Gabby mumbled in his sleep. The bed wasn't as warm anymore, with Dami gone. He could hear muffled voices as well. He sighed loudly in defeat and climbed out of bed. Trudging down the hallway, he stopped at the top of the stairs and quietly watched as Dami talked with a man that looked similar to the pale-haired Wizard, only taller. Obviously, it was Damijan's brother. Gabby yawned and walked down the stairs, jumping on his mate's back once he reached the bottom. "The bed got cold without you..." he mumbled quietly, so his mother wouldn't hear.

Damijan smiled brighter then before and wrapped an arm behind him, so Gabriel wouldn't fall. "Jixin, I'd like you to meet my mate, Gabriel," he said proudly, knowing the other Humans besides the pink haired boy wouldn't know what he was talking about.
Jixin looked suprised for a second before he bowed. Standing up straight again, he ran one hand through choppily cut teal hair while offering the other to Gabby. "Awesome. It's very nice to meet you then. You'll have to visit me at my house sometime with Dami."

Gabby reached out and shook the man's hand. "Nice to meet you, too." Once his hand was released, his put his arm back around Dami's shoulders to hold himself. He hid his face in his mate's neck, kissing the the other's shoulder before jumping down. "Should I be getting ready to go then?"

Dami nodded slightly, trying to do it so the curiously staring family wouldn't notice. They really didn't need that sort of trouble. "Yeah..."
"Well, we won't leave until after lunch probably, so you'll have time to say good-bye," Jixin casually said as if talking to his brother, though it was really Gabriel he was speaking to.

Gabby nodded, warily watching his family, which was, all except his mom, trying to descreetly listen in. His mother was just standing a few feet away and staring at them. He ran upstairs and started throwing a few things together: clothes, a few books, his photo album, Gretta- just in case, and a few other trinkets with sentimental value. Once everything was stuffed in his emptied-out bookbag he set it on his bed and changed out of his pajamas and into some jeans and a t-shirt before heading back downstairs.

Damijan and Jixin were quietly talking with each other downstairs when Gabriel came down. The younger Wizard turned from his brother and smiled over at Gabriel. He pulled the other into a hug when he was close enough and began to whisper in his hair. "You ready?" he asked softly, brushing a strand of hair from Gabriel's eyes. "what are you going to tell your family and friends? The choice is yours, of course, but they'll probably not believe the truth."

Gabby nodding, returning the hug. "I'll just tell them the half truth, I guess." He called out for his family, and once they were all together he had them sit down. "Okay... We need to talk." Sarah looked up at him sadly.
"You're going somewhere?... I saw you packing earlier..." Gabby frowned and nodded.
"See... Dami left his home 'cause he was trying to get away from this guy.......... Anyway, and now he has to go home... But... I'm going with him." Angie stood up and glared at Dami and his brother before giving Gabby a look.
"I don't know what this boy has said to you, but you're not going anywhere. You would have to be insane to think that I would let you go with some.... mutt off the streets!" Gabby scowled at his mother.
"I don't think you have any say in this," he hissed.

Damijan's eyes narrowed as well, but he had to bite down the ugre to yell. He wanted to tell the woman that by law, Gabriel was now under his care and she, as his mate said, had no say. Of course, this would lead into more then just that so...He decided to let the Human boy deal with his family.

Angie snarled. "Don't talk to me like that! Show some respect!" Gabby raised his chin and stared at her defiantly.
"Or you'll what? Hit me? You know you wouldn't sink that low, Mother." Mr. Hedge stood up, grabbing his wife and carefully setting her down on the couch. Once he was sure she wasn't going to grab the nearest cushion and tear it to shreds, he turned to his only son.
"Gabriel, are you sure about this? I mean, you've known this boy for, what, two days? Are you sure this is really the best thing for you?" he asked calmly. Gabby nodded, glad that he could deal, now, with his father, who was much more level-headed.
"Yes. I'm positive. How long did it take you to realize that Mom was who you loved with all your heart? Who you knew you wanted to be with for the rest of your life? Surely it was less than two days," he reasoned.

Damijan walked over and lightly set a hand on Gabriel's shoulder to look over at his mate's father. "I'm sorry if it may seem odd to you, sir...If Gabriel so wants though, I'm sure we could visit you," he offered.

Gabby smiled, resting a hand on top of Dami's. He looked up at his father and nodded. "Yes! We'll visit! Lots! Promise!" He gave his father his best puppy-dog look, though he didn't know why, he was going to go with Dami, no matter what.
He looked over at his sister to see them pouting at him. He smiled weakly and went to hug them. "I'll be alright. I've got Dami to protect me!" He grinned widely, his sisters given him weak smiles in return.
"You promise to visit?... Lots?" Allison asked quietly. Gabby nodded his head furiously.
"I couldn't live without Dami, but I don't think I could live without you guys, either."

Dami looked over at Jixin with somewhat of a nervous smile. He hadn't realized it until after he had said it, but...What would they tell the Human family if, or better yet, when they had kids?
Not to mention that they couldn't really visit within whatever five months Gabriel was pregnant. Hm...Perhaps they could tell the family they adopted? ...And the kids looked exactly like them by pure coincedence?
Ah well. He'd figure it out later.

Gabby hugged his sisters, dad,... and, quite hesitantly, his mom before rushing back upstairs to get his backpack. He tugged on a jacket before swinging the bag onto one shoulder. Once he was back downstairs he leaned into Dami. "Can we have lunch with Mandy and Xander? And then we can leave right after that?"

Jixin nodded and ruffled the smaller boy's hair. "'Course we can. I said we'd leave after lunch. I'm starved and I heard that Ea-" He paused when Damijan elbowed him and changed his answer. "Erm...Food from here is pretty good," he corrected.
Damijan smiled slightly and ruffled his mate's hair. "Okay. Let's go then," he said. "Where can we meet them?"

Gabby shrugged before running to find a phone to call his friends. Once he came back with the information, the three left for the pink-haired boy's favorite cafe on the other side of the small town.
