Kinome shifted in his sleep, whimpering softly. Almost as if he was in pain. Tossing and turning, he managed to get his sheets tangled tightly around him, restricting his movement and causing his breath to increase in panic while his mind fought imaginary demons. He felt trapped and his nightmare entrapped mind interpreted the restricted movement in an entirely different manner causing the boys whimpers to increase.
A key turned in the front door, signifying the return of Kinome’s father. Kinome, still being asleep had overslept by his own definition. He had not gotten up in time to prepare anything for his father to eat… nor had he managed to run the bath. Fortunately for him, still being asleep, he was oblivious to this fact… though whether he would remain oblivious once his father entered was debatable and all depended on his father’s frame of mind that day.
A brow haired elderly man, face world weary and worn slipped onto the house, tired grey eyes glancing around him as he closed the door. Running a tired hand through his hair he carefully placed down his briefcase heading towards the kitchen.

Adish finished the soup with a triumphantly grin. He didn't want to make too much noise in case he woke the boy up. He swiftly ladled up two bowls of steaming hot soup and set them on the table. Once that was finished, he went back to the boy's room to see if the boy would eat.
When he entered the room, however, he saw the silver-haired beauty writhing in his sleep. Adish frowned in worry. Very gently, he touched the boy's shoulder. "Hey... hey, wake up," he said softly. He shook the boy's shoulder lightly and frowned when he didn't wake. "Come on, get up!" He 'hmph'ed lightly.
He would have let the boy sleep, except he seemed to be having a nightmare. Eade hated having nightmares, so the young dragonis had always thanked Adish when he woke him from them.
Adish took a seat on the bed beside the boy, but jumped back up when he heard someone opening the front door. Was it the boy's father? He didn't want to find out. He quickly glanced around the room for a place to hide... the closet? Adish sighed. That would have to do.

The man walked into the house, shoulders slumped, looking as if the weight of the whole world were upon him. He was clearly grieving, tired lines of sorrow engraved upon his face. Trailing his hand along the wall, he wearily walked towards his bedroom intending to lie down. The loss of his son and wife weighed heavily upon his heart.
He frowned when the smell of warm food met his senses. He made his way into the kitchen to frown at the warm soup lying on the counter. Trailing the finger along the bowl he looked around. Seeing no one, he frowned again. Who could have made this soup? Deciding not to look a gift horse in the mouth he sat down and ate the soup, smiling softly as it brought back warm memories of cold winter days when his wife would force feed everyone soup to keep them warm.
When he finished the soup, he frowned at the second plate and pot on stove. It wasn’t the first time he had encountered warm food from nowhere. It was odd, odd but appreciated. Carefully placing the bowl in the sink he walked the rest of the way to his bedroom, knowing when he woke, the bowl would be clean and put away. If he were suspicious he’d believe in fairies. As it was he chose to not delve too deeply lest he lose the blessing he seemed to have gained.
Kinome’s whimpers, in the meantime, had died down, leaving the boy panting in panic, hands clenched in his sheets, rasping breath struggling through constricting lungs. He was having another panic attack, lips taking on a slight blue tinge while he fought to get enough air into his lungs, the lack of breath tearing him from one nightmare into another, more real one.

When the noise of whoever had arrived had died down, Adish exited the closet. He gasped when he saw the state the boy was in. He rushed to the boy's side. The boy was gasped for breath in his sleep. Adish pouted in worry. He had no idea what to do.
The red-headed dragonis placed a hand on the boy's cheek and smacked the boy lightly a few times, though not with much strength behind it- he didn't want to hurt the boy. When that didn't work either, he was really starting to worry. Should he call out for whoever else was in the house? No. That would only raise the question of why he was there.
He couldn't think of any way to help the boy. Maybe.... Adish bit his lip softly before leaning forward. He took in a breath before laying his lips over the boy's and pushing the air into the boy's mouth. That was supposed to help, wasn't it? Though, it felt more like he was kissing the boy than helping him. Adish blushed when that thought came to mind. He was just trying to help! ... Honest.

Kinome’s hands were clenched tight, his mind battling to make connections in his panicked haze. He was awake, awake but unable to comprehend what was going on. His lips were warm, a trickle of air making its way in. Air… Oh how he needed air. It was not enough… it would never be enough, no matter how much he got.
But it was enough… enough to clear his mind a little. Enough to allow his mind to make one important connection. Tearing his lips from the heat, Kinome stumbled out the bed, trembling hands opening a drawer that had remained closed for two years, digging through the mess to come up with a slim object. Kinome pressed the object to his lips and pressed, breath calming as the medication began to work which was a wonder in itself, seeing as it was expired, about a year ago.
Closing his eyes, Kinome savored breathing once more. Why was he having these attacks again? It couldn’t be because he was ill could it? The doctors had warned him. Warned him not to upset himself, not overwork himself, take a break if he got fever or flu… but they didn’t understand… he couldn’t ‘afford’ to.

Adish stepped back when the boy jerked away from him. He watched as the boy grabbed something from the nighttable and put it to his mouth. Adish tilted his head to the side then crawled up beside the boy on the bed. He looked at the silver-haired boy and frowned in worry.
"Are you alright? You looked really bad... I didn't know what to do........ You're okay, right?"

Weary silver eyes gazed at Adish. "What are you still doing here?" Kinome enquired tiredly, still taking careful breaths. He gazed around the room, eyes suddenly widening in horror when he realized it was already dark. Leaping up he rushed towards the bedroom door. "Shoot, I need to get supper started. Please tell me I didnt oversleep, please tell me Dad's not home, he;s late... Please let me be in time." He muttered, heading towards the kitchen.

Adish followed after the boy like a lost puppy. When they reached the kitchen, Adish saw that one of the bowls was empty. "Don't worry. It looks like your dad had my bowl. I came to wake you up to see if you wanted to eat, but then you were like that... So I tried to help you, and then he came home so I hid in the closet. Here, sit down! Eat! It's really good!" He took up the empty bowl and moved to the sink to wash it.

Kinome stared at the food in shock. He could barely remember the last time someone else had prepared a meal for him. He swallowed past a sudden lump in his throat, gantly tracing the contours of the bowl but not eating it. He looked up with tear filled silver eyes, gazing at Adish. "Why?" He whispered. "Why are you doing this? Don't you have somewhere better to be?"

Adish looked back at the boy and blinked. "... I'm doing this because I want to help you. I promised you I'd help you, didn't I? And besides, I just got here. You're the first person I've met on this pl-... since I got here."

"Do you always do things for the first person you meet in a new place?" Kinome enquired, raising a silver eyebrow in question. "Don't you think that's just the slightest bit odd?" Kinome's gaze returned to the soup... The soup looked so pretty, so much better than when he tried to make it... Soup was the one thing he had been unable to master. He could never seem to balance the ingredients right.

Adish chuckled. "Nope! Usually, I just stick to myself and help the people I want to help. Usually I would'a just helped them get home or beat up the people being mean," he explained, relaxing back into his usual demeanor. "But you're different. I just can't seem to make myself leave... Only that sounds creepy. I'm sorry. I'm not creepy, and I'm not a bad guy- I swear... even if that's what Mom thinks. But what does he know, eh?" He smiled at the boy and turned back to finish washing the bowl. Once that was finished, he set the clean bowl on a towel to dry and took a seat next to the boy. "... You're not eating. Do you not like it? I probably put too much spice in it."

Kinome shrugged. "I don't think I will be able to keep it down. While I feel a bit better, I still don’t feel very well." Kinome had no idea why he was telling Adish this. He didn't usually make a habit of telling people what he really felt. He tended to hide behind an image of strength he wised to portray, yet here he was spilling the beans to a stranger... a stranger who was acting like a stalker no less and seemed to be speaking strangely. He had picked up on the stranger calling his mother a 'he' but was convinced he must have misheard... he was sick after all... So, in order not to make himself look stupid he didn’t ask...

"Oh... Okay." That didn't make much sense to Adish. When he was sick, Eade made him eat, whether he wanted to or not. But this was different, he didn't want to push the boy and he didn't want to take the chance of the boy getting even more sick because of him. "... You know, I still don't know your name. I don't know what made me think of that..."

Kinome was surprised at that. Here he had a stranger in his home… a stranger who had made food for him, who didn’t even know his name. And to top things off, this stranger had done nothing to hurt anyone, not like… Kinome hastily killed that line of thought.
Kinome returned his gaze to Adish. “Aki, Ki… Kinome.” He stated softly, uncertainly.
