Kerplastin, Flitt, Open thread

[Flitt]

Flitt didn't fall asleep. He finally crept out form under the bed when he was sure Kanti was asleep. He tried to get out. It didn't work. Ok, maybe he'd pick the lock... Waaaaait. "Um, ship?" he asked, a bit nervous. "Where are we?"

[Kanti]

"Well kid, you can call me Jol, and we're in space, going to Zerca...thank the Shodan." Jol stared at the expression of he boy, "I guess you didn't think Kanti here was going to take you did you?"

[Flitt]

"I wanna go 'ome," the boy whimpered, pressed against the door. "'E's gonna 'urt me. I'm scared. I wanna go 'ome, I don' like it 'ere..."

[Kanti]

Jol felt sad for the boy, "Calm down, kid. He's a good guy, really. I've been with him for three years, he has never hit a boy and i doubt he every will. And he's no slave sellsman." He tried to reasure the boy. "He's just a harmless kitty." Jol grinned.

[Flitt]

"But 'e was gonna 'it me," the boy cried pitifully. "An' now I can't escape! T's a small ship an' there's nowhere ta go..."

[Kanti]

Jol sighed, what had this boy been through? "Hey, hey don't cry he won't hit you. I swear, he's just trying to be nice and maybe he felt very angry at the people that have hit you before."

Kanti woke up slowly feeling cranky for teh positionhe had been in. "Flitt? you're out?"

[Flitt]

Flitt was still crying. He looked up at Kanti in panic, edging back towards the bed.

[Kanti]

Kanti sighed in defeat, "Once we get to Zerca, you can go. I'm sorry for dragging you along." He moved in total sadness to a couch and grabbed a blanket before lying on teh couch, "You can sleep on my bed."

[Flitt]

Flitt curled up in the center of the bed, hiding under the covers. He watched kanti. "Ya don' 'ave ta take the couch," he murmured. "Ya c'n stay wit me. I don' mind. Jest don' 'urt me. Please."

[Kanti]

Kanti walked to the bed ad sat down, "I'll stay on this side ok? I own't do anything." He lay down smilling reasuringly at Flitt "Jol turn off the lights." Kanti watched at Flitt fell asleep, he had a huge urge to pat the boys head but decided not to scare him further and gently fell asleep himself.

[Flitt]

Flitt dozed, not completely relaxed. The slightest movement towards him would wake him up instantly. He finally did relax, however. Kanti seemed to have that effect on him. He woke up early, starving. He got up. "Ship?" he asked in a small voice. "Ship, where's the grub?"

[Kanti]

The dim lights of the ship turned on slightly, "Grub? Kid, there's some food in the cupboard." Jols voice said earily, the image of teh boy re-apeared, he was the small boy hesitate with the small kitchen, "I think i'll wake up Kanti..."

"I'm already awake, what's the problem?" KAnti rubbed his eyes looking at Flitt with half lids open.

"Food for the kid."

"His name is Flitt, Jol, get used to it." The Zercan yawned and streched walking toward the small kitchen, blinking at the bright lights. He turned to see Flitt standing in teh middle of teh ship, "What do you want for breakfast?"

[Flitt]

"Whatever ya got. I ain't picky," Flitt answered, still staying out of reach. He took the proffered bowl of whatever it was, gulping it down. He wasn't sure what he had just eaten, never having seen it before, but it was delicious. "C'n I 'ave some more?" he asked, holding out his empty bowl, willing to get closer now.

[Kanti]

kanti smilled at the Flitt who had white rims arund his lips from the milk and the cereal.

"As much as you want." Kanti filled up the bowl againand sat at a small table, "you can sit too..." he poured milk and cereal to his own bowl.

"How much longer till we get to Zerca?" Kanti stared at the boy as he ate his bowl quickly again and asked for more.

"Just 12 hours. Shortest route."

[Flitt]

Flitt was overjoyed by the quantity and taste of the food. He had never had anythign so good. He made sounds of delight, finishing five bowls before declaring that he had had enough. He then went to sit on the bed, watching Kanti. "Why'd ya bring me along?" he asked, finally. "Ya didn' 'ave ta. An' I'm not the only stray down there."
