Lakin shifted in his seat uncomfortably. That was embarrassing. At least everyone, minus Orange, seemed to think it was funny. That didn't really make him feel better though. He hated that he lost control of his powers so easily. It was sad.
"Sorry," he told the Humanoid hesitantly. He only got a huff in return, though. He sighed and glanced over at Manni who was talking to Ongi.

Manni finished ordering for everyone then clicked Ongi into sleep mode. He turned to find Lakin looking at him. He smiled a bit and gave him a quick kiss. "I got you pancakes. Another genius invention of Earth," he chuckled lightly.

"Pan...cakes?" Lakin asked curiously. He couldn't help thinking of little cake shaped pans being eaten by Earthlings. He laughed quietly. "What are Pan Cakes?" he asked Manni curiously.

Manni laughed. "No, No. It's one word. Pancakes. It's these round, flat pieces of somekind of sweet bread that's fried and eaten with syrup. It's really yummy. You'll like it, I promise!"

"If you say so," Lakin grinned. He gave Manni a peck on the mouth the quickly turned into a more heated kiss. His hand caressed the boy's cheek gently while bringing him closer. When he heard quiet snickers around them he quickly pulled away though, blushing. "Sorry," he muttered to his mate quietly.

Manni really wished his friends hadn't interrupted them. He smiled to himself as he slowly ran his fingers over his lips. They tingled. He glanced at Lakin's bright red face and leaned against his side, resting his head on his shoulder with a comfy sigh. "That was nice," he whispered so only his mate could hear.

Lakin smiled and wrapped his arm around Manni's waist, resting his head on the other's. At least his little mate didn't feel embarrassed. He sighed, content with just being close. The green fae from before, Vy, walked up a few moments later.

Manni sat up from his comfortable position and smiled sweetly at Vy. "H-hey Vy." Vy playfully galred at him.
"You little... You did it again. If you want food, you can order through the line like everyone else!"
Manni pouted. "But, I can't remember five different orders for that long! Have you SEEN the line? It's a million miles long!" Vy rolled his eyes and set down their food. "And besides. You always make the food anyway. Why let it go to waste?" Manni smiled nicely and took his bowl of food, while waiting expecting for Lakin to take a bite of his meal.

Lakin poked the syrup covered golden food cautiously with his fork, glancing at Manni's expectant face. He cut off a small peice and placed it into his mouth slowly. "Hmm," he muttered, chewing it slowly. He swallowed then looked at his mate seriously.
"I..." he paused for affect. It was hard to keep a straight face, looking at Manni's curious look. "...like it!" he said happily. Then he proceeded to eat the fluffy, syrupy pancakes.

Manni clapped once. "See? I told you! And, once we go to Earth, I'll have someone make Scrabbled eggs! Vy has yet to master such a feat," he stated giddily ((once again, I'm making up words -_-)). He dug into his fruit quickly, trying hard not to get anything on his clothes. That happened to him a lot, he just couldn't seem to keep his clothes free of stains.
"Hey," Manni started after he had successfully finished his food without incident, "do you want to help me with Mesk this afternoon? I think I might start soon, it takes for forever."
Orange shook his head. "If you didn't want the 'check-ups' to take so long then you shouldn't have made him so complex!" Manni pouted at him.
"But what's the fun in that?!"

Lakin finished the last bit of his pancakes. "I'd love to," he told Manni, licking a bit of the syrup off his fingers. "Is Mesk anything like Ongi?" he asked curiously.

"Noooop," Manni replied, glad that he would have company, "Thank goodness. Mesk is very calm and reserved, I guess you could say. I modeled him after my big brothers." The Mentisquarian waved to his friends before pulling Lakin up with him and moving back towards the room to get his things.

Lakin laughed quietly when Manni led him out into the hall. His arm snaked around the Humanoid's waist and he cuddled up against him. "Mmm," he mumbled when they walked into Manni's room and planted a kiss on his forehead. "Where to go to check up on Mesk?" he asked curiously.

"The bridge!" Manni happily replied, wriggling out of his mate's grasp to search for his bag of tools. "You'll get to meet Captain properly. He's like my second father, he's really nice." He stood triumphantly with a brown bag in hand. "Ah-ha! Found it!" He slung the bag over his shoulder then stood in front of Lakin. Manni stared seriously at him for a second. "Hey... turn around, would'ya?" Lakin blinked at him, but did as he was told, only to have Manni jump on his back. "Hahaha! Piggy-back rides are so much fun! C'mon, let's go!"

Lakin was surprised when Manni suddenly jumped on his back and almost dropped him, but luckily he didn't. He was surprised at how light he was considering how much everyone said he ate. "Hahaha! Piggy-back rides are so much fun! C'mon, let's go!" Manni said excitedly.
"Hehe," Lakin laughed and carried his mate out into hall. "You'll have to tell me where to go, though. I'm not even sure what a bridge is."
