Large heavy strides could be heard in the halls of the large Jinan Inc. building announcing the presence of Vahan Jinan’s son, Kin. He was addressed by the workers and they bid him a good morning with a pleasant smile. Kin returned their honest smiles with fake ones as he passed, holding his cell phone to his left ear. His head was slightly titled to the side, strands of silver hair falling into his face and partly covering his cat-like green eyes.
He stopped in front of the large white elevator doors and pushed the ‘up’ button. Kin watched the large numbers above the doors change until they reached the zero. He heard a familiar beep and watched as the door slid open. Kin stepped inside and watched himself in the mirrors in the back of the elevator. He let a sigh of relief leave his pink lips when he finally heard a voice on the other side of the line.
”Kain and Jozo Inc., how can I help you?”
“This is Kin Jinan, I would like to speak with Mr. Jozo.” Kin replied with a calm and deep voice. He turned around, resting himself against the back of the elevator. He felt the cold mirror against his shoulders and back.
”Ah Mr. Jinan, Mr. Jozo was waiting for your call, I will put you through.”
Kin waited in silence, a soft tune playing on the other side of the line. He played with his tie, twirling it around between his pale long fingers. When the elevator doors slid open he was greeted by the stern face of his best friend, Yevan.
Kin smiled and stepped out of the elevator. He wrapped his right arm around Yevan’s neck, and stood on his toes to kiss Yevan’s cheek, a friendly gesture that the two shared as a greeting. “Hey Yev.” He whispered and then he heard the familiar voice of Lenn Jozo. “Lenn!” He breathed and stepped away from Yevan, walking towards his office. “Is the deal still on?”
After a couple of hours spending on the phone, calling several important people Kin could finally find the time to squeeze a lunch into his agenda. Now he was walking down one of the busiest streets in Kerplastin with Yevan at his side.
Kin stopped in front of a small restaurant and opened the door, waiting for Yevan to step inside before he followed himself. He chuckled when he heard Yevan speak of another potential mate that Kin’s father had lined up but also couldn’t help but feel tired and saddened by the fact that his father would never quit.
“So, who is it this time?” Kin asked and sat down close to the window. He listened to Yevan’s voice, watching the people outside passing by with a saddened smile.

"Okay, okay...What about this one?" The blonde pedestrian asked his friend before he took on a swagger and looped an arm around the other's shoulders. The redhead promptly started laughing and shoved him off. The boy fell to the ground in a slump causing the surrounding people to stare at them funny as they side-stepped the younger's small body.
"Teryl, you idiot!"
The boy, Teryl, stood up suddenly and smiled. "I know," he said as he dusted himself off. "But it was a good impression of the one guy we saw, wasn't it?"
The redhead beside him nodded, watching his friend trying to pick the garbage off of him. The amusement was quite obvious in his purple eyes as he pointed to a piece of gum stuck on Teryl's pants. "Yes, but I'd recommend working on that one in a cleaner area."
Teryl scoffed. "Nonsense, Klein. It wouldn't be as realistic if I did that. I tell you, I'll be a star on day!" He gestured wildly to articulate his point as they turned a corner. "Why...I'll be the one to..."
He trailed off as he glanced into a random window and gasped. Klein just looked at him as if he were stupid before following when Teryl quickly ducked around the building's corner, just out of view from the restaurant's patrons.
Patiently, the redhead tapped his foot as he raised an eyebrow in question. Teryl held up a finger and glanced around the corner again before looking back with a small blush.
"...Well?"
The blonde teen grinned and giggled. "There's a really cute guy in there. Look! He's the one sitting at the table next to the wall." Klein sighed in exasperation and did as his friend commanded.
"Which one?" he asked.
"On the right. Isn't he the cutest? Or perhaps 'handsome' would be a better word...'Hot'? Hmm...Well, he's perfect in any case." Teryl tapped a finger against his finger as he tried to think of the right word to describe the silver-haired man sitting inside.
Klein rolled his eyes at the blonde's pondering. "Not my type...Hey, Let's go in! Maybe you can even talk to him," he said, a small wicked glint shining in his eyes. He grabbed the blonde's hand and started to pull him around the corner towards the shop's door, despite Teryl's protests.

Kin sighed and shook his head slowly, he pushed his hands into his hair and let his head hang. Yevan’s words didn’t quit reach him anymore. He felt tired and weary, now knowing that he would have to meet the young Zercan boy Yevan was talking about that night.
Yevan watched his friend and placed his hands over Kin’s, trying to comfort the younger man. When Kin looked up at him with tired emerald eyes he felt his heart flutter. “Don’t worry, Kin.”
Kin was oblivious and smiled, thinking that Yevan was only being a good friend to him. “ I won’t...” He muttered and then let his hands fall to the table. He let out a frustrated moan and leaned back in his chair. “Will you come tonight?”
Yevan shook his head. “No, have to work late.”
The silver haired man sighed and took his coffee in his hands. He wrapped his long fingers around the cup and brought it to his lips, playing with it a little before he took a sip and placed it back in front of him on the table. “I won-“ Kin was interrupted by the familiar ring of Yevan’s cell phone and watched Yevan as he took the phone and held it to his ear. Kin listened in silence while he looked around the restaurant, he rested his eyes on two young men who were sitting near them, talking to each other in hushed voices.

"I don't wanna be here, Klein!" Teryl whispered angrily at his best friend who simply smirked at him. He glanced nervously over at the silver haired man and his companion to make sure they were still occupied. He sighed in relief as he noticed the two were still in the midst of conversation.
The redhead across from him actually laughed at his friend's jumpiness. "Fine..but I'm hungry. I want to get some food...and maybe tea. Today is a somewhat chilly day, after all."
At the mention of food and drink, the blonde actor perked up and smiled. "Really? Are you paying though?" he asked suspiciously. He didn't want to stay if he actually had to pay. So what if he was cheap? He was saving up for a deluxe theatre make-up set.
Klein laughed and nodded. "I will...if you say one thing to that man," he said, pointing a thumb over at two people across from them. "I'll even buy you a dessert. Even if it is expensive."
The little hybrid licked his lips hungrily. He always did like dessert..."What do I have to say?" he asked, glancing back over at the group and blushed when he was caught looking by the man. He quickly averted his gaze back towards his friend.
"You have to...Hm. Just go up and tell him that you think he's cute or ask him a question or something like that. I don't care," the redhead chuckled softly. "It'll be fine. You'll probably never see him again."
Teryl sighed and ran a hand through his blonde hair. It was true...He couldn't help the small feeling inside him that wished it wouldn't be so, and that he'd learn more about the man and...Looking from the corner of his eye, he could tell the silver haired one was still watching them. Slowly, he nodded to Klein as he turned towards the other table.
"Um, hi...," he said, his voice volume rising from what his conversation with his best friend had been. He looked specifically at the young man he had been watching and smiled lightly. "I just wanted...to, um...What's the time?" the blonde asked, berating himself on such a stupid question. He was an actor after all! Whatever happened to all his confidence?!

Kin frowned when one of the two boys got up and started walking towards them. He gave Yevan a quick glance and noticed that the other was still talking. Kin no longer heard the words Yevan was speaking to him and focused on the blonde youth which stopped next to their table.
“Um, hi...”
Kin kept silent and watched the blonde, noticing that Yevan suddenly stopped speaking. “I just wanted...to, um...what’s the time?”
The silver haired young man couldn’t help but chuckle and then looked down at his watch. It had been a present from his father, Arsen, almost two years ago. He brushed a single finger over the glass and then looked up at the blonde again, smiling. “Almost one.” He answered.
“Damn, I have to go!” Yevan breathed and pushed himself up. He leaned over the table and pressed his lips to Kin’s cheek, kissing the smaller one goodbye. “Sorry, Kin.”
“It’s fine.” Kin replied and waved him goodbye. When Yevan was out of the door he looked up at the blonde again and smiled. “Is there something else you wish to know?” He asked, showing a row of straight white teeth as he smiled at the other one.

Teryl smiled lightly. Wow, the other was much more perfect up close! He felt a flutter in his stomach and nodded slowly in answer to the other's question. Before he knew what the was doing, he started to speak. "Well, now that your...friend...has left, would you like to come and join us? I originally just came to, um, ask the time...but...," he trailed off to think of how to say what he was thinking.
He grinned widely when it came to him. Bouncing lightly from foot to foot, he said, "I mean, we wouldn't want you to get lonely now, would we? It's always kinda depressing when your lunch date has to leave and all that."
The blonde frowned a small bit and tapped a finger to his chin. He studied the silver haired man for a few minutes before he spoke again. "No offense, but you already look depressed as is. Not that it's any of my business, of course. I'm just an observer."
He pointed over to where Klein was sitting and waved back once the redhead had waved to him. "That guy over there will even pay for whatever you order if you come sit with us. Well...he doesn't know that yet, but it's my birthday. He'll have to if I ask." A cheeky smile crossed his face as he glanced back over at Klein.

Kin laughed softly, slightly taken a back by the boy’s question to join him and his friend. The question came abrupt just as the blonde’s statement: “You already look depressed as it is.”
The silver haired man tucked a strand of his hair behind his ear and chuckled to himself when he heard the blonde speak of money. He definitely didn’t need anyone to pay for him, he had enough money to take care of himself. Kin looked at his watch once again and knew that he had another half an hour until he had a meeting at Jinan Inc.
Kin looked up again when he heard the blonde mention his own birthday. He pushed himself up, resting his thin hands on the table. “Very well.” He breathed and straightened his grey jacket. He held out his hand and took the boy’s. “Happy Birthday.” Kin smiled.
Then he turned to grab his black leather suitcase and long wool coat. When he turned to look at the boy he cleared his throat and smiled. “Lead the way.”

Teryl grinned widely as he felt the warmth of the silver haired man’s hand within his own. He nodded and said, “Right this way,” as he pulled the other to the table. When they got there, he let go of the man’s hand and pulled out a seat for him before sitting down himself. Klein raised an eyebrow at him and openly smirked at his best friend.
“Don’t even look at me like that, Klein. I know what you’re going to say…Just don’t,” the blonde scowled before looking over at his guest with a small smile. “Um, sorry. This is Klein and my name is Teryl.”
Glancing back at the redhead, he said, “Klein, this is…um,…my birthday guest.”
The older laughed loudly at this. “You didn’t even ask him his name? You really are an idiot sometimes. You know that, right…?”
Teryl pouted. “Shuddup. I know it, but I wouldn’t be the me you know and love if I was any different.” He smiled as Klein nodded grudgingly. He turned back to the man beside him. “Sorry I forgot to ask, but…what’s your name? It gets kind of hard to just go on calling you ‘my birthday guest.’”

Kin was amused when he saw the two friends arguing in a friendly manner. He crossed his arms and watched them with a smile on his face, thinking about his younger brothers who acted much the same as Klein and Teryl when they were together.
When Kin heard Teryl’s comment on Klein loving him he looked up and watched Teryl with a hint of confusion. His eyes shifted to Klein and he watched the other for a while. He thought that they two were friends but he could easily been mistaken, maybe they were more then that.
The silver haired man parted his lips and wetted them, watching Klein and Teryl until the blonde turned towards him. His lips formed a amused smile as he answered the smaller one. “My name is Kin.” He replied, he did not use his last name on purpose. Most people, even those in the lower classes knew his father, Vahan Jinan and he didn’t want to raise questions.

Teryl smiled and shook Kin's hand. "Well then...It's a pleasure to meet you!" Klein nodded in agreement before passing a menu to each of them.
"Here, Kin. Order. It's only fair that I pay for you as well since it was because of Teryl that you're over here. Besides, I know he'd probably rope me in to paying no matter what," he said.
The blonde grinned. "I would. You know I deserve it anyway, after I...did what you asked me to."
Klein laughed lightly. "Not like you minded. Anyways, order! Both of you!"
Teryl threw a side-long glance at the silver haired man sitting next to him. No, it's not like he minded...He blushed lightly and looked down at his menu.
"So, Kin...I hope that it wasn't my fault your...uh, boyfriend... left. I mean, when I came over to your table. He seemed to leave in quite a hurry..."

Kin frowned looking over the menu, he frowned when he saw the prices. He had never seen them before, when he lunched there everything was immediately placed on the bill, which was then paid once a year. “Um...” He muttered and looked up at them. “I don’t mind paying for myself...honestly.” He tried and bit his lower lip. He placed a finger underneath the menu he usually had and found that only that was all ready the prize of two other menu’s together.
Kin looked up when he heard Teryl’s voice. He raised an eyebrow when the blonde asked him about Yevan. “Oh,” He chuckled and shook his head. “No, Yevan is just a busy person.” Kin smiled. “And he is my friend, actually.”
The silver haired man looked up when he heard a high pitched voice calling his name which made him cringe.
“Mr. Jinan, how wonderful to see you again.”
Kin smiled at the young woman who was looking at him with large eyes. “Yes...” He answered shortly. A visible sneer crossed his face and he didn’t dare to look at either Klein or Teryl.
“Would you like the Stella Maris menu again?” She asked and bounced a little on her feet, happy to see Kin Jinan return.
Kin frowned and shook his head. “Oh, no...I’d like this.” The silver haired man said and pointed towards a menu on the cart.
The girl frowned. “Oh, all right.” She looked at him and then shrugged. “What would you like?” She asked then, turning to Teryl and Klein.

Teryl grinned happily. “Yes, please! Okay, I would like one house special, a cup of…I know what it’s called…Um…Oh, right! A cup of green mint tea, and a triple chocolate decadence fudge cake thingy.” He turned to ask Klein or Kin what they wanted, but stopped when he noticed the funny look the redhead was sending at his guest. “…Klein?”
The older boy gapped for a few more minutes before pointing a finger at the silver-haired man. “You’re Kin Jinan?!” he asked, awe and shock clear in his voice.
The blonde glanced between the two, obviously missing something. “Well…if his first name is Kin and his last name is Jinan, then yes. It is pretty safe to assume that he is indeed Kin Jinan. What’s the big deal?”
“What do you mean ‘what’s the big deal’? He’s a Jinan!”
“…I don’t follow,” the little hybrid said slowly. There was something he was missing here. He didn’t know what though, and he hated being left out. “Guys?”
Klein looked at his best friend with a raised eyebrow. “If you paid attention to the news more…” He relented at the pleading face from the younger. “Fine. He’s basically the heir to a major business company. Well, actually it’s more then just one I think…”
Teryl looked at Kin pityingly. “Aw…Poor you…That must be such a bore. Doing all those meeting things and talking on the phone to mean people and keeping track of numbers and all that…”
“I can’t believe I almost paid for a guy who’s that loaded,” the redhead piped up from his spot. The birthday boy would have none of this though; he picked up his menu and smacked it across his best friend’s head. The other looked at him with wide blinking eyes.
“None of that now, Klein,” he said as he put his menu back on the table. “You still are paying. You can’t make a guest pay, after all. Now, if you two would just order so this kindly waiting lady can be on her way…” He smiled sweetly at them all as he tucked a stray strand of hair behind his ear.
“Remember: the quicker lunch is over, the quicker dessert can begin!” His statement was punctuated by the licking of his lips. The blonde had one major sweet tooth, and he thanked all of Mentsiquar every night that he always managed to work it off…or else he would be the size of a small house.

Kin cleared his throat and looked at his watch. “Actually...,” He muttered and looked at Teryl. “I really need to leave, I have a meeting in half an hour.”
The silver haired man felt rather uncomfortable, especially when he had heard Klein talking about him. It made him shift in his chair, hearing other’s speaking of him always made him nervous.
Kin tucked a strand of silver behind his ear and pushed himself up, picking up his coat. He pulled it on and buttoned it. “I am very sorry.” He tried and held out his hand for Teryl to take. “It was really nice to meet you, and your friend.” He decided for himself, and found that he truly meant it. “Goodbye...”

Teryl stood to take Kin's hand and shook it slowly. "No...it's me who should be sorry...I just came over and bothered you. I really am sorry...I just...," he trailed off as he let his hand go limp and fall to his side.
"Well, you best get going to your meeting, eh? Sorry if we kept you too long," he said, his smile forced but still believable unless one looked very close. Dear heavens, he loved his acting skills..."Yeah, well...goodbye."
He sat back in his chair and closed his eyes, certain the other had left. He wasn't sure why it bothered him so much that the other was leaving, but it did. He supposed he was just...lonely, maybe...Yeah.
Klein sighed and buried his head into his hand's as well. He really had messed it up for his friend. He realized that he had acted irrational and stupid and...Hindsight was good and all, but really useless when it came down to it.

Kin couldn’t help but feel bad about leaving them like that. He even doubted that Teryl and Klein believed that he truly had a meeting. And Teryl’s voice made his stomach turn and feel bad. A sigh left Kin’s lips and he couldn’t keep his thoughts of the blonde boy.
The moment Kin found himself on the outside the restaurant he frowned and stepped inside again, walking directly towards the two boys. He stopped next to Teryl and felt around in his pocket. He took a small grey business card between his pale fingers and rubbed his thumb over the perfect straight black letters.
Kin smirked and placed it on the table in front of Teryl. “Call me later,” Kin started and placed his hand back in his pocket, holding his suitcase in the other. “For dinner.” He continued then.
“I really need to go...” The silver haired man decided and started leaving again. “Call...” He muttered and then left the restaurant for the second time.
