He couldn’t believe the other had believed him. The things he had said had been stupid and ridiculous, yet Adair hadn’t thought there was any flaw in the logic he had spoken. Drake was happy he wouldn’t be having an embarrassing conversation with his mate, but he was worried about what Adair would believe. What he had said wasn’t true and he’d have to tell the other sooner or later what the truth was. The boy looked so trusting and Drake hated hiding things from the other. But…it was hard to tell Adair these things. He didn’t want the other to lose that innocence or to ever find out what the real world really was. He wanted this person to remain innocent forever. He didn’t mind protecting Adair forever as long as it meant making the other boy happy. That’s what Drake wanted most of all, to see this person happy. It was odd to have such strong feelings for someone he’d just met, but it was how Zercans mated. It had never been important to Drake whether the people he dated were happy or not. It wasn’t like he’d been a heartless bastard or anything, but it hadn’t seemed important at all. After all, he’d never been in a relationship based on love. He’d been with people because of lust and sometimes company, but never love. He’d thought some people were just not meant to fall in love and that was that. It had never really occurred to him that someday he’d fall in love. It wasn’t like he’d purposely been looking for a mate or anything. In fact, he’d wanted to have lots more fun before actually settling down. Though that wasn’t possible now, he didn’t mind because he had Adair.
“Um…we get the baby after I knock you up… It’s a…um…delicate procedure in which I have to kiss you and take off your pants… It’s um…the rules. You can’t have a baby unless I knock you up. Afterwards we wait a few months, but we don’t have to do paperwork, so don’t worry. Isn’t that great?”
Where did he come up with this stuff? Maybe he was high. He’d sworn he was sober and off drugs at the moment, but he could be wrong. When the other had put his arms around him and held him, it felt better than any rush alcohol could give him. He felt sparks running up and down his body. Every time Adair touched him, he felt his mind shut down and his heart beat increase rapidly. It was easy to see his mate was small and kind of short, but that was alright. He rather liked small boys. Then again, he wouldn’t have cared what his mate looked like. It wasn’t just the boy’s appearance; it was the boy himself that made him want to ravish the other. Somehow, he had to learn to control his hormones or he’d end up doing something stupid. Drake didn’t want to hurt the other but when he thought about it, he wasn’t really a saint or a good person for that matter. If anything, he was a bad person, but he was willing to try and be good if it pleased Adair. The other didn’t look like he was used to getting into trouble and it wouldn’t be good for the boy to get hurt because of something stupid he had done. If he ended up hurting Adair, Drake wasn’t sure he could forgive himself. After all, it was his job to protect the other and that was something he’d do until he died.
“It is nice…” agreed the older man. “The best feeling in the world is to know that someone loves you, don’t you think so? That’s why I’ll say it every day, okay? That way you know I love you.”
The boy blushed very cutely. Drake couldn’t help but grin at the other when he saw the reddening cheeks. He was glad he wasn’t the only flustered one at the moment. It had been quite embarrassing to He was stunned when he felt a pair of lips on his own. The man hadn’t expected to be kissed by the other and couldn’t help but let his grin turn into a happy smile. The boy’s lips had been incredible soft and he was sure he’d melt then and there. Even though the kiss hadn’t been a very passionate one and he’d had several types before, this one was by far the best. It was because it was the first he’d shared with Adair and he was sure it had been the boy’s first kiss ever. That’s what made it so special. The words the other said just made the moment even more perfect and Drake wished there was such thing as forever because he didn’t want this to end.

"You have to.. take my pants off..? Alright... that sounds great... I can't wait," Adair ended in his usual cheerful tone, tilting his head to the side in his curiosity over the matter of actually getting the child. Oh, this process sounded so strange! He didn't see what taking his pants off had to do with anything, but if Drake said they had to to get a baby, he was alright with it. He hadn't ever let anyone else see his underwear before, but if Drake was so interested in them, Adair would let him see them. If never quite hit the boy that Drake meant the removal of both his pants and his underwear, but that was probably for the best. As much as he didn't want just any person to look at his dorky-looking boxers, it would take a bit of persuasion before Adair would let even Drake remove said article of clothing. Besides, Morgan had told him not to let anyone see him without any clothes on. He didn't want to go against his brother's wishes.
"It feels nice... No one has ever said they loved me before, except for my family. But if you're going to tell me that everyday, I'll always say it to you, too!" Adair laughed happily, suddenly taking a step back and loosening his hands from behind the other's neck. His right hand moved down to capture Drake's left and laced their fingers together again. He liked that feeling, but he really didn't know why. It felt like the right thing to do, though, and Drake hadn't told him to not do it when he grabbed his hand before. So, it had to be a good thing, right? He hoped so, at least. He wasn't sure that he would like to go through life without the other to hold his hand after experiencing the feeling twice.
"I want to see where you live! Is that alright?" Adair looked up at the other, "I have a few hours before I need to get home and there's nothing else to do... Unless you want to go to go somewhere else.. That would be fine with me, though. I'll go anywhere that you want me too, Drake!"
It was still fairly early, as far as Adair was concerned. His family generally wanted him to be back at home by about ten-thirty, but he knew he could bend the time a little bit. His mom would understand if he told her that he was spending time with his future husband, right? She was married--she would understand. His plan was failproof! Even though he was fairly sure his parents wouldn't consent to him actually moving in with Drake, he could still visit where he lived a lot, right? That was almost the same as living with the older man, right?
It saddened the boy a bit to know that it would still be a few years before Adair could live on his own which was the only opportunity he saw for being able to live with Drake. His mother was protective of him and so was his brother. He figured that even his father, who normally was neutral on all issues, wouldn't even want him to go. He didn't really want to leave them, either, but when it came to them or Drake, his heart was pulling for the latter.

Was this guy…stalking him?! It seemed like this man was going to start following him around now. Zach wasn’t used to being followed around by anyone, especially not older boys who he had never met before. That’s why he was unsure of what to do. Zach got all his knowledge from things Drake had told him. Of course, he didn’t do everything the man said, but that didn’t mean he didn’t consider doing what the other told him. The other had always said violence solved everything, so he was hoping it would solve this now. The boy didn’t really mind that the man was following him. It wasn’t like the other was hurting him or anything and Morgan didn’t seem like a bad person, but the boy hated everything that man stood for. This man wanted to give him love and make him into a companion. With this person, Zach would never be alone, but that wasn’t what he wanted. Zach wanted to be alone. He wanted to keep his secrets to himself and not share them with anyone. The teen didn’t want another person to hurt him or to end up in tears because of something this person did. That’s why he wouldn’t let Morgan get too close. He ended up ignoring the other and wondered how long it’d take the other to take a hint and go somewhere else. Of course, Zach knew deep down that Morgan wasn’t going anywhere. Since they were mates, the others would want to be with him always and try to sleep with him. If Zach let Morgan touch him, he’d end up getting pregnant. That meant another person that’d get close to him and Zach couldn’t’ allow that.
It was bad enough Morgan was all over him, he didn’t need a baby too. It was settled then. No matter what, he wasn’t letting Morgan into his pants. Besides, Drake had told not to let someone take his virginity and he supposed if anyone should be taking it, it should be his mate. This was quite a dilemma. Without even thinking, Zach stopped in his tracks and turned to look at Morgan. The guy must have really wanted to be with him or something, how odd. He brought his fist back again and let it slam into Morgan’s stomach. He’d picked up a thing or two from Drake when it came to fighting. He was no pushover and it wasn’t like he was afraid to get into a fight with that man. He had already punched him and the guy still wouldn’t leave him alone. Morgan was either suicidal or very stupid. Zach had hurt people before. He’d fought people before and hadn’t cared when they’d cried or such. It wasn’t a big deal to take on this person now. Besides, he wanted to fight Morgan. If this really was his mate, he wanted some proof of the guy’s strength. If this man was going to star spewing trash and call himself his mate, then the guy had better know a thing or two about fighting.
“If you can beat me, I’ll let you fuck me,” he said simply.
He hadn’t known why he had said that, but he had. It wasn’t like he wanted to be with Morgan or anything like that; but then again, it was a way to get the other to leave him alone. He may not win, but it was a chance to get rid of the troublesome mate. The boy pulled his arm back in an attempt to punch Morgan again. The guy was a disappointment. He wasn’t very strong and didn’t stand out from other people. If he hadn’t had this feeling inside his chest, he would have thought the other was just another random person. The streets were still empty and no one had seen anything. Maybe if he was lucky he’d hurt the other bad enough to scare him away.

So, the other hadn't responded with his name. he hadn't reconsidered being civil, but he had ended up responding by hitting his fist against Morgan's stomach. The blow surprised him and was quite a bit painful, but he remained standing. Morgan lived a life that was full of fistfights. He was lucky if there were even three days out of a week that someone didn't come odd and try to hit him. Even though he'd lost only a few fights out of the many, he still had been hit quite a few times. It was surprising how you the more you fought, the less it hurt when you were struck after a while. But, Zach was a good deal stronger than any of the human opponents the city's back alleys had to offer him. It made things interesting, at least. He had always been a bit of the masochist--how else could the numerous piercings and the tattoo be justified, because he hadn't went through with them for aesthetic purposes--and it was good to see his mate was far from delicate.
"If you were anyone else, I'd be much more willing to accept that challenge. But, seeing as you're my mate, I think it would be highly inappropriate for me to even try to hit you," Morgan replied calmly as Zach struck out at him again. It would've been shameful to him to let the boy hit him a third time. He knew he'd probably end up striking him a few more times before the night was over, but he wouldn't let the boy get in two more hits so close together. While he had talked, he had attempted a quick sidestep-like movement to get out of the way of the oncoming fist and found the effort to be successful. While, most of the time, he absolutely hated it that he was a Zercan--completely different from everyone else he'd grown attached to on earth--it seemed almost nice in these sort of situations. After all, an increased sense of feline agility was always nice when someone was trying their best to break your limbs.
Morgan had no intention whatsoever on taking Zach's offer of a fight. While the prize was worthwhile, he couldn't imagine laying a single hand on the other's head for any other purpose besides to show his affections. He found it off that Zach would even want to fight him. It wasn't right for anyone to hit anyone in a relationship, in Morgan's opinion, but he didn't mind if Zach hit him. He would take any sort of physical or verbal abuse the other spouted at him in stride as long as he was close to the other... or as close as you could get to someone who seemed to absolutely hate your guts. Even if beating Zach in a fight was the only way he was ever going to get his mate to sleep with him, he could wait for a while until the other was ready to go willingly. He would just have to make sure that no one else decided to try and get close to his mate in the meantime.
"But, I'm guessing you're not going to just let the offer drop that easily, are you?" Morgan looked over at the other, shrugging one of his shoulders. Zach didn't seem like he would be the type to just let something drop. In that way, he was very opposite to Morgan. The older teen stuck tightly to a strict code of honor and morals. Hitting people when they weren't willing to fight back was absolutely disgusting. They were cheapshots, and normally, Morgan hated people that did those sort of things. But, he couldn't hate Zach. The emotions he had for the violent boy were far from hate.

He wished he had give Adair a better explanation to what it meant to get into someone’s pants, but he wasn’t sure he could even say the word sex around the other. After all, the boy was very innocent and telling him such things would only serve to taint that innocence. Of course, though it was very cute to have someone who didn’t know about such things, it was also going to be a problem. Perhaps if he spoke with this ‘Morgan’ he could figure out what to do. He knew a brother wouldn’t give up their younger sibling’s virginity like that, but the man could at least give him tips about what he should do about his situation. Then again, maybe it was best not to meet the other since he’d have to explain what was going on. Drake had been on this planet long enough to know that conversation would not go over well. In fact, he’d probably go to jail or get his ass kicked. Drake did not feel like getting beaten up or bruised. He like not having purple skin or having to limp when he walked. In fact, he liked having all his teeth and body parts intact. But then again, Drake understood. He hadn’t before, but he did now. He knew what it was like to have a little brother, even though Zach wasn’t really related to him. If something were to happen to that boy, he’d kill whoever had hurt him. Even if he got into trouble for it, he’d kill that person.
“I’m glad you like it when I say I love you because I really do,” Drake answered sincerely. “Ne, you have a cute hand and I like holding it. If you tell me you love me every day, then I’ll be really happy. Hearing those kinds of things from you is really nice.”
He didn’t want Adair to be shy about doing things. If the other wanted to hold his hand, then he’d let the boy do so. It was nice to see what kinds of things Adair did or to just hear the boy speak. It made Drake grin like an idiot but even so, he didn’t care that he looked stupid. He was glad there weren’t many people around anymore and that no one was paying them much attention. They probably thought Adair was a girl or something. It made sense though. The boy looked too cute to be a boy. Of course, even with such cuteness, Drake had never doubted the other was a boy. The boy wasn’t overly girly as most people probably thought he was. Drake wanted to be the one that knew all of Adair’s little secrets, even if they weren’t important or anything. He wanted to know everything about the other and be the person he went to when he needed something. The boy meant everything to Drake now. It was odd and kind of beautiful how you could love someone so much to the point it hurt, even if you’d just met them. He supposed he understood a little why people did things for the one they loved. After all, anything would be worth seeing Adair smile. That was something the Zercan was certain off. Even without words, he knew Adair held strong feelings towards him too. He knew the other could feel the love they shared and the strong feelings that connected them together.
“I’d like you to see my home too,” he stated, genuinely happy. “You have to visit me a lot so I don’t get lonely, okay? I want you to always be with me. You can meet my brother too. I’m sure he’ll like you. In fact, I’m sure you two are the same age. His name is Zach.”
He wanted the people he cared about to get along. He knew there wasn’t much hope for getting Adair to live with him, but he wanted the other to come over often and maybe even become friends with Zach. Of course, there was little chance of that happening, but he wanted the two to at least get along. Zach needed someone and Adair seemed cute. Then again, Zach didn’t like cute things…except Hello Kitty but if he mentioned anything about that, he’d get killed. Zach had a violent streak and he wasn’t willing to test the boy. In fact, he didn’t even want to be in the same room as the other when he was bored. The boy was indeed a scary person.

This man wouldn’t fight him and it annoyed Zach. The boy should have known. It was not the way of Zercan to beat up their mates, but that’s what Zach had been looking for, someone to hurt him. He gave one last glance at the other before he started to walk away again. He had been able to feel the other was Zercan since he had met him. Maybe it was a daemon thing or something, but he had always been able to tell if someone wasn’t human or such. It wasn’t something extraordinary when you thought about it. Anyone who paid close to details could have been able to tell Morgan wasn’t human. Zach was far from human too. While Morgan had probably sensed his Zercan sense, he hadn’t sensed his subtle daemon side. Zach had no cat form. That was something he’d gotten teased about as a child. He had no cat form nor could he change into anything. He wasn’t special at all, just the bastard child of a Zercan and daemon. That’s what they had started calling him, all of them. But he had learned to block their words out. He had learned to be strong all on his own and block out the words people threw at him. It had taken some time, but he had learned to stop hearing such words. Even if they said the worst things possible, he could tune out the meanings and pretend he hadn’t heard anything. Maybe to others this didn’t mean he was strong and might even be though of as cowardly, but it worked for Zach.
This was the only way he could go on. So even when Morgan spewed a bunch of nonsense, all he had to do was tune out the other and he didn’t have to hear it. He knew the other probably wasn’t lying. After all, he felt the bond too…the eclectic shock when he touched Morgan… That didn’t mean he had to be with the other, though. There was no rule that said he had to accept this. He didn’t want to accept it anyway. Zach just wanted to be left alone. That’s the way it’d always been. He wasn’t stupid. Even though he had been friends with Drake forever, the other would easily drop him. Eventually, Drake wouldn’t want to take care of his friend anymore. Once Drake had his mate, it was only a matter of time before Zach was kicked to the curb. Things just worked out like that. Zach wouldn’t get mad if his friend dropped him. He wouldn’t beg Drake to be his friend again or to let him stay. No, he’d respect the other’s wishes and leave. Even if he was even more lonely than before, he’d rather have that before he became a burden. Zach knew his mate could feel his distress and Zach wanted to block it all out. He’d never gotten enraged, never cried, or even shown signs of sadness. He was unchanging and unfeeling, but still, that didn’t mean there weren’t things buried deep inside that were just waiting to come out.
So Zach picked up his pace, the boots he wore making clicking sounds on the cement. Soon, the boy began to walk even faster. It got to the point where he was running. He was running down the sidewalk as fast as he could. His shoes made rapid sounds on the concrete and his heart started to pound faster and faster. He could feel a cramp start to form in his side, but he kept going anyway. His breathing had turned ragged and hard, but he was still running. This wasn’t just about Morgan; this was about a lot of things. If he could cry, he would have right now. He knew he wouldn’t get very far since Morgan was a Zercan, but he didn’t care. He’d go as far as he could and maybe see what happened from there.

"Alright! Let's go then! I wanna see what your room looks like!" Adair smiled, turning to tug Drake off in one direction. He was too innocent to know just how badly his words could've been twisted around. All he wanted to do was see where the other lived and what his room looked like. You could tell a lot about a person by their rooms, anyway. You could tell if they were messy or organized.. what kind of clothes they wore... what they liked to do for recreation... There was a literal plethora of information lurking behind a person's bedroom door. Adair wanted to know everything about Drake, so he wanted to start at the basics. After he'd gathered all the information he could on his own, he would question the other about the remaining bits of info that he wanted to know. He got a few feet before he stopped and turned on his heels to Drake again. Right, so why was he in the lead? He hadn't thought before he started moving that there was a possibility that Drake's house could've been in the totally opposite direction he was moving in, "You lead. I'll follow you anywhere, okay?"
He liked it that Drake had said he could visit a lot. Adair liked the idea of being with Drake always, though he knew he was impossible due to school. The other looked older, so Adair figured he was either a senior or already in college. He was just a sophomore, so there wasn't any real way that he could spend all of his time with the other. That was a sad thought. He was sure that now he had met Drake, it would be hard to function without him by his side. Besides, who would answer all of his questions or hold his hand? He didn't want anyone else to hold his hand. That was a privilege strictly for Drake only. A lot of things, like kissing and holding hands, were off-limits to everyone else but the older teen now. He didn't want anyone touching him the way Drake did.
"I'll visit every day!" Adair announced happily, taking another step towards his mate to give him a one-armed hug, "you can visit me, too! I'll show you where I live and then you can come by whenever you want! My parents won't mind--they said they were always worried that i never have had any of my friends over to my house... So, they'll be happy!"
At the mention of his family, Adair was reminded that Drake had spoke of his own family--his brother. So, the other had a younger sibling? That was interesting. Adair had always wanted a younger brother or sister to play with because, as close as he was to Morgan, there were just some things he would've rather confessed to a younger sibling than an older one. Besides, he had always been pampered since he was the youngest. Sometimes, he just didn't want his family to pay so much attention to him. It would be nice if there was a younger child in the family to share that with.
"You can meet my brother, too! Morgan is really nice!" Adair continued, fully unaware that if Morgan knew how he and Drake were acting that he would strongly disapprove, "He'll be happy that I made a friend. I haven't had a friend since my other friend moved away earlier this year."

"Well, at least you're not going to try and hit me again," Morgan mumbled, mostly to himself as Zach just turned and walked off without a word. Of course, he followed. He hadn't really noticed the change in speed until the distance between the two of them because really noticeable and only then did he pick up his speed. But the time the other was running, Morgan was chasing after him. He could run fairly fast, but his endurance was something that had room for improvement. He sincerely hoped that Zach stopped before his remaining bit of stamina left him. He had just found the one person meant for him and, despite how violent and mean he was to Morgan, the older Zercan didn't want to let him out of his sight ever again now that he would be found. He wasn't mad that Zach was trying to run away, either. He knew the boy must've had good reason for doing what he was doing. Something must've happened to him to make him want to flat-out reject his mate and that wasn't Zach's fault. If anything, Morgan felt sorry for the other.
"Why're you.. running?!" Morgan panted out as he ran, moving between catching up with the other to falling behind as he continued to follow the other. He wondered just where the other was running, just hoping that the other didn't choose to try and escape into an occupied back- alley. Morgan was well-known to the felinquent masses, or at least known more than the average child terror. He didn't want for someone to see him chasing Zach down because, other than never hearing the end of it, it could make Zach a target. As many friends and admirers that Morgan had, he had an equal or greater number of enemies willing to do just about anything to get back at him. The people he mostly made enemies were the kids that took being 'tough' at little too far--the crowds that liked to pull boxcutters and broken bottles on each other when there was even a minor disagreement between them. As much as he thought Zach could take care of himself, he didn't want to end up being an indirect hassle for him.
(( I'll just end the post here. Need to get some homework together really quick and my ideas to finish out the post ran dry. XD; ))

He should have known Morgan would follow him. He supposed he should have expected this, but he had been hoping the other would give up and leave him alone. Zach was used to running from things. Whether it was because he was late or getting away from some sort of bully, he was used to running. The boy slept like a log. He was always tired it seemed and had trouble getting to places on time. Most days, he ended up running to school since Drake didn’t want to be late and always left way before Zach was even awake. The boy liked it when he was asleep better than when he was awake. In his dreams, everything was right and there was no one there to hurt him. That’s why Zach liked dreams. Even though he knew they weren’t reality and that they would never come true, it was the only place he could show a bit of his true self. In that world, he could ask for anything and know he was going to get it. Not in reality, though. In the real world, Zach never asked for anything. There was nothing he’d ever really wanted badly, so he hadn’t bothered to ask for anything. He spoke his mind, even when he hurt others, and never really cared much for apologies. Zach didn’t like hearing people tell him they were sorry. That was a lie. They were never sorry so he had long ago decided he had no need for such useless words. Lots of people had told him they were sorry and it had taken him a while, but he had finally realized that those words hadn’t been sincere. People lied, it’s what they did. Even when they said things like ‘I’m sorry,’ they were still liars.
He didn’t want to hear anything Morgan was going to try and deceive him with. Most people would be glad to have found someone that loved them, but not Zach. He had only wanted to be left alone. When people had picked on him at school, he hadn’t said anything. When they had taken his things or talked about him behind his back, he had kept his mouth shut. He’d gone through life never saying anything about what people did to him or anything like that. He’d never done anything to anyone. So…then why did everyone have to bother him? Why was he always targeted? He wasn’t handsome or anything like that and he wasn’t actually that smart, but people picked on him anyway. He had never gotten angry over it either, but it was starting to get rather annoying. Zach didn’t get angry or pissed off, he just got annoyed. Anger was too strong of an emotion for someone like Zach to feel. The boy never felt things like that. He had those emotions just like everyone else, but never used them. It had become harder and harder to keep them inside, though. He was close to breaking and didn’t even know it. Then again, Zach never realized something until it was too late anyway.
He ducked into an alley when Morgan didn’t stop chasing him. There were a few people inside, but Zach didn’t pay them much mind. His goal was to outrun Morgan and get back home safely. He’d been running in the opposite direction and had no intention of letting the other know where he lived. The guy would probably stalk him and show up at his home if he let him know where his house was. The guy was just creepy like that he supposed. If Drake saw him, maybe the two would get into a fist fight. It was always amusing to watch Drake beat the crap out of someone. It’d be especially fun to see Drake and Morgan fight. It was anyone’s guess who’d win between those two dumbasses. Zach turned another corner. He didn’t know his way around this part of town as well as he did other sections, but he had a pretty good sense of direction and was sure he wouldn’t get lost. Even if he did, he could take a cab ride home or call Drake on a payphone. The boy huffed and puffed until he finally started to slow down. He found himself in yet another alley, tired and worn out.

It seemed like the boy had no clue either what it meant to bring someone home. Drake made it habit not to bring people home with him. It wasn’t that he was ashamed or anything but Zach was always home and he hadn’t wanted to do anything to upset his friend. When Zach wasn’t pleased, he got violent. He almost felt guilty about taking Adair home since the boy didn’t know what it meant. Of course, he was only encouraged to hold his tongue when he noted how excited he other was. The boy kept tugging at him and wanting him to hurry. It was cute to see the other’s face light up at the thought of them doing something together. Of course, he boy wasn’t taking them in the right direction, but it was cute nonetheless. Most of the time, Adair did things that were just adorable. He didn’t know how the boy had gotten good at being so cute, but everything he did made Drake smile. He hadn’t been this happy since… Well, he’d never been his happy before. Even though he had had a close friend, he had never had someone to love. That didn’t mean he didn’t love Zach, but this was a different kind of love. Adair made his heart beat faster and his mind shut down. Every time they touched, he felt a rush and like he was on top of the world. It was pure love. He wished for their love to stay the same. He wanted them to have a good and pure relationship forever.
Every time he’d been with someone, everything had gone bad. Sometimes he’d ended up cheating on the person he was with or the other person would cheat first. There were times when he just stopped talking to someone as a way of telling them he didn’t like them anymore. Even though he had been going out with that person, or at least sleeping with them, he had easily been able to drop them after they had started to bore him. It wasn’t something that was nice to do and he wasn’t that proud of it, but that’s the way he’d been with people. It hadn’t mattered if they were in love with him or not, he’d dropped them as thought they were nothing. He’d gotten into the habit of not caring about anyone but himself. He had been a very selfish person and even though he had known this, he hadn’t cared in the least bit. He had simply kept doing what he’d done before and not cared that the things he did had consequences and not good ones. But with Adair, he couldn’t help but care. It was because the other meant so much to him that he was forced to care.
“Ne, it’ll be fun to have you every day…but…I don’t know if your parents will like me…” he muttered nervously. “I’d like to see your room and everything…but maybe your mother and father won’t like me… Even if your parents don’t like me, I’ll still be your friend, okay?”
Things were not going to go well if he met Adair’s parents. He was sure the two would kick his ass if he told them he was going to take their son away. Not only that, but he was sure they’d kill him and sell his organs on eBay. No one wanted their young child to get pregnant. Even though the boy was around Zach’s age, he acted like a small child. A person like that was too innocent. He probably had a lot of people that wanted to protect him. Drake already wanted to be the one that protected him. He figured Morgan was the type of brother that never let Adair out of his sight. He wondered why Adair was all alone in this part of town. Someone had neglected to keep better track of the boy and Drake hoped his mate didn’t get himself into trouble. Adair was a curious boy and looked like he’d end up making someone angry without meaning to or find himself in some sort of fight. Kids like Adair usually got themselves dragged into problems like that easily.
“”I’m sure….Morgan’s really nice…” he stated weakly. “Unless he decides to kick my ass… Hey! Let’s go get ice cream first! You love ice cream, don’t you Adair? Let’s go then!”

"Why wouldn't my parents like you?" Adair looked up at the other, his face serious for a moment. He was confused on why the other assumed this. His parents seemed to be kind, respectful people and always told him that they would've been much happier if Adair made some new friends. Of course, he was too naive to realize that his mother had meant friends of his own age, not questionable university students he'd met in the red light district part of town. But, as far as he could tell, Drake was a good person. In his eyes, the other couldn't do anything wrong. The younger teen looked at him in almost the same way as Morgan, though in much high regards. Even if he ever did found out about things Drake took a part in, Adair wouldn't have minded. The older boy was all the mattered to him now and he wouldn't have it any other way, whether he was pure or impure. The good would outweight the bad. Adair smiled suddenly and leaned in closer, his voice quiet, "Even if they don't like you for some reason, there's a balcony into my room and it's not that hard to climb up. I tried it once, just for fun, and it wasn't hard at all! I'm sure you could do it!"
Adair really didn't know what he was implying, but it was very much the standard for the freakishly pure child. He had no idea that climbing up balconies to get to people's rooms usually meant that the visit would escalate to more anything much more intimate than just sitting around, talking, or even sharing a kiss or two. Adair's mind just couldn't fathom that, partially because he didn't understand sex anyway. The other part that blocked the assumption from his mind? Well, he never imagined that anyone would go behind their parents backs to do such odd things. He honestly didn't get out much.
"Ice cream sounds nice!" Adair chimed in at the mention of the cold treat. He had always loved sweets of any kind and ice cream was definitely one of his favorites. The offer was just too good to be passed up--nice ice cream with the man he was pretty sure he was in love with. Being an early Sunday night, he figured a few of his classmates would be at the ice cream parlor, too, but he didn't care if they saw him and Drake together. Besides, why would they care anyway? They weren't anything spectacular, just by looking at them. But, the last time Adair had made a friend, people had talked about him and started rumors about him. Mostly, they were just stupid things, but one had once gotten around the school that Adair wasn't as 'innocent' as he seemed, thanks to the friend he had made. Adair hadn't understood what everyone had meant, but the snickers in the hall and the malicious whispers behind his back was enough to make him break down in the middle of the hall one day and sob there until Morgan had to come to his rescue and take him home.

Morgan didn't like running. He didn't like running at all. Another thing Morgan didn't like was the type of boys that avoided him at all costs. These types usually ended up being the skittish, the nerdy-slash-geeky boys, and the 'good' children of the school--the kind that make their straight 'A's by brown-nosing, pure and simple. Besides, those kinds of boys had their teachers to play around with. Morgan didn't need nor want them, aside from a quick fuck if it was offered, of course. But, right at that moment, Morgan didn't care that he was running after a boy that had absolutely no interest in him. He loved this boy and if Zach wanted to run straight across the city and right into the next, Morgan would've tried his hardest to stay right at his heels. There wasn't anything that Morgan wouldn't have done for his mate, more or less. That's what someone did when they loved another person, right?
It was funny, though, that Morgan had ended up with a mate that was running away from him as fast as possible. Ever since he'd began his search for his mate back when he started high school, he'd imagined the kind of mate he would get paired up with. His mental image of his prediction for his mate had been someone the normal person would definitely consider trash. He'd always thought he'd end up with one of the kids that wouldn't care what they did, didn't care at all for the repercussions, and would do just about anything you would like them to do for a little bit of money. But, he had ended up with Zach, who seemed just as weird as a person could possibly be.
"Damnit! Stop running!" Morgan called out to the other as he continued his pursuit. His side was cramping, he was out of breath, and he was completely exhausted, but he wouldn't give up. He wanted to get to know his mate better than just what a quick look at the other on the sidewalk and the view of his back could give away on it's own. He didn't care to stop to mess with the people they passed in the first alleyway and prayed he wasn't recognized. It was annoying as hell to have people bother him over shit they had saw him do that was out of character for him. But it wasn't on his mind long when Zach ducked into another alley. He was slowing down--finally. Hopefully, he'd come to a complete stop soon. Morgan didn't know how much more he could honestly take.

“Let’s go get some ice cream then,” smiled the Zercan as he took Adair’s hand in his own. “I-I like strawberry, what about you? You seem to really like ice cream… Is there a specific shop you want to go to? We’ll go anywhere you want.”
He was glad he had distracted the other because he really hadn’t wanted to tell the other why he knew his parents would hate him. It was pretty obvious why Adair’s family would hate him. Not only was he much older than the boy, he was a man too. The first thing Zach and Drake had noted was that males seemed to mate with females on this planet. Even his younger friend had been appalled and more than a little scared. He’d avoided women for two weeks straight until he realized they were pretty harmless…most of the time. Of course, Adair’s parents probably wanted the boy to marry a nice girl or something. That seemed to be the goal of many males on this planet. Drake found it odd and even though he’d read a Biology textbook, he still found the way humans reproduced quite weird. Of course, this was just going to make it harder for him to convince the boy’s family that Adair was pregnant and such… Well, he’d worry about that after he’d claimed Adair and impregnated the boy. After all, there was no use in worrying about things before they happened. Of course, with the way things were going, Adair would get pregnant soon enough. Drake had never been a patient person. In fact, he hated waited, especially when it involved him waiting for another person. He found that he had better things to spend his time on rather than wasting it on someone else. That’s why when Adair had mentioned the balcony; his control had slipped a little.
The other probably didn’t know the full extent of his words, but Drake did. He had already been having trouble keeping his hormones in check and this was not helping. He was already thinking bad thoughts and getting rather graphic images. He knew he was a pervert, but he couldn’t help it. Adair was really cute and the other knew just what to say to turn him on. Of course, the boy was probably doing this by accident. Adair probably had no idea what Drake was thinking about at the moment. He’d probably scare the boy off if he had a chance to look into his mind. Drake didn’t want that. He didn’t want Adair to hate him or even fear him, but he wasn’t a patient person and he might end up hurting the other if the boy continued to tempt him. But for now, he’d do his best to protect Adair from others and especially from himself. Drake was probably the biggest threat to the boy at the moment. Still, the man would do all he could to prevent anything bad from happening.
As he walked down the street with Adair’s hand in his own, he couldn’t help but feel really happy. The only other person he’d really held hands with was Zach, but this felt different. This boy wasn’t his friend, he was his mate and that made all the difference. People didn’t stare or look at them oddly like he thought they would, but then again, Adair resembled a female. Though many girls in Japan dated older men, he doubted people would think it was right for Adair to date an older man. It always came back to the issue that they were both male. It irked Drake that humans could be so narrow-minded, but there was really nothing he could do. Of course, he couldn’t leave Adair here. Now that he had his mate, he couldn’t leave him on this planet. He was still on the run, though. He couldn’t go back to Zerca just yet. Perhaps it’d be better to leave for the other planet after some time had passed. He pondered over his options and only hoped his mate wouldn’t freak out on him.

If the other thought he was going to stop, he was sadly mistaken. Zach wouldn’t stop even if Morgan had screamed at the top of his lungs while wearing a yellow sundress. Of course, today was the day the universe had picked to screw over Zach. Maybe all the cosmic beings held anti-Zach meetings or something and had picked today to be the worst day of his life. There was a tearing sound and before he knew it, Zach found himself on the concrete floor of a dark alley. Once again, his pant leg had gotten stuck on something. He wasn’t hurt, but his pants had been torn open. Fortunately, it only happened on one pant leg. It was totally ripped from one side, causing the pant leg to open and reveal a smooth, pale leg. The boy groaned. He knew Morgan had caught up now. The other was much faster and the only reason Zach had gotten away was because he had gotten a head start and was used to running a lot. He had high stamina, which helped during exercise. The boy muttered some things before sitting up and observing the damage. There was nothing bad, but he couldn’t run anymore. It seems all those cramps and soreness had caught up. His legs felt like lead and his breathing was too ragged and he looked like he had trouble breathing, though he was fine. The boy flopped back onto the floor slowly as to not crack his skull on the floor. But then again, it might have been better than getting to see your stalker again. At this point, anything was better than seeing Morgan.
The floor felt a bit damp from various things spilt on the ground and the boy now had his eyes closed even though he wasn’t planning on sleeping or anything like that. He had his hands behind his head and both legs stretched out in front of him. Maybe if he did sleep here Morgan would think he was nuts and leave. There was no way he was going to be able to keep going. With no strength left, he didn’t even know how he was getting home. If he asked Morgan for help, the other would know where he lived, but if he didn’t ask for help, Morgan might take him to his own home and try to nurse him back to health or something equally weird. The possibilities were endless and he wished he knew what the other was thinking about. It was difficult to know what Morgan was thinking. The guy really was a mystery. For all he knew, maybe the other wasn’t a creepy Zercan…okay that was a lie. Morgan was as creepy as they came and he had gotten stuck with the King of Freaks. The boy sat up again. His clothes had gotten dirtier and more torn when he’d been lying down. Then again, he was in a dirty alley so what did he expect.
“I’m tired now…” he sighed. “You just won’t give up… It’s hard to get away from you, isn’t it? Just go find someone else. I don’t want your love, so go find someone else. I don’t want you. I’d much rather be all alone, so just…disappear.”
He had looked up at the sky when he’d say this and not in the direction of the other. He knew by now Morgan had caught up since the other had been so close before. He had to admit, Morgan was an excellent runner. He’d never seen someone move so fast before. He supposed this was due to the other’s Zercan blood. If he had to guess, Zach would assume the other was full Zercan. How he had ended up here was anyone’s guess. No Zercan would settle for living here. Zach planned on returned to Zerca one day. This planet wasn’t his home and it would never be. That’s why he had already decided to leave as soon as Drake though it was safe. If Morgan stayed behind, that was fine. He didn’t need anyone anyway and he hated this place. Everything was ever more cold here than over there, especially the people. That’s why, even though he also hated it over there, he wanted to go back to Zerca and to his old life.

"Strawberry is nice, but I like vanilla the best," Adair smiled, limiting himself to one favorite flavor. In truth, there were tons of kinds and variations that Adair loved to pieces. He didn't have much of a taste for the mint flavored ice cream, but rocky road was nice. Butter pecan was just disgusting. The second most important factor, though, was toppings. Sprinkles were always a necessary treat for any serving of ice cream, but hot fudge, gummi bears, and a host of other sugary sweets were good, too. It would just be asking for it to ask his preference in cone, "Hmm.. I think there's one of those really great cold stone ice cream places somewhere close... I don't really know where I'm at right now, so I don't know if it's close or not..."
The brunette boy shrugged one of his shoulders, the fact that he had no idea where he was at the moment not affecting him in the least. Even more alarming was that he didn't know how to get back to his own home from the street he was on. But, he didn't care about that, either. He was just happy that he was with Drake. Curfew didn't matter anymore. As long as Drake wanted to spend time with him, he would be happy. If he got home at two in the morning, he knew he would be grounded but he didn't care. He would still find a way to see Drake. He knew it would only be worse if he never returned home that night at all, but that seemed even more enjoyable than going back to his house by ten thirty. He wanted to be with Drake for a long time, not just a few hours. That small amoutn of time would just be pitiful and any time not spent in the other's company would seem like a complete and total waste..
Adair gently chewed on the inside of his bottom lip as his mind toyed with an idea. After a moment of careful deliberation, he slipped his hand out of Drake's momentarily. It felt terrible to take his hand away from the other's intentionally. But, the terrible feeling was gone whenever he stepped closer to the other as they walked, wrapping both of his thin arms around one of Drake's. He rested his head against the other's arm and tilted his head just enough to look up at the older teen. He liked this feeling a lot, just like holding the other's hand. There was more contact between the two of them and that was something Adair's subconscience was wanting. His curiosity was getting the best of him again. Again, his cheeks were starting to regain the slight red tint they had had before.
"Drake, my face feels funny," Adair mumbled, briefly lifting one of his arms away from the other's to lay his hand across one of his cheeks, "Why are my cheeks so warm all of a sudden?"
He dropped his hand away from his face to return to Drake's arm, still mystified by why he was blushing. He knew people blushed when they were embarrassed, but he wasn't humiliated that he was latching himself onto the blonde's arm. In fact, he liked it a lot and he didn't care if anyone saw them as such. That feeling certainly wasn't embarrassment, but if it wasn't.. what exactly was it?
"You make me feel so weird, Drake!" Adair laughed after a moment, his adorable smile returning, "But it's a good weird, I think. I like it."
