Rana ordered, still bristling, scooting closer to Annon. He wrapped an arm around him. "The nerve of some people, mau. Acting like kittens, mau. If I ruled the world, mau..." He muttered evil things in his kitten-language under his breath.

Annon groaned, allowing his forehead to once more drop onto the table, muttering dark words of his own. Sighing in defeat he glanced up and gave Rana a wry smile. “Violence is not the right way to do anything. Neither is wanting to run the world.” He sighed again, shaking his head. “And I would have appreciated if you had asked me what I liked before ordering.” He heaved one more deep sigh before exchanging a wry smile with Lynx and looking out the window.

Annon rolled his eyes, exchanging glances with Lynx. He rested his head on the palm of his hand, giving Rana a shy smile. "I'll give it a try." He agreed softly.

Lynx was snickering madly, ignoring Rana's glare. "You're such a kitten, Mau," he laughed.
"I just want to keep my mate happy," Rana muttered, trying to cuddle the other male. "And keep him away from evil, evil other men like Diel."

Annon eyes the food warily poking at the fun coloured objects on his plate. " Well it certainly is... colourful." He agreed before taking a bite, keeping a straight face all the while he did so.

The food was very savoury and tasted quite different from earth food, except for the blue sauce, that tasted vaguely like a tomato sauce that had many herbs in it. "Colourful is good," Rana said sagely, digging in to his own meal.

Annon pulled a face, not too sure as he was unused to the different flavour but ate without a complaint. Firswt rule of dimplomacy, never complain, especially when in a strange land. He watched Rana eat before glancing at Rana's cousin once more, wondering about the whole pregnancy thing but keen to keep well off the subject

The prgnant zercan was being vdery selective about his food, only eating certain things and making sure to eat a lot. His mate was cooing over him and he was preening under the attention. A few people came up to offer their well wishes. Rana was looking wistful.
