjoying his time by the waters. Also being careful as well with the dangers about but he was still here after all so that should give some sign that he knew how to handle himself.
"I was raised by my birth parents. Mao was ever so grateful his parents hadn't died. His normal or dull life was acceptable here if it meant that he hadn't really had any noticeable disturbances in his life. Sure there were the normal things that were up and down so to speak with the positive and negative things that happened in his life but in the end everything was well, for the most part, and he was happy about that.
We all lived together, I was an only child, and I really can't say there's much more to take note of then that. If he went on to speak more then he was sure i would bore hi mas it would simply be little things to go on about. "I can't really say I have or had an intersting life." At the moment Mao could see that things would currently more intersting with the Zercan around. Allowing him to stay with him. Though he imagined it was partly due to the fact they seemed to be what was mentioned in the book.
Regardless of the reason though he found himself quite happy and somewhat confused at the same time. He liked that he was so close to the Zercan though having not know him for long made things a little odd in a way. It contradicted what he was feeling with what he was thinking. That he felt something, more then a simple liking, for the Zercan he was with. He wasn't even a Zercan himself but it seemed what he read in the book still applied with him and Rosiac. He really wasn't sure what to think about that but he knew, so far, that he was just fine as long as he could stay with Rosiac.
The merman was somewhat tempted to do something but he wasn't anywhere near being someone who was bold enough to take any actions. Whether or not that involved trying to express his feelings, that were new to him with the Zercan, when he hadn't known Rosiac for long. He was fine with how things were at the moment but his thoughts would often drift towards what would or may happen next.
