Small Beginnings...

Matti Smartt, a young teenager with the air of one whom is wise beyond his years, kicks back in the lazy boy lawn chair he dragged by his family's indoor/out door pool. His stature is covered by nothing, but a small pair of swim trunks and his hands rest behind his head. Over a set of thick, dark,dark sun glasses the teen watches his little brother, "Put on you're floaties, kid."

A blond five year old's head jerks up as he is called out to. His normal get up of a pikachu get up a little wet from splashing the shallows of the chlorine clear water. His head band blending in perfectly with his slightly spiked hair and blue eyes sparkle with excitement at the idea of falling in. It is a rather hot day today after all.

"Jae, seriously," The older brother says sternly. "Mom and Dad may not care. But I do." Jae, the blond boy, giggles as he gives the water one last slap before getting to his feet, for he had been kneeling to reach the water, and heads over to the tool shed.

"I be back, Matti~!"

Mu sat by his bearer on the swing on the back porch, lightly resting his head on the man's shoulder, his ears flicking as he listened to a soft lullaby. The platinum blonde beauty gently stroked the boy's hair, and soothed the boy's nerves, the breeze gently tussled their hair. The mother heard their neighbors and looked to his dozing child. "Mu? Do you want to see if it's alright to go see your friend?" he asked looking to the wide eyed child.

Mu smiled and looked up to his mother and smiled lightly, nodding, as he nuzzled the man's chest. The mother laughed lightly and tussled the boy's hair and grabbed his hand and walked him into the house. He handed the boy his green jeweled coat, with long sleeves and a hood. The boy obediently pulled it on and pulled the hood over his head, pressing his ears down. He looked up at his mother and smiled. Grabbing his hand again and walking over to the Gate next door.

The mother smiled at the two boys and looked over to the eldest. "Hello boys, you having fun?" he asked, "Do you think it'd be alright for you to watch little Mu, while I go out for for groceries?" he asked. Mu looked over the gate innocently eyeing the pool with aw.

Matti pulls off his sun glasses and flashes a smile, "Well... Mom and dad aren't home right now. But sure." And Jae had rushed over to the gate, his pika ears bouncing wildly.

"Mu~!" He opens the gate to hug his friend close before smiling brightly at what his brother said. "We can go swimming~!"

Adrian smiled cheerfully, and nodded, "Thanks boys, I won't be long, I'll be sure to call your mother so you don't get in trouble," he told them looking down at little Mu being hugged by the human boy. "I'll be back soon Mu, you two have fun," he said kissing Mu's forehead and walking back to the house next door.

Mu smiled softly at his good friend, and looked up at Matti nervously, "I-Is it alright if I swim with him?" he asked frowning, gripping the insides of his pawed sleeves and twiddled his toes, stay close to Jae's side.

"No problem," Matti calls after the receding parent as Jae waves bye.

Matti nods, "Yea, sure, kid..." And he gets to his feet and heads to the back door. "C'mon, lets get you two suited up." Jae rushes over, bouncing as he goes, and takes his older brother's hand as well as now holding onto Mu's.

"Yay, swim~ming~!" The younger sibling practically sings as he's lead up the stairs and drags his friend behind him. "I call red!" He's talking about the swim trunks he has. A red pair, a green pair, and a black pair. The last being way too big for him, but too small for Matti so they were given to him.

The little blond smiles to his pale haired companion when they enter his currently clean room. His many toys placed away in a large wooden box and clothes are mostly handing except for his play clothes which are in the dresser. Matti releases his brother to pull out the trunks, "Alright, who is first?" Jae, even though he's five, still needs help getting dressed for anything. Though, normally, his "nurse maid" does so for him, Matti takes up this chore every now and again when the elderly woman is taking her daily break. So the older human holds out the green pair. "Jae said he wanted the red pair, is green okay with you, little guy?"

Mu's face lit up when he was granted permission to swim with his best friend, and jumped still not used to how loud the boy was all the time and stumbled behind him as he was dragged inside. He stomped up the stairs, the two brothers moving faster than he did. He made a small little sound of satisfaction as he reached the top of the stairs and stepped into the younger brothers room. He looked around curiously, always seeming to find something new each time he came in.

He looked to Jae as he grinned at him before craning his little neck up to look Matti in the eyes. He looked to the lime green trunks and flushed a little, nodding his head. He reached out and grabbed the trunks from Jae's older brother and walked away, knowing how to change on his own by now. He blushed a little, uneasy about changing in front of the other two.

His top was a bit too large for him and if he pulled it all the way down it'd easily cover his upper legs. He pulled his arms into his hoodie and pulled off his short little orange shorts and let them drop before picking up the lime green swimming trunks. He pulled them on and put his arms back into his hoodie the right way and looked back up at the two, before pulling off his hoodie, his little blonde ears popping up.

Jae and Matti don't notice right away because the brother's are dressing as well. Once Jae is dressed in nothing but the dark red swim trunks, and his brother is satisfied that they're on right, Jae rushes over to Mu, "Lets get our floaties!!!!"

Matti looks over in time to see Mu getting pulled out of his brother's room, "Do jump in yet, okay you two!" And then fishes around for sunscreen the maid keeps in Jae's top drawer before following. "You two will burn with out this stuff."

But Jae ignores his brother as he heads for the shed now, a bright smile on his face, "C'mon Mu~."

Mu stumbled after Jae, deciding he'd never be ready to run with Jae whenever he was excited. He looked back at Matti wondering if what he was doing was alright. He looked back to Jaw still confused as he was dragged in front of the shed and handed a bright orange inner tube already blown up and looked at it confused. He looked back at Matti with a questioning look, holding the inner tube like a steering wheel.

He looked to Jae who picked out another floatie for himself and Mu grabbed him pulled him gently to Matti, he was already feeling his skin burn, his usually still ears dropping in discomfort. Mu sat down next to Matti his face red, "D-do you need to put it on?" He asked nervously.

"Yeah, holdon," Matti says softly as he begins to put the sunscreen on both the boys. '' No pikachus in the pool." Jae pouts as Matti takes off his head band before turning back to Mu. He helps the little boy get on the tube.

"So you don't drown," Matti says softly before holding his hand out to the boy. "No kittens in the pool either."

Mu stood quietly as the older brother rubbed sunscreen all over his little body, and around the large clumsy inner tube. He watched as Matti took the headband Jae was wearing and didn't think much of it till he was told to take of "his." Mu's face fell as he covered his delicate ears with his hands and shook his head, "Nooo I can't," he began to cry, "They're my, mine," he said backing away. He really didn't want to disobey orders but he couldn't take them off they were his real ears.

Matti's eyes scrunch closed slightly and this is when Jae decides to save Mu from being further scared. He takes a running leap into the pool and then doesn't come back up. The blond of course doesn't know how to swim!!!

Jumping into action the older brother dives in after the five year old sibling. To drag him out spitting and coughing, "You... You... BAKA! BAD!!! Stupid kid!" Jae just clears his lungs of water.

Mu gasped when Jae jumped into the pool, he began to run after him, but Matti was much larger and quicker, he dived in and in about a minute or so came back up with Jae. Mu sighed in relief and ran over to Matti hugging him instinctively, "You're okay~" he said happily. He pulled away and looked at his inner tube, and pulled it off, and handed it to his friend. "Here, you need it more than me," he said with a smile.

He turned to the yelling brother and then to the pool, before sitting down on the edge and pushing himself in. At first he sunk quite a bit but in a matter of seconds Mu was treading water on the deep end. "See? I'll be fine," he said with a smile.

Jae just giggles and moves past his brother and into the water, "Yay~!" And this time he doesn't sink thanks to the inner tube. Matti growls lowly before blinking and sighing.

"Okay, so he can swim, but you can't?" Grumbling he sits on the edge of the pool in order to make sure neither boy goes under again. "Jae? Just don't drown!"

"Ok~!"

Mu smiled and dived under the water and swimmed around a bit before popping up again a few feet from Jae. H e laughed lightly and shook his head about, flinging water everywhere, his little ears twitching for a small bit. He slimmed over to Jae and smiled brightly.

Jae hugs Mu and gives him a sloppy, kid kiss, "Love ya, Mu." before kicking away happily.
