Demoiselle looked around the bussling planet curiously. He'd hear about Zerca and their protective cat-like people. This planet wasn't much different from his own, but he realized that he had no one to show him around. .Things would've been different if he'd just sucked up his pride and asked his father to allow him to go on a trip with him, then he'd been surrounded by at least a small group of people he sorta knew, but the experience was worth the discomfort and Demoiselle figured he could always find a giude to give him a tour of the place. You see Demoiselle had snuck away from his father on a departing airship the last second and his father probably was just now figuring out he was missing. Demoiselle quickly walked away from the ship having no idea where he was going, but he needed to get away from the ship incase someone noticed he wasn't a paying passengar and he was sent back. Demoiselle notcied a building where a lot of people were going and not knowing any better he went in. "I should at least be able to find someone in here," muttered Demoiselle to himself as he pushed past large group of zercans only to find out that he was in a bar, "well, this probably isn't the best place to look for a travel guide, but hey I have all the time in the world better enjoy it." Demoiselle watching all the people moving about sat down at a bar stool glancing around and seeing if he could find a sober man who was willing to be of help.

A young boy with brilliant emerald eyes peered out of the darkness from his hiding place onboard the transport shuttle. He watched silently as the cargo bay doors opened and a couple older men jumped with almost a feline grace in order to get the luggage the was onboard for the passengers. Quietly the boy crept along from behind the large crates. The boy chuckles silently as he jumps down from the open doors, looks around and realizes he made this far without any problem. He had made it to... where was he?
Oh, yeah...this was Zerca wasn't it? This was the first time Terry had been here. It was first time the young merboy had been anywhere off his own planet. The fair youth skipped happily along the crowded street, dodging past the Zercan cat men walking hand in hand, some with mates, others with tiny energetic kits.
Soon Terry licked his dry lips. He was really thirsty. He took the flask at his side and drained the remaining drops of the water into his mouth. The boy moaned sadly. Emerald eyes looked around and spotted a bar nearby. Without giving it a second thought, the merboy entered the tavern, and stood in the doorway for a long moment thinking. He didn't know what to do! "Now, who should I ask to get some water around here?"

"You're not going to get much service that way," warned Demoiselle looking at the merboy, he was beautiful in a cute fuzzy way and he especially didn't think he'd find someone from Parinenai here, "there are too many people and the service isn't that great. You wouldn't happen to know your way around here would you? I've been looking for someone to show me around for awhile now, but no one seems sober enough to help." Demoiselle looked at the merboy questioningly and hoped that he had no knowledge of who eaxctly he was. He didn't need word getting back to his father already.

Terry turned around on his heel to the voice that had earlier startled him. The green haired youth smiled brightly, but as his eyes opened to catch a glimpse of his new companion, his whole usually bright expression faltered. This man was a Dragonis. Terry remembered his dad telling him to always stay away from those creatures, because one was the cause Terry's mama's death. A tear sprouted from his green green eyes, to which his jade hand quickly wiped it away.
Terry shook his head, he shouldn't be thinking about his papa now; it would make him want to go home sooner and he wanted to enjoy this adventure. The boy soon returned a smile to his face. "Actually, I just arrived here! And...I just wanted to know where I can get some water to refill my water gourd." he pointed out a small gourd that was attached to a belt slung loosely around his waist. Suddenly, his emerald eyes brightened, "This is my first time away from Parinenai, and I want to explore everything on this planet, to have as many adventures as I can! Would you..." though still a little wary, "...like to accompany me? We'll discover new things together!" Terry threw out his hand awaiting it to be shaken to seal their deal and start their new adventure.

Demoiselle looked at the the green haired boy a little hesitantly. The boy was scared of him he could tell so why was he offering to travel with him? Demoiselle didn't know the answer to that questioned, but having a traveling companion was better than being alone so Demoiselle shook the boys hand and forced a small smile. "I believe I saw a river a little ways from here if you would like to follow me," stated Demoiselle standing up a little awkwardly since he was now going to be traveling with a complete strange. Could he even trust this merboy?

Terry's smile grew as the Dragonis took his hand. He was so glad to have made a new friend so soon after leaving home! "Great this is going to be so much fun! I can tell! Traveling together, just you and me!" The boy tugged the older man to the entrace of the building. As soon as they were outside, their strides matching almost perfectly (because he was short, Terry had to jog a little in order to keep up) "By the way, my name is Terrence Umeria, but you can call me Terry! All my friends call me that!"

"My name's Demoiselle Flyer," introduced Demoiselle a little taken back at how bubbly Terry was, "there's a river just over the hill." Demoiselle again to the lead leading them both through the busy streets and to the river. "You can fill your canteen her," stated Demoiselle trying to pull his hand out of Terry's without him noticing. Demoiselle wasn't really one for being touched he always felt a little awkward and at times vunerable when strangers touched or even just brushed up against him.

Eyeing the fresh flowing river, Terry's smile turned to one of rememberance. He loved playing in the fresh water springs on Parinenai when he was little. His grasp on Demoiselle's hand loosened and contact fell away as the merboy jogged off toward the water's edge and at first lapped some water into his hands and tasted it just to make sure it was fresh. Then he took the gourd from his waist belt and filled it all the way near to the brim.
Just then something in the water was caught out of the corner of his eye, emerald eyes glimmered. Terry waded out a little ways to the middle of the river, and quietly and calmly, lowered his hands beneath the surface...and ever so paitiently the boy waited...

Demoiselle watched as Terry walked into the river. What was he doing? Demoiselle felt lazy though just enjoying the light breeze that was blowing so he chose not to voice his question, but he watched the boy patiently expecting for something to happen at any moment. Demoiselle flinched a little after a few seconds of waiting he wasn't use to having his wings hidden so long so as quietly as he could be let his white wings sprout from his back deciding not to turn into a dragon completely so not to frighten the merboy. Demoiselle gave a silent sigh of relief as the pain went away and went back to watching the merboy.

The cool breeze shifted through the long thick strands of green hair, but Terry pay it no mind, however, the breeze itself seemed to relax his mind a little as well as his lithe body, almost lulling glistening emeralds that now reflected the sun's image on the water surface, into a light yet dreamful slumber like a lullaby that he could hear his papa sing to him in his dreams.
"Almost..." The boy whispered under his breath. Suddenly, he clapped his hands together under the water, and pulled upward raising his arms over his head. "Got ya!" Terry cried excitedly. In his hands, wriggling with it might was a scaly, slippery fish about as long as Terry's forearm. Green eyes then turned back to Demoiselle, "are you hungry too? I'm sure I can catch another if you want!"
(OOC: Forgive me, but I am going to be offline most of this weekend. My internet access will be extremely limited. I hope to be back Sunday, or the earliest would be Saturday evening)

Demoiselle looked at Terry raising an eyebrow. This merboy really was very hyper and Demoiselle wasn't use to it, but he could get use to it he guessed. "I'm fine," assured Demoiselle his wings flickering a little, "I'm not very hungry the plane ride over wasn't exactly comfortable."

"oh...okay." Terry waded to the river's edge, the squirming fish still in his hands. The merboy srambled up and plopped himself down on a huge rock. He slipped a bit because he was still wet all over. When the fish finally stopped squirming, the boy layed it down next to him, and only then did he acknowledge the fact that he had gotten his pants wet too. "Oh...and this is the only pair I brought with me!!" Terry frowned a little, then blushed as he inclined his head toward Demoiselle. "you don't mind...do you?" Before waiting for an answer, the merboy slipped behind the rock, hidden the from view, and in the next moment, a pair of petite worn brown pants were draped over the rock.
A splash was then heard and Terry reappeared waist deep in the river.

Demoiselle raised a questioning eyebrow at Terry, but really didn't mind he probably had habits that the merboy would find a little strange to but the day was getting hot so Demoiselle decided that Terry had a good idea. Demoiselle hid his wings again not liking getting them wet, pulled off his shirt, and slip slowly into the water. "This is nice," mumured Demoiselle enjoying the cool water on his skin and turning to Terry, "why would you ever want to leave the water for something like hard earth? I know I don't wish to part from the sky for too long. The plane ride must have killed you."

Terry swam around for awhile, sometimes floating quietly on the surface and at other moments diving below. Though as he peeked his green haired head above the water, he couldn't help but smile as he saw that the other had joined him. He stretched his body and layed out to float on the surface again, as he heard Demoiselle speak.
"Yeah, I guess it was sort of uncomfortable, but I was having too much fun! It was my first time away from my home planet! I want to go on adventures, and visit all the planets I've ever read about! I can't let a little thing like cramped plane rides stop me! My dad is too overprotective anyway! Don't get me wrong! I love my father, I suppose that's why the one thing that's always made me turn back during my previous attempts at trying for an adventure was stay by papa's side; this is the first time I've gotten this far." Terry sighed, sitting up a little, "But still, I have to keep myself hidden. If dad found me he would surely bring me home and never let me go outside again!"
Terry didn't know why he would tell about his family to this person, a stranger, a Dragonis of all people! But none the less, the more time he spent with Demoiselle the more comfortable the boy felt being in the other's presence.

Demoiselle gave a small smile, it seemed the two had more in common than he expected maybe hanging out with the merboy wasn't so bad. "So you're father is over protective too? My father doesn't know I'm gone either so I suppose staying hidden is for the best of us. Why is your father so protective? My father, he's a famous dragon explorer and I use to travel with him all the time, but once my mother was killed he won't let me even 50 feet near a plane. I got lucky obviously since I'm here, but I have a feeling he'll search for me, but what can I say? The need to explore is in my blood so I guess we'll have our adventures together." Demoiselle felt a little odd having blurted that all out, but they were going to be traveling together so they might as well as be friends. Having that thought out of the way Demoiselle serenely floated around Terry, "this is nice. Maybe one day you will know what it is like to fly just like I know what it feels like to swim."
