Kerplastin, Flitt, Open thread

[Kanti]

Kanti placed the bowls in the washing machine and looked at Flitt, "Well, you did help me. And um it just felt right."

Kanti opened a few drawers not really looking for anything but just avoidin Flitt while he thought about the boy's question. Why had he brought Flitt with him? It seemed something inside him was extremly against him leaving Flitt behind.

[Flitt]

Flitt was still confused. He sat on the bed, not sure what to do now. He had no real skills since for him thieving, shifting and an aptitude for bedroom activities didn't count and he had no idea what he was doing with Kanti. He looked around, searching for something to alleviate his boredom.

[Kanti]

Kanti realized that Flitt was bored, wait, extremly bored. "Hey Flitt you want to play a fun game?"

The pale boy nodded slowly, and Kanti grinned, "Jol, put the ship in 'shooting balls' mode."

"Yes sir..." Jol didn't seem at all thrilled.

Kasnti took out two plastic guns, and sta beside Flitt smilling, "This is fun, you have to shoot the balls you see. Here put these on." He handed Flitt some glasses, teh ship's ligt went dim, and through the glasses floating balls could be seen. But they moved from one place to another.

Some had faces of animals or mocking faces.

[Flitt]

Flitt wasn't sure if he liked this game at all. The sounds his gun made scared him. He would much, much rathr hide from the faces that terrified him. Finally, he shifted into a mouse in fear, the glasses falling off and he scampered under the bed to hide from them.

[Kanti]

Kanti instantly told Jol to stop. "Great sir, now you've done it."

Kanti didn't snap at Jol's remark and began to feel extremly bad. "Jol please speed up. Lets see if we can gain time without any rock showers."

"Flitt, please come out. You can't hide forever and the game is off." kanti sat on the floor leaning to see Flitt under the bed, "I just wanted you to do something fun, now that i realize it isn't, how abut you tell me what you want to do?" he waited an answer from the boy.

[Flitt]

Flitt crawled out from under the bed, shifting back. "Sorry. Shootin' things scare me," he murmured. "I dunno what ta do. No one ever asked b'fore." He thought a bit. "Explain the ship ta me."

[Kanti]

"Oh Jol? Wel he's a smart computer, and he can decide things by himself. " Jol waved at Flitt, Kanti looked around trying to get some inspiration, "And the ship is a small one as you can see, there's only small rooms. It moves with fuel and magnetic energy."

Kanti kept on talkig about how the ship worked, he felt relaxed sitting by the boy, and teh fact that the kid was listening. There was a wierd feeling inside him, his panther instincs were carving for something. He couldn't understant but decided to push them aside for a bit.

[Flitt]

Flitt listened. Despite the fact that he had absolutely no formal education and only understood about half of what Kanti said, he was proud for understanding some of it. He asked intelligent questions and quite a few stupid ones, trying to figure out exactly how everything worked. "So Jol's like a person 'oo's body's a ship," he summerised.

[Kanti]

"yes! you got it!" Kanti ruffled Flitts hair amused by the soft strands between his fingers. He moved away checking how long it would take to get to zerca, it was just a few hours away.

he turned to Flitt, "I think you can sleep a bit, so when we get there you won't be too tired." Kanti sat down on the pilot seat and began to get hit buttons, "Jol get Shin for me."

Jol nodded and a Zercan appeared on the screen. "hey kanti, you're pretty late, i was expecting your call two hours ago..."

[Flitt]

Flitt stayed out of sight of the screen. He curled up in a corner of the bed, playing invisible as he listened to the conversation. There was an angry, tight feeling in his stomach that he didn't quite understand when he heard Kanti talking to someone else. It was stupid, he knew, but, for the first time in his life, he wanted Kanti to pay attention to him and only him. It scared him, this feeling. After a lifetime of not wanting to be noticed and trying to be invisible, he wasn't sure why he'd want someone to see him.

[Kanti]

"So may i know why you are so late? Please tell me you got everything we needed to buy." The Zercan on the creen had darker hair than Kanti. Shin was Kanti's older brother.

Kanti sighed, "Yes! It's was all sent yesterday. Should get to Zerca before i do. And i'm late because i found something interesting."

"Oh? May i know what?" Shin asked more interested in thsi part of teh conversation.

"No." kanti snapped at his brother.

"A boy." Jol's voice said.

Shin smirked, "A mate maybe?"

"He's not my mate! i'm just helping him." Kanti felt bad, he actually like dthe boy. And din't know if what he was saying wa sreal, could it be that Flitt was his mate?

"Uhu..." Shin kept on smirking at his brotehrs confused face, "Well anyway, let me see your mate. I am your brother, therefore i have the right to meeet him."

Kanti sighed knowing he would get nowhere with Shin pestering, "Flitt i want you to meet someone..."

[Flitt]

Flitt didn't understand the feeling of hurt that hit him in the gut when Kanti denied that they were mates. Which was stupid. Because they weren't. At least the zercan on the screen had said that he was Kanti's brother. That felt better, at least. He got up, approching the screen sullenly.

[Kanti]

Shin saw the shy boy aproach the screen. "Aww man he's cute! You should feed him well Kanti, he looks a bit too thin."

"He's fine." Kanti growled at his brother.

"Now now Kanti no need to get angry." Shin scowled and turned to stare at Flitt smilling with bare fangs, "Flitt? I will take care of you when you visit me."

"I'll make sure he won't..." Kanti pulled Flitt close to him.

Shin laughed and waved at them, "Well bro, i gotto check some packages. Bye Flitt!"

[Flitt]

Flitt actually cringed away from the screen, hiding against Kanti. Kanti would protect him, right? He'd make sure that the other didn't hurt him. Suddenly, he found himself desperately wishing that Kanti would hold and comfort him. He relaxed a bit when the other held him close, cuddling against Kanti's chest.

[Kanti]

They finally reached Zerca, Kanti had smilled at the pale boy against his chest. He had to be carefull with Shin, the fact that Flitt was unclaimed bothered him too much.

"Now Flitt, i want you to be always near me ok? I don't want you to run off, because you don't know this planet." he smilled at the boy and moved some white-blonde strands from the boy's eyes.

"Maybe later we can buy you something to grab your hair, because your face is nice..." Kanti blushed at what he had said and coughed turning to look at Jol and give som efinal instructions.
