Taming Butterflies((Damijan/Gabriel))

[Damijan]

Damijan put an arm around Gabriel's waist, smiling slightly. "If you want, we could transport that back to the ship for later," he said, indicating the bag on his mate's back. He didn't want for the smaller boy to have to carry such a large pack all through lunch and then most likely a forest, after all.

[Gabriel]

Gabby shrugged and smiled. "I don't mind.... It's not so heavy..." he mumbled, adjusting the weight of the bag as he spoke. "If you want to, I don't mind. But... It won't make you tired again, will it?" he asked worriedly, "Will you have to use that again?" He pointed to the jewel that hung from Dami's neck.

[Damijan]

Damijan smiled and shook his head. "No, it's a new day, after all," he said as he took the bag from Gabriel's back and concentrated. A large 'pop' was heard, and then the bag was gone. "I only have to use my necklace because I'm still not completely mature in the magic department...Meaning I can only do a limited amount of things in one day. It really doesn't hurt me to use my gem though, babe."

Jixin laughed quietly at the two. Already they acted like long-term mates...Worrying about each other and everything. He could tell it would be amusing to see them together in the future.

[Gabriel]

After awhile of walking, Gabby stopped the two Wizards. "Here it is! I love this place! They have good soup!" He lead the two inside and to a table while they waited for Mandy and Xander to arrive. They sat quietly for a moment as Gabby looked over Jixin. "So... Tell me something about you, so I'm not completely in the dark about Dami's family."

[Damijan]

Jixin smiled back over at the Human and crossed his arms contemplatively. "Let's see...Well, my name's Jixin Malak, as you know. I don't live with the family; I have my own house in the next town over where I work as a carpenter or sorts. I make furniture, toys, jewellery, trinkets, that kinda thing...out of wood," he said, shrugging. "What about you?"

[Gabriel]

Gabby smiled. "I'm not done interrogating you yet. Do you have a mate? ... and... could I see something that you've made? I think it's really cool when people do stuff like that."

[Damijan]

Jixin laughed and nodded. "No, I don't have a mate...And yes, you can see some of my stuff sometime. If you like that kind of thing though, I think Blish is a metalworker and Hanaa is a glass blower," he offered, shrugging.

Damijan nodded. "I think that was it...Or maybe it was the other way around. I haven't seen Hanaa for awhile though. Isn't he on maternity leave?"

His brother made a sound of agreement and ran a hand through his hair. "He should visit soon then. I think he came over within the first month though..."

[Gabriel]

Gabby watched silently, with a smile, as the two brothers talked. He didn't talk because he didn't want to interrupt them, it was good to see that Dami finally had someone to talk to that wasn't one of Gabby's friends; he also didn't talk because he had no idea what they were talking about. He tried to follow along, but he got lost somewhere along the way.

Damijan realized the quiet from his mate and looked over sheepishly. "Sorry, Gabby. Anyways, Blish and Hanaa are two of my elder brothers. Blish isn't mated, but Hanaa is...Hence the reason we're talking about him being on maternity leave," he explained.

[Gabriel]

Gabby nodded in understanding. "Ah, I see." He looked sheepishly at the brothers. "Sorry, I got kinda lost." Just then, Mandy and Xander arrived, finding the trio easily and sitting down. Mandy looked over and Jixin and smiled widely.

"Hey, you new here? I don't think I've seen you around here before."

[Damijan]

Jixin nodded slightly and motioned to Damijan. "Yeah. That little guy is my younger brother. I came to pick him up," he said.

Said younder brother looked affronted for a second. "Hey! I may be smaller then you, but I'm bigger then them! Don't call me little!" Stupid brothers...

[Gabriel]

Xander snorted, Mandy giggled, and Gabby flat-out laughed. He kissed Dami on the cheek and leaned his head against the Wizard's shoulder. He sobered quickly, however, and looked over at his friends. "Guys... I- I'm leaving... with Dami and Jixin... I'll come back and visit... but..." Mandy stared at him with wide eyes.

"You're leaving? For how long? To where?" Gabby shook his head; if he told them where, they wouldn't believe him. Xander glared at Dami.

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you." He scowled at the pale-haired teen then sighed in defeat before glaring, though it was a bit more tame. "If you hurt him, I'll hunt you down myself, got it, 'little guy'?" Gabby kicked him under from under the table.

[Damijan]

Damijan raised an eyebrow and nodded. "I won't hurt him...I couldn't, but I think we've been through this conversation before," he said before looking over at Mandy. "I'm sorry...But we're kinda going...far away from here." A snort was heard from Jixin and the pale-haired Wizard thought he heard the other say, 'understatemnt of the century', but he could have been wrong...

[Gabriel]

Mandy sighed sadly. "...Oh..." Her reaction made Gabby sad, too. He reached over and hugged her.

"I promise I'll come back and visit! I promise! Don't look so sad, or I'll cry!" Mandy returned the hug quickly before the waitress arrived to take their orders.

Damijan watched the two with sad eyes and lightly rubbed a hand over over Gabriel's back in comfort before he noticed the waitress coming over. "Will you order for me and Jixin?" he asked his mate as the boy pulled away from his friend.
