As I watched the stars pass by I began calculating how much I should spend on the Zercan's crafts and how much drek-ale I should sell to them and at what price in order to make the best profit. Lost in my thoughts I didn't noitice when Bilgisayar, my personal computer, warned me that my business associate on Zerca was transmitting a call to me. Korenar appeared on my screen and had to call my name several times before I noticed him.
"Hello? Korenar? What do you want?" I demand as soon as he quited his rant of my unattentiveness.
"I just called to tell you to be wary. There are enemy ship that have been spotted along your travel route not long ago."
"There is no need to worry over my well-being. You will get your drek-ale, that I will see to myself."
"Very good. Then I bid you farewell." I nodded and the screen turned back to the stars as the call was ended. I sighed and leaned back in my chair, returning to my calculations.

"Cloudaeis!!!!" I don't wanna! The couch is too comfortable. I stretched and looked to my brother as he entered the livingroom. I raised an eyebrow at the formal way he was dressed, "Going somewhere?"
"Yes, actually," he smiled, "There's a trade going down at my work."
"And what does this have to do with me?" I sat up, regretting the move as my head swam with dizziness.
"I want you to come with me. My coworkers have been dying to meet you..."
I sighed. I can't deny my brother anything. He's my role model afterall. The one I look up to. Well, for now... If I ever meet my mate, I'll look up to him more, but for now, it's just my brother.
"Fine..."
"Good. I've already picked out clothes for you." I think my eye just twitched...

Finally, after what I assume was several hours of me being lost in my calculations, Bilgisayar announced we were to be landing in but a few minutes. Once safely on the ground I swiftly exited the ship, instructing my crew to bring the crates of drek-ale to the Con's Corp tower. 'What ar ironic name. Cons couldn't be a more acurrate name for the people who use that tower' I mused to myself, not the least bit ashamed by my less-than-perfect history dealing with these trades. As I approached the large structure, I began to let my mind wonder to the next business meeting I was to attend while on this planet. It was to be with the owner of a well-known chain of bars. Not paying attention to where I was going I nearly ran into a post, turning just in time to avoid it.
"Hmm, perhaps it would be best to think of the later matters....well....later." I muttered as I strode into the building, quickly making my way to the 4th floor and down the hall to the main conference room. Upon entering I found it to be empty.

"Clou! We're sooo late because of you! The first time I get to represent the company to a very important businessman, and YOU have to trash the clothes I picked for you AND take forever getting dressed in...in...." He went quiet as we walked into the building. Thank you....
I was told to wait in the lobby as he rushed to the conference room. I sighed and relaxed into a chair, beginning to hum to myself. I could just imagine him bursting in there and apologizing repeatedly. I chuckled at the thought.

I sat impaitently waiting for my associate to arrive. Finally, several minutes late and panting a bit, my associate burst into the room and began appologizing. I held up a hand and he quited, much to my ear's relief.
"It is fine, now please take a seat so that we may get on with our meeting." With a simple gesture toward the seat near him, he sat and we began to discuss prices and quantity or our products. After several hours of debating and bargaining we finally settled on a deal that pleased us both. As we stood I offered to treat him to dinner, feeling this would be a convient way to strengthen the business relationship while also filling my stomach, having not eaten all day. As we walked along he chatted about a few small personal matters. It wasn't until we arrived in the lobby that I actually paid even a shread of attention.

"Mr. Petros, I'd like for you to meet my younger brother, Cloudaeis."
I looked up at the sound of my name. I had to blink a couple of times at the older man. I felt suddenly out of place in my ripped jeans and tight shirt. I stood, trying to calm myself. This has to be a first for me. Freaking out. I held out my hand, biting my lower lip softly. I feel like I know him... I looked out the corner of my eye at my brother as he smiled.

I stop and stare at the youth persented to me. He was dressed like a common outfit, much like you would find on a thug of the streets. Somehow, though, on him it looksed stunning, his shirt clinging to his torso and his ripped jeans showing a bit of the smooth skin underneath. I looked at the hand he offered me and although I didn't truely want to touch this boy it would be hazardous to the partnership if I were to reject the boy, or that is what I tried to convince myself of. Truthfully, this boy seemed to draw me in, as if he was a magnet or a black hole.
"Hello, I am Petros Dimitriou. It is a pleasure to meet you." As soon as I grabbed his hand to shake it an electric shock seemed to pass though me, leaving the parts of my hand where he was touching me tingeling oddly. I quickly released his hand and cleared my throat before suggesting we go and eat.

I shivered slightly when he let go. That shock... I looked to my brother questioningly. Dinner?
"Ah, yes," my brother smiled at Petros before leading us out. I followed slowly, unsure of whether or not I should really follow them. It was undeniable what I had just felt. It seemed so soon though. He had to be my mate...

As we walked out to the rental vehicle I asked for I began to ponder the feeling that boy gave me...Clou I believe was his name. I had heard of instances like this but never even dreamed it would happen to me. The boy must be my mate. 'How useless! Of all the strong, influencial businessmen I could have mated with, I get a worthless boy as my mate! I'd be better off alone. I have no time to babysit this kid.' We arrived at the resturant and proceeded to move inside where I went to the host and told him my name before he immediately led us to a secuded table near the back.
"Order whatever you'd like, tonight is my treat."

"What a very generous offer, Mr. Petros, but I suggest we split the check. It'd be rude to let you pay for the both of us..."
I felt sick. Truly sick to my stomach. My brother noticed and murmured his concern to me. I simply shook my head and told him I was fine. I don't need to be worried over. I need to relax. I excused myself a few moments later and walked to the bathroom. I couldn't even follow their conversation...

Noticing the pale tint of the boy's face an unknown emotion wiggled it's way into my chest. Pushing it to the back of my mind I watched Clou leave to the bathroom. Once he was out of my line of sight I tried to focus on his brother but after a few seconds of not being able to think of anything but the kid I decided to excuse myself. I walked calmly to the restroom and entered to find the boy leaning over the sink a bit.

I kept my eyes shut tightly even as i heard the door shut as someone walked in. I couldn't open them even if I wanted to. Maybe I was mistaken about him being my mate. Maybe... Maybe I just need to go to a doctor or something.
Or maybe....he really is my mate, and these rushing feelings are the effect of seeing him for the first time.

I clear my throat, not knowing why I even followed him. When he refused to look up I walked over and turned him around rather roughly so that he was facing me. My hands tingled a bit where they touched him but I chose to ignore the sensation for the time being. Instead I stared down at the boy in front of me, not knowing what to do or say, just having a strange urge to know what was wrong with him.

I slowly looked up at him, feeling my eyes tearing up. I don't know what to do. How is one prepared to meet their mate. I always thought my brother would find his first. Not me! I held back the tears as I stared at him, trying to calm. This is too much. I almost wish that I had just stayed curled up on the couch at home.
"You..." I couldn't continue.

Ah, geez! Now the brat was about to cry! This is way too much trouble for this one simple partnership. With a loud sigh I let go of his shoulders, giving them a light push as I did so. I glare at the kid and detatch myself from all these wierd feelings that keep creeping up on me.
"Look kid. I know me and your brother are in a business partnership but that doesn't mean I'm going to baby you like he seems to. So whatever is your problem I suggest you suck it up and be a man or go find yourself a counselor, because I am not bothering with your petty problem."I snap harshly before turning and striding out and back to the table.
