"Hmm." Kin muttered and licked his dry lips, glancing over at Teryl. He was glad to find that the person he was taking on a date was interested in his work. "I lost an important client." Kin explained, smiling to himself.
He felt good, knowing that Teryl wanted to know about his job. And for Kin it was good to speak about it. He had felt angry at himself for loosing Kean but speaking about it made it easier. "He was very important to our business..."
"But," Kin smiled, his mood shifting from angered to relaxed while he simply enjoyed the pressense of the body next to his. "Let us speak of other things or else I will bore you before the end of this evening."

Teryl shook his head and chuckled. "I don't mind listening. I mean...It sounds like you enjoy your work. It's always fun to listen to someone who likes about what they do because it helps you become more interested and they typically have some great facial expressions to observe," he said before he realized he was kind of rambling. He threaded his fingers together on his lap in a nervous habit before he looked up to say, "Sorry for babbling like that."
He tried to pick something else to say, but couldn't. He shrugged and asked, "Um...Well, what else do you want to talk about?" He glanced up to see Kin looking at him and he smiled back at the other. A thought struck him and he had to laugh.
"Heh...Do you ever find it funny that there is such a broad range of subjects one can pick from, but when they're going on a d...dinner with someone, that no one can think on anything to say? Well, I can't right now anyways...," he said, hoping that the silver-haired man didn't pick up on his slip up when he almost said 'date'.

Kin chuckled and let his eyes wander from the road to Teryl. A amused smile kept playing on his face as he watched the nervous blonde. "Hmm..." He mused and nodded his head. "That's true..."
"Maybe because... dinner's... make people nervous." Kin thought out loud and stopped in front of the well known restaurant. The moment he left the car someone was standing at his side, ready to take the keys. He smiled at the man and pushed them in the blonde's hand.
Kin quickly made his way to the other side of the car, holding the door open for Teryl. He smiled and leaned forwards against the door, watching Teryl with an amused glint in his jade cat-like eyes. "But then again, calling this a date wouldn't make you less nervous... would it?"

Teryl had started to get out of the car, but almost ended up falling when he heard Kin’s suggestion. “A date?” he managed to squeak out after he righted himself. He got out of the car and looked at the silver-haired young man curiously, blushing.
“But I thought…I thought….” Well, he had thought many things, but they were apparently wrong. He glanced down at his shoes before looking up at Kin with a wide smile. “Well, if you’re offering…Then yes, I would love for this to be a date,” he said, somewhat shyly.
He wasn’t sure why though. He typically didn’t go out on dates. When he did go out, he went with guys he had known for awhile prior to the date. He almost never acted shy or unsure of himself. He never felt so odd…The warmth within him growing with each second.
There was just something about Kin…Something that made him feel comfortable and like he belonged; yet at the same time, made him incredibly nervous and excitable. He knew that he acted foolish when it came to the other youth, although they had only known each other for not even a full day.
Though he knew it, the blonde wasn’t sure he really minded. He nodded in answer to his mixed up thoughts. He would just have to wait and see what happened, he figured as he smiled as Kin led him into the restaurant.

Kin took Teryl's arm, smiling to himself. Inside the restaurant they were greeted by a young man who kept glancing from Teryl to Kin and to Teryl again. Finally he turned to Kin and smiled brightly. "It is very good to see you again, Mr. Jinan."
Kin nodded, his smile completly gone as he looked at the young man with bored green eyes. He tightened his grip on Teryl's arm and waited for the man to show them their table. It was distant from the other's, leaving them in a private surrounding. Kin's usual place, since he did not want to be interupted by other guests from the restaurant while he was having his dinner.
"Sit." Kin muttered and pointed towards the wooden chair for Teryl, sitting down on the other side of the table himself.
The silver haired man know he shouldn't act so cold and distant all of a sudden but couldn't help himself, knowing that it was a sort of defense mechanism which kept him from caring to much what happened to him in public places.
"I'm sorry." He suddenly whispered, so only Teryl could hear. "I did not mean to be so cold..."

Teryl blinked at the sudden change, but then he smiled. "It's quite alright, but...Why do you do it if you don't mean too?" he asked as he unfolded his napkin and placed it on his lap.
He glanced up at Kin with a thoughtful look. Slowly his eyes grew very calculating and distant. He folded his arms in a bored manner and crossed them over his chest before sighing heavily. It was a sigh that perfectly conveyed boredom and said 'you're wasting my time'.
A moment passed and his features relaxed. The blonde smiled brightly and gestured to his face. "That was how you looked. You don't seem like that, really...So it must be some sort of act. Either that or this is the act...?" he thought outloud as he tapped a finger against his cheek.

Kin looked down at his hands and cleared his throat before looking at Teryl again. "I'm sorry..." He muttered and frowned to himself. "It just happens sometimes."
The silver haired young man sighed and smiled charmingly, showing a row of perfect pearl white straight teeth. "Hopefully we will be able to continue our date with no harm done."

Teryl nodded vigorously. "Of course," he said, smiling. He winked at Kin before picking up the menu and looking at it. His face became confused as he scanned the food items.
"...I don't think I've ever had any of these. What are they?" he asked, peering up at the older man. "Can you just order me something? Like whatever you get?"

Kin laughed, amused. He leaned over and pushed Teryl's menu down slightly. "They just use fancy words for average food." He whispered and caressed the blonde's cheek with his right hand.
"Sir, would you like to order?"
Kin leaned back and smiled up at the waiter. "Yes," He ordered two of his favorite dishes and then grinned when he heard the tanned man asking if he wished for his usuall wine. "Yes, please." He replied and watched the waiter leave before looking at Teryl again.
"I hope you do not feel to uncomfortable here..." Kin whispered and brushed his hand against Teryl's, smiling brightly.

Teryl turned his palm up and grabbed onto Kin's before smiling. "It's nice of you to be concerned, but no...I can adapt to nearly anywhere and the enviroment is pleasant here. I like places with friendly auras and the such."
He glanced around the resteraunt before turning back to look at his mate. He winked and lightly squeezed the silver haired man's hand before pulling it away to rest on the cheek Kin had earlier touched. "Just for future referances, you know," he added.

Kin smiled and opened his mouth to reply but his cellphone stopped him. Kin sighed and leaned back in his chair. "Sorry..." He muttered and picked up. "Kin Jinan speaking." He said, his voice emotionless and cold.
Kin frowned and played with his knife, watching Teryl. He felt guilty for being on the phone while they were having dinner. "Could we speak tomorrow, I do not have time at the moment..."
The silver haired man tapped his fingers on the table, his anger rising. "We will talk about this tomorrow..." He said again and cleared his throat. "Goodbye."
When he pushed the phone back into the pocket of his coat he sighed and rubbed his temples. "I'm sorry..." He muttered and looked up at Teryl again. "Promise: No more phone calls."
Kin started laughing, thinking to himself. "I've given you a very bad impression of myself, first I am an asshole and then a workaholic..."

Teryl quirked up his lips and shook his head. "No. Not a bad impression at all," he said as he opened his napkin and placed it on his lap. He picked up his glass and took a short sip before glancing at Kin.
"You didn't really come off as an asshole just now. It was just that you seemed different...And it's not that you're a workaholic, just busy. I can sometimes be the same way, too. It was very kind of you not to just run off to talk to someone else though," he said before shyly adding, "Since this is a date and all..."
He took another drink of water and licked his lips to help moisten them. "Besides the first impression I had of you was the gorgeous man having lunch in the cafe with his friend."

Kin smiled and chuckled, leaning back in his seat. He looked up when they served their food. He kept his eyes on Teryl, watching the boy while he ate, wondering what Teryl thought of it.
For a second Kin found his mind wondering to his father's idea and wondered what his father would think of Teryl. He really would like to get to know the blonde better and maybe his father would agree with this, cutting him some slack in meeting every match his father had for him.
Kin smiled to himself, watching the blonde. Teryl was certainly beautiful and seemed like a nice enough person. And he didn't care for Kin's status as a Jinan. Kin suddenly frowned when he noticed a familiar person in the corner of his eye and cleared his throat, turning his head.
A frustrated sigh left his lips as he noticed that it was his personal 'stalker' from one of the well known tabloids in the city. "Great..." He muttered and glanced at Teryl, deciding he wouldn't let the other know so that one of them could at least enjoy their dinner.

Teryl brought the fork in his hand back up to his lips and glanced up to Kin. He noticed that the other looked frustrated by something...He couldn't tell what though. He only hoped that it wasn't him.
He took a bite of the food that the older boy had ordered and smiled. It was really good. Actually, it reminded him a bit of Zikne's cooking. He briefly wondered if his pseudo-dad had gotten the recipe based off of the food here.
The blonde peered up at his date again and saw Kin was watching him. Self-consciously, he scratched at his left shoulder before offering a smile back up to the other. "So...What's your favorite color?" he asked. They had to start with the small-talk and getting-to-know-each-other somewhere, didn't they? Besides, he hated lulls in conversations.

Kin frowned and took a bite of his food. "My favorite color...?" He whispered after swallowing his food. He thought for a while and felt rather stupid that such a simple silly question made him wonder. He had actually never thought of a favorite color, or things like that. His father found that it were matters to waste time on, and in a Jinan's book time meant money.
"Well..., I think I prefer turquoise." He decided eventually after thinking for a couple of minutes. "If I am honest...I never really thought about it." He blushed and leaned down taking another bite of his food, strands of hair falling into his face, covering his crimson cheeks which were usually pale.
